Love the vibe and location. Nice high ceilings and a bathtub. View of the ocean was supreme. Good WiFi for our work.

No AC- that ocean side window gets the room toasty and windows barely open to cool off. Also no food on site (they didn’t tell us we needed to book breakfast in advance- so found out last day they did have food, double check this for yourself)

Great location with sea view

Understaffed. My room had not been prepared properly: The windows were open and it was impossible for me to close them. The receptionist said it took all his strength to do so. Consequently I couldnt open and close the windows myself during my stay. The windows need to be adjusted to be useable! Clunky old wardrobe with doors that didnt fit. The tv remote didnt work so asked for new batteries. However the tv still didnt work at all. After many attempts the receptionist gave up and brought another tv. The next day my room was not made up. After the second night they came and replaced towels in my room but didnt make the bed. Totally inadequate level of checking the room before my stay and room servicing during my stay.

If I'm really honest, the hotel does need a bit of upheaval, a bit of refurbishment, but overall, the stay was very pleasant. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We were only there for one night, and it was great value with the continental breakfast included.

The hotel is right on the seafront and I had a room with a seaview (116 a single room), which I had not expected, and was a great treat. The room was narrow but it was ok for a 2 night stay. The bathroom was small, but the shower was modern and worked efficiently. The curtains were lined and kept the room dark at night. Despite having the window open both Fri and Sat it wasn't noisy at night. The public rooms were very stylish with a bold vibrant decor. There is a little area looking onto the seafront that is a cosy nook for two. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel but ate at the View hotel opposite at a slightly discounted rate.

The room was rather dated and the carpet was very worn near the window. There was a mat covering the most worn part. There was no bedside table or anywhere to put my glasses at night. There could perhaps be a small shelf on the wall to put things on. Also there was no light above the bed just a central light and a desk lamp. But these weren't major problems especially for a short stay.

liked the view from my room, and the bed was comfortable . Perfect location with view of the sea . The staff were very helpful and friendly . I will stay again next time i come to Eastbourne . Good breakfast .

The shower could be better . The single room is a bit small but i would still choose the same room . Some scrambled egg and poraghe would be good .

Lovely & warm welcome!!! We were here last year and we liked it very much! Very pleasant and helpful staff!!! This year there was neither a bowl nor utensils for our dog and the room chosen by the hotel was very small for the three of us. The breakfast was continental and very simple; I work in a hotel myself and would give the tip to place a toaster and offer toast with it and real coffee instead of instant coffee. The cereals could be arranged in nice cannisteres, instead of the cardboard boxes and the whole thing would match the absolute stunning interior of the room. The Hotel is beautifully and tastefully furnished!!!

The people were lovely and welcoming, our bathroom was massive. Our bedroom was large and clean and the shower was amazing. The location was convenient and we loved the balcony, we could hear the waves. The design and little details were special.

The location was good although parking the car was challenging.

The rooms were far below expectations. One room was stained and glued with duct tape, the carpeting in the bath room was bulged and therefore the toilet door could not be closed, the bath room was dirty and the toilet space was so tiny that you could hardly sit on it. When we complained we were told that they were fully booked and this was the only room left, despite the fact that we booked well in advance.

This was our third stay at the hotel. It’s in a great location and the staff are really helpful and friendly. We had a sea view which was lovely because we had perfect weather.

We were a bit disappointed this time as the TV was on the dressing table which blocked the mirror and we couldn’t get it working. It was also in a position which would have been a bit awkward to watch, it would better on the wall if possible and you could watch from your bed. Also the last two times we visited there were sweets and biscuits at the reception which was nice. Obviously it’s not a necessity but a nice touch but this was not the case this time, we are assuming cutbacks.

Location great for the Theatres & right on the seafront, great for a stroll along the prom. We liked the voucher system for parking which was a bonus & only £2.50

Breakfast was included in the price, however, we were not aware that it was Continental breakfast only & did not include full English. This was available at another hotel but at extra cost. We used the stairs to access our room. However, the stair wells were very dark and dangerous. More lighting is needed as this is also a fire escape route.

Awful smell and humidity stench. Lighting was so bad it felt haunted. My pillow covers and bedsheets as disgusting stains and I slept in my own towel because there was staff apart from security guard to complain to

The location is great, right on the front. We had a lovely big comfortable room with a big bay window giving a wonderful sea view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although the hotel was fully booked it was very quiet and peaceful.

