Beautiful intimate resort nestled in the mountains. It was so lovely, they offered so many free activities such as yoga, mixology classes, meditation, bread making classes, etc. The resort is not overcrowded, they have just the perfect amount of rooms for the scale of the property. I would 100% recommend staying here, the staff, the service, the food, the pool, everything is amazing!

Beautiful property and staff

Excellent location and service ! The food was outstanding!!! Everything that we tried was delicious!!! The rooms are so well decorated and the fireplace is just perfect!!! We love it and definitely recommend and we will definitely do it again ❤️

The hotel itself was simply magic: kind, attentive staff, immaculate rooms, gorgeous views of the cliffs of Tepotzlan, enjoyed lounging by the pool

I have stayed at a lot of luxary resorts all over the world, this was BY FAR the best one I have ever stayed at. I have 0 complaints, which is rare for me. Every single thing here was perfect. From the arrivial, they provide you a tour of the property which feels authentic, they take their time to give you the tour (shoutout to Edgardo!) and it felt like they genuinely cared about you. Then, we sat near the pool until 8PM, drinks are served until then which is such a nice feature when hotel check in’s are always at 3-4PM. They have fireplaces by the pool, they provide you with a complementary pool bag and bug spray, along with treats. We then went to dinner on property, which is Michelin star level. Very fast service, and it was open until 10PM. They also had TVs for the World Cup game located in the restaurant, living room area, and pool bar. Santiago was our waitor, and he was great. My stomach was upset one night, and he catered the food to simpler meals. All together we got to try the duck, spring rice, mushroom pozole (THIS was 10/10), chocolate Mexican cake, and guacamole y tostadas. The rooms are incredible, we opted for the below deck with the fireplace and it was so nice to sit outside at night. The rooms are super clean, good flow for a shower, and bathrobes everywhere. Now onto the spa…….. WOW. I had two people working on my back, and my boyfriend got a deep tissue massage. It was the best massage I have ever gotten. They had sound bowls at the end, and the menu for the spa was almost 5 pages to choose from. If you do not go to the spa one day, they have a complementary meditation, followed by yoga every morning. You get coffee and pastries delivered to your room every morning, complementary, and we would sit on the patio before going to yoga. It was, again, amazing. Lastly, the staff. I have always found that I am influenced by how good a hotel is based on the staff, and how they treat you. One evening, we accidentally locked ourselves out of the room (in our bathrobes, oops!) and the staff were there opening the door within 5 minutes. The service was SUPERB. They always had people working, always attending to the clients. And, genuinely nice people. Spanish is obviously their first language, but enough spoke English to get around, and if you have some broken Spanish yourself along with Google translator, you will be just fine. The town (Al Centro) is also super close to the hotel. We would WhatsApp the hotel, and they arranged taxis for us. The same went for a taxi to the airport, the hotel arranged for this, it had AC and was a big car. You can charge it right to the room. I hope to be back here, truly an amazing experience.

There is no privacy in rooms you can hear everything from the top, from the side rooms And if you wanna rest at your balcony the same you may hear everything the other room is chatting The restaurant is delicious The staff is always kind The room Got various things that must be fixed !!! I really think this hotel is overrated for the price you must got an experience… Like many places some things good some things bad.

Las facilidades muy buenas, la alberca, la temperatura de la alberca genial. Los cuartos amplios y limpios. Cuentan con una fogata que es mas vista qué calentador pero muy acogedora y cómoda la terraza. El café a primera hora en la terraza, es gran detalle.

Las almohadas pueden mejorar mucho. Están exageradamente suaves. El menú del restaurante para comida y cena son muy similares, creo debe haber mas variedad y un menú mas extenso y completo. La regadera es de boiler de paso entonces el agua no es constante en temas de temperatura cambia de caliente a hirviendo y no disfrutas un muy buen baño. El room service cierra 10.30 entonces creo que puede mejorar ese horario como en el 99% de los hoteles que es 24 hrs. Pedimos un cafe en la noche y no había y nadie pudo darnos uno después de las 10.30pm.

Stunning setting with the lush grounds and mountain backdrop. Very peaceful and relaxing. Rooms are large and we had a private patio for morning coffee. The restaurant is very good - both dinner and daily breakfast. Staff are incredibly attentive and helpful.

