Om in de kamer te geraken moest ik door het restaurant. De man van het restaurant was onvriendelijk. De kamer was gelegen boven de keuken van het restaurant. Hierdoor was de kamer heel erg warm en ruiken al mijn spullen (nu nog) naar de keuken.

Location close to the tunnel, was our primary reason for selecting this hotel. parking to the rear, but open, so make sure you brings suitable locks if you are on a motorbike, safety in numbers. On site Indian restaurant was very good, tasty.

Rooms were basic but enough for a 1 night stop over, not the sort of hotel you book into for a 2 weeks holiday. Windows were very dirty, so looking out towards the sea was hazy at best.

After reading some poor reviews I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and professional. Hotel a little dated and worn. Our room was clean bedding and towels all looked new. Hot water plentiful. Excellent location.

The interior of the hotel let's it down - all in need of a face-lift. But to be honest I loved some of the old features. Like the tiny old lift.

It's a good location for the town. Overlooking the coast. Parking is plentiful. Rooms a decent size. Towels were provided, staff great.

Das Zimmer war für den Preis ok. Sauber, aber klein. Gute Lage direkt am Strand. Personal nett. Parkplatz vorhanden.

Wir reisten mit einem kleinen Hund für den wir gleich bei der Ankunft pro Nacht 20 Pfund zahlen mussten. So viel mussten wir noch nie bezahlen. Es gab auch gar nichts dafür wie z.B. eine Hundewasserschale. Sie haben den Preis auf booking.com geschoben, aber das stimmt nicht. Hunde werden nur toleriert, damit sie das Zimmer vermieten können.

Location great , nice pubs and restaurants, quirky little shops, nice scenery and river.

Poor shower pressure, lighting was poor, door slammed shut if you did not hold it until it shut, this was the case with other guests when their doors were shutting, hotel decor looked very tired and outdated, you can get better accommodation at a better price in hythe.

The room was very comfortable, newly furbished. It came with a nice fan that was very quiet. Nice large TV. The toilet seemed warm even though there was no heat on, and the vent fan didn't work. Parking was good, though there was a pretty narrow passage to get through to the area. I would certainly come back.

Just the toilet fan that didn't work. The layout of the hotel was 'interesting' in that we had to walk through the restaurant to get to our room, and that there were 10 doors to go through between the entrance to our room. Not really a dislike, just a comment

Excellent location for the sea front and town.

Where do you start? This was a last-minute booking, so there was not much choice, but there is a reason that this hotel is cheap and always available. We were greeted by some down-on-his-luck local playing a gambling machine by the hotel entrance who pointed us toward reception. The lady on reception was very nice and helpful, but the hotel itself was terrible. We had to walk through an empty but open Indian curry restaurant, kitchen, and unkept storage room with our luggage to access our room (there was no other way!). The bed was OK, but the en-suite was a mess. With some investment, this could be an excellent hotel given its location, but as it stands, there is no way we would go back.

It is an old hotel, with no modern facilities 🤮

The Seaview room I paid for had just little windows. I also had to climb narrow stairs to get to the bathroom, whilst I was just recovering from Hamstring strain on my legs. The room was hot, because the windows just had little openings, there was no fridge or air- conditioning, so I became sick because I wasn't comfortable in the rooms. I was charged £20 for late checkout, even when I explained to them I was sick in the morning and needed more time to relax, before I could attend to my 3 children. They kept returning every few minutes to bang at the door! The staff were also rude and un-accommodating. One of the male staff replied rudely that " He doesn’t have my time" when I requested for my £30 deposit!

Sea front location

Very small room claustrophobic, outlook was a brick wall 10 feet away with bulkhead lights on all night long, very noisy neighbours using disgusting foul threatening language they sounded as if they were in the room with me. This went on for most of the night. The bathroom needs serious updating. Upon arrival the receptionist demanded £30.00 extra cost not mentioned previously, I am still waiting for a refund. I would not recommend this hotel as I feel it was not as described in the description.

The lift is minute, pillows very hard, no air conditioning so had fan on constantly, but room still sweltering Window only opens 3 inches - soap next to basin just froth. Shower either ran boiling or freezing

Hotel is old and very dated the windows are all blown with condensation inside. All the paint is peeling everywhere the room was so hot we didn't sleep at all a fan is supplied but just blows hot air around the room lots of noise outside. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone its falling apart and the price they charge doesn't reflect the stay and I think the £30 deposit for damages is ridiculous. There are no sockets near the beds to charge your phone states there are when booking

Allen de ligging dichtbij de promenade, centrumpje en Dover. Bedden waren redelijk. Kamer zelf was (redelijk, maar oud) schoon.

