Basilica Hotel

La estadía estuvo muy bien. Lo que más nos encantó fue la ubicación, realmente excelente para recorrer Roma. Está a solo una cuadra de la Basílica de Santa María la Mayor, un lugar muy especial para nosotros los argentinos por ser donde está sepultado el Papa Francisco 🇦🇷. El personal fue siempre muy amable y atento. Nos sentimos cómodos durante toda la estadía y la ubicación hizo que pudiéramos movernos muy fácilmente por la ciudad. En la esquina tiene una Gelateria excelente.

Las habitaciones no tienen demasiada aislación acústica, por lo que se escuchan algunos ruidos. De todas maneras, después de caminar Roma durante todo el día llegábamos tan cansados que no fue un gran problema 😅. El Wi-Fi también se caía por momentos, aunque nada que afectara demasiado nuestra experiencia.

Heel erg vriendelijk personeel, heel proper en goed ontbijt. Ook de ligging was ideaal en toch met een rustige tuin. Het hotel ligt vlak bij de hop-on-hop-off bushalte. Echt een aanrader!!

Viajé con mi mamá y mi abuela de 87 años y estuvimos súper cómodas. La habitación era amplia y, aunque llevábamos muchas maletas —y terminamos con algunas más por las compras 😅—, tuvimos espacio de sobra. La ubicación es excelente, cerca de todo, pero al mismo tiempo muy tranquila y sin ruido. El desayuno, ¡top! Todo muy limpio y el servicio de todo el personal fue siempre amable y atento. Sin duda me volvería a quedar. Me pareció un lugar divino y tuvimos una experiencia excelente. ✨💕

Very disappointing experience — misleading advertising I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. First of all, we paid an additional €70 specifically for a room with a view, but our room was overlooking the courtyard. We paid extra for a feature that was simply not provided. We believe the €70 should be refunded. Secondly, the soaps and shampoos were stale, extremely poor quality and practically unusable. The towels were also of poor quality and certainly not what we expected from a hotel of this standard. But the most disappointing part is the advertising. The hotel is advertised as having a view of the Basilica, which is simply not true.. Thats the view from another Hotel... This is, in our opinion, misleading advertising and gives guests completely false expectations when making a reservation. Overall, we feel that we paid significantly more than the actual experience was worth. The room, amenities and especially the misleading description of the view were all a major disappointment. We would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again. We expect the additional €70 paid for the “view” to be refunded.

ottima posizione per visitare la maggior parte dei monumenti di roma, la camera molto grande attrezzatissima, cassaforte, frigo bar, bollitore con the, camomilla e infuso di caffe, bagno con doccia grande, grande tv, tutto perfettamente in ordine e pulito, stanza silenziosissima, la colazione con una vastita' di dolce e salato a buffet, e tutte le possibili bevande per un ottima colazione, per finire la terrazzina della colazione con vista basilica DI S.M.MAGGIORE...fantastica.

The location was excellent. It is very close to a subway stop making it very convenient to get around Rome. It’s very near the Colosseum, the Spanish steps, and the Trevi fountain, and other points of interest. The breakfast that was provided was excellent and while the rooms were clean and somewhat comfortable they are air-conditioned but the air-conditioning isn’t wonderful. It’s a very nice hotel and excellent value.

The air conditioning could be better. I think a fan would be helpful.

Tolle und ruhige Atmosphäre im Hotel, Einrichtung klassisch, römisch, mit Geschmack. Oase der Ruhe in lebendiger Stadt. Gefiel uns sehr gut, freundliches Personal, super Lage, fussläufig zum Kolosseum.

Dass beim Einchecken Personalausweise über eine Stunde einbehalten wurden, löst komisches Gefühl bzgl. Datenschutz aus. Man muss sie zeigen, ist mir bewusst, aber kein anderes italienisches Hotel behielt sie so lange ein. Leider haben wir den Garten im Innenhof nicht gefunden. Leider häufig kurzer Stromausfall, 10-15 Min, waren im heißen August 2026 dort. Ohne diese genannten Punkte hätte ich 10 Punkte vergeben.

Ubicación buena en el barrio di Monti, el personal amable y cuidadoso con los huéspedes. Habitaciones espaciosas y muy bonitas, lavabo muy completo. Tiene un patio interior muy agradable para desayunar y descansar. La ubicación nos resultó muy cómodo para desplazarse dentro del centro de Roma. Recomiendo este hotel

En booking pone que tiene parking gratis y cuando llegas tiene un coste de 25€/ día, solo estaría bien que lo pusiera la información en booking

L’emplacement est très correct et permet de tout faire à pied (ou à vélo !). La chambre est confortable et la clim très appréciée. Le personnel est adorable et parfois parle français (en plus de l’anglais évidemment), dans tous les cas ils sont arrangeants et très gentils !

