Avevamo ricevuto autorizzazione al check-in a lasciare la spesa nel frigorifero della stanza per recuperarla dopo un’escursione, così da ottimizzare i tempi prima di un lungo viaggio. Al check-out abbiamo quindi lasciato la spesa, ma al rientro abbiamo trovato la scomparsa di diversi prodotti (due bistecche, wurstel, salame e formaggio), mentre altri articoli erano stati restituiti. Alla richiesta di spiegazioni ci è stato mostrato un frigorifero vuoto e messa in dubbio la presenza stessa degli alimenti acquistati. La situazione è risultata inaccettabile, anche perché eravamo le uniche ospiti quindi piuttosto facile dubitare di qualcuno dello Staff. Paradossalmente, l’organizzazione anticipata della spesa, fatta proprio su autorizzazione della struttura, ci ha fatto perdere più tempo rispetto a farla dopo l’escursione. In sintesi, la struttura è carina ma il personale si è dimostrato poco affidabile e non professionale. Non la sceglieremmo di nuovo, anche per il pessimo rapporto qualità/prezzo riscontrato in Sudafrica. Un’esperienza molto negativa che ha compromesso il giudizio complessivo del soggiorno.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this fantastic guesthouse. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and featured a breathtaking view of the bay. Each morning started with a delicious, freshly prepared fruit salad and a full English breakfast. The exceptionally friendly staff made us feel right at home. The location is ideal—scenic and tranquil, yet convenient to all the local amenities. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish, with truly nothing to dislike. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back!

This was a perfect place to stay. Rooms were large and very comfortable. The pool was lovely to swim in and the gardens were beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent with good choices. The staff very welcoming and hospitable.

Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden und die Unterkunft hat all unsere Erwartungen erfüllt.

Was heisst gefallen ... das war ein bisschen tricky: Wir hatten ein relativ grosses Auto gemietet und die Auffahrt zum Apartment hat es in sich: Sehr steil und eng und deshalb war es war ein bisschen schwierig auf den Innenhof zum Parken zu gelangen. Aber mit ein bisschen "Kurbeln" haben wir das auch geschafft.

Gästehaus lag am Hang zur Stadtmitte von Mossel Bay. Besonders schön arrangierte Zimmer mit riesigem Bad und guten Betten. Den Blick morgens aus dem Terrassenfester ging über die Dächer der Stadt bis weit in die vorgelagerte Meeresbucht. Frühstück: alles was man so brauchte, frisch und geschmackvoll gemacht.

The room, breakfast arrangement and in particular the shuttle taxi service for restaurants in the evening was excellent. The team were attentive but discrete about it. The location is very good, close to the Diaz museum, indoor market and the Point. The route to the guest house is very direct and simple.

The only niggle was the access/exit from the parking. The gateway turning can be a fiddle - particularly if other guests are faffing about!

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht da. Sauber. Schöne Terrassen. Auf der Frühstücksterasse fehlt ein Sonnenschutz.

Beautiful big bedroom. Went for the honeymoon suite which had a great deck and views over the town. Lovely breakfast.

Parking was tight. Instructions to access the property from the main rod were not clear, and it took some time to find the property entrance. Staff were not very forthcoming about local information and didn't hear about the free shuttle bus until the end of our stay. Not the friendliest of welcomes on arrival.

The bed meets to be exchanged. If you sleep with 2 person you will recognize every turn your partner will do. What doesn’t fit to the expectation and self description of the accomodation

It was wonderful to be back at The Singing Kettle. We had lovely walks on the beach, and loved our delicious food and vibe at Enrico’s just below us. The rooms are lovely and all have a large balconies where one can sit and look out to sea- or the beach. The staff are very friendly. We’ll be back!

The breakfast was amazing and flavorful . The staff was friendly & helpful especially Michelle. They helped us to bring up and down our heavy luggage . They were so attentive and make us feel welcomed and special. The welcome shots and juice was such an amazing gesture. Will definitely be back very soon.

The view is absolutely amazing. The staff friendly and at your service. Breakfast was delicious. Home was very clean. They also have a free shuttle service to selected restaurants closed by.

When the sun rises you will wake up either because of no black out curtains or the outside noise! We were there in February and as there is no air conditioning be prepared for a hot room at night. The fridge is very noisy so you better turn off during night. Length of the bad is 1.8m

The room was boiling hot, due to being a top floor wooden cabin. The air conditioner did not work and staff said because owner did not want to fix it. It was about 40 degrees inside. Not the staff’s fault but they were helpless.

This was our second visit to Aquamarine and again we found the accomodation to be of an exceptional standard. Vanessa, the lady who runs the place very efficiently, is always so friendly and willing to be of any assistance that she can to make your stay super comfortable and better than many 5 star hotels. Our room was spacious, very clean, so well equipped and provided with lovely shampoo, shower gel, soap etc. There is a microwave, kettle and crockery if you want to eat in your room. The breakfast is fantastic, so much choice and all feshly prepared. Also a free shuttle/taxi service after 6pm to many of the restaurants in the lower part of the town. Thanks for anotger enjoyable stay, we hope to return in the future.

Gated parking is good but a bit tricky to manoeuvre if you have a large vehicle. Marsh Street is steep so quite a hike back up the hill.

Had a one night stay but wish it had of been longer. Room was lovely with great amenities which would have made for a pleasant longer stay. Amazing views. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Would recommend this location

Vanessa & her co worker are amazing, polite, attentive and a credit to this guest house. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean and tidy and a fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice. Great sea views with good secure parking and a shuttle service to and from a variety of local restaurants.

A little bit of road noise and the room curtains could be thicker to help block out light to aid sleep.

Ein wunderschöner Empfang mit ein Willkommens Drink. Wow, was für ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und reichhaltig . Wer hier nicht übernachtet ist selber schuld. Sehr empfehlenswert.
