Nothing it’s an absolute appalling mess. Worst than a hostel. Booking . Com also offered zero support after contacting them several times. Hotel great if want to sleep in filth. Have zero facilities. Broken lift that won’t be fixed. No toilet paper, no clean towels, no clean bedding, asking for the bare minimum from the reception of these, and nothing, wasting my time. Reception guys wearing caps without a care in world. Rude and unfriendly. Hotel room hadn’t been cleaned. Asked for it to be hoovered. Again wasted my time. They don’t care. Never seen a cleaner once in 4 day stay. Halls filthy! Every door black with hand prints. Come back with bed bug bits. Very very unhappy! Room covered in damp and mould! Not acceptable at all. Hallways showing open wires! Stairs carpets split trip hazard. 3 flights of stairs a day to get to room when under physio. Absolutely joke! Stop advertising am the perfect hotel when not even worth 1STAR!!!!

The bed was comfy.

The lift was out of order, I have MS so it was hard getting my cases up. Tea and coffee available but no cutlery to even stir it, couldn't get the tv to work, the shower plug had murky water with floating scum in it so couldn't even have a shower and the walls were so thin you could hear every door that opened, every person that passed the corridor and up the stairs as well as traffic and noise from outside. Lasted one night was meant to be there for 6. Even before checking out early my reserved car spot had someone else's registration on so could've been clamped!

The room wasn’t clean at all. There was hair everywhere, including in the bathroom, and they even gave us a used toilet roll. The bed was broken, and despite paying for a parking space, someone else took our spot. When we contacted the hotel, they did nothing to resolve the issue. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and not what we expected.

I had no towel and had to ask. Then I had no toilet roll and had to ask. I had to clean the last tenants empty bottles and used tissues and put them in a bin outside the door - I could smell the alcohol! I informed reception - nothing! The bin was finally taken away and replaced. The mug in my room had lipstick on it. The sheet had a hole in it. The shower had to be held, the holder was broken. The toilet overflowed from the cistern when I flushed it - flowing into the room below - they had to be moved. At this point I decided to use the toilet in the lobby - it is out of order (as is the lift)! When I reported that the toilet was overflowing I was told that the customers below were gone so I could continue to flush 😳 The tea and coffee area in the lobby is awful - the water not always boiled! During my stay housecleaning never checked my room - no new towels (despite one of them being used to soak up the water from the cistern)! Don’t do as I did read the reviews before booking!

Heavily stained carpet. Dirty windows inside and out. Curtains mismatched and hanging off the rails. Toilet was full of hair. The shower door did not close. The water in the shower was dangerously hot. Bed linen was stained. Sheets were not fitted properly. Huge desert spoon was provided to stir tea and coffee. Tv was wall mounted but wonkey, and the power cable was too short to reach the socket. So it could not be used.

The location is ideal. That is all that goes for this hotel.

First of all the photos online do not represent the hotel in Newquay. The public areas within the hotel were disgusting, it smelt extremely unpleasant and was dirty. The guests toilets in the foyer were obscene. In a horrendous state and not clean. The bedroom was very dated, dirty and not pleasant to stay in. To the point my wife became extremely upset. We attempted to move but nowhere available due to Boardmasters weekend. Are room had no towels. The hotel couldn't physically supply us with towels until gone 36 hours into our visit, no care was given to this from the staff, no alternate solution was provided. Even at this, we had to still ask for them. This hotel is definitely not worth it's price and I wouldn't wish my worst enemy stay here. Absolutely awful.

No towel in the bathroom, faeces in the toilet, bird poo all over the window, carpet dirty, bathroom very run-down. Staff on arrival were friendly, but staff on checkout were rude and seemed annoyed at having to work. No staff were available in the evening when support was immediately needed. Only a phone number to call, but nobody on site. Overall, a disgusting place to stay. The price is in no way justified.

Very little, unfortunately. The hotel did eventually offer us a different room after we raised numerous problems with the first one. We appreciated the attempt to resolve the situation, and the replacement room was larger with a more usable shower. Sadly, however, it still had significant problems of its own and remained well below the standard we had booked and expected.

