Beautiful location and view
Nothing
Beautiful views from balcony
They’re is a 2 hr seating schedule at the pool and you have to pay to use jacuzzis
I booked there for the top floor bar with scenic views. When I went to go to the bar it was closed for an event. It is listed as an amenity of the hotel but was not available. I also think I was overcharged double.
personnel à la réception très compétent
salle de bain étriquée
the swimingpool
all fantastic
The view of the room amazing & the pool
The entente to difficult to find the front to get taxis l have to pay double because the car driver dropped me off in another location
Got a room with a beautiful view
Some items like faucets looked old and not very taken care off
Nice staycation great views and restaurants.
Pool time limit for hotel guest. The cost of 3 hours for the pool after check out is way too high and needs to be reconfigured or lunch and non alcoholic drinks need to be added to justify high price.
Exceptionally consistent customer service Very comfortable Great amenities Wonderful neighborhood options
Wish they had informed me of some of the hotel guest benefits when I checked in. Room lighting is difficult to figure out. It would be nice if this was addressed during check-in and that they ensure front desk staff know how to answer questions correctly relating to this.
Friendly staff, prompt service. Bed very comfortable slept like a baby. Views from balcony towards ny city were amazing. Plenty of dining places in the area within walking distance.
Good location and nice rooms
It was packed for July 4 and couldn't access the poo
it’s new and love the le labo products. and the balcony!!
boring blinding white interior design
Lovely staff, beautiful hotel and clean room.
Nothing
I always enjoy staying at The William Vale. The staff is warm, friendly, and professional, the rooms are spacious by New York standards, and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The views are beautiful, and the rooftop is definitely a favorite. A great place to stay in Brooklyn!
The views are to die for.

The Vibe, the pool and upstairs bar
The building's disrepair, halls were smelly, elevator kept getting stuck and had to go up and down 2X to get to the pool. The Air conditioning in room would only cool to 74, they tried to fix 3X but did not have a room for me to switch to...they did buy my breakfast. I will not be back.
The views, bed, balcony, bathroom amenities, and super friendly staff.
I actually really liked the William Vale, loved the pool and the room was clean, the location was great overall a great experience until it wasn’t. There was a leak from the Air Conditioner which left a puddle on the floor which we found out when my husband slipped and fell in the middle of the night when he got up to use bathroom, when we told the front desk in the morning, his response was will send an engineer to the room. That’s great but we were checking out. But for or troubles he didn’t charge us our $33.00 room service.
The ambience and aesthetic was 10 out of 10 everybody that worked there was super nice accommodating helpful
There was nothing that I didn’t really like about this property definitely worth the money
Location and view
We truly appreciate the efforts of the staff; however, the room cleanliness was not entirely satisfactory. It might be helpful for the housekeeping team to receive further training to maintain a consistently high standard.
The location, room and views were amazing. I will defintiely be revisiting The William Vale.
There was not enough communication about the facilities. I did not know you had to book lounges and pay for the day beds, so a bit more understanding of that early on would have been good.
The front counter staff where the worst I’ve experienced and I travel Every week. I was unsure if they were medicated or what was happening but they were just not aware Of anything and terribly slow. Like badly.
Beautiful location
Lack of attention to detail. Not enough towels, only 1 robe and bathroom vanity was chipped and falling apart.
Such an amazing property. The Italian restaurant is perfection. Great views, attentive staff and roof top bar. A definite favorite hotel.
The location was great and the hotel kind of reminded me of a vacation resort. My friend even said it smelled like vacation lol. I loved the room. It was spacious compared to most. The balcony was a nice size with an amazing view. The shower was big and the bed was very comfortable.
My only complaint is that the tv wasn’t working and I called downstairs 3 times with no response. So I left it alone and ended up listening to my Bluetooth speaker instead.
