Kakishibu an Machiya House

El diseño de la casa, la tranquilidad del barrio pero a la vez muy cerca de avenida principal para poder cenar y hacer compras, cerca de parada de metro. Los futones japoneses para dormir muy cómodos (ni comparación con otros que probamos en otro hotel). Éramos una familia con 3 niños y estuvimos muy cómodos, los niños durmieron en el piso de arriba con mucho espacio, y adultos abajo en futones. El baño muy cómodo, bastante amplio. El diseño japonés de 10.

Esperaba que el aseo de planta superior tuviera inodoro, pero era solo para aseo con lavabo y un taburete. Ser 5 en una casa con un solo inodoro a veces va justo, sobre todo cuando acabas de volver de una excursión.

赤ちゃん連れだったので、貸し切りの安心感、布団が充分に用意されていることが良かった。 洗濯機、物干し、洗剤が揃っていて大変助かった。 チェックアウト後のお掃除の方も大変親切な方だった。

2階のトイレなのかわからないけど、鍵がかかっていて入れない部屋があった。 ここがトイレなら便利だなぁと思った。

I had to bend down to walk into the kitchen and bathroom due to the lower entryways.

This property gives you a great ryokan experience. I truly loved all the décor—the simplicity, yet at the same time the elegance and beauty. It was a very comfortable place for my family of five. I really enjoyed the stay, even though we could only spend one day in Kyoto, but it was extraordinary. The customer service support was fantastic. They allowed us to leave our luggage at 11 a.m. before check-in, and they also let us keep our bags there after check-out for about four hours. They are very attentive and respond to messages very quickly, even though customer service ends at 7 p.m.; they are always aware and ready to help you. We were very happy with the experience

Check in separato un po’ scomodo ma niente di che!!

The Machiya house was very beautiful and well equipped. The location was great for sightseeing in Kyoto. The check in and check out process was fairly easy as the staff were very kind and helpful.

The house was generally clean but there were some areas where there were small spiders around. The bath area was beautiful but it did appear to have some areas that could have been cleaner behind the sink and on some of the shower boards.

It was not easy to leave bags for the day if you showed up early or wanted to stay after check out. You would have had to take them back to the reception office by the station

We loved our stay at Kakishibu an Machiya House. Wished we had stayed longer. The location is perfect, a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. The house set up worked well, adults upstairs and kids downstairs on futons. Washing machine was used and worked well, loved the drip coffee pot and included coffee and tea.

Traditional Japanese house very comfortable . Location is good . In the house you have all that you need for perfect stay include wash machine, good batch room We have enjoined it very much !!!

Really beautiful japanese house in a very small alley in a family neighbourhood in.the center of Kyoto. Good airco, great staff.

The location is great. Easy walk to downtown Kyoto. The house gave a different experience from hotels in a more traditional house. We enjoyed the authenticity of a traditional Japanese house. The decor and garden was very peaceful and it felt comfortable to come back here after a day of sightseeing. The facilities were great and futons comfortable. The staff at Machiya check in were really helpful. Great customer service.

Doorways are low and my husband at 6ft3 had to duck. It didn’t stop us enjoying the property. We were there in a very hot July and the aircon upstairs was sufficient for keeping the two permanent beds cool but the upstairs futon area was hot. We put the additional futons downstairs as aircon worked well downstairs

The location is great. Beautiful house and comfortable futons and beds.

The bathroom ventilation was not that great. The bathroom looked a bit older than the pictures. The check-in location is in the different location where we need to travel around 15 mins more after the check-in However, they offered free luggage delivery if you go to the check-desk between 10am-3pm

Great central location, and lovely to stay in a traditional house as something different from the hotels on the rest of the trip. The reception office was a short walk to the station for checking in.

great location, very clean and helpful staff

pillows were a little uncomfortable and if you are tall you can hit your head on lower doorways, staircase is very steep and narrow to go upstairs