Unfortunately, almost everything about the accommodation. This was genuinely the worst hotel stay we have experienced. Our first room was in a shocking state of repair: the wardrobe was broken and unusable, the TV didn't work, there was no hairdryer despite it being advertised, wallpaper was peeling off, there were holes and damage to the walls, fittings were broken, the bathroom tap barely worked and an electrical socket was loose and appeared unsafe. The shower was so small my husband struggled to use it. There were no towels whatsoever when we arrived and we had to go to reception ourselves to ask for them, where we were given just two medium-sized towels. There was no bath mat, no sanitary bin and initially no cups for making a drink. The hotel also smelled strongly of cannabis. After we complained, the hotel offered us the room next door. We appreciated the attempt to resolve things and accepted the move, but unfortunately the replacement room was only marginally better. There was no TV at all, still no hairdryer, the carpet was heavily stained, the room smelled strongly musty, the bed base was visibly broken and even the wardrobe was damaged. There were no bedside cabinets or proper desk/dressing table like those shown in the listing photographs – just a small, wobbly round table for the kettle. There were only two electrical sockets in the entire replacement room and one did not work correctly. After plugging our charger into it, the charger stopped working completely. We therefore didn't feel comfortable using that socket again, leaving us with effectively one usable socket. Perhaps most astonishingly, there was no housekeeping whatsoever during our entire five-night stay. Our room was never cleaned and we received no fresh towels. The same two medium-sized towels we had collected from reception ourselves on arrival were all we had for two adults for five nights.

The toilet was broken and the flush didn’t work. There was urine on the side of the toilet, no soap, and the toilet had clearly not been cleaned. It was absolutely disgusting. The room was also very dirty and dusty. There was an overwhelming amount of air freshener/fragrance, which made the room unpleasant. The carpet was dirty, and overall, the entire room felt poorly maintained. There were also dirty cups left in the room with water still inside them. Overall, the cleanliness and condition of the room were extremely disappointing. The experience was very poor and far below what I would expect from a hotel. Is below even one star.

The hotel was generally very dirty and shabby. Carpets were stained and not hoovered. The room was so unclean we bought flip flops to wear throughout the duration of our stay as we did not want to put our feet on the floor. The hotel also smelt of cannabis in certain areas.

It’s dirty, the communal areas are filthy, the lifts have been broke for years, there was 2 plates on our room from the previous guests, only one small towel for 2 people, screws loose on carpet gripper cut my foot on, no soap, 2 tvs no remote

The property had good location and the staff were accommodating and friendly when we needed to leave luggage behind and collect at a later time.

The bathroom needs a lot of work, taps were facing the wrong way which made it hard to use and paint was chipping everywhere, there were also some stains on the walls. The bed/mattress wasn’t very comfortable and had very flat pillows, just one each, we had to fold the pillows in half to get any comfort out of them. We also found that we had no room cleans or top up services, despite stickers in the rooms saying that towels would be replaced and where to leave them our towels were never replaced and we had to go down to reception to ask for toilet roll, there was also a pizza box/takeaway rubbish left in the corridor outside our room for two days.

The hotel and the room were dirty. Very dirty! There were human hairs on the bedding, in the bath, and the shower curtain was so dirty it had to be replaced. The carpets were extremely dirty. It looked as though they were once dark grey and now had black pathways on them. The decor was substandard, with peeling wallpaper and chipped paintwork. The toilet and washbasin were old, mixed parts and damaged. I needed to ask for a kettle and tea/coffee, towels and toiletries. After a telephone call to 'management'I was moved to another, slightly cleaner room. I made a further two telephone calls to 'management' but they refused to move me to another hotel or give me a refund. The restaurants and bar were not in operation, the lift was out of order and there were no 'water sports on site' as advertised. The guy on reception was constantly on his phone even when I tried to communicate with him. I can't understand why Booking.com are even advertising this hotel. I paid £250+ for a two night stay and expected a clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff!

