Staff excellent
The room was very noisy throughout the night, seemed like I was above a large tumble dryer that ran all night. I wouldn't want room 27 again if and when I next stay.
Lovely property in an ideal location. Bedroom very clean and staff welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast exceptional with lots of choice - I had the continental option but full English was available too.
Everything was great
Superb Fish and Chips
Nice hotel
Wasn't made aware that there was a wedding taking place on our day of arrival, Wasn't able to sit and have a drink at the bar due to this, was offered a room opposite to sit in. Disappointed to be honest
Convenient
Expensive breakfast and laundry
Got a room quickly.
Was my wedding night and I left my key to be cleaned and when returned wasn't clean. Bed wasn't even made. No fresh towels, water and cups. Was very disappointed
The staff are all lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean.
Booked this for my daughter and her partner they are young adults and they said the staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for them. They also ate in the hotel and they said the food was amazing and very reasonably priced

Building had an interesting history, great location, great parking, extremely pleasant and helpful staff.
Room was ok but in need of a refurb, I’m guessing it was priced accordingly due to this. It was however, clean, tidy and purposeful.
Lovely hotel and great location
Very tired in areas and was unable to use the hotel bar on Saturday night, was told had to sit in a games room which resembled a children’s social club.
Very clean
Can’t fault any of the stay
Yes
Clean staff good
The staff here are the glue that is holding this place together. Always helpful - always superb
There was a water in leak through my room ceiling promptly dealt with by the staff then upgraded to another room. This place is falling to bits and needs some TLC
I liked the fact that the property still looks like an old house rather than an hotel. We stayed in a room out of the main building which was lovely. The room had everything we needed including a coffee machine and a four poster bed 🙂
Nothing
The location was perfect service excellent
It was an independent hotel , not a soulless chain . Good location , short walk to town centre & although on a busy road , it’s actually very quiet . Staff were fabulous , all very friendly and helpful , and the restaurant was excellent !
Couldn’t say I ‘ disliked ‘ anything , maybe the furniture in the bedroom could be updated ? But the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable !
Clean friendly and breakfast to die for
Nothing
Hi there, this is just a quick review of the awesome customer service that I received today from the Millfields Hotel. I called first, for booking availability and pricing and called later on to place a booking. I couldn’t be happier with the service that I received today. Tracy, who answered my call both times was extremely kind, helpful, friendly and informative. She made sure that the room booking was suitable for any additional needs too. So, knowing hospitality personally, gold crown customer service right there Tracy. Thank you for all your help and I’m certain that my family member will enjoy their stay
convenient for attending a funeral in grimsby breakfast was good
rooms and hotel seemed a little tired - not enough towels in the rooms for 2 people bathroom seemed a bit old and smell of stale water
Room was dated although very spacious and clean
The staff were very welcoming and helpful on out arrival Our room was nice and clean with plenty if room also with a spacious wet room bathroom with a good easy to use shower The mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, we slept really well We didn't have breakfast but what we saw looked really nice We highly recommend and we will be staying again

