The room was completely outdated. Unlike other APA’s, there was no room under the bed to put your luggage causing the room to be impossible to navigate for a traveler. The bathroom being slightly higher than the room caused me to stub my toe many times and made no sense. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. Food was bland cold and gross. Shower head had a bad seal and leaked water all over the bathroom.

Le dimensioni della camera sono davvero piccolissime. Si fa fatica ad aprire la valigia. Se si è in due, lo spazio è davvero troppo piccolo. Lo standard in Giappone della dimensione delle camere è piccola ma questa lo era decisamente troppo a mio avviso

Also super convenient if you’re flying in or out of narita as it’s literally next to the kesei ueno station which has a skyliner stop. Cute restaurant downstairs if you get a breakfast voucher, and
No laundry on site and nearest laundromat is kinda out of the way. many floors but only two elevators so gets crowded at times, also the 2nd floor where the vending machine and ice are located takes a while to get an elevator that goes back up to your floor.

It was centrally located and right next to Ueno station to keep you connected with the rest of Tokyo easily by train. Comfortable bed and great staff, very helpful with shipping my suitcase to our next location. Very close to a 7 eleven and lots of food/shopping.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Das Zimmer ist mit seinen 11 m² zwar wirklich klein, aber dafür sehr clever und effizient eingerichtet. Es fehlt eigentlich an nichts, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in Tokio braucht. 🙂 Die Lage ist meiner Meinung nach ein grosses Plus: Direkt hinter dem Hotel gibt es einen schönen Park, ein 7-Eleven und eine Raucher-Area sind gleich um die Ecke. Die Metro befindet sich praktisch direkt gegenüber und der Bahnhof ist in etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Ebenfalls nur ca. 2 Minuten entfernt liegt eine belebte Strasse mit vielen Restaurants, Bars und Izakayas. 🍜🍻 Auch sonst ist man mit der Metro schnell unterwegs und erreicht die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten und Stadtteile innerhalb von ca. 30 Minuten. 😎 Mein Fazit: Ich würde das Hotel vor allem Leuten empfehlen, die tagsüber viel unterwegs sind und das Zimmer hauptsächlich zum Schlafen, Duschen und Erholen nutzen. Dafür ist es wirklich top! Wer hingegen gerne viel Zeit im Hotel verbringt oder mehr Platz im Zimmer erwartet, sollte sich bewusst sein, dass 11 m² wirklich nicht viel sind. 😅

Our double bed in our double room was uncomfortable and had a large slope on one side. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights.

- The size of the room and bathroom is absolutely a joke. As the average person with 180cm I was not able to fit on the toilet or open 2 luggages at the same time. - Equipment of the hotel is from the 90's. No washing machine is available in this hotel. - Breakfast was totally terrible, I have never seen worse before. What a disgusting restaurant. - Check-in and Check-out is done via a wending machine, so you are not communicating with any staff. Employees on the receptions didn't say even Hello or Good morning. - Wtf is this hotel????

The hotel was literally just across the road from the Keisei Line station so getting there on the airport Skyliner and getting back to the airport was super easy. The busy Ueno restaurant and bar area was just a couple of minutes away, and it was just a short distance further to the Ameyoko-cho market. The main Ueno station and the museums in Ueno Park were likewise close by. My room overlooked the lotus filled lake in Ueno Park, so I could watch people paddling around in the swan boats.
Of course the room was on the small side. But that's Tokyo. Breakfast was marginal. It felt like a mom and pop enterprise. I had the western offerings one morning (not that western tbh with sweet plastic wrapped buns and a weird balance of offerings). The next day I had the Japanese breakfast. Miso, rice, seasonings, grilled salmon. It was better but I got a big mouthful of bones which I would've been alert for if I'd chosen the makeup but didn't expect in a slice of salmon filet.

Ueno Station war sehr nah --> gute Bahnverbindung + Gepäckservice war gut + Personal war sehr nett + Mein verlorenes USB Kabel wurde gefunden und aufbewahrt --> sehr gute Kommunikation über Booking.com mit dem Hotel auf Englisch. Schnelle Rückmeldung erhalten
- Betten waren sehr weich - die Zimmer haben sehr muffig gerochen. Eventuell weil man die Fenster nicht offen kann und das Wetter ist sehr schwül ist. Unsere Kleidung ist immer klamm geworden. Die Klimaanlage ist entweder zu stark und ausgeschaltet ist es viel zu warm im Zimmer. Um die Feuchtigkeit aus den Zimmern rauszuholen, wäre durchgehend eine schwache Klimaanlage auch bei Abwesenheit notwendig gewesen. Keine Klimatisierung im Flur. Das machte das Zimmer sehr warm und muffig. Fazit: Lohnt sich nur für Leute, die mit starker Klimaanlage schlafen können. Wir persönlich würden das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen und auch nicht wieder buchen.

Microwave and dining water fountains, so convenience store good was easy (we got in very late from the airport). Nice bakery in Ueno Station for breakfast.
Check in could have been clearer. It's all automated. We had several rooms booked and it wasn't clear how to check in, but once we figured it out, it was easy.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026객실 내 환기가 잘 되지 않아 습한 기온이 계속 이어짐. 즉, 창문을 열 수 없어 환기를 시킬 수 없음. 이로 인해 자고 일어나면 침구가 눅눅한 느낌이 들고 몸이 무거운 느낌. 상쾌한 느낌이 없음. 무엇보다 객실 밖 복도에서 나는 냄새는 조치를 필요로 함. 물론 다양한 국적의 사람들이 호텔을 이용하고 그들의 몸에서 나는 냄새가 상대적으로 밀페된 공간에 머무를 수밖에 없는 점 이해함. 그럼에도 불구하고 소변냄새 같은 냄새가 복도를 진동하고 있음. 환기가 잘 되도록 조치가 필요함.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026如依交通的便利性真的沒話說，就位於京成上野的側門口，往返機場都相當的便利，會不會再次入住，如果依交通位置考量會，如果依飯店的硬體設備而言，我再三考慮。
APA是每次去日本的首選，但我發現這二次，2025大阪APA，此次東京APA，都讓我有些失望，床的舒適度不好，不是不夠軟，而是床，都已經被睡到塌陷下去，外測及內測的床相差很多，建議是否使用年限已到就應該把床更換新的，而非只是一直使用，不注重硬體設施，雖說也不是什麼高價飯店，做不了太高的要求，但飯店的床應該是基本硬體裝備。