My husban and I recently stayed at Amomoxtli, and it was absolutely wonderful. We were looking for a peaceful escape, and this beautiful property delivered on every front. The environment is breathtakingly serene. We loved spending time by the pool, and the spa services are truly something special—I highly recommend booking the ceremonial temazcal for two and the "harmonize yourself" facial! It was exactly what we needed to completely unwind. What really stood out to us, though, was the incredible service. The staff is exceptionally kind, welcoming, and accommodating, even making sure everything was perfectly sorted for our very early morning departure. We also really appreciated the warm and friendly atmosphere among the other guests at the resort. We loved our stay and would absolutely love to return in the future. If you want a beautiful, relaxing getaway with top-tier staff, Amomoxtli is the perfect place to go!

A short taxi ride into town, lovely and helpful reception, a smaller boutique hotel with the most delicious food, drinks, beautiful mountain views, and feel of being secluded in the jungle. We indulged in the outdoor massages, which were lovely, but there were many other treatments and included activities that looked interesting. We skipped the sauna and tub in favour of the pool, the mountain views were unbeatable. Felt quiet, exclusive, and serene. Would stay again!

Wonderful place to say, gorgeous grounds, super helpful staff.

We felt right at home when we arrived. The service is impeccable and kind. We stayed in the Turquesa room which was nice and big with a balcony. There are a few things to note: The decor could use some updating. Pool closes at 8pm which is a bit sad There’s a long list of rules to abide by. All in all however, this property is magical and the staff is kind and always there for you.

Fantastic hotel, very careful attention to detail; they treated us like royalty. The facilities on the view are amazing and the comfort in the room rooms are 2nd to none.

We had an excellent time at Amomoxtli. The resort is a little difficult to get to but with the trip to experience. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend traveling here.

The experience - from the room to the staff to restaurant to the pool and spa - was absolute luxury. The breakfast in particular was top end, and we were able to completely relax during our stay.

Went to escape CDMX for a weekend. Would have stayed at the actual hotel had I not already pre-booked other accommodation. But the Spa Day was perfect and absolutely worth the money. Had one of the best massages of my life (Ask for Claudia!). Truly worth the money, especially if you go early and stay until the end. I would come back here monthly.

The property is beautiful, the staff is attentive and the service is fantastic. They deliver a basket with your preference of coffee or tea w cookies to your door every morning. The included breakfast was delicious! Book it!

Nothing to dislike about the property itself. It is a little far from the city center- a 20 min walk or 10 min taxi ride. But you can ask for the front office to call a taxi for you and on the way back the taxi drivers knew the location.

The site is lovely, well kempt and beautiful views. The pool area is kept really clean and the parasol man is very attentive. The reception and restaurant staff were also excellent.

We found the bar staff a bit sullen, not helped by a guy who appeared to be the bar manager unable to smile! Whilst, the pool bar is open until 7pm, the lack of a guest bar after that time is a bit strange. Frankly, the drinks were insultingly expensive anyway!

Je kan er niet ongestoord een boek lezen en je komt hier om te genieten van natuur en rust. Je hoort aan het zwembad zelfs 2 muziekbronnen, die van het zwembad en het restaurant. Terribile! Jammer. Iedereen heeft zijn eigen smaak en moet maar oortjes insteken.

El desayuno bueno. Solicité mermelada para un pan conmantequilla y me dijeron que no tenían mermelada. En la noche pedí para merienda un poco de fruta y yogur y me dijeron que esas cosas no están en el menu de merienda. La cecina es muy mala en una región en donde este producto es muy bueno.

No tiene ningun tipo de apoyo o seguridad parapersonas de la tercera edad o con alguna incapacidad, Para estas personas es casi imposible caminar por sus corredores empedrados e irregulares pues no tienen barandales

Poolside relaxation was effortless, with beds always available. The staff went above and beyond, especially the front desk team who assisted us seamlessly over WhatsApp with taxis and even late-night cravings. A beautifully run property that feels both luxurious and genuinely caring—we can’t wait to return.

