Very central to Hythe. Very pleasant staff. Evening meal from specials board was excellent. Lovely overall atmosphere .

Completely smashed up fan left in room why was it left there. Needed replacing. Needed blind on window.

Fine old building with uneven floors, as a character vintage property should have. Right by the bus stop for both directions along the coast. A pub, and yet not too noisy after 10pm.

Couldn’t open bathroom window so could not get the air to flow through; it was very hot weather.

Hi all. Staff - amazing!! Building - amazing!! Generally - amazing!! Food - amazing! Just a few room issues - room 6 (please note, this is not me complaining - this is more advice for the next customer) -Slow drain in sink -Shower holder was loose (no water pressure at shower, but imagine this is due to the characteristics of an old building) -Very odd stain (it did clean off with some elbow grease) on the inside of the bath As i say - loved the stay and would come again! thank you for your accomodation :)

The breakfast was ok but that was an extra £12

For £100 for one night I expected a bit of luxury but that didn't extend beyond a large towel. It looked to me as though they furnished the room from a junk shop. I woke up with acid reflux because owning to the sloping floor the foot of the bed was higher than the head. The hotel was right close to a busy main road. I had to open the windows to try to cool it because the fan I asked for was totally ineffective. Mercifully there was less traffic in the early hours of the morning. You even need to ask for a hair dryer. The tv remote control didn't work properly

Die Lage zum Eurotunnel, das Essen im Pub und die Freundlichkeit des Personals waren außergewöhnlich gut.

Leider gab es kein Frühstück. Zudem machte die Lautstärke der Küchenlüftung das Einschlafen fast unmöglich.

We had a few problems with the shower to begin with, but the staff sorted it out in an efficient and friendly manner.

My partner and I were fine but he has recently had a hip replacement, and it occurred to us that the lack of a lift might cause problems for some and we weren’t sure if this fact is mentioned in your advertising.

Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich empfangen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und preiswert, der Saal sehr gemütlich und kinderfreundlich. Wir vergassen einen Pulli und sie schickten uns diesen sogar nach in die Schweiz. Da waren wir extrem froh!!!

The staff were really helpful and did all they could to make my stay comfortable. I ate there in the evening and the food was more interesting than standard pub grub. I would happily eat there again.

I was disappointed that there was no breakfast chef when I stayed. Also as my room faced the square it was very noisy.

Shower just a trickle of water, remote not working even after new batteries put in . My friend staying in another room had a good shower and remote was fine. I feel the shower was not good enough for the price of the room.

Typisch Engelse Inn met pub, restaurant waar je prima kan eten, en een paar hotelkamers. De familiekamer (tweepersoonsbed en een eenpersoonsbed) was prima voor een nachtje. Vriendelijk personeel. Handige locatie in de buurt van LeShuttle in Folkestone.

Omdat een volledig Engels ontbijt niet aan ons besteed is, hadden we een 'light breakfast' besteld, maar dat was wel erg 'light'. De badkamer was een beetje gedateerd, met een beschimmeld antislipmatje.

The room was basic but very clean and spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was free. It was a short walk to the town centre and the canal.

The double bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was very firm and lumpy.

The room was very basic and first impression was clean. However the shower cubicle was extremely dirty with built up black gunk around doors and glass. Also the tail rail was coming off the wall.

Stayed two nights for a wedding. Room a little tired but was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfy. Some one had taken the TV remote so given one from another room which did work apart from having to switching it on by hand. I am a light sleeper and requested the non road side for quietness, and due to very hot weather wanted to have the sash windows open, but then I could hear the rear outside air con type fan going all night which kept me awake for some while. Ear plugs purchased for the second night which did the trick. There was a flat roof on our window level which had two seagull (non flying) chicks calling for their parent a lot of the day and night, and being animal lovers were concerned that they were OK and being fed by their parents for most of our stay. The full breakfast and coffee was great, and made by a very nice friendly over worked lady. So feel free to give her a raise and a new apron. All in all I would return and use the pub again.

Booked a king room, but it had a normal size double bed. When I queried this with the staff, they said nobody had ever raised this before. The main door from the outside into the building where my room was, was always unlocked, 24/7. When I said that I thought this was not very secure or safe, because anyone could get into the building, I was sharply told that this was the way it is. The only locked door between my room and the outside world was the door to my room.

Locatie was perfect, ontbijt hebben we niet gehad, omdat er op maandag geen ontbijt gemaakt werd en op donderdag moesten we om 7.15 weer naar de trein/tunnel en dat was voor hen te vroeg voor ontbijt.

Bedden waren niet geweldig, erg dunne harde matras en de vloer van de kamer liep verschrikkelijk scheef af, dit was niet fijn.

The pressure for the shower was bad, as it came out as sort of a drizzle and excess water was running out of the handle for the hot water. I think that pipe would be a quick fix, just tightening it.

We stayed here the night before we were going on Le Shuttle. We arrived after check in shut but had already organised this with the host who was extremely helpful. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Paid cash in advance for breakfast and was told at 8am that chef hadn't turned up so no breakfast. Staff then had trouble locating cash. for us to give money back. Booked king size room with queen bed but definitely wasn't a queen size and was also uncomfortable. Had room at front so noisy. Very hot but couldn't have window open due to noise.

The room was great for what we needed, really clean with a comfy bed.

As we were checking in late we were told a key would be left in a key box for us. Unfortunately no key was left and we were waiting around in the car park for someone to bring us a key for around 15 minutes. I was originally travelling alone and would have felt really uncomfortable being a lone woman in a dark car park in an unfamiliar place late at night! Luckily I was with my partner but after a really long drive it wasn’t ideal.

I would have preferred to have a room on the side of the court (to have a bit less street noise). I read opinions from other visitors and even asked for that (I booked early, there was such a possibility...). No chance... 😓 Also, I would propose to use softer cleaning products - the weather was really hot, which made chlorium-based 'freshness' slightly disturbing...

The location was excellent. We had one breakfast and one evening meal at the hotel, both of which were fine. The room was quite large and airy.

The property was a great location for our stay, it was very clean, bed was low but very comfortable, had the most amazing good nights sleep, staff were very friendly and very helpful with sorting out a cab for us. We hadn’t ordered breakfast but they were very accommodating and let us have one at short notice. Would highly recommend a stay if looking for a place to stay, also onsite parking.

We hired 3 rooms. Shower water pressure in room 8 was very poor. The bed headboard creaked with every move. Shower cubicle in room 5 was quite small. Seats in the bar area were really uncomfortable and/ or rickety. Noise from the kitchen fans or generator during the night was constant and disturbed sleep. Having to request breakfast the night before and the short breakfast time window resulted in us not ordering any across the 3 night stay.
