Location was excellent for us and the availability of gluten free options on the menu was excellent.
The mirror in the bathroom was positioned far too high as all I could see was the top of my head. Whilst there was a full length mirror in the bedroom there was no lighting over the mirror and the lights in the room were particularly dim.
Period and v pleasant Staff. Excellent
Velký světlý prostor včetně koupelny, stylové vybavení, krásný výhled z oken a parkování hned pod okny 👍👍👍

The staff where extremely friendly and the breakfast was incredible. Locally sourced sausage and bacon 10 out of 10
Leaving
Rooms had doors straight onto grass area, excellent for our dog. Friendly staff.
Bed nit as comfortable as expected.
stylish and homely
Beautiful location and well designed. Great breakfast!

Great location and amazing staff
Although a wedding was happening they finished early enough that noise did not disturb sleep
I emailed requesting an early check in from 3 to 12. In my travels I have never been sked to pay for this as rooms are usually available either because they have not been used or housekeeping have finished the changeover on time. The cost they hotel wanted as unfair. Also reception had not checked their emails and did not know about our request. After a long journey this was not great. The response from reception was passive aggressive saying " I suppose we could sway your rooms to those already available. The hotel would have had an excellent rating if it were not for staff handling of our situation. As indeed rooms were available. We were not charged in the end but my point is given we were not charged we would have felt wonderful if we had not had the passive aggressive comments and attitude made while we had to stand around waiting for a resolve. Similarly I had reserved breakfast for us on the same email. On the morning we went to the restaurant and were told to just take a seat. Instead of being greeted proper.y something far more important was on the computer. We did as directed and chose a table and were then chased by the staff on duty as our breakfast was not prepaid even though a charge of my credit card had been taken. Again another load pf passive aggressive remarks when if someone had read my email none of it was necessary. Breakfast - the plates were cold, the breakfast buffet was not heated properly the effect was cold food. I ordered paosched eggs and avocado and got guacamole! I don;lt like the taste of chilli at breakfast and that was not what was advertised on the menu. I asked for a hot latte and was told to use the machine. The latte was lukewarm warm. I tested it and while an americano was hot the hot milk was t best tepid so then combined for a latte it meant the drink was only just warm. When asked if everything was alright we explained and the member of staff said sorry she could only make lattes when they were not as busy!
Lovely quiet location, could not fault the room or the view, perfect for dogs with a ‘doggy menu’ and walks, food was amazing, staff were attentive, professional and happy.
Could not fault.
Friendly, good location, good menu choice, lovely rooms and grounds
Nice place
Food wasn’t great even though was told it had won awards Room was so hot no aircon just a small fan but useless
The room was small and ill equipped. The bathroom did not have enough shelving for items - we had to keep things on the floor and the shower gel and shampoo bottles looked like they came out of a xmas cracker! Lighting in thd bedroom was very dim and no instructions for AC unit. Bin was not emptied. Perhaps there are better rooms?
We ate in the pub. Staff were very professional and friendly. FOOD WAS AMAZING! Breakfast was also delicious and portions were huge.
One location , two it was quite, free. I just missed out on the food on a Sunday night.
I had my bedroom in the coach houses, which is really nice.
Lovely venue, and surroundings, very generous portions, staff very attentive and friendly. Our waiter was very entertaining, lovely chap, witty, exactly the right person for the job. Made us laugh. Don't know his name he was portugese/ Spanish. Very polished.
Nice & quite, staff always make my stay memorable ❤️
Had a slight fall
The food ad staff are very good in both the pub section and the restaurant. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and it was very busy in both areas so clearly the Hotel has got a good reputation for the food. We stayed in the "Boat Room" Junior suite and the size, decor and furniture within the room created a real WOW factor.
The pub section furniture is very tired in places and could do with reupholstering or switching out and the outdoor areas such as the garden lakes and ponds look very tired and unloved. I'm sure the recent heatwave hasn't helped. Its a real shame because the grounds are are stunning in some areas. Its a bit of a mismatch of loved and unloved to be honest. The front door to the room could also do with repainting - its very tired looking and creates a poor first impression to an otherwise really impressive suite.
Friendly staff. Lovely room apart from the shower . Beautiful gardens.
The shower. No skimmmed milk at breakfast.
Fantastic staff, food amazing, beautiful surroundings.
