Reviewed Aug 27, 2026The hotel rooms with ironing board & great continental breakfast & very brilliant staff will attend to you & they try to resolve any issues you have, such as my mobile phone wouldn't turn on but the staff tried they best to resolve it even to the point of getting me details of where I solve my issues even a call out service for phones with issues,which I felt really great I would definitely stay @ the Cambridge Hotels again

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Centrally located opposite a supermarket, which was very convenient. The room was small but lovely, included a fridge, iron and ensuite bathroom and everything was in working order. Staff were super helpful and breakfast was great!
There was no sanitary bin in the bathroom and the hotel was off a very busy road that didn't have much in the way of crossings!

Although the bedroom was general clean,l have noticed 3 tiny small pieces of hair in the shower and also what it seemed like a small tiny dried bogie nose but that didn’t put me off enjoying my shower once I got rid off those.Im a very OCD person so to some those could have gone unnoticed but not to me.The floor could be perhaps mopped…

Evening staff were rude though I found the morning staff friendly. I was anxious to stay at a hotel by myself for the first time so I asked my fiance to at least help me go up and get settled. I understand that I was not allowed guests but the way this was conveyed was rude. They allowed my fiance to go up but we found that the AC was not working so my fiance went down to get some help and we were given a fan instead. We then got an abrupt phone call that my fiance was in my room for too long but this was because we were trying to get the AC to work by ourselves and he had to make his own way down and up to sort out an alternative for me. I understand there are policies but this can be conveyed in a kind and professional manner.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026The room is very functional and clean but with not much flare. It is ok if you just need to stay for one or two nights.
The area doesn't feel very safe. I arrived and there was a police car outside the premises, not a great welcome. My room was overlooking some big air vents outside that would go off every 20/30 minutes all night. I barely managed to get any sleep. The walls are also very thin and you can hear everything.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026The property was in a location about 30 minutes walk from the city centre and had its own parking. It was easy to access from one of the main roads around the city centre. Staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was on the small side but well equipped with a fridge, TV, kettle, iron & ironing board and well stocked with tea and coffee. Breakfast was included in our price and was continental but with scrambled eggs, sausage and beans as an option. All in all ideal for our one night stay and a great price.
The hotel is a little dated inside but this is a minor thing compared to all the positives.

The location wasn’t exactly central. It was on the side of a dual carriageway in some sort of industrial estate. I stayed in my room for the evening as I didn’t feel totally safe wandering to the centre for food or a drink. Not a great location if you’re on foot.

I could live with the bedding being worn / torn in one place. That the corridors and stairs still had bits of rubbish (tissues, walk in dirt and a sweet wrapper or two) after housekeeping has been left me frustrated. And then there was the sticky spot in front of the fridge in my room.

The room layout was strange, it felt like a prison cell. There was lots of noise, thumping, shouting, twice someone loudly knocked on our door, one was house keeping, the other some children messing about. The whole experience was quite unpleasant, so we left and found somewhere else to stay, as neither of us felt comfortable enough to think we'd have a sound night's sleep.

Elevator access to the different floors. Free overnight parking available for guests. Pretty good for a budget accommodation.
The shower was very small and not cleaned properly (hair and discolouration), and the light in the toilet didn’t work at all (room 233). The room was in need of a deep clean, and there was a fair amount of noise at night.

There was also A/C which was helpful as it was really hot outside. Breakfast was again very simple, but also here, appropriate value for what was paid. Free parking onsite was an additional benefit.

Just one comment I would like to advise is that as Sundays are a busier day, please make sure there is sufficient food during breakfast as it was getting tight for some customers.

It was tricky to find the entrance, and I drove past twice! The sign by the main road goes to great lengths to advertise what tonight's room rate is, but if it also included an arrow to say which way to get in that would really help!

I would also highly rate the other people working there mainly at breakfast and how kind and helpful they were. The bed was king size and extremely comfortable. The room had all you need and even a fridge.
The only problem was the size of the loo a bit small.