Отель удобно расположен, в номере было чисто и всё необходимое для комфортного проживания было под рукой. Отдельно хочу отметить сотрудников на ресепшене — очень вежливые, внимательные и доброжелательные. Всегда готовы помочь и ответить на любые вопросы, благодаря чему чувствуешь себя действительно комфортно. В целом остались только положительные впечатления. Если снова буду в Токио, с удовольствием остановлюсь здесь ещё раз. Большое спасибо всему персоналу за гостеприимство!

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Biggest thing was the staff, everyone had a smile and was willing to help someone who knew little Japanese. The room was a bit small but comfortable, bare minimalist. The location was great, right next to a major train hub so was able to navigate the city pretty easy.
I didn’t like the bathroom layout, the toilet sat too close to the wall, had to sit at an awkward angle to use the bathroom.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Fantastic location for touring all of Tokyo with Ueno station right across the street. The rooms were clean. The staff are great. Price was great.
The rooms are very,very small and the beds were too short to put luggage under ( so we stumbled around and on the bags all week). No closet or drawers either..so no options for where to put your clothes.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026L’unica cosa positiva è la posizione: a due passi dalla stazione dello skyliner per Narita e la vicinanza a molte linee metro ed al mercato di Ueno.
La stanza è estremamente piccola. Abbiamo soggiornato in altre 4 strutture prima di queste e mai abbiamo avuto difficoltà di movimento come questa volta. La pulizia e l’odore della stanza lasciano a desiderare, c’è anche odore di fumo nonostante sia ben esplicitato il divieto di fumare in camera. Letto scomodissimo, materasso e cuscini da ostello più che da hotel. Staff che tratta il cliente in catena di montaggio e lontano dallo standard Giapponese. Lavandino del bagno di dimensioni ridicole. Condizionatore rumoroso.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Je stapt het treinstation uit, steekt de weg over en het hotel ligt gelijk voor je. Wij vonden het een lekker bed en hadden een goede douche. De kamers zijn niet groot maar dat is nergens in Tokyo. Wij gingen voor de locatie, op loopafstand van het station, winkels, diverse metro's en het park. Indien je zware koffers hebt moet je eigenlijk aan de verkeerde zijde, via de roltrap het station verlaten. Ga direct rechts af en volg het trottoir dan loop je een klein stukje om maar het scheelt je een trap op met bagage.
Ik zou niet zo snel iets weten te benoemen.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026- the location is exceptional. We always stay here whenever we come to Tokyo and have to take Keisei Skyliner. - the staff are always so helpful and they speak English well - the micro fine bubble shower was the best!! Very comfy. I would love to come back again just for it.
- it was quite dusty and it was not good for my allergies especially the curtains. You can obviously see all the dust flying around even you slightly touch the curtains.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Geweldige ligging kort bij Ueno station en ingang Keisei aan de overkant van de straat. Zeer makkelijk als je met de Skyliner van de luchthaven komt, of naar de luchthaven gaat. Verder heel dicht bij Ueno vibe. Kamers zijn klein, heel klein, wij hadden 2x2p kamer en reizen met 2 volwassenen en 2 tiener van 15 en 16. Gelukkig maar 2 grote koffers voor ons 4, want er is met wat moeite plaats voor 1 koffer. Dus voor ons prima. Groot comfy dubbel bed. Waterkoker, koffie en thee, kleine koelkast. Wij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt in het hotel. Wij gingen naar een konbini voor wat lekkers en aten dat op de kamer. Voor ons prijs/kwaliteit een prima hotel.
Het wordt op voorhand wel gemeld, maar het is ´s morgens en ´s avonds best even wachten op een lift. Bij ons viel dat goed mee, behalve de ochtend van de check out. Dan hebben we 25 minuten´ moeten wachten.

The AC in the room was broken, the bed was so uncomfortable that my back hurt all the time as the mattress is super old and completely bumpy and you just fall into it. The room is tiny.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026I book here mainly because its close to Ueno Park and Keisei-Ueno station, which means i won't have to walk much for my last day in Tokyo to go to Narita. The station is basically right in front of the hotel that also houses a matsukiyo and famima for your daily needs.
The AC in the room took a while to get started, beside that everything meets my expectation.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Location, Location, Location!!! This hotel is spot on with its location. You exit from Ueno station and it is literally across the street. The number of things to do in the immediate vicinity: Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, shopping, too many places to eat at, Cat Cafe, park across the street (on top of the subway station) had singing and food trucks on it (when we were there). Ueno is one of Tokyo's heartbeat places and this hotel is right in the action. Saying that, we were facing the park but could not hear the music or the noise (5th floor). A special shout out to one of the the employees at the hotel. His name is Saito (works at the front desk) and such a helpful, warm, gentlemanly person. I don't know if he gets time off as I saw him working basically whenever we went by the front desk. Very helpful and management should know about him and his dedication.
I wish there were stairs one could use instead of just waiting for the elevator. At times, the elevator can be crowded and one has to wait. There should be the option of taking the stairs without triggering the evacuation alarm.