Staying here made this one of the best birthdays ever. The location has absolutely breathtaking views and ambiance in every part of the property. Food/beverages was amazing as well as the daily activities such as yoga, meditation, guided walks through the town and more. The spa services are also to die for. But the best part is the staff. Everyone is extremely attentive and they are able to anticipate your every need. It is truly a luxury stay! Special shout out to our main concierge during our stay, Antonio. At a certain point I definitely felt my family was a bit needy with requests, however day after day, he assisted us with all our needs gracefully, timely and with such warmth! Because of him this will definitely be my go to choice of accommodation whenever I am in the area again :)

Amomoxtli is, without exaggeration, one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life and I’ve traveled quite a bit. Staying here was a completely random choice; we were on our way to a wedding in Jiutepec and decided to make a pit stop in Tepoztlán. It ended up becoming the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment you walk in, you feel an immediate sense of peace. The grounds are unbelievably beautiful, lush, serene, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed in a courtyard room, which made accessing the amenities so easy and convenient. Every morning, a little basket gets delivered to your door with coffee which quickly became my favorite part of the day. I looked forward to it every single morning!! We stayed for four days and booked massages and treatments on three of those days. They were some of the most incredible spa experiences I’ve ever had. Alexandra and Claudia were absolutely fantastic, so talented, warm, and professional. I highly, highly recommend booking treatments during your stay. They are worth every second. The restaurant, Mesa de Origen, was another standout. The space is stunning, the service was exceptional, and the décor was on point. The menu was unlike anything I’ve ever tried — creative, elevated, and beautifully thought out in every detail. The pool service team also deserves special recognition. Iraudis took such amazing care of us all three days, always making sure we had everything we needed and keeping us fed! The only thing to note is that there’s no gym on the property, but honestly, after doing the brutal Tepozteco hike, you won’t even miss it lol. Amomoxtli is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. If you are considering staying here, do it. It’s pure magic.I think about this place every day since I got back!

I think it’s a very nice hotel, the amenities are okay. The views are pretty great. I really loved the amenities they give you early in the morning according to what you love.

I think there are some things that can improve and given it’s an expensive hotel, I’d expect more to be honest in regards of the quality and quantity of food, we had dinner twice out of the 3 nights we stayed there and it’s very expensive vs. quality and quantity. I don’t mind paying high prices but I do mind when the quality does not equal what I’m paying for. Service is good but the waiting is a bit long.

This place is literally as good as it looks. The view on the mountains in insane. The whole property is very green, the pool great and the food is really delicious and healthy. Location is close enough to walk to the town center (30 min). The yoga studio is the most beautiful I have seen.

The overall atmosphere was very tranquil and relaxing! We were taken away by there sheer beauty of this location with the mountain backdrop and amazing views directly from the pool. The room had a natural elegance, unique aroma and was quite comfortable with our very own fireplace! Also, the restaurant (Michelin star) was superb and absolutely delicious! The road getting here is a bit bumpy but all in all worth the experience and very clean with attentive staff.

Excellent service, thoughtful amenities, and the scenery make this stay one of the most special stays we've had. It’s in a great secluded location but an easy walk into Tepoztlan.

This is by far one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to. The mountains surrounding it gives a feeling of being in the middle on nowhere. The restaurant had amazing food, all cooked and prepared onsite. The staff was super friendly and keen to help and provide and unique experience. We only stayed for 1 night so when we left we were wishing we had stayed for a bit longer. We’re planning on making this a regular stay whenever we’re in Mexico.

Gorgeous property. Walking distance to the pyramid hike. Very comfortable beds, loved the coffee delivered to the room in the morning, beautiful breakfast was included and was better than we expected. We also enjoyed the couples spa treatment including the temozcal (sweat lodge) and did a private tantric yoga session which we highly recommend.

This hotel is stunning, nestled at the foothills of some of the most stunning mountains we have ever seen. The property has a natural, tropical environment, calm, relaxing and beautiful. The staff here has been wonderful, they make you feel as if you are the priority , service is seamless and the food and drinks were delicious. Morning coffee or tea service left outside the room in a cut basket, turn down service to included chocolates and Mexican wedding cookies. The town is cute and fun but it was nice to escape into the tropical beauty of this amazing resort. Highly recommend this hotel and a trip to Tepoztlan. ❤️❤️

Gorgeous place. So peaceful. The breakfasts were out of this world-organic, healthy, flavorful. The meditation and yoga classes were right next to the mountain so it was very special. The room was excellent, the staff was attentive and the grounds were beautiful.

Everything about our stay at Amomoxtli was exceptional! From the moment we checked in with Edgardo, we felt taken care of. The grounds, pool and mountain views are gorgeous, and all the staff are so kind and helpful. We enjoyed massages at the spa and took advantage of the daily meditation and yoga practices. We so appreciated the little details like our morning coffee/treat basket and a welcome kit with pool essentials and bug spray. The breakfast is also extremely generous and delicious! Overall, this was the perfect getaway from Mexico City for a few days and we cannot wait to come back.

A lot of services were set up for two people and as a solo traveler, I was expected to pay for two people.