Wonderful hotel, brilliant location, stunning views of the pier and sea. A real quirky, boutique style hotel with brilliant artwork - the staff couldn’t do enough to help - warm and attentive. The hotel has a beach club right on the front which was a gem - can’t wait to return

Perfect situation, on the seafront, close to bandstand and pier. Town centre only a short walk away. Staff were all very efficient and friendly.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here during the Airborne show. The hotel is well located on the sea front. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We had a twin rear view room which was fine. It was airy recently decorated but not one of the refurbished rooms. The main areas downstairs are decorated beautifully and the reception, lounge and bar are lovely. The old lift is very quaint. We bought parking vouchers from reception which were very handy as parking was hard to find.

Breakfast could be improved. It was quite basic. We didn’t try the long life pastries so just had cereal with fruit and plain wholemeal toast. Our 4 eggs came out over boiled and rubbery so we had to ask for more. We got 2 back which were nice. Our room wasn’t cleaned on the first morning, we didn't realise you had to ask for it to be cleaned. The second morning we had breakfast and were told they had run out of eggs because the manager had forgotten to order them. The tea wasn’t hot enough. Overall we had a nice stay but feel it was very overpriced for £186 per night for what we got.

La douche mériterait vraiment d'être rénovée. Cela va pour une nuit mais guère plus. J'ai aussi été déçue du petit déjeuner, que j'ai intégralement payé, mais comme j'étais la seule je n'ai eu droit qu'à des viennoiseries sous plastiques et des fruits.

Great location! Easy to get to from the station and right by the bandstand and wish tower, and a short walk from the pier. We had a small double rear view and it suited our needs perfectly. The staff were the best part, they were all very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We will be staying here next summer for sure.

The room size was big, staff where nice and pleasant. Location on spot for reasons for the stay.

Rubbish left in the room at the head of the bed, loose power socket by the bedroom door, huge crack in the room / bathroom wall windowside this crack leads through the bathroom side too. The bath has a white filling in it, and limescale drip build up. I said earlier that the staff are extremely helpful and friendly however i need to raise a serious question about the late night return to hotel regarding a issue regarding security we returned and spoke with the night staff, and was told this key must be yours as its the only one left, i do however appreciate the trust but identity should have reconfirmed before handing the key over as when ilee checked in hours earlier this staff member we had not seen and we could have been anyone walking into the hotel. The continental breakfast was questionable and raises the concern of the products not being sufficiently covered due to the flies that were noted jumping on and off the muffins, and the other foods where under kitchen towel which put all three of us off eating it, we kindly said to the young lady that we have changed our minds and we where going to fill somewhere that has a full english breakfast. The sign outside the elevator on lvl 2 is hanging off the wall as seen in the photos and the double plugs by the door are a concern due to the fact its loose and this is a family room if children are present it might just be a risk.

The loveliest hotel in the area for sure. The location is perfect, and the style of the hotel is beautiful and cosy. Bright and clean rooms with wonderful views all round. Super warm and helpful staff - especially Ron at breakfast, thank you!

Das Bad war leider sehr klein und eng. Wir konnten das Fenster nicht offen halten, durch die Hitze hat sich der dritte Stock sehr aufgeheizt. Das eine Bett war sehr durchgelegen

I stayed in one of the budget rooms and next time I will book a standard room as I didn't like the thin folding door to the toilet in the budget room

Ideally located by the sea front. Our family room was more of a suite with a smaller separate room for my teenage daughter and a lovely large room for us which was a lovely surprise.

Next time we will ask for an additional pillow each! We only need to ask and they will supply I am sure.

The room was not clean. It was dark and depressing. The bathroom was little more than a cupboard with a sliding door. To sit on the toilet it was necessary to reverse in. The room was tired and scruffy. The breakfast was virtually non-existent. The bar was closed. The room was unbearably hot with no ventilation other than an antiquated desk top fan. We found alternative accommodation and left as soon as we could. We booked for four nights and left after two and seek a refund for those two nights. We complained to the manager who agreed with us!

Location was great and staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and sea view was lovely.

The shower was rubbish, needs to be updated to electric. There were no extra pillows in the room and we were only given a small flat one. Decor of room could do with being updated in general.

Very hot (I know it’s unseasonably hot presently) but not A/C at all. Shower small and thought the water would spill over tray (it didn’t). Continental breakfast (yuck!). Get some bacon and eggs on the go.