Nothing
Staying at the manor .. on arrival it is beautiful. The grounds are stunning. Our room was in the courtyard which was really lovely. The shower unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. It is very outdated and I think a walk in shower would be better instead of in the bath. Breakfast was lovely but I would have liked to have seen perhaps skimmed milk available. The fruit was lovely. I did have to send my toast back because it came already buttered and I don’t eat butter. On the whole though breakfast was lovely. Perhaps I’m being picky but sorry this is my opinion…
A dear friend had offered to pick me up and drive to Healing Manor for coffee’s and a belated Birthday drink. Upon our arrival, we found the Pig and Whistle to be closed so we went through the main entrance to be met by staff who were trying to sort things out for a wedding. We were told that they didn’t open until midday! My friend casually said we were hoping for coffee’s and we didn’t realise they didn’t open before 12.00. One girl immediately said I’ll check with the Manager and returned to say please take a seat outside in the sun and someone will come to take your order. Ali is unable to sit in the sun so the Manageress came out to help with an umbrella allowing Ali to be in the shade and leave me in the sun. The waitress came out and said she would get whatever we waned and hoped we enjoyed our drinks. Nothing was too much trouble especially as got l got a wasp in my drink which was quickly replenished with a smile. We spent a delightful couple of hours including a light lunch for Ali. The grounds looked absolutely delightful as were the staff. Thank you for such a lovely few hours which I did manage to say so to the Manager as we were leaving.
Gorgeous surroundings and building. Room was beautifully decorated and designed:
the room and bed were wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The food was not as brilliant as I was hoping. The Puttanesca with prawns should have been called Prawn Linguine. The fish and chips were very good. The breakfast was ok - but the juice and the bread could have been better
Staff were excellent as always. Physical location of the hotel is lovely.
We were informed just a few hours before arriving that there was a wedding taking place and that it was likely to be noisy. Our room was tiny (and I'm convinced not the one we'd pay for) and the shower room/toilet smelled terribly damp and musty. The food has always been excellent, but we were disappointed with the evening meal. Despite the hotel knowing they had around 75 people booked for breakfast, they ran out of several items by 09:00hrs. To make matters worse, my partners breakfast (cooked from the kitchen) had a hair in it! She was offered an alternative, but of course declined.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff couldn't do enough for you
A lovely independent hotel, our fourth stay and just as good if not better. We arrived on a Sunday so booked and enjoyed a roast lunch in the restaurant , food was excellent. Service very good from everyone with friendly staff, and pet friendly which is important to us . Highly recommended. Anne Flint
Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely location
Excellent restaurant
Proper aircon
Food excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.
Bedroom quite small and mattress needs updating.
Lovely comfy bed, spacious room .Stayed here several times only in executive rooms so can’t comment on main hotel rooms. Will return
Nothing
Friendly and welcoming employees
The bedroom wasn’t clean and every time you walk across the floor everything rattles.
Lovely place to stay and a really nice area. Staff were super and the food was excellent. I brought my dog and was made too feel very welcome. Thank you very much.
Nothing, everything was great
Lovely stay, the breakfast is amazing!
Our number 1 choice now when in the area since we have the understanding to be located separately from any wedding or other function. It's big enough to cope with any situation yet still Always like a 2nd home. I have several pencil drawings I have done over a period of the lovely place. A picture of one is below. I think the management could perhaps make use of them as prints for the walls or merchandise! It shows artist appreciation.
Nothing not to like other than a standard change for Electric car charging, which doesn't give smaller tariffs for hybrids with only capacity for 30-50 miles a smaller rete pro-rata.
Lovely weeks stay with my dog. Really nice location with lots of things to do and visit in the area. The hotel is lovely with fabulous grounds to explore either by yourself or with your furry friend. Staff are really kind and welcoming and the food is lovely. Thank you for a really nice stay.
The food was absolutely amazing, we had a 3 course Beef Wellington special which was a taste sensation! We have stayed at many highly rated hotel and the food here was the best we have experienced in along time. Staff very friendly and the room was lovely too.
The only thing was the air con was a bit noisy but due to the heat it was to be expected and happy we had it.
Tolles Herrenhaus und fantastisches Essen.
Breakfast & Dinner both excellent. Staff great, very helpful and friendly Ample parking
Room small, bathroom very small, with a toilet one end, a shower the other, with a hand basin in between, opposite the door. Room very dark very little natural light in what I presume was a converted stable/store room. Sunday lunch was a little disappointing, bland ! Room backed onto wedding venue entertainment area, with noise heard up until 1.30am Sunday morning. As an end room traffic from carpark on both sides heard throughout stay when in room
Healing Hotel Grimsby what a find , set in lovely grounds , my new favourite past time is watching the rabbits jumping round the lawns in the morning and evening. Every single member of staff we saw we totally amazing and helpful. The breakfast was so delicious and our evening meal at the Pig and Whistle onsite was outstanding and again staff were brillant . We stayed in the Exective double so lovely , the bed was so comfy slept well , the bathroom was really big had a very deep bath but the shower nearly took the colour out of my hair so powerful but great at the same time . Would so recommend this hotel and book quickly as they get full really quick . There is a little things I would say , the bathroom unless you have main light on , the air vent dosen't come on and you can't have window open because no catch to keep it open so mirrors get steamy so hard to do make up . Plug sockets in bedroom behind bureau quite hard to plug in because thats the only seat to sit on to dry hair, there is another mirror above fireplace but I am 5ft 3 1/2 so couldn't see in it. Also long mirror on wardrobe but can't fully see in it as bedside cabinet in the way. Take a little more milk teabags if you want more than two cups of tea . I am not going to finish with a little moan none of that would ever stop me from staying there again , its a little fem please go you won't regret it promise if you read any if my reviews I am honest
Very clean and comfortable room with good quality bed linen. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and hot food cooked fresh to order. Everywhere is clean and the staff are friendly.
