It was the strangest hotel where I have stayed for my whole life 🤣 Without lockdown in doors,any elevator and a mazed shaped corridors, like a theatre scene in 18 countries

We loved the location of the hotel and the dining hall in Goodenough College for breakfast.

We were unhappy that the smart tv didn't work, and the staff provided no solution when we mentioned it. The double bed was very small. The room was too hot and without A/C, we couldn't cool it down. There were old and more recent stains on the carpet which didn't look good. The light in the bathroom was faulty and was flickering. We reported it on Sunday, but were told that it wouldn't be repaired until Monday, after our departure.

Goede locatie, dichtbij het St Pancras station. Ruime, mooie en propere kamer. Leuk dat er koekjes liggen, kwaliteitskoffie en thee. Heel vriendelijke man die ons geholpen heeft bij check-in, bagage storage. Leuk dat het ontbijt in een prachtige setting is in de stijl van de Great Hall van Harry Potter is.

Veel nachtlawaai op vrijdagavond, zeker als je aan straatkant slaapt.

This is a very comfortable property with excellent service. We were able to check in early even with high occupancy during our visit, the staff is very helpful and the breakfast options are nice.

No complaints! Please note, however, that while nice large fans are provided in the rooms, with the more common heat waves there is not air conditioning. It was very pleasant for our stay but could have been different depending on the weather.

This is a very nice hotel in the center of London. My room was on the 3rd floor, and I had a very nice view of the gardens across the street. The room was small but comfortable and well equipped. The staff was very nice and helpful.

There are no elevators, so I had to climb 3 floors every time. I am sure it is good for my health, but it is less convenient, especially after a late arrival and a long day. I had the continental breakfast. No complaints, but no enthusiasm either.

La douche était froide, il fallait laisser couler très très longtemps pour avoir de l'eau chaude. Faute de maintenance le week-end il nous a été proposé une chambre complémentaire pour prendre la douche...

Location was incredibly peaceful despite its central London location. The breakfast in the Great Hall was excellent. The bed was so comfy and everything was really clean.

As a solo traveller - I would have appreciated a chain on the door for piece of mind.

Good central location south of Kings Cross. About 12 minute walk. Room wasn’t big but large comfortable bed. Good shower. Met my needs for overnight business stay.

Only a 10 minute walk to King’s Cross station, small room but all the facilities you needed. The staff were great, upon check in / check out early morning / as well as when I went to collect my bags.

The room was incredibly warm despite having a floor fan.

Very clean and tidy, close to King’s Cross and staff were very helpful. You can leave luggage safely with them before and after checking in and out of the room. We left our luggage in storage before we were able to check in and by time we could check in, the staff took our luggage to the room for us. Upon leaving, we left our luggage again so we didn’t have to drag it round all day and the staff couldn’t help us any more if they tried. They were so lovely and welcoming

I was not expecting much, but I really loved the hotel, my room had a view on parks and trees, it was lovely. The staff is very nice, and the location is very central and practical.

The room was brilliant. Great location, roomy, comfortable with lovely incidentals. The shower was great, the bed was so comfortable. The room even had a great view.

I really liked this hotel. Unique location in a wonderful early 19th century building. The room was immaculate. I stayed in a single room and it was spacious and well laid out. Great location in Bloomsbury central London, short walk from Russell square tube station and you're very close to kings cross station and st pancras. Also all the hotel profits go to a good cause. Breakfast in the college dining room is great, it's like it should be in a Harry Potter film.

It doesn't have a lounge/bar area, which would be lovely, especially in a characterful building like that.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location with access to the college library and dining hall - so charming! Rooms are a decent size for London and wifi in the main building is strong for zoom calls. Juan & Mar were terrific at helping me with bags and getting a comfortable and quiet room. Looking forward to returning

Prettige royale kamer op de begane grond. Hotel bestond uit verschillende karakteristieke gebouwen aan een plein met veel groen. Het Goodenough college hoorde bij het Hotel. Ontbijt was in de grote eetzaal van het mooie schoolgebouw. Weer eens wat anders.

De dichtstbijzijnde ov-halte was ca 10 min lopen. Goed te doen, maar niet naast de deur.

The Goodenough hotel is under major renovations. When we arrived, staff offered us a room in the middle of a part that was under construction. Carpet rolls, industrial equipment etc where everywhere in hallways. The place was dusty++. We could not stay there as it felt unsafe and certainly not meeting fire code. With a bit of negotiations, they offered us another room that was clean and spacious.

Pas de clim. Lit minuscule (largeur 1m20 !!) alors que nous avions réservé une chambre lit double ou lits jumeaux.

