The property is a little slice of paradise in a crazy neighbourhood! It’s so quiet, clean and calming. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff can not do enough to help you. Mohammed and Abdul went above and beyond for us and we can’t thank them enough

The only criticism was that on the property listing it said there was a rooftop pool but it hadn’t been built yet.

Great staff - fascinating location

Such a lovely Riad and Abdel and Mouad were great hosts. We arrived in the evening and requested dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. Probably in the top 3 meals we had on our 16 day trip. From the friendly conversation to help with planning excursions, Dar Assiya didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend this place. It’s right in the Medina, but so quiet and peaceful once you step inside. Would highly recommend.

During our family trip to Marrakech, we had the pleasure of staying at this beautifully restored Riad, and it was an experience worth sharing. The architecture of the building itself is a stunning representation of Moroccan culture, with intricate tile work, ornate wooden carvings, and a tranquil courtyard that serves as a serene oasis away from the bustling streets outside. The traditional courtyard was a highlight, featuring a small fountain that added to the relaxing ambiance. What truly set our stay apart was the personalized service we received from the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a refreshing mint tea that instantly made us feel at home. The staff (special mention to Mouad, Mohammed and Oussama) went above and beyond to cater to our needs, offering helpful tips on local attractions and dining options, and even arranging guided tours that enhanced our experience in the city. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast prepared with fresh ingredients, and the staff remembered our preferences, which made it feel even more special. Their attention to detail and genuine care for our comfort made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. Overall, our stay at Dar Assiya was a delightful blend of captivating architecture and exceptional service, making it a memorable part of our Marrakech journey. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat after exploring the vibrant markets or seeking personalized recommendations, this property delivers on both fronts.

This is an amazing boutique hotel. From the fabulous staff, to the cleanliness of the whole place and right in the Medina means you are only minutes from all the action of the souks and the main square. And the food - i would say at least one night eat at the hotel because the food is outstanding

We had a wonderful time while we stayed at Dar Assiya. During our time in Morocco, we stayed at 4 or 5 different places and this was our favorite. It was beautiful and the room, food, and staff were all excellent. I’m sorry we didn’t have another night or two there. If we are ever back in Marrakech, we will definitely stay there again.

We had a fabulous stay at this gem of a Riad. The location was perfect for exploring the Medina and also escaping the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The service was exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful and the room was beautiful and equally as comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The property is stunning. It’s located in a central spot in the Medina, very close to great restaurants and the souks. Laurent and his team are incredible…every morning, a beautiful breakfast, wonderful, attentive staff who went above and beyond, every detail carefully thought of to create a perfect stay. It was our first time in Marrakech and Laurent recommended and booked several outings for us, which made the trip so relaxed and easy. Would stay here again and again.

Our Moroccan journey began with 2 perfect nights at Dar Assiya. Laurent had arranged our transportation and Mohamed was waiting at the airport - very friendly and professional and took us into the Medina where our porter was waiting. Very smooth transfer and a 10 minute walk through winding streets to a big wooden door which opened to the oasis that is Dar Assiya! We were welcomed by Mouad, a very friendly and gracious host. After a long flight, the comfort of the Riad was quite welcome with a delicious breakfast and needed coffee. Mouad gave great suggestions and directions to anywhere and anything. They had also prearranged a tour with Ismael who arrived shortly after for a full day in the Medina. He was very professional and a "cut above" others we saw. Before dinner, Mouad happily brought beer and wine to our room along with olives and snacks. An authentic Moroccan dinner in the Riad was delicious with good Moroccan wine. After dinner on the rooftop to finish a bottle of wine was magical. And as much bottled water as we wanted throughout our stay. Our room, the Dueria suite, was very spacious and even nicer than the photos online! The shower appears to have been renovated and was very good! No problem sleeping as the Riad is in a very quiet part of the Medina with high quality bedding and air conditioning. We felt very safe and quickly learned the location in the Medina is great. Not in the hectic middle of everything, but just right! Very easy walk into the "better" parts of the souks than other properties closer to Jema el Fnaa. Dar Assiya is a lovely property, but the staff, especially Mouad and Mohamed, are what make it special. Very much like staying in someone's (very nice) home. We look forward to a return with the rest of our family. Highly recommend!!

