Limpeza do quarto e das instalações do edifício Tudo muito sujo Qualidade e aspecto dos colchões Qualidade e limpeza das roupas de cama, ambas com manchas e furos Água do chuveiro muito fraca e sistema de temporizador que dificulta ainda mais o banho Atendeu nossa necessidade, porque tivemos um problema enorme com outra hospedagem e foi preciso reservar esta com urgência. Então para passar duas noites, que foi o caso, supriu. Mas não recomendo para passar muitos dias.

They have a very bad Customer Service Team and the Cleaners don’t clean the toilets and they don’t do jobs as they should do. Resulting in a very dirty, flooded and smelly toilet.

Its a hostel with no bike storage for bikepackers. Do not stay here if you are biking. I stayed at 10 hostels on my trip and this is the only one who has no answer for those with a bike and not interested in trying to figure it out. Kinda dumb since london is a big biking city...most hostels cater to bikers with dedicated secure inside racks, not this one.

Affordability and convenient location

First night i was in a room which had a filthy toilet and bathroom...urine on the floor in toilet. Stayed with messy people. Second night was moved to a better room with neat and tidy people...pleasant experience

Location is good for transport but not much to do in immediate area. Staff was helpful with luggage but I found them rude at times.

Absolutely disgustingly filthy. The floors didn't look like they had ever been cleaned before. Anytime I dropped anything on the floor I debated just buying a new clean thing that had not touched that floor. Bathrooms were pretty bad too and often out of soap and/or toilet paper.

The cleanliness is something I really like, all the washrooms are really well maintained.

It’s the kind of crowd that they’re taking in without any background checks and it’s something that makes the hostel very uncomfortable. Please don’t take junkies as your guests as it can make other guests very uncomfortable.

We loved where it was located there were good options for food, activities, shopping and transport. And even if you don’t want to go out for any of those things they have so much at the actual property you don’t have to go far if you’re tired from travel. It was also very clean which is so important to me when I travel.

I’m from another country so there are probably some differences on the way things are done but I was pretty thrown off when we were taking a nap after our super long flight and people came in to clean while we were sleeping not once but 3 times! We booked a private room so I didn’t think that would happen. Also you had to rent towels and not just shower towels but even hand towels when I washed my hands there was nothing to use so I just used one of my few shirts I packed. Also one of the fans in our room was broken and honestly we really needed it it was so hot the days we were there. Also there is no elevator which sucked with my giant checked bag I brought but I’m able body so I made it work.

Vi hade ett rum med 6 sovplatser (3 våningssängar). Rummet var smutsigt, det var matrester på sängkanterna, väggarna och dörrar vad fylla med fläckar och toaletterna luktade urin. Renlighet ska vara ett måste för att hyra ut rum på ett hotell. Duschhuvudet var svag och sprutade vatten och olika håll, vilket gjorde golvet blött. Fanns ing t och ta bort vattnet med, varken en skrapa eller duschduk för fötterna. Våra strumpor blev svarta av golvet som var smutsigt. Det fanns inga handdukar för övrigt, man behövde betala 5€ per handduk och deponera 10€ ifall dem inte fick den tillbaka. Vid utcheckning fick man även betala för att lägga sina väskor i deras luggage room.

No lift, and they have up to 4 floors. No drinkng water close to the rooms, you would have to go all the way to the reception on the lower ground floor, to get water, supposing you was on the 2nd floor, thats 3 floors down. No kitchen facility at all, not even a microwave, you will eat cold food, eat junk, or eat out 24/7, it is very stressful to stay there. Had to share rooms with adults that exhibited very problematic behaviour. Good if you want to do a lot of running up and down, but if you want to relax, rest and enjoy a good holiday or take a break, here is capital NO.

While the beds were decently comfortable, the lack of curtains really brings the score down, the beds even have the bars where curtains would go, but they sadly don't have them, and the room also didn't smell very good.

The room was big enough. The whole place in general needs to be more cleaner and fresher than it is currently. The location is excellent - it is easily accessible and close to the city centre.