Eher hochpreisig; leider kein Fahrstuhl im alten Gebäude - nach Auskunft des Personals kann leider auch keiner eingebaut werden wg Denkmalschutz ; bis unter das Dach war es eine anstrengende Schlepperei auf immer engeren Treppen aber alles in allem super

Ein komfortables, durchdachtes kleines Zimmer, das trotz der Hitze draußen angenehm war. Die neuen Zimmer im Basement im hinteren Bereich sind sehr ruhig. Vielen Dank dass wir so früh einchecken konnten.

Beautiful small hotel in central location surrounded by a quiet neighbourhood and a beautiful private park. Staff service is outstanding, breakfast was good in a next door building with a lot of character. We will be back for winter.

It was small but cozy and very clean, front desk service was excellent 👌 location is a plus. Breakfast at the hall was quite nice.

Lovely 2-night stay at the Goodenough hotel. We stayed in a beautiful suite with our two teens, and there was plenty of room and comfort for us all. I would highly recommend and happily stay again! The staff was friendly and helpful, taking our bags when we arrived early and headed out for the day, and bringing extra sheets late at night for the second (single) fold out we found as a pleasant alternative to a couch for our second teen not on the pull out sofa bed. The location was quiet and convenient. Easy 10-15 min walks to major train stations, a few blocks from great restaurants and cafes on Lamb’s Conduit Street, easy walk to multiple museums and attractions. Loves being out of the super touristy area but still easy to access with amenities. I’ll add that it was August and a heat wave. Huge windows that opened and top and bottom plus quite fans cooled the rooms down quickly at night for easy comfort.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Goodenough Hotel The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space. The service at reception was outstanding, with a special mention to Mar, who was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The beautiful garden was a lovely bonus, and the location is truly unbeatable perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommended⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good choice for families if you are looking for a quiet place. We receive great service from the reception staff, the rooms was clean and we enjoyed the private garden right in front.

We had a great stay in a room for 2 people with 2 single beds even though the rooms is small we had enough space, the room was clean and tidy located at the back of the hotel. Service was quick and efficient huge thanks to Vlad and Juan that helped us with our heavy luggage. There is no ac but the hotel provides fans.

La douche ne marchait pas dans la chambre que nous devions avoir donc nous avons été mis dans une chambre de secours beaucoup moins cosy et dans un endroit avec beaucoup de passages. Le canapé lit n’était pas très confortable.

Gutes Frühstück in der Great Hall - besser als das Frühstück im Hotel, Sehr ruhige Lage aber dennoch sehr zentral, vor allem für Anbindungen an King's Cross/ St. Pancras. Historisch bedeutende Umgebung.

As the review website of the hotel didn't work for uploading the review to TripAdvisor, I'll just upload it myself. Pro: - nice location - clean room - overall nice value Cons: - construction site next to our room, loud and noisy early in the morning - no air conditioning only ventilator and sleeping with open windows - very steep and small staircase to the top floor which is potentially dangerous for falling down the stairs (with or without luggage), but being careful worked for us - we didn't get the room option we booked and which the receptionist often emphasized during our check in: we booked two single beds instead of a double bed. The room we got would have been too small for two singles and there weren't any other rooms left, so we had to manage.

The staff in the reception was amazing. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe and welcome, and they were open for a chat here and there. Breakfast in the Great Hall at the Godenough College was nice.

Room was immaculately clean and a decent size for a single.

No lifts so had 62 stairs to climb to my room.

Really well-run establishment. Great staff, beautiful building, fab location for exploring London. You have access to the private square across the street and dining in the beautiful hall at Goodenough College.

Pricey, but so is everything in London :(

We enjoyed our stay at the goodenough hotel, the rooms for us was a good size, clean and in good conditon, service was excellent and the location worked welll foe us.

Good to return here after a few years. Beautifully decorated room overlooking a peaceful square with guest access both to the gardens and the restaurant over at The College. Just a shame there is no AC for hot summer months.

To small of a bed, no a/c and fans provided were poor my travel fan was better so that was on all night

Beautiful decor, great staff great location. Lovely teas of quality on offer

was on the ground floor which i have a phobia about. The top floor rooms was in the attic and far too hot hot with insufficient fans to help. The room had some dated and scuffed pieces in the room and the fan was not strong enough. At £223. A night without breakfast i class this as premium and it wasn’t quite.

Good accommodation and customer service, well located if you are visiting the city centre.

The accommodation is really nice! Perfect location, comfortable room and facilities, very kind and helpful staff. There is nothing more to improve that could have made my journey better. I had a wonderful stay :)

Clean and well located little hotel in a quiet area, there is no AC or lift but fan and help from the reception is offered both at check in and check out. Really good service.

