The room was somewhat small compared to other bed and breakfasts we have stayed in - felt cranmped. Hardly any room around bottom of bed. Disappointed that the pub opposite had been closed for 2 years - by signage, it looked like it was once under the same ownership as The Old Coach House

Location was beautiful and the facilities were of a high standard. Very clean room and en suite. All the staff we met were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and a good range to choose from.

Next time we will book a bigger room as ours was a little small to navigate round the bed and I kept bumping my knees on the solid oak bed frame despite being told about this!!

This place is fabulous. A lot of thought has gone into making it a luxury stay at everyday prices. Great business model. We were very impressed and would stay again. Lovely ambiance, great fellow guests and great fun.

The location was very nice , offering a beautiful setting that greatly enhanced our stay. The accommodation was clean,, well maintained, and comfortable. The staff were attentive, courteous, and genuinely warm and welcoming, making us feel valued from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable, with a delightful selection to start the day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone seeking a memorable and relaxing stay.We even got a free upgrade which was very kind .

The only down side was the Internet which is not a criticism but an area perhaps to be aware of if you go there to relax and watch television or go on your phone once you return after a busy day exploring or walking .This was highlighted to us on arrival .This dropped out every few seconds and prevented us watching television (World Cup game) or going on our phones to peruse the Internet. Also making phone calls was very difficult due to the signal

Very quaint old coach house well situated in a small village. Breakfast was exceptional, as good as I've had for a long while.

The room was small but clean. The pillows were to hard and found it difficult to sleep. As a guide use one soft pillow on top of one hard pillow, then you can choose which one you want to lay your head on.

The breakfast is 'booked' a sheet the evening before so that all is cooked to perfection for the timed arrival. Excellent system. There are cold options too. The bed was very comfortable and the room serviced every day. As is usual, the towels in the bathroom were left if on the rack to indicate re-use - on the floor if needed changing. A very well-refurbished older building so cool in summer - but with an electric fan if needed...

There were no problems at all. One thing to note is that it is about 3 miles from Ripon itself and it is perfect Ben and Breakfast. Evening meal venues neearby(ish).

Wonderful little hideaway, but close enough to Ripon to explore in town. It was a very peaceful place to stay and the breakfasts were amazing! Also very close to lightwater valley if you want something different. 10/10

Shame the pub over the road is no longer open but we found one a little further down the road in West Tanfield called the Bull Inn that was lovely.

Josie, the General Manager looked after my wife and I in an extremely friendly and efficient manner with nothing being too much trouble for her. Our room was comfy and well appointed with an ample and comfortable bed. Breakfast was speedily delivered and of excellent quality. We couldn't, have asked for more. Will certainly stay again when visiting this lovely and interesting part of Yorkshire.

Lovely people running a fantastic B&B in a beautiful location. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable with a wet room style bathroom. Breakfast was excellent got to pick from menu and timing the night before and everything was served within 5 minutes of arriving in the breakfast room. Hosts were super helpful popped out and greeted us as we arrived, helped with local taxi's ensuring we were connected to the wifi etc. really was a very pleasant environment.

Beautiful quiet village; walk down to the village ponds to see the goslings. Great rooms with lovely courtyard. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast. A short drive into Ripon to see the cathedral and good eve meal at The Bruce Arms 5min drive away.

The entire stay was beautiful. The property is beautiful and In a perfect location. Simple check in and one of the best breakfasts we have had on our many travels. We will be back.

Room was a great size and tastefully decorated with comfortable bed and armchairs. Fresh flowers and fruit plate on arrival. Breakfast was delicious on both days, with lots of choice. Check in and check out was really easy. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and will visit again!

Our room was slightly cramped.

The Old Coach House is a beautiful building full of characters, clean, tidy and tranquil. We loved the fountain situated in the front reception garden near our room which was beautifully manicured.

The rooms were beautiful, the shower with grab rails was great for my husband as he has a spinal injury and find it difficult to get in and out of a shower. The bed was lovely and comfortable. We didn’t need any heating because it was lovely and warm. We had a full English breakfast and it was lovely to hear that all food was locally sourced.

This is an amazing little hidden gem! We booked last minute so were led by other's reviews and we weren't disappointed. Gorgeous room that included everything you could need (including a fridge) and local amenities only a 10 minute drive away. Beautiful and ample breakfast options and the host made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning for another stay in the future.

A very warm welcome and wonderful staff at the Coach House made up for some short comings with the accommodation. Comfortable if basic room, small dated bathroom - disappointed that our bed was next to a boiler- which thankfully cut off at 10.30pm - but if you had wanted an early night and are a light sleeper ( like myself ) was not what you would want when you paid for an upgraded room. Breakfast very good in a separate building to the main accommodation. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Lovely little b&b tucked away at the end of a quiet village. Our room was very cosy with duel aspect windows and a nice comfy bed. Really quiet and perfect for our one night stay as we were visiting Fountains Abbey the following morning. Breakfast was pre-selected the night before and served in a separately converted outbuilding within the small courtyard. Staff were extremely friendly and service was excellent. Very tasty and plenty of choice. We'll certainly be returning soon.

Beautiful location, cosy room with plenty of refreshments, lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Staff welcoming and Josie was very attentive and sorted out a couple of requests straight away. Delicious breakfast on both mornings and catered for individual dietary requirements.

The shape of the room led to me bumping my knee on the corner of the wooden bed frame more than once 🙄!
