Reviewed Apr 2, 2026I enjoyed the Peace and tranquility. Being in nature is priceless . Away from the city . Waking up to all the bird sounds . The monkeys in the bush was entertaining. The staff was very helpful and pleasant . My bed was massive and very comfortable. Clean towels . Coffee , Tea , sugar & milk and cleaning supplies available in my room . Having you own fireplace was lovely .
Everything was 100% . You do need to be a nature / bush lover . The enviro is absolutely beautiful. Food for the soul for sure .

The unit was perfect with two large en suite bedrooms, (one upstairs) a well equipped kitchen and a lounge/dining area, under cover patio with a braai and its own small fenced garden area. Perfect for containing a two year old. Very comfortable and homely. We will definitely be back for longer.
We loved absolutely everything. (Someone expecting a beachy Plett holiday may not like the quietness or distance from the sea/restaurants so know what you are booking.)

Our hostess, Cheri, was so welcoming and friendly and made it feel like home from the minute we arrived. Nothing was too much and our visit exceeded our expectations because of her. We immediately made our next booking at check out and we cannot wait to come back again.
There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like. Our stay was magnificent.

Celý dům má zvukově velmi prostupné stěny, tj. je slyšet každý krok mezi pokoji. Na přespání je to fajn, na delší pobyt by to asi nebylo ideální. Kuchyně je hned u vchodových dveří (tj. dovnitř se chodí přes kuchyni) a je poměrně stísněná.

The microwave was just taking long to warm up our food, It probably needs some fixing.

The cottage (Sunbird) is equipped with absolutely everything you need. The attention to detail is superb! An added bonus is that it's pet friendly. Our hostess was friendly and went out of her way to accommodate us.
Got to watch out for snakes.

Reviewed Mar 4, 2025I loved the location, peaceful and quiet. Friendly host. Situated well away from everything bird song waking you in the morning. We had an unexpected upgrade so we could all be in the same house as we originally booked a double room and an apartment. The guests who were in the big house left early so he offered us the chance to stay together at no extra cost, very thoughful. Love that it's pet friendly too. Felt safe. loved being around forest and trees. Enjoyed the pool to cool off after a sweaty day it is well maintained and a good size. I also loved how dark it got at night time. It was easy to wake up late and felt like a real holiday with no pressures of time or body clock waking me up.
The road to get there are big potholes and a bit rough, my car made it and its not a 4x4 we had to take more care while driving. The pool steps were quite deep. One of my party wanted to swim but was scared to use of the deep steps into and out of the pool. They are fine for young and active legs but not for older and more physically challenged. I didn't like that we only got to stay 4 nights:(