Great staff.. Elissa is a star!:
Where's the pool? Ha ha!
Well positioned for crematorium where we were attending a funeral. Rooms were comfortable. I was in a room designed for someone with a disability (not requested) and I really missed a bath.
There was nothing I really disliked and it was purely chosen for convenient location and parking.
Returning stay at this lovely hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean, with tea and coffee and tv. Very powerful shower. Food amazing with a new revamped menu which was delicious and bar prices very reasonable too. There are squash courts on site if you fancy being energetic. Lovely outside seating area where you can sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. Just set off a main road but no noise in the rooms at all. Ample car parking on site. Staff are amazing helpful, cheerful and welcoming. We will return - well done everyone you offer a brilliant service from front of house, cleaners, bar staff to the kitchen A ++++
Location, staff and breakfast were excellent.
We found the bed and pillows uncomfortable.
Plenty of parking, set back from the main road, couldn’t hear traffic. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and in the recent very hot weather, staff had put 2 portable aircon units in our room which worked very well and were quiet.
Nothing. It was all good
Staff were friendly, food was very good value for money, we had a fridge in our room which was very useful.
Was very warm overnight even using the provided fan.
Would have appreciated a grab rail in the bath/shower
The staff were lovely and helpful. Room was clean
I paid £205 for 2 nights I was very disappointed that this did not include breakfast like most places nowadays. Plus Breakfast was £15.00 then you had to pay for tea or coffee on top of that. The inside of the building needs a lot of TLC and modernisation.
Day/night staff were excellent. They are a credit to the hotel. Loved the bar/eating area.
Not enough seating outside. Bedroom: for future consideration, the bedrooms could do with an upgrade. Not all the plug sockets worked. The fan needed cleaning. The carpet either needs a good vaxing or replacing. It just lacked the polished finish one would expect. You may want to consider adding in a breakfast for that price especially when I've stayed in some lovely places for the same amount of money, but have had more for the value. Said that, I've stayed in a lot worse for more so, you are doing okay in comparison. Customers want to feel that their comfort is what matters so, add another biscuit, pillow, things like that. It makes all the difference and, please clean the fan! Its the little detains that give you the feed back you should deserve 👍
The staff were very helpful and polite, only stayed the one night but would definatly stay again. Highly recomended.
everything was excellent.
Millfields is a friendly quality hotel located very conveniently for both Grimsby and Cleethorpes. The room had been recently renovated and was impressive. We look forward to staying again in the future.
Nothing to dislike
Very beautiful, the room was very nice and spacious and tasteful. The staff were lovely, the restaurant was good and the foodbwas tastey
Nothing
I loved the clean and spacious bathroom, the bedroom was spacious too. The staff were all warm and friendly.
The building is quite old though maintained and upper floor is not accessible by elevator and no one to help with carrying heavy bags down or up the stairs.
The hotel and room were very good. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Air conditioning in the room would have been great as we stayed during the heatwave but otherwise we were very happy.
I recently spent 4 nights this hotel and I can say the stay was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the whole place was very clean, food was great. Many thanks.
Clean & ideally located for my needs
The lack of a fridge during a week of extreme heat would have been a welcome addition.

Best hospitality I’ve experienced in the UK! The staff couldn’t do enough, thorough explanation of all the facilities and the food served was delicious too!

Conveniently situated. Free parking
The reception area is not welcoming. First impression as you enter the hotel is disappointing. The carpet is shabby, the reception glass top is tacky and dusty, the reception area is untidy . The entrance table was dusty for all three days I stayed there. I even scribbled on the table and it was not dusted clean. Immediately my impression is that the manager is not in top of his game and doubted whether my stay would be enjoyable. The staff need to present themselves in a more professional way. We were left standing around and ignored whilst the receptionist was running around to sort out an issue but did not even acknowledge us and advise us that she will attend to us shortly.
Lovely historic old building and plenty of parking in a nice area.
Bar and breakfast room very nice with a beautiful old staircase but the remainder of the hotel is in need of an uplift. The floors/doors need painting and bedroom we were was adequate but the bathrooms definitely need retailing - it was very drab. The duvet cover was split, the veneer surround on the mirror was peeling off. The bedside lights were dusty. Rags and dusters were left on top of a cupboard in the corridor! Most uncarpeted floors need resending and staining. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast charge was pricey,£15 PP even though the menu priced items individually so I had yogurt and 1 toast and was charged £15! Paid More for our room than our friends but they received an upgrade! Squash courts indoors, gym and sauna and treatments available but not used so facilities are there just all a bit shabby.
A really lovely hotel, professional but friendly staff. Nice rooms clean and comfortable.
It's a lovely hotel, warm and welcoming
Only there for a night and can not complain about anything
The room was big and well furnished. The staff were all very professional and courteous
The decor in the corridors could do with freshening up. The noise from the room above was rather loud especially at 6.00am.
A family feel
Lovely old building with generous parking but no garden. Smokers area away from the front entrance (in the only patch of garden). Marie on reception was especially welcoming. The food served on site (evening meal) was delicious - fresh & home cooked. The sticky toffee pudding portion was huge - but light & yummy.
There was a distinct smell of the squash courts walking to rooms 22 & 26. Sadly, my bedroom, wall mounted bedside lights didn’t work & no maintenance person was available but they provided a (dusty) lamp from another room having tested to see if a bulb was at fault. Staff were apologetic & reacted immediately the issue was raised. I found my pillow to be rather hard.
Friendly efficient staff and service , nice location 👍