This is not a 5-star hotel, by any stretch of the imagination. Yes, New York is expensive, but we paid $1,400 for a room where the motorized blinds were broken and we needed to use a hanger to close them, paint was chipping off of the coffee table, the sofa was stained, the shelf in the shower was falling off of the wall, the finish was chipping off the bathroom fixtures, metal on the refrigerator cabinet was broken off, towels were stained, the lights in the closet didn’t work, and the room was dirty, which was disgusting. And, if all that weren’t bad enough, the staff act like they really hate their jobs and treat guests with distain. I’m sure they’re sick of dealing with all of the obnoxious day pass people using the pool and those going to the DJ parties on the rooftop, both of which you would never have at a 5-star hotel, but please try to be pleasant to paying guests. Also, even if you’re a hotel guest you have to pay for a seat at the pool. If not, you’re offered a chair on the terrace on the opposite side of the building from the pool, which is, comically, completely shaded by the building. Overall our stay at this hotel was a very unpleasant experience, for which we paid a lot of money. Hotel management will not care about this review, but my hope in writing this is that someone else won’t get duped into thinking that they’re going to have a 5-star experience at this hotel. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
Not sure where to even begin. This room was booked for a bachelorette party, which the hotel was aware about. We had booked a suite with the balcony and planned on having our evening/getting ready together time in there. Upon arrival we requested a couple of things from the staff such as ice , utensils, cups etc. The only thing we got was ice and they told us we would have to contact somebody else for the other things after we were already on hold for 20 minutes with the hotel and redirected twice. Later that evening upon everyone’s arrival we received two noise complaints at around 5 PM from a guest next-door. After leaving for the evening to head to the hotel’s rooftop lounge, Westlight, we were continuously rushed in and out of the hotel/elevators, having my friends, and I practically running with our heels on. Later, on in the evening, we stop back in the hotel for a quick change where we were hit with another noise complaint from the same neighbor. After talking to management, they had apologized for her rudeness and continuous complaints. When we came back from our night out to head to sleep, we were essentially threatened by the management that if they were to get another noise complaint, the police would be called and we would have to evacuate. A staff member quite literally told us “ do not make a peep when you go up there”. Leaving a bad taste in our mouth. We left the following morning earlier than expected. As a Brooklyn native trying to stay close to home for a memorable experience, our time here left us with a bad taste in our mouth. As you may know this hotel is not on the lower end of the price range, therefore it was even more shocking experiencing this service. The best part of this hotel would definitely be the balcony in the event that you are purchasing a suite. I would rather take my company elsewhere.
Great location and room was amazing
Expensive, minimal staff and the amenities were mostly closed
Room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing view from the balcony. Hotel is in a great location too. Staff were a little odd in some respects but might just be differences in US-vs-UK interacting.

Sleek and elegant
Hopefully, the cleaning team be more mindful about the cleaning process during the peak season
Expire protein bar at the food bar in the room
No comp was offered after showing evidence of the expired protein bar besides a refund on the bar also the pool is like 2 feet deep the experience wasn’t that great
Quality control alert: I chose The William Vale because it is an upscale luxury hotel and expected the level of service and attention to detail that comes with that reputation. Unfortunately, I found an expired protein bar in the in-room snack area and had already eaten some before noticing the expiration date. I reported it to the front desk and turned over the item. The only follow-up I received was a refund for the bar. While I appreciate that, I was disappointed there was no further concern or communication about the larger quality control issue. Finding an expired item in a guest room made me question how often these items are checked and whether other outdated products could be overlooked. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a much higher standard of care and attention to guest safety.
The location is great and the room is very comfortable and has a great view
1. Guest gets only 2 hours at the pool during the stay which was kind of unpleasant surprise. I chose this hotel because of the amenities. 2. During our stay one of the elevators was broken and we didn’t got any solution or compensation 3. Every time we got back to the hotel the doorman isn’t very nice until you showed him that you are a guest of the hotel.
The staff is amazing!!!
Elevators sometimes are slow
Good location
Hotel guests had limited time (2 hours only) at the pool on sun loungers which is really disappointing. This is because The William Vale sells the sun loungers to outside guests - meaning hotel guests don’t get priority. To use the sauna is also an extra fee. Everything is an extra fee.
Location
Cold sink faucet did not work upon arrival and it never got fixed
Wonderful welcoming from Tammy at the front desk at arrival, she was super pleasant and on day two extremely helpful with answering questions about the area. housekeeping staff member Doma, does a great job and is very accommodating and kind! Last night we attended a business dinner at Lueca the food and service were fantastic! One Down fall no cushions on the chairs on our balcony. Cleanliness of the hotel over all is very good.
