Great hotel! Swimming pool fabulous! Breakfast awesome and rooms comfy!
The cost! It was so expensive!
The restaurant was nice
I asked for a iron and ironing board to be delivered to our room because I had to iron a shirt for dinner. It didn’t arrive so I tried improvising with a pair of hair straighteners for the collar and badly burnt myself in the process. No sympathy whatsoever from the staff, the ironing board was there when I woke up in the morning
Great atmosphere for the UK coastal scene
A little busy, but to be expected given there aren’t many places like this
Great location, super friendly staff
A little pricey
Clean, fresh, modern, great vibe. Fab facilities and position by the sea. Polite staff.
Arrived along the corridor near our room and it smelt of cleaner. Booked a cozy room, but it was cramped, particularly due to too much furniture for the size. Would have been better with a king size bed and chair that would tuck under the dressing table. We removed the dressing table chair and put it in the corridor in the end so we didn’t have to keep saying ‘sorry, can I just get by’, which we had to do to get to the wardrobe, tea making and shower room too. The smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. Better suited for a person on their own. At breakfast, due to style of the table, you couldn’t put your feet under and in the bar, the remaining available indoor seats didn’t have a proper back so you were left having to sit bolt upright or slumped too far back.
Continental breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice. Location for breakfast overlooking the swimming pool was excellent
Would like to have been able to open room window. Two night
The shower and bed were super comfortable😍 hospitality needs a lot of attention though🤷♀️
The staff could be more friendly quite arrogant at the Reception
Love this hotel for all it’s facilities
It is very expensive even for much however you can walk out to other restaurants
Perfect location. Fantastic facilities.
Nothing
Sea view, spa facilities, clean, helpful staff in particular Roberta and Kirk.
We had a “cosy room “ away from the hotel in the car park which I was disappointed about , until we arrived, the rooms were great, small yes but the best bed and linen I think I have every had.
Thought breakfast was expensive .
The staff, pools and spa were amazing it was clean and beautiful inside
Nothing we loved it!
Staff were lovely, Old Harry Rocks restaurant was particularly nice.
Nothing.
The facilities were excellent for both adults ,children and in pets. Various areas where you can relax throughout the day as well as the evening
It was really vibrant and clean
Fabulous hotel!! And a wonderful sea view.. amazing swimming pool! 🤩
Nothing!
Loved the facilities for children
Parking was overpriced
It was great to have the option of valet parking on site. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The location is lovely being close to the beach. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go.
The hot tub could be hotter for our liking
The location, close to the sea, the swimming pool area, and the main restaurant terrace all have a beautiful vibe, and the view over the sea is lovely. The breakfast buffet has a lot to choose from. Food at dinner had beautiful plating. The apple crumble and creme anglaise are delicious. Also the green peppercorn sauce that comes on fillet steak, quite unexpected.. i wish I know how they made it.
Dinner time at the bar, especially when you're ordering cocktails, I get that it takes a while. But when you ask for a bottle of Champagne with two flutes... I mean, the kitchen got the starters out faster! The staff was super nice, checked on us about the food and all, but just a tad slow. In my opinion, if it's a simple drink order like a bottle of wine, just grab the glasses, wine, cooler, and serve it right away. The risotto wasn't my favorite, maybe too salty for me, and that lobster scampi... I think it was buttered deep-fried lobster. You couldn't even taste the lobster, just the crispy butter. So, no. (Hope the chef doesn't hate me for saying that!) The place looks a bit tired in some spots, could use a refresh, maybe some new paint. Nothing major, just that it looks older than it is and not super well-maintained. I'm only saying this because it's a 5-star hotel, and you expect everything to be pristine in a place like that. But overall, the place looks lovely, with beautiful vibrant colors.
Leisure facilities are very good
chaotic charging system, especially at breakfast
Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff.
Nothing
Best hotel in Bournemouth
Staff never answer the phone. It’s always a little dirty. Run out of towels. Not enough beds for the number of guests by the pool.
The facilities were great!
We were overcharged on checkout. Someone had put their dinner on our bill. I challenged this at reception, but was charged regardless. Not happy!
Everything, beds are very comfy, large rooms, it was all perfect.Staff are fab
nothing!
