Beautiful Rustic hotel surrounded by pine trees and only 20 minute drive to South Gate entrance to Yosemite Park!

They need to add a small refrigerator to the rooms. Also breakfast needs to be better. They should offer hot breakfast like scrambles eggs & waffles.

The location was perfect, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was clean overall and very easy to access. Despite a few issues with the amenities and services, we were happy with our stay overall.

The room service was essentially nonexistent, and there was no housekeeping or cleaning unless specifically requested. The room also had no refrigerator, and the TV was very small. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was extremely poor and unreliable. Overall, the lack of basic amenities and services was a little challenging for the price of the facility.

Th property is located near to the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. It’s an older building but it is very well kept. The free breakfast was very good. The coffee was great. The personnel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property is privately owned.

We were satisfied with all facets of our stay. If we come back to the south entrance of Yosemite we will definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff. Great vibes to relax on the lobby area which includes board games, piano, among other things. Breakfast had granola which was so yummy. Property is so pretty and perfectly located for people visiting Yosemite.

Everything on the breakfast menu were served cold - even boiled eggs. And there was no actual cooked meal like bacon or sausage which you expect on a regular breakfast. The pullout couch-bed on the queen suite was not very comfortable as it formed a curve near the center.

Lovely hotel with easy access to Yosemite. The hotel and grounds are very well kept, and we loved the atmosphere. On the first day we saw an eagle and deer. We also loved sitting by the firepit outside and doing smores. You can buy smores packets at the hotel reception.

Me encantó, muy lindo

Me and my wife stayed here as we were exploring the Yosemite valley for our honeymoon, Adam Bills the General Manager made us feel especially welcome. The overall atmosphere of the lodge is just amazing, they have awesome decorations that make you feel like you are in a movie. Our room was very clean, the shower was amazing, we loved the bathtub, and we had plenty of amenities to make us feel right at home. The breakfast was good- they have a little station to make yourself toast, serve cereal, hard boiled eggs, muffins, and fruit. But best of all, they have hot coffee, tea, and fresh cucumber water for you to drink as you please.

I was expecting the breakfast to be more of a traditional bacon, eggs, and toast style breakfast but what they have is great either way. Not exactly a deal breaker by any means, this was a phenomenal stay. I would highly recommend.

The atmosphere

Everything was great

Beautiful rustic historical hotel just 20 minutes from Southgate. However they no longer have a restaurant which was a big disappointment. They are planning to reopen it next year. That would make me come back again.

breakfast & coffee needs improvement!

Pros: Peaceful Location, nice view from the room, great staff, pool was nice. They will build more around the property. Cons: Two hours round trip to Yosemite Valley. But if one is only spending one day there it works perfectly. You can hear everything if your room is in the ground floor. I didn’t call 12 midnight to complain but my husband called on the upstairs guests and finally it stopped. I didn’t call mentioned to the front desk and they were very helpful to help and suggested to call them if it happened again. Second night was much better. Breakfast very minimal but friendly and kid waitress. Coffee can be stronger : )

The design of the hotel and the nature around us

Didn’t like ants, the cheap breakfast for the amount we paid to stay, or thin walls and creeks coming from upstairs 24/7

La chambre pour 4 trop petite et le petit déjeuner nous a semblé assez léger, avec peu de choix proposés.

Location. So very beautiful. Pool looked great - too cold for me. Breakfast the best I've ever had. They had real plates/ glasses/ silverware and staff came to table to ask what else we would want. Great presentation too. Great balcony.

Could hear others talking through bathroom wall. Once I closed bathroom door it improved.

Darling ambiance, super great and helpful staff, comfortable room. Would definitely stay again.

Die Zimmernachbarn die meinten früh um 5 Uhr den Fernseher auf volle Lautstärke einzustellen und diesen dann noch mit eigener Unterhaltung übertönen zu müssen. Andere Gäste die mit dem Auto auf dem Parkplatz meinten im Schotter driften zu müssen und dabei Staub und Steinschlag verursachten.

Ubicación excelente: cerca de Oakhurst y de la entrada sur de Yosemite. Entorno tranquilo y muy cuidado. Desayuno bastante completo. Habitación limpia y cama muy cómoda y amplia.

Almohadas un poco duras

Staff was extremely warm and welcoming upon arrival. Location was good and not too far from Yosemite and close to town as far as picking up any needed essentials. Very charming grounds and unique place to stay, loved the semi private French doors leading out to the wrap around deck off our room. Spacious parking lot, but it is entirely gravel. There is another entrance in the back near the ice machine that you are able to pull up to unload if need be, although I don’t recall seeing a ramp. There is a ramp out front getting to the actual building, but again stairs from the parking lot so may be tricky for wheelchairs or strollers. Had a fire pit at night with s’mores but we missed that. Overall we really enjoyed our 2 night stay!

No microwave or fridge in rooms which kinda sucked, however there was 1 microwave out in common area for use. I did read later in comments that items could possibly be stored in main fridge if u asked staff. We did make do with our own makeshift cooler using the ice bucket provided in room. Room was also very tight. Not a lot of room to move around with all your luggage and such.

The front desk staff member, Marcela , was not particularly helpful. I expressed my concerns about the room, and she suggested that I speak with the General Manager. I requested access to the kitchen since there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room to warm my food, but she again advised me to consult with the General Manager, which I found to be unprofessional and disrespectful.

The absence of a microwave, refrigerator, and table in the room was quite disappointing during our stay. To use a microwave, guests must rely on the hotel’s shared microwave, which is not ideal.

Property is truly great, cottage style. Rooms are comfortable, staff is friendly and attentive

Great location, different than hotels & AirBnbs we had stayed in, beds were so comfy, pool was awesome, hanging lights, bonfire with s’mores and Gwen at the front desk is a jewel😊
