Superb location. The entire area is spotless, and the apartment is spacious with great facilities. There are plenty of relaxing areas at and away from the pool side. The staff are super friendly and obliging.

La primera habitación, en la zona baja del solárium, era un desastre. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba correctamente, las vistas al mar estaban eclipsadas por las chimeneas de los bares y restaurantes de abajo (incluído olores bastante desagradables a comida) y la imposibilidad de abrir las cortinas de los ventanales porque si no el efecto invernadore calentaba la habitación de forma insoportable. Por cierto que pagamos más por las vistas al mar...

The location was good and the bed was comfy.

the room we were given was very run down sealant around shower was all black and peeling off the walls very much needed a repaint, even to the point we found someone else’s false eyelashes stuck on the wall. Out of the full week our room was only cleaned once and at it was never moped or wiped down the bed was changed and new towels and that was all (it’s not like we had facilities to be able to do this ourselves either), there was ants etc roaming around on the counters and floor and just overall felt quite dirty, unsure if this was just our room as I had read so many good reviews prior to booking but we stayed at a similar apartment/hotel in April that was pretty much half the price and we couldn’t have faulted that one . the sunbed situation around the pool was an absolute joke if you weren’t up by minimum 8am the sunbeds were all gone, we got up at 7 one day to be able to put towels down however by the time we arrived after breakfast someone had took our towels off the beds. There is plenty of space for more sunbeds to be around the pool so I don’t understand why the hotel isn’t accommodating that. Staff at reception were just so rude we asked for late check out to which she snickered at me and said “em when” “no not possible” and then dismissed me, however I have read reviews previously where this was granted for a fee which we were willing to pay for and even when we asked for showers the response to that was also very rude. Which then made it worse when we were given a room to shower in, it was the the room that was directly next door to ours that had been lying empty for the majority of the week when we were there. Don’t get me wrong the gentlemen we dealt with when we checked in was lovely. Just overall quite disappointed with the stay here as I said the the location was perfect but the rest needs improving, the aircon was also terrible I feel if they are charging over £1000 just for apartment for a week then the rooms 100% need a refresh.

Nice apartment. Cleaners came every second day. It’s on a very steep hill, wouldn’t be suited for anyone with mobility problems. Beds at pool all taken by 8.30 ( July) very annoying when towels left on bed. The life guard did remove some but not very many. Beach is right beside so went there instead. Beds at back are €5. Never ate at the restaurant, only for drinks, they were more expensive than most bars but still reasonable. Little shop across the road that has freshly baked bread and cakes and good value.

The breakfast was exceptional,location was brilliant it was up cardiac hill but could use stairs at the side of the Temple Pub made it a lot easier,Pool wa sgreat and kept very clean.

unfortunately you had to be up early for a bed and stay on it ,towels were taken up but this is always the same in every hotel.

L'emplacement est de qualité dans Puerto del Carmen mais rues très animées autour avec des bars karaoké et qui rediffusaient en direct les matchs de coupe de monde de foot ... don certains soirs du bruit tardivement mais cela varié en fonction de la localisation des appartements

On the first day we were told that we were not allowed to book pool beds. However, I felt this was controlled very poorly at times and some days there was no beds available at 11am despite the pool only opening at 10:30am. Also noticed pool beds being 'reserved' with towels despite nobody using them for hours from 7am onwards

The location was great. Fabulous view from our room.

Not enough sun beds abd what sunbeds were there were up on top of each other no space. There was a terrible smell in our room 2107 which we got the first time we entered the room ans each time we enrered. That location was very noisy especially the staff early in the morning. There was a bridge to the relaxation area over the room. I expected more from this hotel and I am sorry to say we were very dissappointed.

The reception staff were able to help us with an early check-in as our flight landed quite early in the morning which we were very grateful for. Our room was located near the bottom of the hill so it meant we didnt have to walk up the hill each time to get to our room 😁. We also had a late flight on check out and the staff we able to get me a temporary room to rest and shower for a small fee which was perfectly acceptable.

Location. Loved the fact that there was no poolside entertainment, it was nice and peaceful. We went in June 2026. Shop right across the road. Not too far from Spar either. Also, we didn’t have to walk up the hill. We used the steps from Murphy’s. It had a filter tap and dressing gowns, nice little extras.

Everything was lovely apart from smell of sewage. We were in apartment behind the toilet along the pool and i think that may have been the problem. We kinda got used of it. I think it was apartment 1119.

Sea view is spectacular. Staff are amazing.

Really modern & very clean, everything you need in an apartment. The filtered water tap is brilliant & even provided washing up liquid & sponge etc. simple but very handy, saves you buying & being wasteful leaving it behind. Staff are helpful too. Food in pool bar is great.

Was very clean, and very well maintained. We were extremely lucky and in a block 1 apartment which was extremely handy and very quiet.

My only concern is that if you were staying in the apartments that back onto the main road or in the lower blocks of block 2 and 3 that you would hear the noise from the bars on the strip as they’re very close to them bars.