Location was good, close to amenities
It used to be a great hotel, service, food, drinks, rooms etc but has been slowly going down hill for a while now We left a night early due to these issues and will not stay here again For the price and service you can get better
The beds are big
Read the reviews around the aircon - it doesn’t work so the rooms are stifling. They allow non guests to use the pool so it is heaving and if you’re not down by 8am to reserve a bed with your towel then good luck getting a sunbed . They don’t inform you about having to book dinner in advance and so it was completely booked during our stay which kind of defeats going to a nice hotel in a bad area
Gorgeous place

The outdoor pool is amazing but the indoor pool is only very small if you get the weather then you could feel like you are in a different country
The staff where sometimes very slow taking our order for breakfast and one morning forgot to put our order in
It had a great location, and the rooms were very nice.
Upon our arrival, the cocktail glasses next the decanter hadn’t been washed. And they had leftover drinks in them aswell.
Very high spec hotel, comfortable, clean, spacious, lovely decor, great location
Parking, only just got in the car park and told no alternative or ability to book in advance, service at breakfast was a bit slow, staff helpful but seemed unhappy.
A Fantastic 4-Year Anniversary Stay We stayed at the Nici to celebrate our 4-year anniversary, and it delivered a truly luxurious experience from start to finish. To make the occasion even more special, the team kindly gave us a room upgrade, which was a wonderful touch. Highlights of our stay: The Room: Spotlessly clean, beautifully styled, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed provided a fantastic night's sleep. Service & Staff: Outstanding hospitality throughout. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, attentive, and welcoming. Dining: Excellent food with a wide variety of breakfast options and a great à la carte menu for dinner. Facilities & Parking: The spa facilities were lovely and relaxing. On-site secure parking was easy to access (£27/night), offering great peace of mind. Location: Unbeatable. It is less than a five-minute walk down to the beach, making exploring the coastline effortless. Everything about the stay felt genuinely high-end and relaxing. We had a memorable celebration and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
Small lift, no shelf in bathroom for products, payment for parking.
Very well maintained and clean. Staff helpful and polite. Lunch menu delicious. Something for every age group
Had to leave😪
Great views, clean, friendly atmosphere, good food, great people.
Genuinely nothing - it was amazing.
I know many of the hotels in this segment in Bournemouth and the Nici is definitely the one with the best facilities and best food offering. It is great that the property has both - outdoor and indoor pool, reducing the risk of the English weather impact. Decor is vibrant with a hint of Miami Beach. The Reception staff and main restaurant team were super friendly and accommodating. We particularly loved the special touches and creativity of the restaurant, e.g. preparing Caesar's salad table side.
Car parking is always an issue. They need to guarantee the valet parking service for a hotel trying to position itself at the higher end of the market. The price/value relationship is a little off. Rooms are fresh and clean but tiny in all categories. The bathroom is not very user-friendly in its design and there is little space for toiletries. Staff at the pool had a 'no-can-do' attitude. Appreciate that on a hot summer's day the pool area can be busy, but when you are marking yourself to families with children who are already super restricted in the indoor area you should welcome them more in the outdoor pool area. Not handing out the pool toys that are available whilst other kids use some was quite cruel.

Rocks restaurant had interesting food
Poor food selection at main restaurant . Daily room service is erratic. Spa staff not fully aware of options. 5 star based on facilities, definitely not on service or food. Breakfast was average.
Some staff were fantastic, very helpful and very kind, really went the extra mile
The fact you have to hand your keys over to a complete stranger to use the car park, all so the hotel can park 3 deep an make an extra £100/200 a night from there carpark.. so you have to trust a random person who isn't insured to move your car and entrust them with all your possessions in thier.. also an added bonus to this, when you hand them your keys they say on the slip that they are not responsible for any damage they cause... speechless is the word, appalling behaviour
Everything
Think the car parking charge is excessive when you are a resident at the hotel
The facilities were great.
The annex bedroom was poor and not worth the money, we did not feel connected to the hotel at all and it ruined our stay as we had to walk through the car park in our robes. The breakfast in bed was poor we had to ring up reception to tell them that we had left the sheet on our door for the breakfast they had no idea ( I’m imagining because we were in the car park). Then my order was wrong twice, which meant my partner ate his birthday breakfast on his own as it was half an hour later this was resolved. I understand this cannot be helped sometimes, but for a trip I had paid a lot for and was super excited for I was very disappointed and will not recommend to people.
Room was beautiful, lots of nice touches to make your stay perfect. Facilities are very nice and we enjoyed that we could stay longer than checkout to use the pool and spa
That we couldn't re-enter the hotel from the beach access gate. Made going from the pool-beach-pool a bit of a longer walk than needed and slightly confusing
Clean, friendly and welcoming
Too many staff asking if I was ok and I needed help or wanted anything. Was a little over whelming at times.
The out door pool is clean and well maintained. The food is very good and so are the cocktails.