Clean modern enough to keep character
No air conditioning our room was stifling
Location staff and breakfast was really good
Never slept due to what ever was behind a door in room 303 sounded like an industrial fridge really bad
Lovely location great price great food

Lovely hotel set in it's own grounds creates a relaxing atmosphere. Fabulous food and very friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
Excellent staff members, very friendly, super accommodating for our large dog. Food excellent, super clean, we had a great time
Room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. We ate lunch, evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. All were presented beautifully and of amazing quality. Staff very attentive.
Nothing
The quietness, the gardens.
Nothing.
Wedding anniversary stay and dinner. Everything about those plane is done at 5 star level. Food very high standard, wine and beer, staff attentive professional and very friendly. Good atmosphere. Room perfect, it has everything even a fridge, iron and board and hair dryer. A fan too, which was essential at sweaty as hell. No air con. Beautiful grounds. Breakfast was included and excellent. Couldn't fault the place. Would I return? In a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and friendly staff
Beautiful old building
We were invited to a party at the Healing Manor. An impressive coveted farm, with converted stables to stay the night. Comfortable bedrooms, with little noise from outside. The location a spacious and a fun location for a party. We had an English breakfast the morning after.
Breskfadt quality could be better
Beautiful hotel and gardens, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
Oddly the wardrobe had no rail and no hangers so no where to hang our clothes??!
Have to say we normally have a good meal at Healing Manor. We are a group of ladies who meet monthly at the Manor. However today's meal was very disappointing to say the least. I and several others had fish goujons with chips. Normally the goujons are very nice. Today however they were horrible and I think possibly frozen not the fresh fish we normally get. To top it off they we're very very overcooked and the fish very dry. Not good at all. A waste of money.
Every stay here is perfect
Nothing not to like
Staff, food was really good
All good
The staff are great, kind, open and attentive. Special mention for the breakfast service team who provide outstanding service. Beautiful location with nice walks around the hotel. Felt peaceful even with a wedding and two birthday parties (and reception staff went above and beyond to ensure we weren't disturbed). Very tasty cooked breakfast. Nice spaces to sit outside on 2 terraces. Big room with a fridge, tea and coffee supplies, water. Clean bathroom (bath falling a little apart at the seams, some TLC needed - but not a problem).
Our last stay was great. This time round we experienced significant inconsistencies in different areas of service quality; some processes need reviewing. 1) Sheet stains: On the first evening we removed the duvet to reveal stains on the bottom sheet that looked either like bodily fluids or some form of liquid makeup. The bed wasn't properly made at the top, the sheet too short to be tucked under. The next morning we reported this to the desk and asked for a bed linen change. When we got back the bed had been made but with the same stained sheets. We didn't bother to ask again. We reported it at checkout, but no-one from hotel management contacted us to acknowledge or apologise. 2) Restaurant quality checking: the cauliflower cheese that came out was dark brown, the colour and also the toughness of leather. We signalled this to a passing staff member and they first said that's how it comes out. After we insisted they exchanged it and it came out like the dishes on other tables - golden and soft enough to eat. Staff did seem exhausted and it had been a long hot day. 3) Wine price: £9.75 for a medium (175 ml) of white wine is just not reasonable. And offering the most expensive first (New Zealand) without highlighting the cost is not a fair policy - luckily, I asked how much it was. Having tasted a sample of the NZ last time I know it is not good enough to justify that price in a country pub.
Rural setting
Location and grounds
Food-slow in meeting demand of customers. Not keeping everything topped up, Food could have been hotter.
Staff were great. Really good food. Lovely setting.
Nothing
Pig and whistle food fantastic and good priced..grounds beutifull, staff lovely, clean comfortable room and really dog friendly.fastastic stay would definitely recommend and stay again
History and style and the grounds and gardens are beautiful
Lack of grab rail in bath shower
I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff are so friendly and hospitable- big shout out to Leah who gave me a free room upgrade. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant serves delicious food, I’d come back just to eat here again!
No complaints whatsoever, I loved everything about Healing Manor Hotel
The staff are exceptionally helpful, polite and attentive.
