Easy to get to, fantastic facility
Nothing I loved it
Amazing place! Room was perfect and clean. And good blue badge parking
Nothing - all was great!
Some of the staff were friendly and helpful
hotel looks run down past the main lobby, rooms are dated and need refreshing.
Great breakfast and good value for money.
Friendly staff, nice room and complimentary cookies are always a nice treat.
Paying for parking was a surprise. Never had to do this before for a UK hotels car park.
Well placed for shopping that’s all
Everything the bed was really stiff it look run down was so unorganised and would defo recommend it needs an update or take the Hilton name off it
Central location, good access, large rooms, clean, good breakfast, lovely bar drink, very helpful staff.
The gym could do with some TLC and there needs to be better access to water, either in the rooms or water coolers available to refill bottles.
Good value for money
Sauna could be better.
Everything about the hotel

Easy to find and park
New restaurant
The staff at the bar were friendly....
The noise of the lift through out the whole night reallg did disturb my sleep the pool was tiny and very disapointing ..hotel very pricey for what it is
Staff were all very nice.
Hotel is soulless, walls and doors are absolutely battered. Pool closed for 2hrs in the middle of the day. No drinking water in the rooms.
I liked how you have a wide range of different foods to choose from at breakfast, and the fact it's always hot, fresh and tasty and always there for you to eat so you don't miss out if its all gone .the staff at breakfast always work to make sure it doesn't run out .
I wasn't happy at all and me and my partner didn't like the beverage situation,as there was 2 coffees,1 milk,2 teabags[raspberry],NO CHOICE OF NORMAL CUPPA,1 sugar sachet, for 2 adults who stayed for 2 nights in a king size room at £249 .MOST SHOCKING in 2 days.i.e all weekend no member of house keeping or staff offered to see if we needed any beverages, wen asked they said sorry only got 1 teabag ran out
We loved the beds , gym facilities, food and the staff
Good location
The room was full of flying dust.

The room service worked well for us. But limited options
The breakfast experience was so poor. Not enough staff. Tye staff that were on hand were completely overwhelmed. Hotel squeezing margins and not paying for enough staff. Led to buffet being empty. No food. No crockery. No cups. Only one coffee machine. Total chaos. Don’t advertise a queen room and put a normal sized double bed in it.
Nice sized room
Advertised as having air conditioning on booking.com but I was informed it only had an air cooling system. There were children actually in the sauna rooms.
I was in the spa with my 70 year old mum and wife kid kept on jumping in and splashing so we told him to please stop as your not allowed to bomb in the pool or jump in. Staff didn't do anything after being told. As the kids father come in the kid told him we had said something to him. We then got out only to be followed by his farther to the changing room and he then told another who was with him looking straight at me and said he about to get shanked. Won't be going hear again.
We really enjoyed our one night-stop over. We had a concert booked so it was an ideal location to where we were going. The room was clean, comfortable & just lovely
We were a bit disappointed about not being asked if we would like breakfast in the morning
Comfy beds. Spacioys room. Swimming was good
Swimming slot for kids 45 mins only
Comfortable and clean
Nothing
The hotel was clean comfortable and in a good location with lots of food places to visit
The second day stay we had breakfast booked, when we turned up for breakfast at 9am there was literally nothing left unless you wanted a plate of beans , no fruit, no bread, no bacon, sausage hash browns no juice they didn’t even have any water left, no coffee, no tea bags the seating area was filthy and we got told they will look into this, that doesn’t help with the fact we paid for breakfast and didn’t get anything
The Staff , comfort , breakfast , location
It was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff were amazing and always on hand to help
Can't think of anything
Great stay, comfy , clean and offers a great breakfast
Cant think of anything
Very clean, modern building on the inside! Our room was lovely and clean! very big too - we stayed in the Junior suite and it lived up to the expectations! Bathroom had both a standing shower and a bath separate! Big bed, comfy pillows, slight hard mattress but didn’t bother us! heard no noise which was lovely and peaceful. Staff on the front desk were very welcoming so thank you :)
Only minor thing was our AC, didn’t seem to work properly! it was quite chilly the days we stayed there so wanted a little bit of warmth through the room - AC was brilliant but too cold as some points. Heating part didn’t seem to work but switched it off completely the room naturally heated up! Wasn’t a massive issue for us but just some feedback
We stayed here for 7 days. While we really liked the restaurant team and some members of staff at reception, our overall experience was very disappointing — especially compared to our absolutely wonderful 7-day stay last year at Hilton at St George’s Park. We know Hilton can do better, as we’ve experienced at other properties. Great staff at the restaurant and reception deserve credit, but poor communication over costs and substandard cleaning really let this stay down.
