Reviewed Sep 19, 2026It was close to town which was convenient for us
We found it very noisy although we may have been unlucky with guests moving about noisily late at night and then early in the morning.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Warmly greeted on arrival. The room was very clean and well laid out with an excellent information folder. The bathroom was recently refurbished as a wet room, the shower was great Being able to walk out to the lakeside and the town centre made the motel excellent value for money. We have stayed here before, and will again..

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026This applies to the lake view room. Perfect view at the front of the house. Lovely big windows with balcony. Nice and clean, close to town. If I return to Taupo this will be my first choice if available. The people were friendly and it was a pleasure to stay there.
The outside light remains on all night, minor detail but you did ask. I like to sleep with the blinds open.

The lake view depends on the room, ours was at the far end on the upper floor, so we didn't get a good view. The rooms have no lampshade.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026My wife and I stayed for just one night. The motel is well located to the town’s restaurants and shops and of course the lake is right opposite. The room is well appointed with all you need and very clean and modern. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was a welcome surprise and the shower and bathroom products were excellent. Also the fresh milk and friendly welcome on arrival were appreciated.
A lake view from our room would have been nice but I appreciate not all rooms can have this.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Well located property near town centre. We had stayed there a week earlier in a different room and rated it excellent. This time we made a last minute booking and had a much less desirable room which was disappointing.
Small unit at back with no sun, no cell reception and a few minor maintenance issues, but priced only $17 less than the excellent room we experienced before. We accept we got the last room available with a late booking on a busy weekend. OK for an overnight stay.
