An excellent setting with lovely staff and outstanding food. In addition, it is very dog friendly.
Would have been nice to have a lock on the bathroom door. Also, if they run out of something, like a specific bread it would be better to ask the customer what they would like in its place.
The rooms were large and very comfortable. The spa was nice for a short break and very clean and well maintained. Grounds and setting were very nice. Food was all nicely presented and well prepared with a small but good menu. Would stay again.
There are some small areas for improvement.. - vegans need protein too. We stayed for two dinners and one lunch and, while the food was nice, there was a lack of protein. (beans, tofu). - vegan and vegetarian options lacked variety - with only one option available for vegans. - while I dont expect a Saunameister to patrol the facilities there was a worrying lack of sauna etiquette with people drinking and applying cream in the sauna - which polutes the air and defeats the main purpose of the sauna. - the gym is rather small - though fine for a short stay
The staff were outstanding very polite and helpful. The surrounding grounds were amazing and the games rooms and facilities excellent. The food standard wes wonderful both Breakfast and dinner. The Spa facility was good with two pools to choose from.
Our room was terribly noisy with a generator on all the time even at night. it was near the kitchen area and we could hear regular dumping of bottles and other things to the bins and we would not stay in that area again. Also because the room is right next to the hotel and there is no double glazing we could hear every conversation as people walked by.I felt the Spa area woodwork is badly deteriating and looked like it needed a bit of presevative as very soon will be beyond repair. It didnt look safe on the balcony area!! The room could do with better lighting as it seemed very dark with all the lighting against one wall.
Lovely surroundings, pools and spa area were a delight on a sunny day. Dining was lovely, and food was fabulous.
Bed very uncomfortable to be honest, As this was a special occasion, it was a little disappointing, but having said that, the staff and surroundings more than made up for it.
The grounds and the rooms where great
The spa treatments where not good, the jacuzzi x2 both. Or working paid a very high amount for treatment to have to lay on a waterbed, was not good at all treatment it’s self was not great, but very polite
Exceptional! The approach to the accommodation is beautiful. The Hotel itself is something from a fairytale - you're instantly transported to a by-gone era. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and was fresh & clean with everything we required. The staff were attentive and professional finding the balance of leaving you to enjoy the peace, whilst also actively seeking you out to check you're catered for no matter where you decide to sit within the hotel grounds. The communication from the Reception team prior to arrival was also fantastic. The spa was inviting, non-pretentious and clean with comfortable footwear, towels and robes provided. Really couldn't ask for more!
The shower was exceptionally slow to drain, taking only a minute or two to completely fill the tray to overflowing. It meant the shower needed to be switched off every 30 seconds to allow to drain before proceeding. The sink was also similar, running the tap for a couple of seconds resulted in a full-ish sink that then took a minute or so to drain.
Good facilities, great food and drinks.
Limited internal seating, when none residential functions on site. Children usage of spa to restricted.
Good food, excellent room.
Children use of the spa/ swimming pool area to restricted.
Pretty grounds
Not well maintained
Archie, the peacock. The grounds, the spa looked good although we did not use it.The staff were exemplary. The exterior of the building. The breakfast.
The hotel is dangerously dark inside to the point my husband used a torch to reach room(Weftlowe)and to open door.It is too expensive. We stayed at The Hillton,Park Lane, in AprilI paid half of the cost of this hotel. We stayed(we were upgraded)in a suite..the food at The Hilton as at The Landmark and The Brasserie of Light is about two thirds of the price at Baliffscourt. The wardrobe door in the room did not close,we rescued 2 large insects in the room(put them out of the window)The window surrounds are rotting(my husband designed Terminal 3 at Heathrow as well as hotels in London!)The bed was too small...we are not that big.The beverages are under par(coffee at breakfast.tea bags ,coffee bags in room)
Excellent team great restaurants service first class Paul Taylor
Amazing but no shaving mirror, could do with more space for hanging clothes for dinner ladies please
Relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and great staff who couldn’t be more friendly and helpful!