Disappointing Stay – Hidden Charges & Poor Cleanliness We stayed here for 7 days, and honestly we left feeling very disappointed, especially compared to our wonderful experience last year at Hilton at St George’s Park. Parking – hidden cost: At check-in we were simply asked to register our car — nobody mentioned anything about parking fees. We had every reason to believe parking was complimentary. Only at check-out, after 7 nights, were we told we had to pay for full parking. This felt misleading and completely unfair. Cleanliness – unacceptable standard: Over our entire one-week stay, the bed sheets were never changed. Dust was not wiped or cleaned anywhere in the room. Housekeeping only replaced towels each day — that was all. For a Hilton hotel, this level of service and hygiene is not acceptable at all. We have stayed at other Hilton properties and know what the standard should be. This experience fell far short. We expected transparency and proper housekeeping — and received neither.
The hotel was lovely. Great for our stay!
Breakfast not being included
Convenient location.
Poorly run, lack of service in every area of the hotel falls below what you would expect from a double tree. Reception do not answer from the room, room service direct line doesn’t work, pool area and pool dirty along with being over crowded. Very disappointed.
Excellent location friendly staff lovely room and excellent value for money
Breakfast was very busy
We always stay here when visiting Altin Towers. Love the cookies on arrival and never had any issues staying there.
All good
Beds
Linen was lovely as were the towels in bathroom … bedroom and bathroom good …
That we couldn’t get into the restaurant for dinner … fully booked … breakfast was ok but far too many people for the size of room
Comfy spacious rooms
Rooms and corridors on floor three smelt of smoke. Not ideal with a 7 week old baby
Everything place was lovely I will be back.
Friendly staff. Food was really good. Gym and pool were great added extras. 👌🏻
The pillows in the room were too soft. The air con was really loud.
Location was perfect for Leeds The outside grounds very good However drinks dumped on lawns not cleaned for few days
Bedrooms not cleaned properly with spider webs and ants found in room Cups not clean
The staff were great, extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the gym had all one might need for a good workout.
I understand that demand for the pool may have been high but it would have been nice to be able to go when we wanted to and not have to book a time slot 2 and a half hours away.
Awesome place, comfortable beds, best I've slept on. Food was great too.
It was a heat wave and i had to walk all the way downstairs to get refills of water. There was no drinking water in the rooms
The room was nice and the reception person was helpful and gave us cookies.
The pool was very cold and not very big. The restaurant in the hotel for dinner was below average.
Breakfast was so good and the room was exceptional
Nothing
Good friendly staff and clean rooms
Nothing to complain
Location
The view from the room was of a fkat rokf and ghats sbout all, also being 61 and travelling half the way around the world with heavy cases we find ourselves mid floors whereby we have to manually handle our own cases up flights of stairs - with no porter service provided When issues were brought to the mabagements atgention they were somewhat dismissed and the comment was - what do you want us to do, There was never any assistance or apology provided Absolutely shocking customer support.
It was a good hotel
Staff were helpful and friendly
Wasn’t enough staff on, limited vegetarian options, limited time allowed in the swimming pool
Comfortable rooms
Swimming pool was a bit dirty and change rooms, main area was tired looking.
Large and spacious with lots of seating in the bar area
Not easy to leave the hotel on foot - no footpath all the way to the main road so had to walk in the hotel driveway.
I was very disappointed with my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent. I completed online check-in and selected room 247, but when I arrived, my room had been changed to 218. Room 247 was away from the lift and staircase, whereas room 218 was the first room next to them. When I asked why, I was told that the original room might have been given to another guest who had been staying longer or had a greater need. I found this explanation disappointing and not very convincing. It also made me question the purpose of online room selection if the selected room can simply be reassigned. There was also an issue with breakfast. I booked using a valid public sector offer through my Blue Light Card, and my booking clearly included breakfast. However, at check-in I was initially questioned about why breakfast was included and was told it was not. The booking was checked again and breakfast was eventually confirmed. I found the way this was handled unnecessarily uncomfortable. Housekeeping was also disappointing. There was no conditioner in the room on the first day. I contacted reception and was told it would be brought to me, but it never arrived. The next day it was still not replenished. I asked reception again at lunchtime, but nothing happened, and I eventually had to ask again after returning from the swimming pool before some was finally found. Overall, the communication, customer service and housekeeping were not what I would expect from a Hilton hotel. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel.
