Almo Court Motel

The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. We also appreciated the two chairs, which were also very comfortable.

The bathroom was a bit tight and the sink has no counter space. There were only two keurig pods in the room, so I guess one cup of coffee each was all one gets. There was a lot of road noise, however it calmed down as the night went on. But otherwise, the room was great.

Bathtub doesn't have adequate nonslip mat or safety rails. I fell and hurt myself and did damage the tap. The manager was more concerned about the damage than my injuries. Also cleaning staff apparently didn't clean the tub or they'd have seen it before renting the room to someone else.

The room was basic but clean. It would be nice to see a picture over the bed, or anywhere for that matter, so the room wouldn't seem so sterile.

The woman at the front desk for check in was miserable. Not welcoming at all.

Office lady was hard to understand with thick accent and seemed a bit gruff while checking me in. Small parking lot in front. Everything else was fine.

Breakfast was not included. It was a noisy location right off the highway. Staff was friendly and everything was clean.

The bed was not very comfortable. The bathroom was very inconvenient as there was no way to plug in the hair dryer or curling iron/straightener. We bought an extension cord and ran it from the kitchenette to do hair. The toilet was very low which was difficult for someone with mobility challenges. The fridge froze some of our produce .

The room was clean, and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked well.

They supply the MINIMUM. No Kleenex in the room, one tiny soap, and cheap shampoo. The only mirror is above the bathroom sink. One main problem is the lack of staff availability. There is seldom anyone in the office, and when I tried to contact them to add one night to my stay, it took three calls (after trying the empty office). Then I was told that I could have the extra night, but they were too busy and to deal with it. I was told to come later and pay for the extra day. When I went to pay, they had given the room to someone else.

The room was on the smaller side but well decorated and clean. The floors were shiny and the bathroom super clean. The balcony was a much enjoyed feature.

It was quiet for street noise however there were very inconsiderate guests who were loud and obnoxious talking outside their rooms for hours.

The maid service is only available early in the morning, if you miss it, no service is done.

I liked that, though dated it was very clean. Tv had red stripe from top to bottom when on but fine for watching.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. We were able to walk to Elizabeth Lake to stetch our legs after a long day travelling to Cranbrook.

The Almo is an older style motel. The rooms have been nicely upgraded. Check-in was easy. The motel was close to downtown, which made it easy to find a great bar/restaurant.

The rooms are smaller in size. There is some road noise due to the motel’s location on the main road. When a neighbouring room took a shower I could hear the water flow sound.

The room (suite) was larger than expected. Had kitchenette along with table to eat in at (which was handy). Originally booked the room due to being just down the street from the railroad museum and handy to the main road to be able to get out and about to other attractions and sites.

Like most hotels, bed and pillows could've been more comfortable. But overall, the room was clean. Could've used some seating in the room with the tv, but not a deal breaker.

The staff is very welcoming. The room had a nice balcony. Although beside a busy road it was surprisingly quiet.

Again, I was given access to the room when I arrived. The fridge had a freezer for my freezer packs. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Hard mattress, see through blinds, x3 pillows (was looking for a fourth one), close to hyw and train track, tight parking(not for pickup trucks). Overall "ok", a lot of similar Motel on the strip. Absolutely fair for what we paid.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable,and it was quiet. It's an old motel that is well maintained.

Coffee was provided, but tea wasn't, which would have been nice. A box of facial tissues would be a good addition. Otherwise, the room had all that we needed.

Room was clean. The only thing a would recommend is turn the heat up when you know the room is going to occupied. Thermostat was set to 15c. Room was cold until 11:00pm

Clean room. Affordable rates. Nothing extraordinary but no bad surprises either. I consistently stay here because of the reliability and predictability.

There's always a little bit of traffic noise. But it's minor.

Room service was provided during our two night stay which is hardly ever done nowadays. Room was spacious including table with two comfy chairs and two chairs on the balcony.

I did not have breakfast there, so I have no opinion on that. The woman running the place was very accommodating and helpful. I couldn't get the wifi to work, but it did not matter. I just required a clean bed and a shower.

The only thing is that it would be nice to have a microwave.