Firstly, we were given a room with not enough beds for our family of 3. After going to reception to ask for a bed for our 2 year old son to sleep on we were then faced with a rude receptionist who simply said 'well thats what you booked'. They then thought it was adequate to bring up a bunch of folded duvets with no covers to put on the floor for our toddler to sleep on. My partner ended up sleeping on the floor, which was cold due to no cover and also the window not closing. Inside of our wardrobe we found extra pillows which we thought we could use, until we found that they were infact covered in what looked like sick or blood. There was no working tv, our door to the bathroom didnt fit in the door frame so we were unable to close it and there was a random plate in the room covered in crumbs. We could not wait to get out of the hotel, it was dirty, worn and after sleeping on the floor and uncomfortable beds we were glad it was only for one night. We had no access to drinking water and in reception there was a horrible fridge full of gone off milk, salad cream which seemed suspicious that people were living in the hotel. It is unbelievable that they think this standard is okay and to take peoples hard earned money from them to then expect their 2 year old sleep on a dirty cover on the floor.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. . Do not waste your money. All carpets were filthy from front door to your room. Wall were filthy and wallpaper ripped off. Room smelt like sewage, shower drain was full of thick slime, bought bleach to put down it. wasnt clean at all.. duvet cover was ripped, wardrobe door fell off,only one hinge screwed on, pillows thinner then a pancake, duvet the same, windows filthy didnt close properly so the wind howled through it. Charged us £10 a night for parking. Hated going back every night..

Everything. Unhelpful staff speaking a different language as we were checking in making it seem as though there were no rooms available. Then trying to find the rooms was a mission. The ABSOLUTE DIRT, SMELL AND FILTH throughout the corridors and rooms. Unfinished decor. Last guests food in the desk drawer. Someone feeding seagulls outside our window. No soap. Clogged sink which hair came out of. We checked in at midnight and immediately looked for a new hotel for the same night but we werent able to check into the new one until later that day, stayed here till 7am and left immediately (only stayed cos we had a child with us who had to go to sleep). Management unhelpful trying to find a solution and literally didnt care after we complained and said we cant stay here any longer. We then found out this hotel was used for asylum seekers and had not been redecorated since then. Hotel looks nothing like the pictures and pics are from years ago. Do not stay here - unless you dont mind dirt and smell. Usually i dont care as im usually out and about all day and just come to hotel to sleep but honestly i was scared to sleep here and had to get out asap.

Everything in the hotel. Broken fan. Had to ask for new kettle. No hairdryer in room. Everything that was advertised didn't exist ie no bar no restaurant. 1 hand towel for 2 adults. 1 and a half toilet rolls for in bathroom. Hairs everywhere. 1plastic beaker in bathroom full of old toothpaste and spit inside.No hot water. Shower was tiny and washed more of the screen then myself. Water in shower tray didn't drain away. We was told room was with sea view but we had fire escape view. Windows were rotten. Curtains fell off rail when we tried to close. Paper plates behind radiator. Ripped bubble wrap and rubbish in cupboard. Banging around all night from other people. Lift out of order. Horrific smell throughout the hotel. No parking so had to park by police station Tried to book somewhere else within first 10 mins of arrival but everywhere booked. This place is not to be experienced by anyone hoping for an enjoyable stay.

Location for this place was lovely and easy to find. Tea and Coffee.

It took me and my partner a while to find out room and in the end we had to ask someone else to help find our room. We were unable to get hot water for the shower so we had to have use it cold. It took us hours to fall asleep and got very restless as we kept hearing these people talking loudly out there window, It went on till about 4 in the morning I believe. I recommend not coming back.

No towels or toiletries they said they was short on everything if that’s the case should of dropped the price! I had to leave 1 night early I asked for a family room which I got but 2 lots of stairs I had to use it was very hard to keep going up and down with a 6month old

The bed was surprisingly comfy and the staff were pleasant. They allowed us to check in early as the room was “ready.” I had booked the hotel last minute as needed to attend a funeral in the local area and with it being the summer holidays there were limited places available so booked this hotel without really reading prior reviews. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel as arrived just before the funeral started so only needed it as a base to sleep in - which is what we got. The location is fantastic and the sea view was fab.