Location and staff
Staff were great
Room no mini fridge Gym only one bench for lifting yet like 10 unused cardio machines
This hotel is 30 minutes away from Alton Towers. We picked it as it had a pool! overall the hotel, restaurant & staff were lovely.
Pool abit small
Plenty of amenities in close proximity
When walking to places nearby we had to walk on the road to the car park as the front door to the conference area was locked and there is no pathway to the hotel entrance at the rear.
Experience of life time,
Breakfast was 10 out 10,the staff was so helpful, hightly recommend.
I am very fussy with pillows! I always wish nice hotels would have a selection of different pillows.
The rooms were great, everything provided and very clean. Breakfast was also good with a wide range of options.
One evening meal out of the two was terrible. The staff took ages to seat us, we had to ask for them to take our order as they were too busy chatting, no specials menu was provided, the garlic spaghetti was inedible with too much garlic oil on which burned, they did not bring a dessert so after 25 minutes we cancelled it and were not given any acknowledgement when we left. The following night was different and much improved.
Kids pit, bar, pool, parking, staff - Izzy made they stay
Breakfast - was ok. I didn’t use it, it was not worth it for me - the sausages were poor and bacon poor Qaulity
Good breakfast
Staff working very hard but clearly struggling with insufficient numbers.
Rooms were comfortable
Check in took an hour due to system problem - however that is unavoidable - it was the way that staff dealt with it that was the issue. They funnelled us to the bar but then assisted people who had not been waiting as long. They did not mange the issue very effectively at all- we all understand system problems but it could have been managed much better.
We stayed here as a family of 4 ( adults and 2 children) following a day at the waterpark which is next door (2 min walk across the car park). If you are HIlton honours members you can park here for free and walk to the waterpark so you don't need to pay the extra £6 to park at the waterpark. This hotel was fabulous (except for breakfast). We booked a king suite as we wanted beds for both children (rather than sharing one double bed) and I have to say it was a gorgeous room, well equipped with bathrobes and slippers and complimentary cold drinks in the fridge. Room had a spacious bathroom with shower and separate bathtub which is great for my washing the chlorine out of my daughters hair after the waterpark. We ate in the hotel restuarant for dinner - the food was lovely and kids ate really cheap so the entire bill came to £47 for four of us (that was cheaper than the breakfast). Hotel room beds were comfy and the floor was extremely quiet so had an amazing nights sleep here. Breakfast was quite another tale. We came for breakfast about 8.30 and had not pre-booked so paid there and then. It was £16 per person for hot food regardless of age) and £8 for a continental so this costed us £56 for breakfast. The food was only lukewarm at the time we were there and it was not replenished in the hour we were sat there (opposite the buffet so could see). My husband requested vegetarian sausages which seemed to take 20 minutes to cook so he ended up eating his breakfast after we had finished ours. Whilst breakfast at the hotel was convienient in hindsight I would have rather popped to the mcDonalds down the road or one of the many eateries nearby for a guarenteed hot breakfast at half the price. Whilst the room and amenities were excellent, the overall rating is brought down by the rather pitiful breakfast offering. For £250 a night per room I did expect better from the Hilton brand. I would stay in this hotel again as the staff were great and the room was fabulous, but I wouldn't be purcahsing the breakfast offering again.

Size of swimming pool does not correspond to publicly photo
Good location and not far from Alton towers
Leaking shower door, poor toilet flush, pool tiles chipped and broken, had to pay for parking despite paying to stay at hotel
Nice building, reception, bar and restaurant. Breakfast had a great selection for all the family. The sand pit outside was a nice touch, as was having a large screen showing the football.
The pool was very crowded even with a fixed booking slot, and the kids facilities were very limited to just the sand pit.
A nice room and restaurant food good.
The room was freezing cold and AC not easily adjustable. The swimming pool was very crowded with children jumping and diving so impossible to swim, despite having to book a slot. The restaurant staff were friendly but kept forgetting things. I had to ask for wine twice as it was forgotten, sauce for sea bass also forgotten and young staff member told me limoncello was on pudding when it had been forgotten and arrived later after sweet finished. I had a message welcoming me after check in asking for any issues but automatically generated I suppose as no one replied to my issues mentioned above.