Zeer onvriendelijk en ongeïnteresseerd ontvangst. Parkeerplaats staat totaal niet aangegeven. Er is ook maar zeer beperkt en krap plaats. Men is niet behulpzaam bij het vinden van een parkeerplaats elders. Dan moet je maar uitzoeken waar je je auto (met bagage, want twee kilometer lopen met alles is toch wel ver) laat. Beneden even bij de bar/zithoek even gezeten, maar personeel zit zelf luidruchtig aan de bar. Wij hadden een kamer op de 4de verdieping, gehorig, alles ziet er wat onverzorgd uit. Vreselijk benauwd, raam gaat 5 cm open. Er staan waaiers maar die zijn zo smerig, levensgevaarlijk. De masterbedroom was nog een stijle trap omhoog. Niet geschikt voor oudere mensen. De wc zit dan ook s'nachts naar boven de trap op. Mijn moeder kon dan ook niet naar het toilet s'nachts en moest het ophouden totdat ik wakker werd van haar roepen. De foto's van booking zijn echt heel oud waarschijnlijk, want zo ziet het er totaal niet uit als je aankomt. Er zit nu een Indisch restaurant bij, met wisselende recensies. Wij hebben daar niet gegeten, gewoon omdat de ambiance er niet aanlokkelijk uitzag. Wij hebben gegeten bij Azzur, Italiaan in het centrum. Dat is echt een aanrader als je in Hythe bent. Nee, dit was een vreselijke nacht, en een domper op een geweldige vakantie. Een benauwde kamer, bereikbaar via een smerig trapportaal of krappe lift. Ook bij uitchecken is er totaal niemand aanwezig.

Perfect location right by the beach. Free parking. Friendly reception. I had a budget room as I only stayed one night and left early for the Eurotunnel. The rooms with sea view must be amazing. It only took 12min to get to Eurotunnel check in and after a long walk on the beach I slept really well.

Excellent location just across the road from the promenade and long shingle beach. Comfortable bed and good shower. Great sea view from our good sized window. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beach bar and excellent restaurant just across the road: great breakfast bar on the beach, 10 mins walk away along the promenade.

Parking was a bit of an issue, although we found a space on the roadside close to the hotel. (The private car park had a space for us, but the access was too narrow for our car.)

This hotel, where I have stayed before on a number of occasions, albeit many years ago, is so much in need of TLC and overall upgrade it is hard to describe. I don’t want to unfair but never again if it were free.

The location close to Folkestone and on the beach was ideal for us. The bed sheets and towels were clean as promised. Lovely view from room.

Our room key didn't work on arrival at 9pm. The communal corridor/stairs areas are very grubby and shabby, all windows need cleaning inside and out. Our room had steep stairs including directly out of the bathroom. Our son is 10, I do not think our triple room would be suitable for children any younger than that.

it´s a nice little hotel. The staff were super friendly to my dog and myself. It´s your typical English/British old hotel, worn carpets, small amenities. The elevator is small but you can manage. there was plenty of parking around and the hotel itself has a parking lot too. It´s right on the beach (the beach is forbidden for dogs in the summer)

20£ fee for the dog is way more we paid at any other hotel on our trip.

We had a wonderful stay at OYO! The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The stunning view from our room made our stay even more special, and being just a 2-minute walk from the ocean was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Check-in was quick and easy, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy our holiday. Excellent location, amazing views, great value for money, and outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay here again. The location of the hotel is perfect, we could see the sea from the window.

The building is in desperate need of renovating, the room was dirty with hair on the bedding. Key card only worked half the time and had to call the receptions mobile for assistance back into the room in the middle of the night as the card had deactivated.

Excellent location for The Channel Tunnel which is why I had booked the hotel. Check was very efficient and the receptionist was extremely pleasant and engaging. Clean facilities and the room was effectively kitted out for a night stop over.

Der Mitarbeiter am Empfang war freundlich aber genervt, weiter mussten Wir eine Kaution von 30£ hinterlegen, was im Buchungssystem nicht erwähnt wurde. Im Badezimmer war Duschen fast unmöglich da kein Wasserdruck, und das bei 29°C Zimmer Temperatur ! Weiterhin lief in der Toilette ständig Wasser ! Der Fernseher ging zwar, es konnten aber keine Kanäle eingestellt werden ! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht, viel zu teuer ! Wir haben keinen Parkplatz bekommen, es war alles voll ! Das Hotel buchen wir nie wieder !

Excellent location, staff friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely sized room overlooking the sea. Room was spotlessly clean. Personal comfort - bed was a bit soft and the water pressure on shower was a bit low for me. However, this did not impact our stay. Would definitely return, excellent value for money.

Beds were comfy and the location on the beach suited us.

There was no soap in either the basin or bath dispensers on arrival . The staff rectified this however. But then No hot water throughout our stay ( and we raised it when we arrived but it was not sorted ) we managed 1 Luke warm bath on arrival but after that the shower and bath ran cold . We couldn’t shower in the morning. There was a stagnant smell coming from the toilet the whole time we were there and it also continually ran after flushing which made an annoying noise all night.

I use this hotel every month for my convenience. The location is superb, plenty of free parking, easy walking distance to locsl pubs/restaurants. The staff are fantastic. The rooms are basic, but very clean and tidy. There is also an Indian restaurant on site. No breakfast available but plenty of options in Hythe.