Amenities were good. It looks nice. Rooms are small but fine
Service and lack of being able to get into the buildng at 1am. Cannot get my deposit back after 3 months
Great location in Williamsburg close to dining and shopping. Great city views. Excellent onsite restaurant and bar. Comfortable room. Beautiful pool. Accommodating staff who helped me celebrate a milestone birthday.
Only one elevator working for guests. Some of the lights in my room did not work.
scent, cleanliness, quiet
1 elevator
The William Vale has excellent views. We loved having a patio. We had nice weather and used the pool, we had drinks by the pool and the staff was very nice. There was a big convention while we stayed and some of the restaurants were not open to dine in, we changed our plans and ate elsewhere. Also only one elevator was working and this caused some delays. I would still recommend someone to this property assuming the few flaws we ran into would be resolved.
For some reason the faucet in our room was extremely hard to use. I had to use a wash cloth to turn the water on. I did like that they had some shelving in bathroom , because there is very little counter space, hard to use when doing hair and makeup if you like to spread out. We did have cigarette buds on our balcony, they were there for 3 days and I think should have been swept up by house keeping.
Balcony was great, bathroom floors were great
Valet parking had me waiting... what? 30 minutes¡¡¡. yes the guy was so rude, i was late due to this to my apointment. reception: they sold my room, but they upgraded it so 11/10.. elevator guy, he thought that im just a random NPC going to the rooftop... wrong, made me look like i dont deserve my own room. Argentinean Bartender. (Can I get a Dirty Martiny?) .....NO. im not making anithing for you.... O.O¡ WTF.... is my money worth anything?.... Mexican bartender sees the attitude of the other guy, he inmediately offers me my drink, i gave him 30$ tip. Morning breakfast, girl at the restaurant downstairs.... barely asking if i need water or silverwear WTF¡¡¡¡. what kind of people do you hire to take care of your costumers? DO I NEED A SUIT AND TIE TO GET ANY SERVICE AT YOUR HOTEL? whats the problem with your personal.... i Is it because im brown?, terrible experience....
We visited the William Vale in May 2026 for our daughter's graduation. We were originally put in a room right next to the elevator and we didn't think we could sleep because of the noise. Christian, the house keeping manager, worked with us to move to a different, much quieter room, and it made our stay so much nicer. He really went above and beyond because it was late in the day. Can't wait for our next stay!
Room with an awesome view of the river and Manhatten
We stayed two nights at The William Vale and had a wonderful experience overall. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was that they accommodate cats, and they were absolutely amazing with our pets. Finding a luxury hotel that genuinely welcomes cats can be difficult, so this was a huge plus for us and made the stay even more enjoyable. First, the customer service was fantastic. Everyone was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We stayed in Suite 1620, which features a wraparound balcony with breathtaking views stretching across Manhattan all the way to the Brooklyn Bridge. The views alone make this room worth considering. The bathroom was another highlight. The large soaking tub and shower are positioned next to a window overlooking the city, creating a unique and relaxing experience, especially at night. The room itself showed some signs of wear and tear, which suggests it gets a lot of use, but it was still comfortable and enjoyable. A few tips for future guests: * Request a fan if you prefer extra airflow while sleeping. * Have the minibar fridge emptied if you plan to store your own drinks and want to avoid any accidental charges. * Be aware that the bell staff must assist with luggage carts. My only real criticism was the elevator situation. During our stay, only one guest elevator was available, while the others primarily served the rooftop bar. This resulted in long waits and crowded elevator rides, which became frustrating at times. That said, the concierge team was exceptional. They handled a UPS delivery for us flawlessly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Despite the elevator issues, the incredible views, outstanding service, and truly pet-friendly atmosphere made for a memorable stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone traveling with cats.