Stayed many times. Good location and very helpful
Lovely stay yet again. Great staff. Lovely cool room temperature despite the heatwave. Great location. Clean. Great bathrooms and shower and soaps.
Couple of niggles which meant I knocked a point off the score. Breakfast day 2 had better selection than day 1 but same price. Cups in room too small to make anything like a decent cuppa. Bar offered cocktails but staff did not know how to make them and could not find ingredients. And please include parking for guests in the price rather than as a hidden £7.50 per day cost.
Clean, Fab air conditioning, free lollies lover staff
Breakfast was a bit of let down
Room change was made the following morning
First night at the hotel, and the air conditioning/ air- cooling system was not working and the room was extremely hot due to the current weather.
Room was nice, staff were good
Not enough bar staff and no working air conditioning in room
V comfortable room Restaurant food good Friendly hard working staff
Hilton is letting its employees down with slow systems and understaffing. Service in the bar and restaurant was v slow. Reception and bar area untidy
On arrival we queued to check in as the one receptionist was busy helping someone with future bookings and no-one else was around to help others waiting even though it was the start of check in time and even I would expect a little bit of a ‘rush’. By the time we stepped forward to be checked in there were at least 3 other groups of people behind waiting. Receptionist was efficient. Room looked lovely and as though it has recently been renovated. All the facilities in the room that you would expect. Dinner in the restaurant was nice and the staff friendly and helpful. After dinner to bed we went…omg the hardest bed I have ever encountered. Quilt was folded I half so we could try and sleep on that, large towels were placed underneath that to try and give some cushion which made only minimal difference. Sleep evaded us most of the night with only short periods of sleeping before moving woke you up. I can honestly say this made me feel like the Princess from the fairytale where she had a pea under the mattered and could feel it. I felt bruised and exhausted the next day. Will not be returning.
Location & pool although a little busy because of the weather
No air conditioning in the rooms,
Staff were pleasant
Room was boiling hot - window wouldnt open more than an inch - maintenance came to open it further but once it was closed - couldnt open it at all Asked for a quiet room and was placed above the function suite with a wedding going on - not quiet at all. Window blind was broken and room was very dark even with all the lights on Got moved rooms - an upgrade - room still dark and safe broken. Breakfast wasn't good - tables not clean or set, had to ask for plates, cutlery, mugs and food - not topped up enough. One particular member of staff hung about at the entry desk but could have done some work - tidying and topping up.
Location and the room was spot on.
The service at the restaurant was shocking! The pool was very small and we were only aloud in for 45 mins
Stayed here in May booking package through Alton towers resort for x2 nights. Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish, made complaint and were told they would inform Alton towers as booking was through them. This never happened and I’m still waiting for a response from my complaint. They even agreed my experience was not acceptable but this was due to staff issues. So unprofessional
Lovely location and everything was great including the breakfasts, beds, cleanliness.
The windows are single glazing, and a latch was broken. They fixed it ASAP tho.
Dinner was poor quality and overpriced
It was clean
That when restaurant closed and food ordered we were given out to for eating in the lobby and were forced to leave
Rooms lovely comfortable and clean
Check in was so slow! And the restaurant staff was even slower! 15 minutes sat waiting before I had to go and ask staff to take order for our drinks and food. Drinks took another 15 minutes to come so no drinks for 30 minutes. Food was good but service really let it down
Good conference facilities, good location, lovely staff.
Little pricey for what it was, breakfast was mediocre compared to similar hotel stays.
Perfect stay with family. Stayed for 2 nights in the family room and has been lovely. Check in was very smooth and staff were lovely. Room is pristine, & air con is amazing. Went out all day and came back and housekeeping had been in which was also very nice. Breakfast was 10/10 and everything replenished constantly. Would highly recommend, there’s a sandpit outside the front which was great for the kids. Swimming pool and changing facilities were great and again extremely clean. Will definitely stay again.
Very clean room, nice facilities generally but the staff need more training, particularly in the restaurant and bar area but also on reception. Lots of mistakes made throughout our visit.
Staff got our order wrong for the evening meal, got our drinks order wrong at the bar, didn't know how to make certain drinks, didn't know where the menus were. I could go on.
room was good and staff you had very good
restaurant food was not great, it was overpriced hidden behind the children eat for free deal. Pictures of hotel misleading as well, basically looking out onto just a car park. Not enough staff either, the ones you had working were very good however help them out perhaps!
Lovely friendly staff, and got a free cookie upon checking in 😍 room was clean, bed super comfy.
