Everything, owners went above and beyond, the breakfast was on point and cooked perfectly. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will stay again.

The whole hotel was fantastic, the owners, staff and rooms. Balcony was great, breakfast fantastic and rooms spacious and comfortable with large bathroom. Thankyou for a great 3 nights, we will be back.

The tv doesn’t hold its signal and is very “pixelated” - many channels unwatchable. I guess that’s why there are so many DVDs to borrow!

The young lady on reception showed me to my room and gave me a full rundown of everything including the functions of the tech which almost never happens in other places. The room was really nice and comfy with lovely decor throughout. Breakfast was great as were all the staff giving that personal touch. I will be back for sure.

Everything in the hotel was clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly. Room was comfortable, breakfast was lovely. En-suite exceeded expectations, shower was powerful, bath had a jacuzzi function and a tv built in. Thought my wife was going to stay in there all night. The room had so many small extra touches, too many to mention. We were using the hotel as an overnight stop after a road trip round Scotland. Stayed at some nice places along the way. This matched the best. If I ever went back to Blackpool I would choose to stay here again as my first choice.

No aircon, and the fan provided was noisy.

The hosts and Janet made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was top notch and we will be back!!

The staff were very welcoming they took time out to have a natter. The hotel is literally a 4 min walk to tram stop. They staff told us where it was and how much it was . The food was lovely and plenty of it. Our room was great too. A very nice few days away. Thanks guys

Claire and her staff were fantastic. It is very well cleaned, facilities were excellent, bed is very comfortable, there is even a box in the wardrobe with a lint roller, scissors etc incase you forget anything. Overall, very friendly, clean, well run with a fantastic breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble. Very happy we chose to stay here.

People who run hotel lovely the lady was so bubbly and friendly giving us loads of information. Room very spacious Lovely bathroom with whirlpool bath Bed wasn't very comfortable pillows far to soft. Kids pull out Bed wasn't comfortable. I thought a bit overpriced for one night b&b Though we did have a lovely time I'd say the hotel is a good 4 star not 5 star. The girl who worked there was very helpful and lovely also though. Breakfast was average even though they do try to provide good service. It's very clean and they did try to accommodate everything we requested

I booked to stay one night in Blackpool and decided to stay at the Number One Hotel in the southern part of the town. Prior to my stay I got a message from the hotel to confirm my booking and what time I would be arriving. I tried to reply to the email but was not able to so I called them instead and everything was sorted. I was travelling by train and the hotel is not too far from the Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station so I got off there and with the help of google maps was able to find the hotel quite easily. I got checked in OK and was shown to my room by the receptionist. There is a lift to get up and down to floors and it is big enough for a small mobility scooter. There is also a staircase. When coming back to the hotel late at night your key card for the room will also open the front door. I was in the Baroque room which has a sea view. MY GOODNESS! WHAT A ROOM! It was so nice! I felt very special. My room had a huge double bed, a sofa and a lovely bathroom with a bath with a jacuzzi feature. I slept really well in my comfy bed and the next morning decided to try the jacuzzi feature which was brilliant. I really had a relaxing time in the bath. There were plenty of toiletries provided as well as bath salts to give the bath a little fizz. There were also tea, coffee and biscuits available. I had booked breakfast for 8:30 am and there was a selection of fruit and cereals available and I had requested a full cooked breakfast which was lovely. I also asked for green tea and this was provided too. The staff were all really lovely. Very chatty and I felt very relaxed and welcome. If you want a stay with an extra special bit of luxury when in Blackpool then I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely small touches like dressing gown and slippers provided which I indulged in for the first time ever My husband enjoyed the spa bath and Tv The room was quiet but a little warm due to it being south facing The hosts were an absolute delight and chatted away like old friends, we felt like we’d know them for years Breakfast was lovely but be aware if you order porridge and a cooked breakfast, the porridge portion was quite big Lots of options for breakfast and I feel that if you wanted something a little extra it wouldn’t have been any bother for them

Great location away from the centre but very near a tram stop. Hosts were extremely welcoming and happy to assist in anyway. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice and even able to customise further upon request. Room very bright and was informed it would be getting a facelift 2 days after we checked out. Lots of lovely little touches, box of items in the room which guests may have forgot to bring. Even got an Easter egg on Easter Sunday.

Furniture a little dated but was getting changed.

Just back from an Easter break & this B&B was exceptional from the minute we walked through the doors, the decor was 2nd to none. The host's couldn't have done anything more for us to make our stay any better, the rooms were the best I've ever stayed in, warm & very comfortable, great choice of breakfasts every morning met by Claire & her husband, they even left us Easter eggs on the Sunday morning, cannot fault this place whatsoever, so if your ever in blackpool this is definitely thee best place to stay, everything was so handy to get to, I can see now why its called number one south beach as it's definitely 1 on the chart.