Nothing
The outdoor pool was divine, excellent dinner and delicious breakfast.
beautiful setting laid back atmosphere
Fantastic location atmosphere and facilities. Our room was palatial. The history behind this hotel is amazing and the blend of old and new is phenomenal. The staff could not have been more professional and welcoming at both the spa and hotel.
Lovely venue Spa facilities Good breakfast
reception staff lovely, SPA was great, it was sunny so we used the pool etc. Room was fantastic . Dinner and drinks staff great.
Food was average for the price, dinner the starter and desert were great but mains were poor for that price. Breakfast - was okay, would have preferred more choice of hot food like hashbrowns and nice bread / bagels. One staff at breakfast were very rude to us and shouted at us, so we left with a bad impression of the hotel. We were eating in the court yard and went inside to the buffet for a croissant (only gone 2 mins) and she had cleared our table. Then shouted at us for sitting back down, that she needed the table as people were waiting. it was very disrespectful and horrifying to be yelled out, the whole court yard went silent.
Charming buildings in spacious grounds
The bedroom (Yeoman) was exceptionally small for 2 people and very hot as it overlooked the courtyard and there was no breeze. It was verging on claustrophobic. I have previously stayed there and had a really nice spacious room. This was very disappointing.
De sfeer en het prachtig gebouw en het leuke binnenplaatsje
Everything
Would like to have been able to use the facilities a bit longer
The food, facilities and staff
The room was a bit hot (v small window!) but they did leave us a fan which helped.
The spa indoor and outdoor pools were delightful
A fridge in the bedroom would have been nice
Staff were exceptional professional and friendly Food was fantastic We were very lucky with the weather and had both dinner and breakfast in the courtyard Hotel itself was magical and a very special place to celebrate my husbands birthday
Nothing
Absolutely beautiful place.
Beautiful hotel and garden with lovely pools and great food
More toilets at spa
Lage direkt am Meer.
The hotel has real character and the staff were very friendly. Dinner was excellent and felt like good value with a good choice on the menu.
Nothing
It’s a beautiful property set in fantastic grounds. Comfortable and cosy with friendly staff. Quaint but lovely and quiet and just a lovely place to stay.
The bedroom was a bit hot during this latest heatwave despite the table fan.
Service and the spa Having bath and shower options in the spacious bathroom. The room decor
The room was extremely hot (not that Bailiffscourt can control the weather). There was a fan but sadly it did not cool the bed area just the sitting area in front of the bed. Not having a fridge in the room.
Outstanding location; so idyllic and peaceful. The hotel buildings are out of this world. So characterful and cosy. All the staff were really pleasant and helpful and we absolutely loved our stay here.
Situated in lovely grounds. Staff were very helpful particularly in the restaurant with dietary requirements. Lovely courtyard to eat meals.
It states you are able to use the facilities until your room is ready. Unfortunately we were not able to go into the spa area until 3pm on arrival day which was very disappointing. Lovely outside pool area but staff said there were too many spa members using it.
Everything… Beautiful grounds, lovely accommodations & public areas. First class service and friendly professional staff throughout the estate. Excellent spa, indoor/outdoor pools
Nothing
Dinner was fine.
Bedroom, Although supposed to be ancient, was a bit too antiquated.
Loved the whole layout. The room was excellent too. Food and service sublime
Nothing
The buildings and grounds and the unspoilt coast.Very peaceful.
Great location.Close to the beach but you didn’t have to leave the property. The Spa and pool were great and the staff couldn’t do more for you
Easy to get to and the grounds were great
The location, the staff, the room, the outdoor pool, the food and the massage.
Location, grounds, bedroom, eating areas.
Spa changing room very small with just one female lavatory. No parasols by outdoor pool. Spa food and drink very over priced.
Beautiful property with amazing grounds, fantastic facilities and great food!
The staff were not that friendly and helpful, and we don’t feel like we were treated as we should have been for the price we paid. There were a couple of incidents in which this played out that disappointed us.