The staff wasn't welcoming. Their fail short of a smile and paid less attention to customers as they spoke to you. They were slow to help and less conscious of what's happening around.

Ottimo ostello, rapporto qualità/prezzo ottima, a 10 minuti a piedi dalla metro Elephant and Castle. Sicurezza notturna efficace. Io e le mie amiche abbiamo prenotato una camera quadrupla con bagno privato, abbiamo avuto un problema con la doccia dove l'acqua usciva troppo bollente e lo staff ci ha spostato in un altra camera con le stesse modalità di prenotazione. Abbiamo trovato i letti molto comodi, lenzuola pulite e con pagamento di 5£ asciugamani, sempre puliti. È la seconda volta che soggiorno qui e credo che ci riandrò ogni volta che verrò a Londra.

Ho prenotato in camera mista da 8, I letti non avevano né un appoggio né una tendina. Clientela discutibile, va bene che il prezzo è contenuto, ma tornare la sera e ritrovarsi nel proprio letto quello che sembrava essere un barbone sporco e ubriaco non è stato il massimo. Non so se era riuscito ad entrare per I pochi controlli o se avesse pagato e sbagliato solo il letto viste le condizioni in cui si trovava, un altro individuo della camera che inizia ad inveire su di noi perché gli stavamo disturbando il sonno sinceramente non ci siamo sentite neanche più sicure, per fortuna era l'ultima notte. Mi sono sempre adattata, ma sinceramente lì non ci tornerei.

I have traveled extensively and stayed in accommodations all over the world, but Safestay London Elephant & Castle is hands-down the worst hotel experience of my entire life. Do not let the pictures on booking platforms fool you. This place is an absolute nightmare from top to bottom. Here is the truth about what you are actually paying for: 1. Completely Deceptive Listing & Misrepresentation There is zero transparency about what this property actually is. It is advertised on Booking.com as a 3-star hotel, but you only discover the truth upon arrival: it is a rundown, poorly maintained student hostel. It does not even meet the basic standards of a 1-star hotel. Calling this a 3-star property is outright false advertising. 2. Dangerous Room Conditions & Bed Collapse The first room I was assigned looked absolutely nothing like the advertised photos on Booking.com. It was pure deception. Worse, it was downright dangerous. The second I laid down on the double bed, the entire bed shattered and the iron support rods collapsed beneath me. I am a single person lying on a bed meant for two—imagine if two adults had laid down on it! I could have been severely injured. 3. A Nightmarish "Upgrade" & Terrible Infrastructure When I went to reception to report the collapsed bed, they moved me to a different room on the top floor, claiming it was an "upgrade" to a family room. It was another disaster: - Severe Dust & Lack of Cleanliness: The entire room was caked in dust. - Flooding Bathroom: The shower has no barrier or containment system whatsoever. Every time you shower, water floods directly out into the main living space. I had to spend my time manually mopping the floor with bath towels. - Sweltering Heat & Noisy Fan: There is no air conditioning. The room was like an oven, forcing me to keep the windows wide open because the provided fan made such a deafening, rattling noise that it was impossible to use.

The price is extremely good for London, and you are relatively close to the tube, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, those are the good point s. Unfortunately I left after two nights out of an expected 6. There are a lot of people who are working and treating the Hostal as a home staying here, there is currently a housing crisis in Britain, and I'm completely sympathetic to those who struggle, however it gives the place an odd vibe. Four people in my room (at least) were living there. One came in at 4am every morning, and clattered around for an hour, showering and sorting out his many electronic devices. There was, I suspect, drug use and other odd behaviour in the room. So I didn't sleep well. The breakfast was expensive and not brilliant quality, and it eventually all got a bit too sketchy for me, so I checked out early and had a much better time, and a better night's sleep, elsewhere.