This is a Mom and Pop motel. The rooms are modelled with random furniture and appliances, but somehow this creates a real charm. We have been staying at this motel for years when ever we have an over night stay in Cranbrook and we have never been disappointed.

Everything was smooth and the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcome.

Surfaces like doors, walls, heater in bathroom were not clean. Really gross to see previous customers hair and handprints on surfaces. Night table leg was very wobbly on one side of bed. King bed was only comfy if I slept in the middle. Pretty worn out on both sides.

It was spartan. Paid 145.00 didnt even have kleenex. Pillows were TERRIBLE!!! Not at all like we thought it would be.

Room had an overpowering smell of chemical cleaner. Like the spilt the entire bottle and didn’t clean it up

The older lady at the front desk was rather “curt”, I think we took her away from her TV show (it certainly wasn’t late, it was only 8:30pm). The mattress had a big stain on the side, didn’t notice until the AM. There were also yellow stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. Having said that, the rest of the bathroom was very clean. There wasn’t an electrical receptacle in the bathroom, not convenient if you want to use a curling iron or blow dryer. Lastly, be prepared for a very firm bed!

The motel was VERY clean and had been recently renovated so it was very comfortable and the facilities were modern and in good condition.

The concierge was weirdly grumpy. When I booked the room I made a request for a room on the second floor for safety and noise mitigation. My request was granted without any conditions when we booked but when we arrived and asked for the key, my spouse was lectured about the 2nd floors rooms were more expensive and that I was expecting too much in spite of the Almo staff agreeing to my request (if it was an issue why did Almo agree to it?). The concierge still gave us the room but we were made to feel like we had done something wrong.

Location didn't muffle the road or train noise. Room was cleaner than expected. One dish was a little dirty and the tub did not drain efficiently. Beds were comfy and overall the experience exceeded my expectations

Despite being on a very busy street it was quite quiet. Staff were helpful.

Check-in wasn't until 4 pm which was a bit disappointing but not a total surprise. Washroom, while clean and clearly updated was quite small, even for single occupancy.

What a diamond find in this town. The rooms they have are decorated with high end tiles and finishes, the furniture is stylish and new. The bed is comfortable and clean, fresh and new. I’m so impressed at the style of this little place. There aren’t any amenities really. Room 31 is the one I got and it had a small private patio. Oh the WIFI is 100%. Dedicated Router in the room with blazing speed. I wish they had a continental breakfast but, this one is a no-brainer. If all the rooms are this nice it’s a winner!

No one was there when we arrived. I tried emailing no answer to my ?’s. The owner had an accident and was at the hospital so we felt bad but she should have someone to cover. There was a very strong pine smell in the room which finally disappeared by the time we left. There was a door missing from the cupboard in the bathroom. Otherwise it was ok.

We will come back.

Clean room, road noise

Decidedly non corporate “mom & pop” property. Neat and clean. We liked the Keurig coffee setup. Bathroom cramped with almost no shelf or counter space. Operated with pride, but overall the value proposition came up a little short.

Grouchy staff. Handles removed the windows so we couldn't open them. Room was clean but still felt like being trapped in a little prison cell.

This is an older motel, the room and bathroom were on the small side but it has been updated, new paint and new furnishings. The room was very clean and comfortable. The deck is small but given the room had 2 doors you could enjoy the evening air sitting on the deck with a view of the mountains.

The parking lot is small but certainly manageable.

Positives were price, location compared to other hotels in Cranbrook (away from busy area), and it was fairly clean (see below). TV options were good especially if you enjoy older TV shows like I do.

The bed was a king size but the room tilted downwards and our heads were downhill on the bed so it felt uncomfortable. We also had some cleaning issues as one trash can under the sink in the kitchenette was not emptied so trash from previous guest was still in there. Also found very little room in bathroom which speaks to the age of the inn. Location is right next to highwway so you do get some traffic noise.

It’s always clean. The owners are lovely. It’s an older motel but it has been updated and it has beautiful flowers. We have stayed here 7 times and have had no problems.

Sorta cute on the outside, shower and bed was decent. Close to the main highway which was convenient.