The bedroom and hotel was stunning and very well kept. I especially enjoyed spending £25 on a necklace for my girlfriend.

Hotel with a personal touch to its interior. Breakfast was great and the room was complete with some extra interesting features, such as a tv in the bathroom.

I believe people book this to be away from the center, but it was quite far by tram/car if you do want to go there. The rooms may feel a bit dated.

The location was good, opposite the trams. Partial sea view. The balcony would have been lovely in warmer weather. The bed was very comfy, and the spa bathroom was great. The owners were lovely, and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent facilities, extremely friendly staff, great location and all round wonderful value for money. As a frequent traveller I stay in lots of smaller hotels up and down the country and this was certainly one of the best, made our stay an absolute joy!

The hosts made you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive they couldn’t do enough for you, this goes for all the staff. Breakfast was exceptional always cooked well and the orange juice best I’ve ever had.

From walking into the hotel to complementary mulled wine and mince pies, checking in, drinks in the bar, breakfast and check out the staff couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. Everywhere was beautifully but tastefully trimmed up for Christmas, creating a very cozy, homely feel. Breakfast choice was exceptional and plenty of it. Would definitely recommend and stay again in future.

Leaving!

On a flying visit back to UK from Cambodia to see friends and family before Christmas. Having been travelling for almost 24 hrs, I was exhausted when I arrived, but I received a very warm and friendly welcome from the owner who personally showed me to my room. The facilities were excellent, with a power shower, whirlpool bath and a very comfortable bed, so I slept very well. The entire hotel was tastefully decorated with high-end furnishings and the Christmas decorations made the place look very festive. The owners provided a 5 star cooked breakfast, using only high quality products, plenty of choice with fresh fruit, yoghurt and toast etc with good sized portions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, which was worth every penny, it's just a shame I couldn't stay longer, but I need to be back in Siem Reap for Christmas, as it's our busiest time of the year. But, I now know where to stop if I were to visit Blackpool again.

Very friendly, beautifully decorated and fantastic location with a tram stop just across the road. Cooked to order breakfast with a pot of tea or coffee, delicious There was even a DVD player and dvd’s available free of charge to watch with a tube of Pringles on a cold afternoon. I loved the whirlpool bath with a TV in the bathroom 😀

From arrival we were in the care of South Beach. Warm welcoming and slick. Taken to our room, every aspect explained, service (Abby is such a star)rooms comfortable and after a chilly Blackpool soaking the jacuzzi bath, complimentary bath robes, bath salts etc perfection. Faultless if only they could order better weather next time LOL 6 stars out of 5

A very friendly atmosphere and excellent service. The decor is sumptuous and very tasteful. Loved the special touches such as the tv in the bathroom, the spa bath, the lighting selection, luxurious furnishings and the comfortable bed. Just returned from a lovely little stay at Number One South Beach in Blackpool. The accommodation was excellent and Mark the owner was super friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect, super clean, lovely bedding and towels, and all the facilities you would ever need for a little trip away. The bathroom was immaculate and we had the added bonus of a little balcony. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending 'Number One South Beach' to family and friends and we've already booked to stay again.

Fabulous accommodation WoW, great location. Quite on the South side of Blackpool. 5 star welcome from Claire on our arrival. Checking in no issues, helped with our luggage to our room. Given a room guide/ tour. Room was fantastic with a balcony looking out onto Solaris Gardens, Mirror ball and views of the promenade. comfortable bed, spa bath, shower, dressing gown and slippers, toiletries, towels and a box full of extras you might need during your stay. Claire, Mark and team the really helpful and friendly made our stay very enjoyable. Great choice of breakfast given a breakfast list the day before for the next morning. Breakfast In the morning made by Mark with was cooked to perfection 5/5. Plenty of free parking, great transport links tram station short 5 minute walk away stopping at all of Blackpool’s world famous attractions. Bus stops located close by. Not far walk from the Pleasure Beach/ South Pier. Would highly recommend.

Easy to find. Close to all attractions. Lovely room but a bit small. There was an unpleasant odour coming from bathroom. Spoke with owner who stated this happens sometimes due to the “trap” and proximity to the sea.

We chose Number One Hotel as our “night away” instead of the usual town centre selections. We were totally amazed by everything this beautiful place had to offer. From the warm welcome, the tour of the room, the standard of the room and its facilities to the amazing breakfast provision. Will totally choose Number One Hotel as our place to go again - thank you ever so much! The bedroom was so cosy, well decorated and a bed and linen to guarantee a good night sleep. The L shaped sofa and fridge allowed us to enjoy a cold drink and some DVDs from the downstairs library. The bathroom was incredible with the jet bath and built in TV making a relaxing bathtime! So so impressed by this obvious little gem of a Blackpool hotel!