Could not book dinner first evening as wedding had put the kitchen under pressure. When busy service for drinks is very poor. Spa not as good as the Harbour Hotel. Drinks put on our bill that were not ours. Breakfast you pay for and choose between continental or cooked if you choose a cooked you do not get toast or coffee.
Comfortable beds and silence of the location of our room
A little too pricey
Beautifully presented, clean and cool. Louise was nice and big toiletries were great. The bed was massive and very comfy. Bed linen also really nice. good in amenities, with teabags, coffee and biscuits replenished every day.
The service at old Harry rocks wasn’t brilliant, we were ignored for several minutes when we arrived to check in for our table. The pool area was really busy, which is understandable on a hot summers weekend, but it was actually almost impossible to get in the pool and there is no way anyone could swim. There were lots of people with day passes, they should really be limited to make sure there’s room for guests. We did manage to get a sun lounger with the help of the very lovely staff. However, a very noisy family with a very loud barking dog somewhat ruined the relaxing vibe. Dogs by pools in hotels is a strange concept though I would not object as long as the staff insured that the owners stopped them barking every five minutes, and stop the kids shouting at the dog. Not very chilled.
Everything was perfect. Thanks🥰
Everyone was incredibly friendly and amazing, making my birthday truly unforgettable. The professional staff went above and beyond by upgrading my room and leaving a lovely surprise cake, while the facilities themselves were absolutely amazing!
We changed rooms after check-in because we were given an attic room with a very low sloping ceiling a tiny window so high up you couldn't see out of it and the room was tiny. Second room was fine but a noisy generator outside and noisy air conditioning unit inside. Bathroom great, really powerful shower. Comfy bed, fluffy towels, reception and cleaning staff lovely. Pool packed but it's the school holidays so expected really.
See above. Noisy room due to generator outside and air conditioning inside. Dogs allowed everywhere! Around the pool, in the restaurants, barking and jumping up. Towels on Sun loungers to "reserve" them when not being used. Breakfast not great and expensive. Bar closes at 11.30pm with staff hoovering up around you whilst you're trying to relax and have a drink and a chat.
Luxury annex apartment, perfect for 2 x adults and 2 x children (age 6 & &). Super clean with high quality finish.
- location of annex was the other side of the car park - Length of time to get a coffee from the bar near the pool - cost of parking £27 - further information required on complimentary items
Just stunning. Everything was lovely!
Totally overpriced . Not luxury. I feel ripped off.
We did not arrive until 7.45pm dinner booked for 8.30. We did not even finish the meal and were told we had to leave the terrace at 10am.
Amazing pool facilities and a 100m from the beach to go for a walk/swim. Great location, genuinly felt like a break at a Med resort.
Beautiful design and very rich & clean
Nothing love the Nici second time there & be going again
Location
I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding the condition of the room. The room and bathroom are dirty, there is dust everywhere, and the air conditioning units are full of dust and extremely noisy. Furthermore, the mattress is old and far too soft, making it impossible to sleep. Please address these cleanliness and maintenance issues immediately.

Absolutely loved our stay! Room was great, very comfortable and quiet. Slippers and dressing gown in room as well as a nice selection of teas and decent coffee machine too. The food was delicious, we had dinner in the South Beach restaurant and it was excellent value from the set menu. (Would 100% recommend the chocolate pudding!). We also had some nibbles in the Harry Rocks restaurant and loved the hummus and bread selections especially. The outdoor pool looked just like the pictures and the overall vibe was very chilled. All the staff were all very helpful at every part of the stay. You can see the sea from the hotel and the beach was easily accessible within five mins walk via the zig zag slopes to the right, or a ten min walk to the pier to the left. Would definitely recommend a stay here for a special occasion.
Everything - the staff were top notch. I did feel bad for the guy that set up the sun-beds, he was so polite about giving out towels at 8am, he even said to the guest I will put the towels down for you at 8 so you don’t have to come down (it was 7.30am) but 1 male guest was rude to him and he said I will get them myself
At the back of the hotel, where you can access the beach there were cars full of men who had clearly slept overnight - I felt a little uneasy going for an early beach walk.
Location beautiful, rooms beautiful, breakfast was good, service was outstanding.
Area around outdoor pool got muddy and slippy occasionally, maybe needed mopping every so often. Food and drinks quite expensive.
Excellent location and really good facilities.
Poor condition of the rooms. Dirty ventilation units , water was liking constantly on our window . Make it hard to open for fresh air. And they charge us a deposit by the days we stay not as a £100 deposit stated on the booking was £100 per day you stay . Also £27 for each night for parking is a bit to much when you are their guests.
