She communicated with us on the day of our arrival and was flexible with our check-in time, which made traveling with our one-year-old so much easier. She also provided clear instructions on where to find everything we needed and made sure both we and our little one were well accommodated. The family loft was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. It was cleaned while we were out, the hot water was always available, and we felt right at home throughout our stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and filling—a great way to start each day. The guest house is also easy to find, and even during a power outage, alternative arrangements were made so seamlessly that we were hardly affected. Marley is a kind, thoughtful, and considerate host, and the ladies who work there are just as warm and welcoming. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We will definitely be coming back!

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026The host was super friendly and upgraded us to a larger room. The budget room had the essentials for a short stay. The larger room is more suited to a longer stay. The room had the standard bar type fridge and we were afforded the use of a common area deep freeze for our stay. Being animal lovers we enjoyed the company of the small dogs and beautiful cats. An ideal stop over between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. We will stay again.

The fact that we paid extra, but understand that's how they run their operations. We book two units that takes 8 people. We were charged for addition 3 people. We were inicialy supposed to be 2 udults and 2 kids. Which would fit in one unit with 1 double bed and 2 singles. This left the other unit empty. So we opted to accommodate family 3 udults. We were asked to pay extra for that. The establishment need to re look at their packages. It felt unfair. If we book 5 udults and 2 kids they initial payment was still the same and no extra charge. But we were charged extra.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Dans un immense jardin dans lequel le propriétaire cultive de nombreuses plantes, cette grande maison de plein pied propose 5 ou 6 chambres confortables et très calmes. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais équipées juste avec le nécessaire et sont propres et bien entretenues, la clim et la télé fonctionnent, la salle de bain est petite mais fonctionnelle et propre (mais sans aucun équipement, juste le basic). Pas ou peu de décoration dans les chambres et les parties communes. Seul petit bémol, les chambres sont très sombres. La piscine est assez grande (mais non opérationnelle quand nous sommes passés) Le petit déjeuner servi autour de la piscine est copieux et bon (rien d'exceptionnel). Plusieurs options de restaurants à moins de 5 minutes en voiture. Endroit idéal pour passer 1 nuit avant d'entrée dans le parc Kruger (la porte du Parc est à 5 minutes en voiture).

L'endroit est verdoyant, la cuisine d'extérieur donne envie de cuisiner et de rester attablés toute la soirée. Un magasin SPAR est tout proche, ce qui est très pratique.

The room felt a bit small but for the price it was fine and it was my choice at the end of the day. I will definitely return but next time I will get a bigger room.

Reviewed Jan 13, 2026This is a wonderful place to stay over in Palabora. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We arrived quite late in the evening and were greeted with warm smiles; they even lit a fire for us so that we could braai without having to wait too long. The braai and lapa facilities are very nice and well maintained. The rooms are clean and neat, with well-working air conditioning, which made our stay very comfortable. The hosts truly go out of their way to make guests feel special and at home. We really enjoyed our stay and were treated to a proper breakfast the following morning before we left. I would highly recommend this accommodation. If you want it shortened for platforms with character limits, I can condense it without losing the key points.

Reviewed Dec 27, 2025I like comfortable bed, clean room and nice pool. The kitchen is good even though you share. The yard is beautiful and clean with flowers surrounding the place. The toilets and the showers are clean and nice. I love the stay.
I didn't like when the electricity went off and they didn't have a backup. They don't put bath soap at the showers.
