Phong Nha Lake House Resort

Personalet var enormt søde! Udsigten var god og morgenmaden var fin, men der var dage, hvor de manglede de dele af morgenmaden, som var en del af det vi havde betalt for. Man kunne låne gratis cykler, men de var i rigtig dårlig forfatning!

Værelset var meget slidt og trængte til en renovering ift. hvad man kunne se på billederne. De forskelsbehandler folk ift. om man betaler med betalingskort eller kontanter. Vi endte med at betale 3,5% i gebyr, fordi vi ville betale med betalingskort, hvilket faktisk er ulovligt i Vietnam! Der stod, at man kunne leje motorcykler, men det kunne man åbenbart ikke, da vi spurgte på stedet.

Een fijne, relaxte sfeer. Voldoende ruimte op de kamer en een mooi uitzicht over het meer.

Het ligt net wat buiten het centrum van Phong Nha, waardoor je altijd afhankelijk bent van vervoer via een dagtocht of een grab. Er staat dat er fietsen en scooters beschikbaar zijn, maar fietsen hebben we niet gezien (en is bovendien tegen betaling) en scooters verhuren doen ze niet (meer).

Das Zimmer war großzügig und sauber

Unser Flug hatte Verspätung und das teilte ich dem Hotel mit und dann hatten wir noch einen crazy Taxifahrer der uns erst 22 Uhr vor Ort absetzte Es war niemand mehr vom Personal vor Ort. Die Rezeptionistin fuhr winkend an uns vorbei vom Hof und dann standen wir da mit schwerem Gepäck auf einem riesigen und dunklen Gelände. Der. Schlüssel lag einfach an der Rezeption. Geht für mich garnicht. Ich muss dazu sagen das wir aus dem Taxi noch Essen bestellt haben was uns dann um 20.30 Uhr vorbereitet wurde, weil dann die Küche zu ist. Dazu kommt noch das heut morgen im Hellen doch sehr auffiel das die Fotos sehr verschönert wurden, wenn man sich den "See" , Pool oder Restaurant anschaut. Das Frühstück war jetzt auch nicht so wie wir es aus minderbewerteten Hotels kennen.

Really nice rooms in the villas. Food was excellent and very varied menu. There was a small espresso machine. Nice swimming pools. Breakfast was good. Staff were good at booking a tour and organising an onward bus journey from the hotel.

Het hotel ligt aan een rustige straat. Veel eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Ruime kamers met airco en een ijskastje. Ontbijt was goed. Personeel is supervriendelijk.

Food was not the best quality and breakfast was limited. Better options to eat in Phong Nha.

Prachtige ligging, vriendelijk en welwillende medewerkers

Alles is kapot of oud of werkt niet. Het zwembad warmer dan een warm bad, de parasols kapot. Verkoelend zwemmen is er dus niet. Afstand naar het restaurant is pittig loopje. Geen drankje in minibar. Heb mijn was laten doen en kan een groot deel weggooien. Zeer ernstig gekrompen en verkleurd.

Mooie locatie.

Wij hebben geen prettig verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Toen wij onze kamer voor de eerste keer betraden, kwam er een sterke vochtgeur op ons af. Bovendien stond het plafond van de kamer vol schimmel. Toen wij dit aan de manager meldden, leek zij dit als normaal te beschouwen. Vervolgens probeerde een klusjesman de schimmel van het plafond te verwijderen met een doek, wat uiteraard geen oplossing bood. Pas na lang aandringen kregen wij een andere kamer toegewezen. Uiteindelijk vertelde het personeel ons ook dat er in die kamer daadwerkelijk een vochtprobleem is en dat men de schimmel simpelweg overschildert.

Die Lage war sehr schön und ruhig, super zum entspannen und runter kommen.

Der Pool war nicht wirklich sauber und da schwammen Spinnen drinnen. Der Laundry Service war sehr teuer. Das mit den Rollerverleih hab ich nicht verstanden wieso man uns den vollen Tag als Aufpreis gegeben hat da wir oft nur 4/5 Stunden unterwegs waren, immer erst nach 10 Uhr, das fand ich schon frech. Man sagte uns erst an der Rezeption dass nach 10 Uhr wir den haben Tag bekommen und am Ende bekamen wir den ganzen Aufpreis.