Cleanliness was really poor. Toilet had marks/stains from previous occupants (hadn’t been cleaned at all), shower tray filled up with water and then dirt/ sand started coming up through the plug hole. The sink in the bathroom was unusable as the plug was stuck in it. There were marks on the ceiling in the room that looked like blood splatter. The carpets around the whole hotel were filthy and heavily stained. There was no tv remote to control the tv. The overall look of the room and hotel is very poor. Slapdash decorating has taken place but they have painted around furniture rather than move it making the room appear more rundown. The mattress was stained. The window sill was broken/ cracked. The windows were filthy.

Right on the sea front, easily accessible to get into town in about a 5 min walk. Staff were lovely! I booked before reading the reviews and then got a bit nervous as to what to expect. For what you pay, it is worth it! The shower was absolutely fine, just had to let it run for 5 mins and the pressure was perfect. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean too. The hotel was also pretty booked up, lots of people about, I think lots of people are leaving bad reviews and no one is sharing their good experiences here. I say take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt, it’s an old hotel and it’s cheap too.

This isn’t a major thing but the carpet could have done with a bit of a hoover. But your by the beach and bring your own sand to add back to it.

The Manager can't remember his name ,he's Egyptian first class chap, anything we needed he got for us within 5/10min extremely polite and friendly. A credit to himself and his family and the company that owns the hotel.

When the hotel is totally renovated and restored to its new owner's and staff expectations it will thrive. At moment slightly mauled from it's recent past. But there is a great hotel there .

Dirty poor rooms with 1 plug socket . Paid for parking but it was free for all staff and family took most spaces without paying. No towels in the room. People running about and arguing late in the night.

When I walking into the building it was giving abandoned vibes, trash infront the room door and all over the hallway. There was not parking. The carpet in the room was stained, it smelled really really bad. I felt sick. I just had to leave. I could not stay in a place like that. BOOKING.COM Please remove this hotel from your listing. I did not get a refund and had to book another hotel. I wish I could give this a -100 rating.

There wasn't one good thing about this hotel.

The carpets on the stairs and corridors were filthy and weren't vacuumed during my stay. The main seating area had fencing and rubbish piled up . The lift didn't work. There didn't seem to be any sort of security in the hotel. Anyone could walk in without question. My Son, who wasn't staying there, was able to access my room without being stopped. There are absolutely zero facilties in the hotel. My room itself was not a good experience. The main lights didn't work, though there was a lamp. The bedding was stained, when I went to reception to complain, there wasn't anyone there. I helped myself to clean linen from the opened cupboard. The carpets were filthy, both with stains and debris, the shower was dirty and had mouldy grouting, and I felt dirtier after I showered! The bed itself was very uncomfortable and creaked with the slightest movement. People were banging doors all hours of the night, so I wasn't able to get a relaxing sleep. My room was at the back of the property with a skip directly below my window. Work started before 7am with lots of banging. What seemed like a domestic fight happened in the room next to me. Overall, I didn't feel safe or relaxed and ended my stay a day early. Absolutely terrible experience and a waste of my money. Having stayed a couple of times before, I was hopeful the reviews were exaggerated. Unfortunately not, this property has deteriorated drastically and I feel it should be removed from your listing to avoid anyone else having an experience like mine

The location is excellent however rooms are quite outdated, broken wardrobes, no kettle for the cups and teas provided, toilet flush cannot be stoped, not enough toilet roll left in the room. In the first room the towels were missing and the room had unpleasant odour however the receptionist agreed to change the room. Overall it’s 1-2 night stay hotel but no longer.