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Made our stay exceptional. Everything that you need, they are there for you, always willing to accommodate your needs. Very quiet riad, well decorated, with excellent breakfast served.

Dar Assiya is a fantastic Riad that’s incredibly central and hidden away at the same time. The decor is so beautiful, stunning little touches, comfy beds and delicious food. Mouad and all the team are absolutely delightful - so helpful and friendly and we got loads of help and tips during our stay. The team booked a hot air balloon and a walking tour for us at our request and we couldn’t have been happier with the recommendation and the experience. We will be back !

Beautifully presented, a gorgeous haven in a very energetic city. Immediate peace once behind the front door. Very comfortable rooms, authentically decorated. Breakfast was simply superb, every morning. The team were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Location was perfect for exploring the city. The design of the interiors were particularly lovely and the staff were amazing.

Everything was great. If I had to pick one thing, We were on the ground floor and the sound transfer through the glass was a minor issue. This was more about a couple of the other guests being loud when they came back from an evening out.

Exceptional service and quality of interiors. Breakfast was fantastic and I’d recommend the dinner which was the best we had in Morocco. We used their car service to/from airport and to our second lodgings in the mountains which was excellent. I highly recommend this property to stay in.

We stayed at Dar Assiya for 4 nights and had a really amazing experience. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to help us from organizing cars and tours to walking us home from dinner at night. We felt incredibly safe and at home and were blown away by the quality of service. Dar Assiya itself is beautiful and very clean, our room was spacious and very well maintained. We would stay here again a million times over!!

My sisters, mum and I stayed in the suite and were so pleased with our stay. Even the booking process itself was outstanding, Laurent was responsive and so helpful in arranging our stay and plans for the trip. The staff during our stay were exceptional, from breakfast service to helping us making arrangements, even going as far to chaperone us back from the taxi after a late dinner - thank you! Couldn’t recommend Dar Assiya enough!

Great staff, extremely helpful with many details such as local sim-cards, organization of an english-speaking guide, wonderful breakfast. Although hard to find - a good location in the Medina!

I loved so many things about this property! It was quiet, intimate, and the best location right in the Medina. The decor was so authentically Moroccan and beautiful. The beds were super comfortable, as well as the bath/shower. Osama was our main point of contact while there and he was so polite and knowledgeable and helpful. We had dinner at the Riad our first night and it was so very good, one of our best meals of the trip. We hired the driver service the Riad offered which took us from the airport to the Riad. Once in the Medina a porter greeted us and almost ran through the Medina with our luggage in a wheel barrow, we had to keep pace to keep up with him! My point is they have this down like a well-oiled machine. Everything is planned to perfection. Also, they made up our rooms and beds during the day which was a nice surprise. We stayed in the Toureg Suite which I believe is the only 2 bedroom suite, and was perfect for us and our two teenagers. Some of the showers were luke warm (especially if we each showered right after one another), but that seemed to be everywhere we stayed in Morocco, not just here. Thank you to all the staff at Dar Assiya!

Some of the showers were like warm, but that seemed to be everywhere we stayed not just here.

Fantastic Dar where nothing was too much trouble. The food and hospitality was amazing as were all the staff. The room was just perfect with everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here and it is so convenient for the souls and the main square. We did go on a day trip to the three valleys which was organised by the hotel. Unfortunately we felt we were scammed a little as the driver took us to an Argon Oil women’s co operative. We felt we were put under a huge amount of pressure to buy with very hard core sales tactics and not really knowing how much anything was. Everything went through the till very quickly and the man there distracted us with chatter and didn’t show us how much we had spent before it was too late taking my husbands card. Stupid of us not to check but everything was so rushed. Just be careful if you go there and check what you’re buying and how much you’re spending.

We had such high hopes after seeing this Riad was recognized by Michelin. Unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations. Communication was poor. We had let Laurent know of our plans in advance but at check in it didn’t seem that had all been communicated. We had an early departure and despite asking several people we weren’t able to secure a coffee. The air didn’t work in our room (perhaps user error and I admittedly did not call to have it looked at). The riad is in a small dark alley - if I was alone traveling I would be uncomfortable getting there. Our room on the first floor literally opened into the central courtyard with only glass doors so did not feel private. Our arrivals up was not smooth as we had to hire our own porter to assist with bags.

