Reviewed Aug 20, 2026The breakfast was exceptionally good. It was beautifully presented with generous quantities all really well cooked. The proprietor gave a very friendly welcome, and everything was very efficiently organised. I particularly liked the way you order breakfast in advance, the night before and the very simple system for doing this. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Parking was easy. There is a Co-op supermarket almost opposite the hotel. If you are visiting the Telford area I strongly recommend this guest house.
There was nothing that I didn't like. This location completely met and exceeded my expectations. A great place to stay.

Premises need refurbishing Uncomfortable beds Surfaces were sticky and the building had a musty smell. Do not stay downstairs. Can hear every single movement people upstairs are making so never got settled. Would be more pleasant if you stay upstairs Stayed at a lot of B&Bs but the reception was a bit frosty here

I like the place, although the area for eating could do with an open window or door to get more air in. It was rather hot in warmer weather, I felt too hot and rushed eating my breakfast. Still it was bearable just for breakfast.

The interiors are slightly dated / have an older feel - but it’s actually quite charming if you’re into it!

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Lovely home from home type of feel. Breakfast was amazing lots of variety and proprietors were lovely. Lesley went above and beyond for my partners birthday. She had decorated the room with balloons and banners for when we arrived.
It wasn’t a dislike as such but only as im fussy, for me the bed was a little hard and the pillows were too soft but thats down to Personal preference. We extended our stay for an extra night so i can’t say I disliked anything

Room was spacious, clean and felt homely, would highly recommend. Activities including 2 zoos, parks, eating complex, 2 cinemas all within a 10 minute drive, plenty of multi storey parking available.
This is by no means a negative comment but just be aware you will be given 2 sets of keys and a fob to open the gate to park your car to the rear of the property. 1 key for your room, a key for the back door, and a code for another gate leading to the parking area.

Everything was perfect. If I had to give any feedback it would be that the decor could be updated and the bed could be comfier. But honestly that’s just if I’m being picky.

Reviewed May 13, 2026Stayed at Grove House whilst attending a conference at Telford International Centre - not as convenient as staying onsite (but I'd left it too late to book that affordably), but a 7 minute drive isn't much of a hardship! Room size fantastic for 2 sharing, staff were incredibly friendly/helpful, and breakfast - YUM!
Literally only 2 things, both personal - could have done with a larger bath towel, those supplied were perfect for my size 10 colleague, but meant I couldn't waltz around in mine (and at size 16 I'm not exactly a heffer!). And I could have done with a slightly plumper pillow as I have neck issues (yes, I probably should've brought my own, good point, well made!).

The lady could be having a mild to miderate hearing impairement. Should as the GP to refer to the lical audiology team.

Breakfast was a very generous full English and continental options also. There was a slight noise from a ?washing machine within a short distance of my room which initially made it difficult to fall asleep but other than that I couldn’t fault my stay here and would definitely stay here again!