Staff view
Wedding reception taking over hotel and dirty basement rooms
We really liked the hotel’s decor and overall aesthetic. It has a trendy, stylish feel and creates a lovely atmosphere throughout, making it a great place to stay.
We stayed over a weekend and were surprised by how many children were around the pool area, we were expecting an exclusive hotel pool particularly given we paid £280 for just one night. Given the style and positioning of the hotel, we feel an adults-only area or designated adults-only pool times would be a great addition. Unfortunately, the pool was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel, but we didn’t really get the opportunity to enjoy it during our stay. We knew when booking that we had chosen one of the smaller “cosy” rooms, as we were only staying for one night, so we expected it to be compact. However, it was very, very small essentially just enough space for the bed, with very little room to move around comfortably.
The location is excellent, right by the seafront and convenient for everything Bournemouth has to offer. Unfortunately, this was really the only aspect of our stay that we particularly enjoyed.
Unfortunately, there was very little we liked about the hotel beyond its location. The room was dirty and clearly not cleaned to the standard you would expect from a hotel of this price and positioning. The communal areas were also untidy and unkempt, with rubbish and room-service trays left outside rooms, and the windows were visibly filthy. The service was poor throughout our stay. There appeared to be very few staff around the hotel or pool, and on occasions nobody answered reception. Room service took over an hour and a half to arrive despite us having to chase it, and when it finally arrived, the food was disappointing. We also found the restaurant service poor and the food below the standard we expected. The pool area was busy with no availability, and the hotel was noisy, with large groups and hen parties. This was not the relaxing, high-end hotel experience we had expected from the website and marketing. We also found Bournemouth itself extremely disappointing. It felt very run-down, tired and unappealing, and was certainly not what we had expected. However, we did walk along to Westbourne, which was a completely different experience — much nicer, more pleasant and with some lovely independent shops. Overall, the hotel felt dirty, poorly maintained and poorly managed. We had booked The Nici because we wanted the hotel itself to be the destination for a relaxing weekend, but we ended up spending much of our time elsewhere. We even considered leaving after the first night. The biggest disappointment was the gap between how the hotel is presented online and the reality of the experience. We won’t be staying at the Nici chain again.
The pool area
Service could be better £27 per night to park in the car park Expensive Breakfast had to be sent back as overcooked . We had a message booked in the spa for my wife’s birthday which was cancelled on the day due to no staff. Hotel needs to be better for the costs of food and drinks , No birthday gift or mention in the hotel even though we told them. Try to charge for everything .
Amazing in every way
Food let them down 😞
Beautiful surroundings and cleanliness.
None
Great feeling from the entrance through to the internal and external pool, the gym, the two restaurants, the rooms. We had excellent sunshine so truly felt on holiday.
All great
The room and location were all perfect.
The price
Locations and facilities
Service in the main Restaurant was terrible never experienced anything like it had my 17 month year-old with us for dinner over two hours to wait for main course and staff did not make us aware that it would be such a long wait really let the whole experience down
Everything
Everything
Nothing to fault. The room was a fair size for a couple of nights. The facilities are second to none. Great gym, spa and the outdoor pool is fantastic. Drink prices are reasonable for a hotel of this caliber. The breakfast was fantastic and we have an great evening meal one night. Love it.
Seeing everyone put their towels down early doors to secure the best spot and not use the beds for a few hours was interesting.
Rooms and facilities of a high standard.
Restaurant very busy. I was a single guest. Seemed. to be a lot of day visitors. Easy to get overlooked. I accept that I could have been a little more assertive.
We had the cheapest room no view but very nice . Comfortable bed great shower .
People are allowed to smoke in public areas Parking £27 per night if you can get in
Stunning property with a fabulous view of the sea.
Nothing
Dog friendly
The walk back from the beach up hill
Beautiful hotel and spa facilities
Too many people at the outside pool, couldn’t get a sun bed, very overpopulated with children in the outdoor pool
The attention to ensuring the service is excellent was incredible.
Position
No air con Very tired decor Too busy
Really nice location and nice indoor and outdoor pool. Lovely environment.
Restaurant service is a bit slow and we had some issues after massage. Me and my wife had light muscle injury even though we wanted light-balanced massage.
The loacation
the noise on the night we stayed from other guests at 1am in the morning. Room was so hot
Modern, renovated recently
Poor staff attitude
Pool was nice and beds comfortable
Price was expensive
The hotel is stunning clean and so beautiful. Its like ibiza luxury theme.