Maybe free parking for guests
The room was good size
The room didn’t have fridge
Room air con was not working at all. Nice enough place to stay but at £200 a night I expected more. Stayed in room 255 on the 24-05-2026. I did complain about the air con was offered a complementary drink instead. I said I would rather have my room cooling working. Was then advised to put the supplied electric fan on the window sill to blow the from air out side to inside. On the hottest day of the year this was not a sensible option! At this point some other guy stepped in to say he will send someone up to have a look. Someone did arrive, and then said he was no air con engineer but did say he might be able to override it. However, he then disappeared and didn't come back. Now just to say it wasn't a case of the cooling was struggling but a case of the cooling system was completely dead. I got the impression that but no one could give a shit. Had a very sweaty and uncomfortable night with little sleep because of the heat.
I appreciate that breakdowns can happen but we were not offered a different room or any real solution. The room was unbearable to be in and for the premium price I expected to be able to sleep. The staff seemed quite indifferent and other than offering a drink they had no answers.
Was good the room was spacious beds comfy Good bar area and sand pit for kids .
No free cookies left were given a card to collect the next day but didn’t have any The pool was out of action our boys were gutted
Location, parking and initial welcome from reception (Sam) was very good. Breakfast selection was good and reasonably hot.
The service at the bar was hopeless with staff not clear what drinks they had and two of the three draft beers running out - suspect no one knew how to change barrels. Bar temperature too hot to be comfortable. Dinner overpriced but captive audience.
Located at a prime spot. Room size and room interior were good.
Plates and cups at the restaurant and event were dirty both days.
Location was good, check in was good
No water in the room. Bathroom in the room was not clean. Service in the restaurant was not up to par. Ordered drinks when we got a seat and the dinner arrived before the drinks 😄. Forgot a portion of the ordered meal and proceeded to charge full price for it after being informed of the mistake. Restaurant was not clean, the next day at breakfast. EV charging price is extortionate.
Stayed in room 255 on the 24-05-2026. Hottest day since records began. Air cooling in the room not working, unit completely dead. I did complain about the air con was offered a complementary drink instead. I said I would rather have my room cooling working. Was then advised to put the supplied electric fan on the window sill to blow the from air out side to inside. On the hottest day of the year this was not a sensible option! However, he then disappeared and didn't come back. Now just to say it wasn't a case of the cooling was struggling but a case of the cooling system was completely dead. I got the impression that no one could care less.
Breakfast two days out of four, good range, not crowded, but availability of crockery needs to be addressed on both mornings. Room fine, bed comfortable with just duvet cover needed on sticky nights with fans both on all night, heatwave days and nights obviously cannot be held up as the norm. Bathroom overall fine, but little grime and mound evident in shower area and on wallpaper portions.
As above
As a Hilton Gold member I usually try to stay brand specific . I contacted via the app regarding that I had read there was no air con in the hotel . With temperatures being 33-36 degrees this was imoortant . I was assured there were fans and an air cooling type feature. I went with it , the air cooling was better than many AC with room being cool so no issues . Staff are all very nice , was recognised as a Gold on check in , given free drinks voucher , comp breakfast etc . Room was 330 , good size however double glazing not great so road noise from Festival way . Also the lift motor unit cd be heard and noisy . Plumbing noises as well . I had earplugs so was okay but if your a light sleeper you may want to select a room well away from lift vestibule and the main road . Also safe unusable as prev guest left it locked in open position so needs resetting . I mentioned this to the front desk so the next guest is not impacted . It should be a standard check for housekeeping . Beds comfortable , room clean , big Samsung TV , iron and board , Tea and coffee , fans and a great shower . Had dinner in the restaurant, again lovely staff , food average and service a bit dis jointed but staff positive and pleasant attitude made up for this . Free parking . Nice gym on lobby level . I would stay again .
Everything, especially the staff, all of them were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The food especially the evening restaurant was lovely. We shall definitely be back
Nothing. The weather was extremely hot the days we were there, we were pleased to see 2 fans in our room.
A spacious room. Good selection of food. Helpful staff. Excellent location for visiting potteries and Emma Bridgewater factory.
Very busy and noisy on saturday night .
The staff were very friendly and professional the facilities were great to use the the swimming pool and gym you were great to use after along day
The only issue i had was with the room being way to hot as the air-conditioning wasnt working in the room and we only had two fans to use which were blowing hot air because the room was so warm