The food is excellant and we really enjoyed our breakfasts & dinners. Staff were lovely, very friendly & helpful booking us taxi's when we needed them. The room was a nice size with a comfy bed The location was good and if you are not driving there is a nearby bus stop to take you into the town centre & shops
Although the food was very good we were a bit surprised to see that breakfast items are charged individually except for cerial & fruit juice so it's easy to rack up quite a bit by the time you've had your cooked meal with tea or coffee and then added toast & marmalade - which we would normally do.
Convenient location
The bed was so uncomfortable and the breakfast service was slow . I had paid in advance for 2 nights but could not sleep there another night . Point blank refused a refund . Advice to others book 1 night at a time because if you don’t like it after staying there they will still keep your money . Scandalous
Did not use the restaurant for either breakfast or dinner, however the menu did look ok with a selection on offer. The room was spacious and met my needs for working as well as relaxing overall a pleasant stay for 2 nights.
Nothing stood out that I didn't like, overall it was a good stay
We have stayed here several times. Good comfortable room, easy on-site parking with ev chargers. Great position. Good bar - we have not eaten here, so can't comment on the food, but menu looks good.
Only downside was poor TV position and remote .
We did not have breakfast
It smelt the bed was like a quilt folded up the pillow was like a rock
It smelt the bed was like a quilt folded up the pillow was like a rock
Always stay here when we come on business. Rooms are clean but are very tired now. The whole place needs a good blitz through.
We had a few noisy neighbours during our stay. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and could hear everything in the next room.
Little open rooms ok not bad
Charged for leaving mess but it was still clean able. Charged me £50
Room was average but very clean, bed was very comfortable. Staff polite and helpful.
Room, particularly bathroom, was very dated however bed was comfy.
No food was ordered during the stay Bar atmosphere was good, area clean & tidy Parking options were ample during our stay Check-in / check out very quick & easy.
Could not fault the hotel during the stay
Beautiful old Building. All the Staff were so helpful and polite .Needs a little TLC in places but very clean .
The location was perfect, quiet street, parking, outside seating. Clean, quiet, beautifully decorated room, comfy bed, lovely bathroom, plenty of hot water, kettle, milk etc.
Really friendly staff
Staff are brilliant. Room size was excellent. Loads of drawer s torage space for clothes. Iron & ironing board provided, plus tower fan and hairdryer. Restaurant was lovely - the fish and chips we ate were superb. In fact, the best we have ever had.
The hotel is very 'tired' in places. Needs work doing to uplift it but appreciate that would increase room rates. Access to rooms via the squash courts could be made a little more appealing and maybe some air freshener applied after usage of the courts!
Beautiful, comfortable and well maintained. Appreciated the close proximity to the hospital.
it had a very spacious room. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent
Old charm
Beautiful building more disabled access food lovely, staff amazing
Not enough disabled access
They were good
I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years. Always great service and such lovely friendly staff. Would always recommend.
Location was good, easy to get into town. We didn’t have breakfast or dinner in the hotel. Bed was clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was cold we had trouble getting the radiator to heat up even when staff said it was on.
You always feel very welcomed when you stay here, they are polite and efficient but still really friendly too. The food is really good too.
I wish I could have stayed for breakfast, but had to leave way too early.
Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable and spacious. Good to have bar and restaurant on site.
Wifi signal in my room was quite weak. Restaurant menu a bit limited. Otherwise all fine.
Stuff were very friendly and very helpful. They would do anything to please you
Na
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, offering a very friendly service. I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, the menu has a nicely varied selection. The breakfast was equally good and served promptly. I liked that I had both a shower and bath in my room. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable.
I found my room a little chilly in the evening. The hospitality tray could have been more generous, just 2 sachets of tea and coffee and 1 packet of 2 biscuits. It was ok as I was on my own but had there been 2 in the double room it may not be enough.
Friendly staff and good evening menu. Hotel was quiet and bed comfortable.
Location and charm
Never stated online that the spa wasnt working and this was the main reason we booked
Nice room Good breakfast Friendly staff
Bar might have stayed open later.
Great staff
Room was spacious