We have just returned from our trip to Morocco, having spent the last 2 nights at Dar Assiya. The Riad is beautifully appointed and authentic. We loved our room and very comfortable bed. We wanted to enjoy some winter sun and the rooftop terrace was just the place for it. The highlight of our stay was the dinner on the first night, the food was delicious and I would like to thank the cooks for preparing the feast for us. It was one of the best meals we had in Morocco. I would also like to mention the excellent choice of Moroccan wine on offer. Highly recommended.

Lovely small riad (5 rooms only)with beautiful interior. Excellent breakfast and delicious dinner. The room was spacious, comfortable and super clean. The staff helpful and friendly. Riad is located in medina but very easy to navigate to.

Probably not a hotel’s fault, but at some point there was a smell coming from canalisation.

The Riad was in the perfect location, 2 min walk from the Souks. The room was lovely with a little balcony which was perfect for tea. The service was incredible, the staff were really attentive.

I stayed at Dar Assiya for three nights in October 2025 and it was fantastic! This riad is beautifully appointed with attention to detail in the furnishings, service, and meals. The courtyard with it its beautiful reflecting pool is the perfect place to relax after a busy day in Marrakesh. My friend and I felt well cared for and pampered. I highly recommend a stay at this stunning riad!

Best Ryad in Marrakech. Since the last 8 years, this was my 3th time in this amazing place. The employees, the rooms, the atmosphere, the smells and the care with us visitors, is something unique 🙏. I will always return to Dar Assiya.

Inside this riad is a beautiful setting, lovely rooms with very comfy beds and excellent bathrooms. Almost everything is thought about down to a speaker in your room, water, cotton buds, toiletries. Staff are so friendly and very attentive, always smiling and checking we were okay. Nothing is too much trouble to organise ( mountain and desert trips also) and they will happily escort you wherever you need to go. I felt truly looked after. Food is delicious with a very generous breakfast and ability to book for an evening meal, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing to be aware of is It's quite hard to find especially at night. Thankfully the restaurant Slimana is opposite and has a lot of signs and you can follow or you can call the hotel to get you!

It’s quite hard to find especially at night. Thankfully the restaurant Slimana has a lot of signs and you can follow those but some Dar Assiya signs could be helpful. Trips need to be paid in cash. Living in UK,which is pretty much a cashless society, I didn’t realise I would need so much cash. As a closed currency you either change at the airport or an exchange desk in the main square. ATMs can charge a hefty fee (quoted 17€ at one for getting 200€). So would prefer to pay card as an option at the hotel.

I stayed at Dar Assiya in late July and will absolutely be staying there again next time I'm in Marrakesh. The hotel and the rooms were beautiful, and the staff could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is also perfectly located a short walk away from the center of the old city. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fiquei no Riad Dar Assiya há 8 anos atrás e gostei tanto, que voltei o mês passado. O mesmo quarto, o mesmo Riad. É um Riad, lindo, muito calmo, um perfeito oásis dentro da Medina. O pequeno almoço delicioso, feito com muito carinho. Os funcionários muito prestáveis, prontos a ajudarem-nos em qualquer situação. Voltarei a Marrakech e será neste Riad que quero ficar.

We were very happy with Dar Assiya. The property was very nice, the rooms were just as they appear in the pictures and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. After getting dropped off by taxi in the Medina we were a little turned around as the property is hard to find, but when we called in and someone came to find us quickly and walk us back. I also believe that they offer to send someone to meet you at the taxi drop off but we missed it in the email. Additionally, when we asked for help booking tours we were set up with a good local guide for a Marrakech walking tour as well as an excellent driver for a 3 day trip out to Merzouga and Fes. Initially we were deciding on whether to make the desert trip on our own but decided to use the recommended tour company and it was the best decision.

Wonderful Riad! Very authentic and made with great taste. The team serves an artisan breakfast, which is freashly made and delicious. We especially enjoyed waking up with the sounds of birds and later on their comany during the breakfast. The whole team was very helpful, gave us loads of recommendations and advices. Special shout out goes to the guy, unfortunately we don't remember the name, who is doing night shifts. Due to our late arrival we reached the city around 2 am, and he still met us and took us and our luggage to the Riad.