Stunning buildings in a beautiful setting near to a delightful beach. Relaxing pool and a lovely breakfast.
Lovely location and excellent facilities. All very relaxing and staff were attentive.
Room was spacious but at this price you would expect a very high end experience. It was nice, the bathroom was good, but overall quite ordinary decor and facilities.
There is nothing about Bailiffscourt not to like. The rooms are perfect in every way. Every need is catered for. The staff are fantastic. Warm and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The spa is amazing. Treatments are exceptional. The grounds of Bailiffscourt are beautiful. Fantastic to walk around it just sit and admire. Finally the food. Wow. Every dish cooked to perfection. Loved it so much we are going back next month.
Beautiful scenery, food fabulous & staff Friendly & helpful
Stunning setting with good access to the beach. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Fab bathroom and shower - good facilities. Reception staff very helpful and happy
The breakfast was very disappointing, especially considering the price charged. The selection was extremely limited and felt very basic. Fresh orange juice had run out by 9:30am, and when I asked for some, I was given a small bottle from the bar instead. My husband's poached eggs were overcooked and rock solid, and my fried egg was similarly overcooked. The cooked breakfast consisted of just one sausage, one piece of bacon and one tomato, which felt poor value and gave the impression of a very low-quality offering. We also ordered gluten-free toast, which only arrived after we had asked several times. The service throughout breakfast was equally disappointing. Staff rarely smiled and made us feel unwelcome rather than valued guests. The previous day, we sat in the otherwise beautiful gardens for afternoon cocktails. On two occasions I had to get up and find a member of staff in order to place an order. While some guests appeared to receive plenty of attention, others were largely ignored. Overall, both the food quality and the level of service fell well below expectations, particularly given the prices charged and the standard we expected from the venue.
We loved all of it!
It was perfect. Even the weather was on our side.
Grounds were amazing as was the food dinner was excellent, Chris the manager and reception team were super friendly.
Overall loved our stay. The coffee lounge by the pool glasses and area could have been cleaner but we had a lovely stay
Lots of character, nice staff
Nothing
The whole building was gorgeous and quaint, everything was perfect and love all the outdoor and indoor games on offer
It wasn’t worth what we paid. The staff weren’t very friendly. The spa was a rip off and the gym was tiny. I thought a processor on arrival for free or something would be included in the price we paid
Staff and resort fantastic.
Pub had live music - noisy and uncomfortable
Great service, friendly staff, excellent location, spacious rooms, delicious food! I will definitely visit again.
No internet signal, and their wifi weak
Absolutely perfect
It’s very unique
The rooms are getting a tired
It was delightfully quaint and eccentric and the staff were lovely
My room was quite small - 2 people in it might have been challenged. Also lack of storage space. No AC but then it was exceptionally hot🥵! The outdoor pool didn’t have steps -only a ladder - which is difficult for the elderly.
Staff were very attentative, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very tasty. Value for money, you really do get a five star plus!
Absolutely nothing!
Personal touches and a wonderful location
No fridge in the room
Excellent breakfast. Friendly service. Comfortable, stylish room. Beautiful grounds.
Some noise in the room below during the night. Dinner and drinks were expensive.
Beautiful location, great facilities and staff very welcoming
Nothing!
The food was very good lots of choice, the pet facilities were outstanding we had all meals with our dog in a private lounge wonderful!!
What a beautiful hotel, absolutely stunning. It's totally unique. Wonderful grounds and lovely to be close to the sea. All the facilities and staff were excellent. We didn't want to leave!
Everything was great
Friendly and helpful staff, plenty of Free Parking, Easy walk to the beach, excellent Breakfast.
Our room was on the ground floor, next to the building entrance. This at times made the room at bit 'noisy' from people coming and going and from the room above us.
Beautiful hotel, excellent food , lovely helpful staff
Breakfast was a wonderful full cooked breakfast and buffet. The staff were very helpful.
Beautiful ground, super cosy and very good spa facilities. The food was also very good, and staff were welcoming.