Super lage, schöne Einrichtung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Betten sehr bequem. Der Meeresblick ist wunderschön und man kann bei Meeresrauschen einschlafen.

Oberflächlich war alles sauber, eine gründliche Reinigung wäre teilweise noch nötig gewesen.

Perfect location, great double family room and staff were all amazing. We were able to check in early and given late check out so my partner could shower after a triathlon. They also allowed us to store things even further beyond that too. Toddler especially happy to have his own grown up room. Alek was especially attentive to us.

Only thing is the lift is small but I was able to store pram in one of the reception rooms, and there is only a shower so a bit harder to wash a baby

Overpriced for what you get, “breakfast” was very disappointing

Great location, good size room, friendly staff, reason we chose this Hotel is because we have stayed there before last year and were impressed. May stay again but will not be having breakfast included if we do.

The breakfast service - cost £15 extra - only continental with boiled eggs (no other egg types possible ) and toast, no full English.- would have expected a full English for £15. When eggs came they were scolding hot served in a dessert bowl- very tricky to peel! Also you cannot serve cafetière coffee just in a normal cap without an actual cafeteria- it results in lots of coffee in the cup and a thick sludge at the bottom! Lastly there was absolutely no atmosphere with zero music in breakfast room, very awkward silence, I suggest you put some background music on.

Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und man schaut vielleicht einfach nicht in die eine oder andere Ecke. Das Frühstück war etwas dünn. Aber insgesamt waren wir zufrieden und haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Das Zimmer wirkte etwas angejahrt und erweist sich als renovationsbedürftig. Eine Klimatisierung gibt es nicht. Das Zimmer kann sehr heiss werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist etwas dürftig.

Clean and fresh with modern decor and a fun old timey lift. Great location - less than 5 mins walk from Devonshire for the tennis, about 30 seconds walk from the beach. Nice shower / bathroom as well. Tea and coffee facilities in the room but we didn't use them. We also didn't have breakfast so can't comment.

Beds were nice except the pillows were very flat and we only had one each. The sash windows rattled in the wind but that was easily solved by wedging a toothpaste tube in, you could also use cardboard!

Cooked breakfast would of been nice

The staff are amazing. I accidentally left a suitcase behind at the parking bays opposite and they took it in, added the postage labels and gave it to my courier. Brilliant staff and very friendly.

I mentioned there was a minor issue with the shower. I'm sure that's a simple fix.

The house keeping needed to be better . On are landing by the lift there was rubbish dirty glasses and empty bottles on are arrival and it was still there when we left 24hrs later . The guest toilet at reception was very dirty and never had hand dryers or paper towels. Overall the hotel needs updating. I understand we are in a difficult climate and things cost money but cleanliness should be better

The worst hotel breakfast I've experienced in my life and I'm 44. The room has not been updated for possibly 25 years. Very warm and no AC.

Great location, parking permit was really helpful. I liked the view and I could pop across the road for an early morning swim. All staff were helpful and friendly. I loved the lift!

A shower screen instead of curtain would maybe avoid excess water on floor when using the shower. But it was manageable.

Rummet inte enligt specifikation på booking. Frukosten inte ok då det tog slut på vissa saker och ingen påfyllning gjordes. T. ex det bruna brödet. Ingen kollade av rummet under boendet så vi fick själva be om påfyllning av toapapper och nya handdukar.

Perfectly sit for the Eastbourne Tennis in Devonshire Park, just a 10 minute walk away.. Fantastic owner manager who found us a parking place by running across the road to secure. Quick response to getting the windows open

Hotel mit viel Charme und Charakter, man wird freundlich empfangen, mein Einzelzimmer hatte Seeblick. Die Lage ist perfekt, das Bad klein und ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber die Dusche war super! Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt und werde sich wieder kommen.

The sea view from the room was lovely and the location was perfect. The lounge area was peaceful and a nice touch.

There was an unpleasant lingering smell in the corridor throughout and the bathroom sliding doors aren't the most practical.

Great seafront location, attractively decorated rooms, enjoyable continental breakfast in beautiful dining area and nice staff. Our dog was allowed to stay which was very useful.

Whilst there was a sink in the main part of the bedroom, it would have been better if there was also a sink in the ensuite washroom. Coffee (which was nice) was brought to the breakfast table. It would be preferred to have self service using a flask or machine.