The dormitory was quite hot, and so there were a lot of body odours. I was in a room with two of the loudest snorers I've ever encountered (admittedly not the venue's fault!). Half of the shower facilities were out of order, and the one I ended up using was unclean. The breakfast (advertised as "very good" breakfast) was disappointing – a few pastries, toast, and the most disgusting looking sausages I've ever seen. The layout of the building is labyrinthine with insufficient signage. There's a £5 extra charge to hire a towel.

Pour être honnête je n’ai rien aimé, le personnel d’accueil n’est pas sympathique et l’hôtel manque de propreté.

L’établissement n’est pas propre et il y avait des odeurs dans notre chambre. J’avais fait une réservation de 2 nuits mais j’ai dû quitter l’hôtel après une seule nuit parce que je n’arrivais à supporter les odeurs et l’état des chambres.

After moving here from another hostel, the staff were very accommodating and helpful, storing our bags until check in time. The room was clean and spacious with a window and fan for airflow. The toilet and shower in our room was also tidy as were the communal bathrooms on our floor. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay in London with great access to bus routes that took us all over the city. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Nous avons séjourné au Safestay London en famille et, malheureusement, notre expérience n’a pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes. L’état des chambres/dortoirs est très vétuste et certains plafonds présentent des traces de fuites d’eau qui semblent ne pas avoir été réparées. Le ménage n’est également pas effectué suffisamment régulièrement, ce qui donne une impression générale de manque d’entretien. Nous avons également été gênés par l’ambiance dans les espaces communs, notamment au bar, où la présence de nombreuses personnes semblant vivre sur place et consommant régulièrement de l’alcool rend l’endroit peu agréable et peu adapté à une famille. Au regard des tarifs pratiqués, le rapport qualité-prix nous paraît clairement insuffisant. Notre sentiment est que cet établissement est davantage adapté à des voyageurs seuls ou à une clientèle recherchant un hébergement très économique, plutôt qu’à une famille souhaitant bénéficier d’un environnement propre, calme et confortable.

The room was clean, practical and well suited as a base for exploring London. Our bins were emptied every day, which was appreciated. The location was convenient and the property has plenty of character.

Unfortunately, there were a few things that could be improved. There were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, despite these being advertised, which was disappointing. The room was also very, very hot and stuffy, making it uncomfortable at times. There are also lots of stairs, which is worth being aware of if you have heavy luggage or mobility difficulties. Luggage storage is a locker system-first come first served but requires a £2 coin, the hotel is cashless!

The toilets downstairs for 2 days were blocked with poo . The bedroom itself was not cleaned properly , false nails and public hair in the bathroom . Night time we couldn't sleep properly as had the constant smell of weed wafting through the window . Breakfast was £9 PP and it was the worst I've seen . Toast . 2 cereals . A few chicken sausages in a bowl ( which were vile by the way and were like mush inside ) a few slices of cheese and ham , apples and croissants . It was terrible to be honest I don't think it was worth the price we paid . We have stayed in much better places

In my room, the shower and toilet were separate, which was very convenient. * The shared bathrooms(the corridor ones)also offer good privacy, with one person using each shower or toilet at a time.

* The room was extremely hot. I understand the hostel cannot control the weather, but as it was already the fifth heatwave in the UK, I expected better preparation, such as having more fans available. There was only one small fan for a room with eight people. I asked for another one, but was told there were no more available. Even after the temperature in London dropped by more than 10°C, the room was still very hot. Everyone in my room experienced the same problem, and we were waking up every two or three hours sweating and struggling to sleep. * The corridors were also very hot, and the bathroom in the room had no ventilation, which made also really hot. * There is no elevator, so you have to use the stairs. * The area is not the nicest in London, although considering the price, this is understandable. * Some people experiencing homelessness regularly stayed in the hostel’s outdoor/common areas, and I also saw the same people sleeping on chairs in the reception area. They did not bother anyone, but it was still uncomfortable. The lobby bathroom was consequently often extremely dirty and, at times, practically unusable. * Breakfast could have more variety. Since it costs £9, I think it would be nice to have different options from one day to another rather than the same selection every day.