The view from my room was phenomenally good. Could lay in bed and watch the sea. The beach infront on the hotel is simply amazing. The beach is literally across the road, so close. The hotel is literally in the centre of Newquay, near train station and near lots of shops and restaurants and bars. It had a lift. And is good for dogs and people with mobility issues. I felt safe as a single woman traveling there. The price was incredibly low - I will 100% coming back to stay here. Parking is available on street (free) or in-front of hotel (for fee) or in a carpark (payable) very close by. The people on reception were lovely and the room cleaners were happy to help. Tea and coffee in room was nice too.

Hotel is very outdated, nothing what has been seen on pictures. Needs refresh and painting, probably even deep clean - all hall ways are dirty, open area is full of equipment, beds, used bedsheets etc. Batbrrom are without paper - you may ask for one at reception however when you in need 😅 you wouldn't make it. Room has a really small window - open patrialy, was very hot and humid. Some jobs were going during late hours of the evening, causing leak in our room - while questioning - the reception said "sorry". Around midnight fire alarm went off twice, we left room to see what going on but we could find nobody and luckily for us it wasn't a real fire. We arrived at 1.30pm was told check in start at 3pm. We returned at 3pm only to find the post to call number, fortunetly for us we have been seen by housekeeping boy who was very kind, polite and apologetic. I wouldn't recommend however if you looking for a budget hotel we're you only sleep - is for you.

Stair clearly not vacuumed for a very long time. Window restrictors snapped off and unsafe. Fan in the room was filthy and barely working. 3 pin plugs with wires not fitter correctly. Water leaking through the ceiling onto a stair carpet making it slippery and soaking wet.

Staff was not cooperative, Lift were not working as we need to take & bring down whole of our luggages to 2nd and 3rd floors and the staff not helped at all, and not even showed the rooms even after requested to do so, Toilet lock was broken, Electric kettle was dirty and rusty, no parking space provided.⁶

The room was not clean and the pillow was dirty. I found hairs on the pillow, which made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. This was unacceptable and made my stay uncomfortable. I hope the hotel improves its house keeping standards to prevent this from happening to future guests.

Location

No one manning the reception on arrival room keys not secured and easily accessible creating a potential security / safety breech. Was left open for more than 30 minutes. Called the phone number on reception answered by someone who didn't know what was going on. Whole hotel was insecure my room didn't lock properly

Location was perfect

Unclean, beds and mattresses were piled up in the hotel lobby. Carpets were dusty and stinking. Tele didn’t work. Bathroom had no soap.

Everything was so dirty, smelling was discussing Bathrooms was completely not cleaned, the same like carpets in the room and on the corridor. From the front door the dirtiest it's visible, dust and plenty rubbish in the kitchen. ABSOLUTELY the price 170£for 2 nights was not adequate to zero standard.

I really liked the hotel because it cost about half as much as a Premier Inn.

The hotel didn't have a gym or a swimming pool.

(NOTHING) It has to be the most disgusting hovels ever . The filth from the carpets to the interior to the windows that won't close fully . To think I paid €100 a night for this is beyond me. Id actually say it's a fire hazard as well .no lifts working. Hot water runs out by 9am . Filthy mugs and two manky fans left in the room was dire with dirt The holder that held a few manky sachets of something and a big desert spoon left beside them to make tea Paper litter on hallways . I actually kept my flip flops on for the 4 days . One could get a disease from the carpets alone ...

The location of the hotel wasn’t bad

You are charged £10 daily to park outside the front of the hotel. When we entered our room we was shocked at the smell of damp, even the toilet roll was damp. The pillows had hairs on them so we asked for the room to be cleaned again. The room was nothing like the pictures shown on booking.com and it is definitely false advertising, booking.com and the hotel shouldn’t be allowed to advertise a clean modern room and then stay in what we did. We asked reception for a refund as was not staying two nights as the room felt dirty and it was not the room I had saw pictures off but the staff pretended they couldn’t understand English well and said talk to booking.com. We also never had a tv in our room and the shower temperature couldn’t be turned down you was scolding your skin in it.

Bed was comfy but the heroin left on the tea spoon was not a very nice experiance
