The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom doorknob and wood was punched through. The heat vents were rusted. The coffee maker did not work - I tried to make a pot and after 25 minutes, only 3 cups actually came out and it smelled like tar. We couldn't drink it. The shower head was very low and hard to shower bent in half. The step in was a drop off and I almost hurt myself. The couch was tilted crazy towards the center and hard to get out of. Overall, it is really dumpy. Also, we had a family emergency and could only stay one night. The property agreed to only charge us one night but no refund has been submitted and Booking.com is not helping which is very rude. I have pictures if you want them.

Location was good coming from WaWa Ontario We had 3 beds - had laundry facilities

Cottage was in need of repairs and a deep cleaning. Appliances dirty, some dishes dirty. Broken Christmas lights hanging form the eves, property common areas were unkept. Hopefully they will be renovating and cleaning up the property soon. Pictures posted online are not what you see once you get there.

Cleanliness. The furniture was solid. Room set ups gave lots of room to move. It had a large refrigerator and stove which we used to cook supper. Cupboards had the essentials for dishes. There were lots of towels available. Parking was great. The hostess was very friendly and explained all the ammenties around the campground.

Found the "on demand hot water" was hard to regulate. The dovet was very heavy and an ordinary blanket would be a welcome addition.

The location was fine. Lovely country roads to get to the cottages.

The room/cottage was on the dirty side. The coach was stained, the washroom was mediocre with cleanliness and we found hair/fluff on the bedsheets (questioning if they were even washed).

Great location, pet friendly, perfect for our needs.

The Glenview Cottages were exceptional very clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and explained everything. The beds were comfortable and all necessities were available. I would definitely book again and recommend the Greenview Cottages to everyone!

Location Dog Friendly 2 bedrooms

The cabin was dirty. The baseboads and corners have not been cleaned in some time. The air conditioner was filthy and broken, did not push cold air. Bathroom had hairballs Only a scant amount of toilet paper provided, no back up roll.

The cabins are grubby. Baseboards and corners have years of accumulated dirt. Very basic provisions.

A wonderful example of a successful family business. It was a great pleasure to stay at this resort. The cottage had everything we needed and more. A lovely sauna and pool. Thank you so much to Harman for being able to accommodate our special request. We are very grateful for that! We would love to come back and stay there again. Despite the fact that it’s very close to the Trans-Canada highway, there was no noise in the cottage at all during the night. Thank you very much to very nice staff!

Location was great, right near the Hiawatha Trails network and 5 mins into town. Pool was in good shape and clean. Mattress was comfortable.

Cabin was in poor shape and in need of a deep clean, use of heavily perfumed air fresheners gave me a headache. All of the dishes in the cabin were filthy and needed to be rewashed.

Very good value for money. A chalet at the price of a motel room.

This was a great spot for a rest. Campground was clean, staff was friendly and the pet friendly cottages are perfect for travellers.

Very basic but cozy setup. Communication was top notch and the place was very easily accessible from the highway. I especially loved the well stocked kitchen that had utensils required for a quick meal. Very satisfied overall.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They accommodated our requests courteously and efficiently. There is a pool table and other things for children in the waiting area. The kitchen is well-stocked (but needs roasting pans). The cottage was clean and in good condition.

The playground needs some work. We'd like to stay again, so I hope it improves.

Fantastic amenities and facilities. Cottages had great amenities and were cozy. The grounds were fantastic and had a range of activities on offer.

Still renovating parts so there was mess around particularly in the reception area(will look amazing when finished). Room was still not ready for us at check in which was very disappointing we had to wait 30mins longer.

Location was great, easy access to cottage. Parking right beside the door was great.

Room was so gross! Pee on the toilet and behind on the wall. Was not cleaned! The smallest bed was not in the frame due to it sitting on a base board heater. We had to lift the mattress back onto the frame on order to use the bed. The room was listen as a pet friendly room, not dog friendly. We had completely checked in and I told them that we had cats, we were then told the cats were not allowed to leave their kennels. The stove was broken, and the sink and dish soap were covered in food.

The location was convenient for us and the surroundings beautiful. We enjoyed all the trees on the property and being able to walk to a scenic pond and trail. The layout of the cabin was just what we needed with two bedrooms, a bathroom (the sink outside the bathroom was convenient for four people), a kitchen and a table that seats four comfortably. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The check-in process was smooth and I appreciated the verification call on day of check-in.