Overall it gives the impression of being in need of some TLC as at present it’s somewhat drab and dated.
the whole hotel is a lovely experience, the grounds and the wildlife , the outside seating all what I had hoped for.
VERY hot bedrooms, yes it was an exceptionally hot day. Not keen on other peoples dogs walking in the eating areas, Would have helped to have had easier access, stairs quite steep, but then I am 91 and most people would not find it a problem .Possibly chance to choose ground floor option on the booking form???
We love visiting Healing Manor. The food is always great and the staff very attentive.
This was our third visit in recent months. A bank holiday Monday so perhaps standards had dropped a touch with less staff? I’m not sure. There was a mix up with our food which we sorted at the table. Wrong steaks on the wrong plates.. we still really enjoyed it. The room was where we felt let down this time. It didn’t appear to have been vacuumed. And there was enough dust on the floor to write your name in. Especially under the sofa, it’s really thick under there. Cobwebs and spiders all around the room too. Something I’d make sure is clear when booking each room is that it’s either in the hotel (where we thought we were) or in the outside courtyard rooms (where we ended up) All that said, I’m certain we’ll return soon and hope for the same standards as previous visits.
Friendly helpful reception staff, comfortable room, grounds
Slow restaurant service, universal £15 electric car charge rate. Expensive for a plug in hybrid, (bargain for a full electric)
Very dog friendly. Dog bowl and treats in our room made us feel welcome. Food was delicious and being able to bring Milo into the bar area with me made the stay perfect.
.
Location nice and quiet ,staff pleasantand helpful ,food lovely in pub and restaurant
Nothing not to like
Great facilities
Nothing
Breakfast was good. Meals in the restaurant were very good.
Nothing
All good, no dramas
All ok
Our room was exceptional. Dinner in the Pig n Whistle was excellent and the staff were great.
Could have had a bin in the bathroom and directions how to use heating. Being from Australia we did not know how to use radiator heating.
Nice sized rooms, big bed, breakfast exceptional
Nothing, all very good
Beautiful grounds, good location, lovely building. We ate in the Pig & Whistle, great Fish and Chips. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Great welcome in the main restaurant for breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
We recently stayed as part of a wedding booking. The hotel grounds are stunning, really pretty and well maintained. There are multiple accomodation choices each offering different things. We stayed in the converted barn. Really pretty rooms with plenty of amenities. Only a small hiccup was the bathroom wasnt as clean as I would like - there was an old, used soap bar in the corner of our shower which was a bit of a shame. However, everything else was fine. Bed quite uncomfortable - mattress seemed old as it had a hueg dip in the middle, could probably do with being upgraded. The wedding was spectacular and all staff were fantastic.
Room space was generous and beyond expectation.
N/A
Quiet, good sleigh bed & linens. Bathroom newly refurbished
Tired sofas in Pig Bar , processed avocado paste on toast spoilt breakfast Cheap toiletries, take your own
Healing Manor is the perfect place to stay and have events. All of our family guests found the accommodation and meals wonderful. We had a buffet in the Cadogan suite for friends and family to remember a dear family member following a funeral. Many of the family members had to travel some distance to attend and so the hospitality provided enabled everyone to have only warm memories of the occasion. We were also aware that the hotel was hosting a wedding at the same time. How this could all be done so seamlessly is amazing.
Food was great as always , staff always very friendly
This is a beautiful hotel, steeped in history. The food is excellent and staff helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a larger room. It was well facilitated and a stunning room. The grounds are beautifully maintained and definitely worth exploring. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel.
The dining room is very noisy. Because several rooms have been opened up and there are few soft furnishings the noise travels. With that in mind, there isn’t really anywhere inside, cosy for a drink, it’s all geared for eating aside from maybe two tables. Aside from that, it’s a really lovely place which could be a world away from town.
Great location
Room was dirty, floors in particular and mouldy food in fridge. We got a crap room despite booking more premium room than other people in our party rooms were nicer. Maybe as we had our small dog. But paying £25 extra for him I expect rooms to be clean.
The hotel was very comfortable, we sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed the wonderful views.
Nothing really
Location excellent and food good
Layout is convoluted but that's to be expected from a building of that age
We had a lovely stay overall and would definitely come back. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the food was great. Breakfast was especially gorgeous and a real highlight. There were just a few things that took the shine off a little. The toilet wasn’t as clean as we’d have expected, and the bath drain seemed blocked, so the water backed up while we were standing in the shower. On the Friday night, there was also an incredibly noisy group in the restaurant who were clearly disturbing other guests, but no one seemed to ask them to calm down. We could still hear them later in the bar and even up in our room. That said, we did really enjoy it and would love to return, especially if those little issues could be sorted next time.
Lovely location, well maintained, really friendly staff