The Goodenough provides excellent comfortable accommodation in a quiet square in Bloomsbury - handy for King's Cross Station, British Museum and West End (all walkable). Breakfast is provided in the College Refectory which is unique. I have stayed here many times, would always recommend it and will stay again.

I booked this hotel because is close to Kingscross is a very well located place with good size rooms and a wonderful reception service. The garden right across is a plus.

Es ist gut geeignet für Gäste mit einer guten Kondition, es gibt sehr viele Treppen und kein Aufzug, man gewöhnt sich aber sehr schnell dran!

Booked this to celebrate a special birthday, and it was an excellent decision! Staff at reception and breakfast were very helpful. We stayed in the Dorothy L Sayers Suite, which was large and airy, with fans provided to help keep the rooms cool during the hot weather. Bed was super comfy, with plenty of pillows. We were out all day, so coming back to the beautifully freshened suite each evening was pure bliss - a thank you to the housekeeping staff please! Beautiful, quiet location, overlooking the private park that guests can access using a key from reception. The 10 minute walk to Russell Square tube was easy and the route followed the parks so was very pleasant. The station was not that busy, even when travelling during peak times. The 20 minute walk to Euston or Kings Cross/St Pancras was also very easy, but obviously quite busy. Overall, a perfect choice for our stay - thank you so much!

Pour le prix de la chambre (350€) et pour un hôtel 4 étoiles c’est assez catastrophique ! Pas d’ascenseur et une chaleur atroce dans les chambres surtout avec un bébé. Le lit bébé a un matelas trop petit ce qui rend le couchage dangereux. L’établissement vous prête un ventilateur qui ne ventile rien du tout. Et quand vous leur faite la remarque le lendemain matin ils vous disent « je sais qu’il fait chaud »

I absolutely loved this place. The location is fantastic, the staff are incredibly friendly and professional, and the breakfast was simply amazing. I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to anyone. Thank you for the excellent hospitality!

The only issue I experienced was with the room. I'm not sure if all the rooms are the same, but I found it quite small for two people, and there was no air conditioning. Other than that, everything else was great, and I had a pleasant stay.

Although the website stated that there is no AC, it was much worse than expected, because the sun heats up the roof and all singles seem to be in the attics. It is not a matter of air temperature, but of sun on (metal?) roof. No amount of opening the window and running the fan made a difference, although the nights were cool outside. Without the fan though, sleep would have been impossible. The bed was very comfortable. Everything eas kept very clean, although the carpet had a few spots. Don't pay breakfast in advance, they don't refund if you discover that you have to get out before serving time one morning. The great hall with Harry Potter feeling was fun to be in. The room had a mini fridge and a safe, an iron and ironing board, coffee and tea maker. TV was broken. The cold tap water was too warm, needed to flush for a long time to reduce the risk of a health hazard. The washbasin was leaking, which I discovered late and room maintenance never noticed. The area is quiet and the garden side has almost no traffic. I didn't try the private garden, but seemed to be a nice option to sit there for a relaxing evening. Overall a charming place, but not in summer, and a bit expensive.

We stayed at the Goodenough hotel the night before and night of our wedding, and I got ready here for our wedding. It was just perfect! The hotel itself is in a peaceful area surrounded by greener, so there is no noise at all at night even though busy restaurants, bars etc are a 10 minute walk away. It's an oasis of calm in the heart of North London. Our room had huge windows which let in lots of natural light (which was great for my makeup artist!), and the bed was super comfy. The room was spacious and everything was clean and beautiful. We had checked in the night before and I mentioned I was getting ready here for our wedding so requested some extra chairs in the room. When I arrived at the hotel I discovered the staff had left us some gorgeous gifts to celebrate our wedding, with a handwritten note. It just made our whole stay extra special! Everyone we spoke to at the hotel during our stay was helpful and lovely. Thank you all so much for giving us the best experience.

Quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and parks. Close to shopping and places of interest. The staff was very kind to up grade me.

The fourth floor was too hot in the heat. They upgraded me to a ground level room the next night.

No air conditioning and rude staff. I booked a room with window, on arrival almost as midnight I was given room at basement level with no windows just sliding patio doors. When asked if the room can be changed to one with a window that I can safely leave open in the 35C heat, I was told that I should cancel my booking and go find another hotel. This was midnight, and I’m single, female traveller… after insisting that they find another available room with a window I was finally given a room on the top floor that was hotter than the previous room but at least had a window although without sheer curtains for privacy.