Everything about the Kontiki was amazing. The views from the apartment were incredible and the location was spot on. Beds were extremely comfortable and the grounds were spotless!

Steep walk back to apartment

Its location was very good and rooms were well proportioned and furnished.

Breakfast / restaurant was open to the public which meant lots of poolside “guests” where not hotel clients. Pool had a serious issue with algae at each end and little was done to fix it. Maids where selfishly loud on a morning - shouting to each other at 7.30am. Bar area closed at 8pm. Ie as charged €50 to use a room after we checked out of ours which was in the maintanence peoples area and had a bad smell of damp / moisture until AC was put on.

The property is beautiful the pool area and chill out area are brilliant we had a room with a sea view which was lovely all of the staff were very polite and the attention too detail was brilliant too see from the ground staff bar staff receptionists everyone seemed tok work very hard

We stayed at R2 Bahía Kontiki for a week in one of the apartments and had a fantastic stay. The apartment was spotless, and housekeeping came every two days with fresh towels and a full clean. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and was very nice, with the option to have fresh omelettes or scrambled eggs made to order. The pool was right outside our apartment door, which was very convenient, and the whole complex was quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. The location is excellent too – only a two-minute walk from the beach and a great selection of restaurants and bars. The only downside was the hill on the walk back up, but that’s certainly not the hotel’s fault! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

Lovely place and staff excellent

The beds are all gone even though pool not supposed to be open. One day the manager came and took all the towels away which was really good as people were reserving beds for all morning.

La prestation ménage est médiocre. La chambre à notre arrivée n’était pas impeccable. Une prestation ménage a été oubliée et nous avons dû la réclamer. On nous a alors uniquement changé les serviettes et vidé les poubelles. Ces désagréments ont été signalés, aucune excuse ne nous a été formulée. Une petite excuse, un petit sourire du personnel et un café offert auraient pourtant suffit à faire oublier ces désagréments. Dommage

Breakfast was very good. The Hotel staff was very freindly and helpful. Our room with a sea view was very nice. The hotel was not far from the Restarants and shops. Over all a very nice interesting location with out getting bored at all.

I know this is a big problem for all Hotels but please stop guests from reserving sun chairs from early in the morning until the end of the day with out being there. This applyed to the swimming pool and the roof top sun chairs

Great heated pool, especially fantastic for kids. Clean. Very good breakfast. Very close to the beach and to restaurants.

Many apartments do not correspond to photos. The staff only loaded the photos of the rooms/apartments with the best view on booking.com, so you got quite a good chance that you're given another type (no pool view, lateral sea view, etc.) Many units have the street by the bedroom, check for that, too! When asked to change unit, the personnel ignored us politely, letting us know that the images are only "examples". Attached a photo of our balcony view... Yes, it's sea view but...

Loved the proximity to all amenities. Great space in our apartment. Bed very comfortable.

Great location, really nice modern apartments which were clean and well maintained. Lovely pool area and plenty of loungers.

Not necessarily that I didn’t like, it’s just not suitable for someone with mobility issues due to the steep hill and steps down to the strip. Some steps directly outside the complex are very uneven with chunks out of them which could easily lead to a fall. But location is unbelievable and no need for taxis whatsoever when there.

Saw a roach in the blind, window was open all night and didn’t realize, must have crept in through it. Having to hunt and kill it was not fun.

The first room we were given was very nosey during the night as there was air conditioning/ generator units on the roof above. Room 1230 But we requested a room relocation and the staff dealt with promptly.

Pagué una habitación con vistas al mar y el mar se venía de forma lateral y bastante poco. Por otro lado, la habitación daba a la calle y era imposible dormir con el ruido que hacía la gente que se dedicaba a ir de fiesta. Entiendo que esto lo es culpa del hotel, pero si me alojara en la habitación que me correspondía no tendría que haberme quejado dos veces a recepción y mi estancia sería más agradable. Cosa que no ocurrió.

We were allocated room 3211, which technically had a sea view, but unfortunately it was the worst sea view apartment due to its position on the roadside next to a very noisy entrance gate. The gate slammed loudly throughout the night, which made it extremely difficult to sleep. On our first night, a group of young men who were staying in the apartment below arrived in the middle of the night and even banged on our door thinking it was their apartment. From then on, they were constantly coming and going through the gate at 2am, 3am and 4am, often shouting and clearly very drunk. They would stand and talk in the stairwell directly outside our bedroom window. They also brought friends and girls back during the night, so there was a lot of noise and disturbance with people arriving and leaving at all hours. Just when things finally quietened down around 5am, the glass collection lorry arrived across the road, creating another burst of noise. Unfortunately, this room is not suitable for guests who want a good night’s sleep, and it significantly impacted our stay.

Love this hotel have stayed a few times . The location is perfect and the rooms are large and have everything you need . Staff are amazing and the little touches of welcome drink and bottle of fizz to welcome you back are a lovely touch