Paid for 2 double queen rooms and only got 1 queen double and one other room was 2 single beds in a very small room and did not get the items paid for that should of been in the room when we arrived . When we enquired they did give us the champagne we paid for but they could not give us the other queen room as they were fully booked but we paid for the rooms. But their excuse was we will give you 60 pounds off but thats not good enought 60 pounds but we wanted pur proper room and still did not get our proper room we paid for.
Everything was fantastic
My husband and I stayed at the NICI for a weekend in Bournemouth and had a fantastic experience from the moment we checked in. The hotel itself is beautifully designed - very beachy, fun and the most upscale hotel I’ve been to on the English coast. The outdoor pool is gorgeous - large enough to accommodate a full hotel and there’s the indoor pool as well if the weather isn’t great. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and was amazing - top floor with a sea view, spacious and nicely designed. Everyone working at the hotel is SO friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome the entire weekend. I also enjoyed a treatment at the spa which was so lovely and relaxing. It has been a 5/5 experience and we can’t wait to visit again!
Only one elevator and it's small. Small price to pay for a great experience though!
Everything. It was such a lovely relaxing place. Staff were amazing and the room and facilities were amazing. Lived the body wash felt like I was at a spa
Nothing
Lovely spacious room with comfy bed and good air conditioning, nice bathroom, easy parking, nice breakfast and swimming pools. We enjoyed our stay.
Nothing.
Lovely food , excellent room and exceptional service from the staff.
Decor was good
You can’t let people on Harry’s rocks swamp the pool drunk so guests have nowhere to sit or can’t get in pool Air conditioning poor
Coffee wasn't included in the continental breakfast which I found shocking, i think a hot option should also be included. Room was ok, would have expected bigger for a family of 4 including a bath. location is spot on.
Parking charges should not be applicable for guests staying at the establishment. The early dinner service termination at 8:30pm is exceptionally restrictive, and we were not advised of this policy upon arrival. As we have two young children, we were unable to access dinner service when we arrived at 8:45pm. Consequently, we were required to utilize room service, which offered limited options consisting primarily of sandwiches. This was highly disappointing. Coffee is not included in the bed and breakfast rate and incurs an additional charge. Service charges are applied to all items, including instances where guests serve themselves beverages, which is concerning. Overcrowding around the pool as it seemed that additional day guests were allowed (should be restricted) Kids club - no one there to occupy children/lack of toys.
Beautiful setting and comfy beds. Lovely finish in rooms but expensive for standard rooms with view of the travel lodge.
Too busy, slow service from staff. Outside closes too early for drinks in the evening, very expensive. Children of other guests not kept under control at the pool. The lift only holds two people to you have to wait an along time and walk up onto high floors.Parking £27 a day not explained until you collect the car. You can hear the rooms above you
Stunning setting, immaculate decoration and a very chilled atmosphere
The service was at times slow so that could be improved given the price point.
I have stayed in the winter and loved it . But in the summer it was fantastic just like being abroad x
Nothing i loved it all
The location was perfect
The additional bed for our son was worse than sleeping on the floor. The hotel felt too busy, weddings, birthday parties going on it felt like the hotel couldnt accommodate the other hotel guests in terms of dinner etc. Some menu choices sold out. Felt very crowded and unrelaxing. Pool extremely busy
Everything! Great location and facilities
The restaurant was excellent and the meals we have were impressive. The staff throughout are very helpful, especially at the pool.
We felt badly let down as we were told the hotel was step free. My wife is disabled and uses a walker or wheelchair. It was very difficult for her to get to the pool and it needed two fit adults to help her up.If we had known this we would not have booked. Also there are no toilets at the pool level which means you have to take a lift everything you want to go to the toilet. Although the hotel has been modernised very effectively the lifts are very small and it was difficult to get even a small wheelchair in one.
What a brilliant stay we were made very welcome and the staff were so friendly engaged in conversations and ensure you was always satisfied
Light, airy, excellent facilities
Noisy. Restaurant was quite restrictive, food was average
They upgraded us which was nice
No Long mirror, dressing table not near mirror, no hook to put towel on when you shower. Shower leaks all over floor when you have it on
Amazing stay best hotel in the UK

Lovely hotel. Booked a cozy room but was upgraded on arrival which was very welcome. Very clean with AC - much needed in 31 degrees! Real holiday vibe. Loved it. Wish we'd booked for longer.
Pool was quite busy but it was boiling hot and we got there late - still managed to get loungers though. Would be good if they allowed you to use pool facilities beyond 1pm on day of checkout. But that's my only gripe.