Vriendelijkheid van het personeel en fijne bedden. De wc-bril zat los, het nachtlampje en de airco deed het niet op een kamer en dat hebben ze direct opgelost. Gratis flesjes water op de kamer die worden aangevuld bij de dagelijkse schoonmaak. Fijne uitvalsbasis om de Paradise Cave en de Dark Cave te gaan bezoeken.

Ontbijt is simpel, maar ok. Zwembad bij de villa's is best gevaarlijk: de betegeling in het water en de waterranden zijn zeer scherp waardoor onze kinderen hun voeten hebben opgehaald.

Lovely quiet resort and for the price it was excellent value. The food was good if a little more western than Vietnamese. The pool was good but could have done with more sunbeds. It’s about 15 minutes from the centre of Phong Nha so you need to use taxis to get around

Saw a large rat in the grounds but I’m sure they are all around as we were out in the countryside. Small misunderstanding regarding transport arrangements to get us back from a tour they had arranged for us but they rectified this.

Expérience très décevante surtout due à un service très médiocre du personnel de l’hôtel. Tout d’abord tout est plus cher qu’ailleurs, la location de moto, le service de blanchisserie etc Le petit déjeuner est inexistant, je suis arrivé à 8h45 et plus rien était présent, mis à part de la mangue et de la pastèque. On a fait laver nos habits (9kg) et le prix était de 80 000/kg, ce qui est énorme (le max au vietnam que j’ai payé en un mois est de 60 000/kg. Nous avons reçus nos habits mouillés, pas pliés et qui ne sentaient aucune odeur; pour avoir fait divers services de « laundry », celui-ci il a été le plus cher et décevant. Tous les autres services nous ramenaient des vêtements qui sentaient bon, pliés et propres. Les réceptionnistes parlent de manière froide et n’essaient pas de t’aider. Nous avons voulu louer une moto pour 2 jours et ils nous ont dit que c’était pas possible, qu’il faisait que par journée et le prix était de 250 000. Nous avons donc loué ailleurs à un prix de 150 000….. Nous avons voulu commander un taxi vers l’aéroport; ils nous indique un prix de 600 000 soit disant le prix du pétrole a augmenté; j’ai donc réservé sur grab à 320 000. Autant vous dire que c est un hôtel certes avec une belle vue mais avec aucun service et cherchant tout simplement à vous prendre plus d’argent. Ps : les paiements par cb comportent de frais (nous sommes dans un hôtel).

Fabulous lakeside location, swimming and kayaking in the lake. Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Great to use the free bikes to discover the area.

Very officious restaurant staff, pool was heavily chlorinated and not as clean as most other places we have stayed in throughout Vietnam. Prices also seemed high compared to everywhere else we had stayed. Maybe because it’s rural?

The staff were great, couldn’t do enough for us and very helpful. The location is good, outside the city so a little quieter. It’s proper resort with two swimming pools and swimming/kayaking on the lake available anytime.

There are two ‘parts’ to the resort, an old and a new. Our room was in the old part and, whilst it’s pretty well maintained and very clean, it did feel a bit dated.

היינו בווילות, הווילות מאוד יפות מבחוץ ומבינים, המקלחת החיצונית בוילה מאוד כיפית, אבל החדר עצמו לא מתוחזק, יש כתמי מים על הקירות, לא ממש נקי האגם מאוד יפה וגם הנוף .

החדרים לא מתוחזקים כשישבנו בארוחת בוקר בחצר ראינו עכברוש ולא ראיתי שהזיז למישהו גם אחרי שאמרנו, למחר בערב המתנו בלובי למונית והיה עטלף בתוך הלובי, אני מבין שזה באמצע הג׳ונגל אבל ציפיתי שיפריע לצוות ויעשו מאמץ להוציא אותו וזה לא קרה . רצינו לקחת אופניים מהמלון אבל הם לא מתחזקים את האופניים, הביאו לי אופניים בלי שרשרת בכלל ואופניים אחרים בלי ברקסים

Lovely setting on a small lake. We had the villas by the lake which I highly recommend. Staff at reception (Sarah) and in the restaurant ( Hana) We are exceptional and went above and beyond to help us as guests and make us feel at home. Trips were arranged through reception perfectly – we just went to the caves with a driver and no tool guide and it was perfectly fine. All in all lovely stop and highly recommended.

The room (Villa 1) was beautiful and had a lovely view of the lake.

Unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the setting. The staff didn’t seem particularly welcoming or attentive, which made the stay feel less enjoyable than it should have been. The food and drink is hit and miss. We had some nice cocktails, some awful ones, depending on who made them. The food is westernised - there are much nicer and cheaper Vietnamese places to explore in Phong Nha. It was also inconvenient that you cannot charge food and drinks to your room , everything must be paid for immediately, in cash. Additionally, there is a 3.5% fee for credit card payments, and the nearest ATM is 8 km away, which can be quite impractical, especially if you’re booking activities or excursions through the hotel. So a nice hotel in terms of location and rooms (villas), but unfortunately let down by some poor customer service and inconvenient policies.

Het ontbijt. Het ontbijtbuffet was onvoldoende. Hoewel het een buffet was, was er niets (meer) voorradig en moest alles aangevuld worden. Wij waren ¾ uur voor einde ontbijt aanwezig.

Wir sind mit den Motorrädern unterwegs und haben uns das wunderschön gelegene Hotel ausgesucht. Aufgrund des sehr angenehmen Service und dem leckeren Frühstück und Abendessen haben wir den Aufenthalt verlängert. Die Zimmer sind großzügig eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt.

The location is breathtaking. Absolutely stunning right on the lake, it’s peaceful and it’s just beautiful. We had a huge apartment with balcony with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathroom’s for our family of 4. The apartment was comfortable but not as high a standard of what we expected or experienced in Vietnam but the beds were super comfy and it was clean. We enjoyed sleeping with the breezes coming in through the windows. And the balcony was great to relax on. The reception organised our tour to the caves which was stress free and a great day out. There were canoes free of charge and (maybe bicycles too) but we ran out of time to utilise them unfortunately!

The food was pretty average. À la carte breakfast had good options and was okay. The evening menu didn’t excite us & they were probably our worst meals in Vietnam. Unfortunately! The property is quite a way from other eating options. Take Dong as they prefer cash for tours etc here and nearest ATM is in Phong Nah township.

All very nice. We stayed in a bungalow on the lake. Restaurant price for dinner good value.

Showing signs of age. Had to change room because a/c not working. Fridge not working in room. Fixtures getting old eg bath was green stained and we didnt use it. Poor breakfast for us despite asking for vegan options.

Het ontbijt stopte veel te vroeg voor een vakantieganger. Volgens info op trip was er ontbijt tot 10 uur. Dit was één v d redenen waarom we dit hotel boekten. Maar men heeft ons wel vriendelijk verder geholpen. De gordijnen lieten s morgens veel licht door.

Wunderschöne Lage am See

Schlechtes Essen, unter anderem war unser Hähnchen noch roh…und sollte am Ende trotzdem abgerechnet werden. Völlige Überforderung in der Küche.

First of all the staff, everyone so kind and doing their best to be of help. The food I thought was really good, the prices not so high as I read in so many reviews on my opinion. Then the lake view was also nice.

The rooms are outdated, my bed was making noises and wakikg me wake up in the middle of the night upon any movement. The shower's hot water will last for 4 or 5 minutes only, which is crazy. They offer motorbikes but super limited and one of them didn't even have one mirror, I noticed only when in the road unfortunately. Finally the breakfast could absolutely be improved, the coffee for example was horrible.

Buffet breakfast, very basic, minimal, left much to be desired. On the other day, breakfast cooked to order was better, this should have been the norm. Shower was not that great, controls didn't work properly. I had a very noisy room, people talking outside at all hours, dogs barking all night.

The staff went out of their way to be warm and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and large and VERY well air conditioned.

We stayed in one of the villa’s. Very comfortable and spacious with outdoor 2nd bathroom. Friendly staff. The pool area seems a little limited (we did not make use of it) but it sits on the lake. In the rooms some lights were not working, they fixed it with different colour lighting which did not fit the atmosphere. Some issues with the airco. But other than that I would surely recommend this place. Breakfast options are somewhat limited but good enough and we enjoyed the setting.

Maintenance could be a little better

Emplacement exceptionnel et chambre spacieuse. Kayak à disposition. Attention, il faut prendre en compte que l’hôtel est à 7km en voiture du centre (il n’y a rien autour). L’hôtel ne nous a pas proposé des systèmes de navettes payantes. Vous devez prendre un Grab (mais les chauffeurs sont réticents à venir le soir) ou avoir votre propre moyen de transports (mais on nous a dit à la réception que c’était dangereux de conduire le soir). Conclusion : obligé de dîner au restaurant.