Le petit-déjeuner est correct et varié dans l’ensemble mais manque de fraîcheur (du surgelé parfois ?), c’est dommage.

Cercanía al Goliseo, y estación Termini, ubicado sobre avenida Limpieza Decoración Desayuno increíble super completo y lleno de opciones saladas y dulces Habitación muy grande con excelentes detalles de servicio ( champú acondicionador secador de cabello, higiene íntima, pañuelos descartables, cafés y té y mini heladera con dos aguas de cortesía) Recomiendo ampliamente! Y obvio volveremos siempre allí

This was our first time visiting Rome and we were so pleased with Basilica Hotel. The rooms were spacious and super clean, the breakfast was very delicious. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything. On our second night the AC didn’t work in our rooms because of a technical issue, the reception provided us with different rooms that has a working AC. All of the rooms were amazing. Thank you so much!

The staff were friendly and the location excellent. 10 mins walk from train station and same to the colosseum. Area around had very good restaurants too. We loved the style of the hotel. High ceilings, very ornate.

Everything was really fantastic. Only one thing was my mattress was not very comfortable. It was a twin room.

O hotel é incrível, e o café da manhã é simplesmente maravilhoso. A variedade impressiona, com opções capazes de agradar aos mais diferentes gostos e necessidades alimentares, desde quem segue uma alimentação sem glúten até quem prefere uma dieta low carb. Tudo é muito bem apresentado e pensado para proporcionar uma excelente experiência aos hóspedes.

Great base for exploring the sights of Rome and.5 mimutes walk from the Termini station. Comfortable bed, good shower and very clean. Breakfast was a decent choice of dishes.

Heerlijk ruime kamer, fantastische ligging in de wijk Monti.

The rooms were a nice size and the beds were really comfy. Free water bottles in the little fridge with a refill station inside the hotel. The hotel itself was what I was looking for as far a the Italian feel.

The only downside was that their was quite a bit of light in the room at night starting with the light below the fridge, the flashing light of the alarm(for the door I believe)and the light coming from the thermostats at night it wasn’t fully dark.

The hotel was amazing. Great value for money and the staff were so helpful and friendly. In a great central location also, we managed to do all of the Rome highlights in 48 hours from this location We would not hesitate to go back to this hotel next time

Locatie was top. 10 minutes van colosseum, 10 minutes van station termini en Binnen half uur bij Spaanse trappen/pantheon etc. ontbijt was heel prima. Vriendelijke en behiplzame bediening. Kamers waren elke dag goed schoon gemaakt. Badkamer was ruim en netjes, wel miste Ik een handdouche (alleen regendouche)

Eigenlijk niets. Alleen hotel had geen bar of iets dergelijks, als je daarvan houd dan zou dat minpunt zijn. Wij hebben het niet echt gemist, om de hoek zat leuke plek om iets te drinken.

We arrived in Rome and the temp was 40 degrees. We were told to arrive at a certain time and the room was not ready. We were also told the AC would be working later on in the evening which was a lie. We spent two days with no AC in a heat wave.

Great location, hotel was clean. Unfortunately AC didn’t work our entire stay, but the staff were accommodating by lending us fans.

Die Lage ist hervorragend, nicht mitten im Trubel Roms, aber sehr nah am historischen Zentrum. Das Hotel ist teil einer Klosteranlage mit begrünten Innenhof, der Ruhe ausstrahlt. Unmittelbar in der Nähe beginnt das entzückende Viertel Monti mit netten Geschäften, Restaurants und Bars.

Für Rom etwas schade, dass es auf dem Zimmer nur löslichen Kaffee gab.

Aamiainen oli raikas, vihreä ja monipuolinen. Maisema aamiaisterassilta suoraan Santa Mario Maggioreen toi aamuun tuulahduksen ja tuoksun Rooman kaupungin hienosta historiasta.

The air conditioning was not quite cool enough for us to sleep. The mattress was a bit hard.

The hotel was great. Room was very spacious (myself and 2 kids in same room) and clean, beds were super comfortable. Best thing about the hotel is the location. We found Monti a fantastic area to stay. So close to the Colosseum. We did lots of walking and didnt find it too far from any of the key sights really. It is a vibrant neighbourhood but i didnt find it too busy, in fact i found the vibe there quite chilled. Lots of restaurants and bars. The only downside to the hotel was that it didnt have a bar, could really have done with one, as we were there during the heatwave and so often back at the hotel for a few hoúrs during the hottest part of the day. Overall though would recommened the hotel and definitely Monti.

Зручне розташування, привітний персонал на рецепції . Сам готель хоч і не новий, але є все необхідне, мені було там дуже затишно.

Мабуть завищена трохи ціна, але ж то центр.