Although the entire cabin looked thoroughly cleaned, the dishes were not clean (glasses were dirty and bits of food on pans) so we used the paper products we brought instead. This is inconsiderate of previous guests but should be checked by cleaning staff as well. The stove looked old and rusty. The hot water heater was very loud but located so that it did not bother us while sleeping. The only reason I would not return is that there was visible black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. You could smell it in the bedroom next door as well. We did not want to spend much time in the bathroom so none of us felt comfortable using the shower. I did appreciate the interest and concern when I mentioned this at time of check-out. I think the place has potential but needs more maintenance.

The cottages were very spacious and were exactly how it was mentioned on the listing Staffs were very polite and helpful. Would highly recommend this place. They have a lot of other facilities too though we were not able to enjoy de to time constraints but would definitely be back.

Need some maintenance for few cottages

Good quiet spot to break up a long road trip.

After a long drive from Timmins, I was greeted with such a great smile, and it was an easy check-in. Beautiful little spot to stay. It’s wonderful that you can have animals stay as well.

some people need to not let their dogs bark constantly at 2 AM. That’s not the fault of the staff, but the people that stay there.

Delay in getting the lock changed (which was due to previous guest taking key with them) - it took very little time to do but we had to wait until the person arrived to do it which meant we didn't have time to take a walk on the hiking trails.

I loved the photos online. I like the area, as it is beautifully set in the woods.

The cabin had an overwhelming smell of pinesol It gave me a headache. The cabin was tidy, but not overly clean. There were a lot of dirty hand marks on light switches. I think for the pice I paid/night, it could have been cleaner.

Great spot to stay, halfway to Thunder Bay from Toronto. Comfy cabin, and a wonderful pool with sauna after a long day's drive.

Friend and I stayed here for 2 nights. We had a choice between a motel in the city or Glenview Cottages. Cottage was clean with one bedroom and a pull-out couch in the living room. I think the property is just right for max 3 people . I've requested an extra blanket, which was delivered promptly. There is a landline phone inside each cottage, which you can use to call front desk or make local calls. There is a good size swimming pool, which I didn't have time to use. Cute laundry room, with 1 washer and drier. They cost $1.50 each. Since we are hikers, we walked their well maintained trails. Remember Big Pine. Cottages are available year round. Staff were great and always maintaining something. There's a small gift shop at the 'club house' for purchasing small items. Beds and pull out couch were really comfortable .

A bit rustic and outdated for those used to 5 star hotels. No beach near by. 10 minutes drive South to Sault. We've travelled to grocery store for cooking supplies. Wal Mart is your best bet for one stop shopping. Also, there was a solid traffic northbound on Trans Highway due to construction.

Location was great, and the size of the cottage was perfect.

The bed was very uncomfortable for me, but it might just be a preference thing. It wouldn’t stop me from staying here again but I would probably sleep on the sofa instead.

Cottage was a nice size for the 4 of us. Location was perfect. We'll lit at night. When you had an issue staff were quick to resolve and friendly. Great trails to walk.

Not that I didn't like, but just a few suggestions. The cottage could use a little paint and sprucing up along with a new stove. Maybe create an accessible cottage or put bars in the tub and by the toilets.

Cabin was in fairly good condition. Duct tape keeping some floor boards down. Excellent location for our stay and close to nature

Dated. I booked after long day on motorcycle. Hot tub was not working!! Sauna was working, but took forever to heat up and was not clean. Plastic bottles and clothing items under bench. Never used pool. Water on demand in cottages worked but really should be boxed in. They look unsightly. TV is way way too small for size of living room. Looked like a computer monitor but it did work. Hodge podge of cutlery in kitchen. My a/c was particularly noisy but it worked. This place needs some TLC. Understanding the business model of motels and providing what canadian travelers expect is two line items. Hopefully this place improves.

Glenview cottages is our go-to stay when visiting Sault Ste Marie every year. We love the property and the cottages. Staff is super friendly. We always rent a pet friendly cottage so that we can bring our small furry companion. This year, however, we noticed that the windows, doors and walls were not cleaned. There was dog slobber on the windows and dirt on the doors and walls from the previous guests which we ended up cleaning. We would have rated a 5 if it weren’t for that. Everything else was perfect!

We were very pleased with the cabin overall. Unfortunately our stay was brief and we didn't need or use the other amenities, but we found the kitchen well equipped and beds comfortable. It had a homey feel to it.