Le restaurant de l’hôtel est un peu cher. Le professionnalisme du personnel n’est pas à la hauteur de l’établissement et aléatoire.

La villa con vistas al lago es espectacular, con un baño más grande que la habitación. La piscina de las villas muy tranquila y muy agradable para darse un baño.

El desayuno bastante pobre, con una carta para pedir huevos fritos, tortilla o pho. También hay algo de fruta y yogur.

Leuke locatie bij een meer. Je kan gratis gebruik maken van Kajaks. Resort biedt ook taxi service als je geen Grab kunt krijgen. Eén van de drie airconditioners was kapot en werd (na enig aandringen) netjes de volgende ochtend vervangen.

De kamers vertonen veel gebruikssporen. De koffie.bij het ontbijt was oploskoffie. Het hele resort ziet er wat verwaarloosd uit. Het douchescherm in de badkamer ontbrak waardoor toilet nat werd tijdens douchen. We hadden ook een soort jacuzzi buiten maar die was behoorlijk vuil dus die maar niet getest.

Fantastisch personeel en prachtige plek om te zitten. Helaas was het maar 1 nachtje

Absolutely stunning location .. loved our room with a lake view and it was spacious and had good air con and big bathroom .. you can see that it is a beautiful place and the resort could be amazing..the pictures also looked amazing ! Up close it was a bit shabbier and in need of TLC to make it feel like a luxury place rather than something that hasn't seen much of upkeep for quite a while ..

Whilst the price was not extortionate considering UK prices ,it was 3 times more expensive than other local places. We wanted quite a luxury stay and it presented itself as that . However up close it looked a bit unloved - like it hasn't had much upkeep to renew every year or so ..the phone in our room wasn't working and it wasn't fixed even after I let the reception know . The main area where we had food - breakfast /dinner - had no air con - which isn't the worst as it had fans - but again for the price and presentation you would expect that .pool was nice but small - we were told that it closes at 8. Didn't make sense as the dining / bar closes at 9 - so you are basically left with nothing to do . We used the pool and we were not told of - so not sure re the closing time but imagine some people would follow the rules and miss out . The location is remote and whilst you can now get Grab taxi - it takes a while to get to one and if you need 7 seater - then pretty much non existent. The hotel knows that and basically offers guests their taxi services at an extortionate price. We were offered one for 800000 . We managed to get Grab - cost us for the same trip - 320000.. Grab taxi cost around 500000 to get to the train station and the hotel offered it for 700000 .. with no taxi, bar closing at 9 and pool at 8 you are pretty stuck which was what we expect from a so-called luxury place. If you don't manage to get out - you can have dinner there. We tried a few dishes and most were ok but a very westernized menu.. literally the last thing you want coming from Europe ..Having said that the prices again are way above average that you would expect in Vietnam but the quality doesn't justify it . We went to a local place one night and paid £10 for a glass of wine /2 beers and 2 big main meals . The hotel price. was more than twice that .

Beautiful villas in a stunning setting. Lovely terrace overlooking the water. So peaceful and totally tranquil. Staff are all lovely and offer a wonderful welcome. The lakeside is well maintained and they have kayaks to let you explore. There’s a pontoon to jump off, although the ladder has one high rung so it’s super difficult to get into using the steps. They offer an amazing selection of tours. We did two: a cycle tour to two fun local attractions and a cave tour to Paradise and Dark Cave. Both were exceptional fun and lead by the WONDERFUL Huöng (Sarah).

We had two villas, with outdoor showers. In one of our villas there was no overhead shower, just had a handheld attachment. Also, best to know before you go that the service in the restaurant is erratic. Don’t leave it until you are hungry to go for dinner. You wait ages for food, no one will eat together, and on more than one occasion meals just didn’t arrive. We tried to be relaxed about this but it was annoying for the family members served last.

S’ avonds was het erg donker op het terrein. Zou wat meer lichter kunnen.

This place is very beautifull: all the rooms are around the lake and where swimming in this water is very cool! You can arrange day tours to different caves at the reception. We exerirnced anvery friendly and helpfull staff. I recommend this place and to book a massage too!

A/C was not working in one room

Just perfect! Help and extreme kind staff. Lovely bungalow with a great view and plenty of space. The prestige surroundings, pool, kayak and lake is enough to keep you occupied for days.