The location
Only one elevator was working, and then our bathroom a bunch of things were broken. Also beds were not comfortable
Not much
Old and poorly maintained. Elevators did not work properly and there were daily queues to get to your room! Cupboards broken and curtains did not close properly. Staff were indifferent
The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Very nice to have personable people on arrival and throughout the stay. The room we were given was great, we had a view toward the Brooklyn Bridge. The balcony was nice to have, but it was still a bit chilly when we visited so didn't have a chance to enjoy sitting out on it.
The carpet in the hallways was a bit old and made it difficult to roll luggage through.
Location. Ubers available and quick
Room is dirty , toilet took 3 flushes to get just paper down , elevator cables ran all night and were loud and kept me awake and also sounded like chairs were being scraped across a wood floor .. nm that I had an amazing package delivered right to the desk and no one could ever retrieve it for me. It’s so far from 5 star hotel. They need a lesson in what true European 5 star hotels are like.
Hotel is beautiful and clean. Service is either excellent or very average. Got looked down on at the rooftop restaurant. Was asked to prove I have a credit card, and when I told them I was a guest they acted all apologetic. I had excellent service from the waiter at Leuga during lunch on May 4th. Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. I’m sorry I didn’t take his name :( I was in a suite with wraparound balcony. The views were very beautiful but the room was a bit run down. Bathroom door handle was broken. The biggest red flag to me is that they took a 1280$ CAD deposit on check in, then confirmed it was going to get released / refunded… Which it still hasn’t. They sent me a bill where I see it in the credit line, but there is no credit transaction. They keep arguing it’s on the bank side. But bear with me, they processed a 25$ refund a couple of days later and that showed within 2 days. It’s now been 15 days and I’ve yet to see my 1280$ charge reflected as a credit. I wrote to them and they maintain it will show up. Well, my credit card says I’m allowed to do a charge back in a couple of days so I guess if they wanna do it the hard way, I will proceed with that. Would be so much more simple to not keep the guests deposit hold for so long…
All rooms have balconies. Ours overlooked the East River…beautiful. Our room was small. No fridge to use except already stocked. The balcony made up for. Very safe area I felt comfortable walking around by myself. (I’m a 71yo female)The valet parked my car, and it never moved until we left. Everything you need is walking distance. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
A fridge for personal drinks, etc would be nice. Or at least have it available.
Everything, it was perfect in every way!
Nothing!
The views are absolutely amazing.
The hotel is a bit dated, the shower does not close properly, the dresser is old, the whole thing is in need of some fresh up. Especially at that price point.
Nice hotel. Nice rooms.
Toilet is basically in the same room as the bedroom. WiFi was very poor - kept dropping out. Very overpriced. Booked a twin suite ($700 per night), arrived to find a double. Went downstairs & receptionist said i had to make a sofa bed, to which I replied “$700 a night, we don’t get 2 proper beds and I have to make the sofa bed”. She replied “I don’t set the prices”. Also, the elevators need earthed. Everyone was getting static shocks from the buttons
The location Cleaning staff Restaurant and Westlight staff
Room was small Checkout wasn't as expected No helpful with luggage at all for checkout and with the car. Front desk representative just vanished
I loved the location, the views, the staff, and the restaurant.
There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like.
Location, balcony, rooftop bar
No tub in suite even tho Booking said so, no real lobby for working, reading, coffee
Nice & clean! Great location
Beautiful Hotel and location
Advertised as having rooftop bar , went up there last night for one drink and told no… private party!! We are paying guests of the hotel!
Nice property. Restaurants on site. Balcony with good views.
Winter spa was kind of disappointing. Everything was fine but nothing stood out as overly great. Not close to the subway.
The view was nice, hotel smell is great.
The curtains did not work with push button, the led light in the bathroom hung on the floor. The light fixtures near the bed did not work.
Comfortable, clean
Was there for a short stay but great location. Not far from restaurants and bars. Next to great clothing stores and not far from the parents 😊. 10/10
Our experience at The William Vale could not have been any better. We were offered an early check in as our room was available and they were so helpful and accommodating when the weather wreaked havoc with our plans. Our room was superb with a great bed and nicely appointed bathroom. We used the workout room daily and enjoyed a session in the sauna and hot tub. The coat concierge was invaluable! We will definitely be back.
Everything was awesome 👌 👏.
Some of the items that i got were a little pricey. But no big deal, everything was great.
