Some garden to look onto or walk in.. it 's too much to be couped up in one's room only.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2025Location was fine and close to Sandton City as I needed to be. Breakfast was below par. Coffee in the room is cheap Nescafe, One would at least expect a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. They did have one for breakfast, but only one pod was allowed.
No air conditioning. Breakfast was below par. Coffee in the room is cheap Nescafe, One would at least expect a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. They did have one for breakfast, but only one pod was allowed. At the time of booking they did not stipulate that I must be out by 10:00, neither in the email I received or at the time of arrival. The cleaner just opens the door and comes into your room uninvited while you are in the bathroom. The bathroom does not have a toilet brush and the soap dispenser in the shower is broken. The cleaner then throws you out of the room like a dog and comes into the room while you are busy getting dressed and tells you you must get out as she has given you enough time now and starts stripping the bed from linnen while I'm still getting dressed.

Reviewed Feb 14, 2024There was a bit of a miss hap with Booking.com in confirming our booking directly with the guest house, however the owners were exceptional! They immediately made sure there was a room for my parents and did not turn them away. They were very apologetic and even assisted with an additional room as our requirements were separate beds. I cannot wait to bring my parents back and I highly recommend Atholl Guest House.
