The Waterfront Hotel Kuching

Beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities a girl could ask for. The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped. The hotel is right by the waterfront, making it lovely for an evening stroll, and there are plenty of shops and eateries nearby for quick meals and shopping. A big plus is that the hotel is also directly connected to a shopping mall, making everything super convenient!

Las habitaciones están reformadas, pero no muy bien insonorizadas. El resto del hotel no está antiguo. La zona de la piscina es oscura y muy pequeña. En general, me pareció que el precio del hotel estaba por encima de lo que ofrecía.

La camera ampia è completamente ristrutturata era meravigliosa., ma mia vista fiume riuscendo a vedere tutte le sere lo spettacolo della fontane A disposizione gratuitamente bottigliette d’acqua. In 30 giorni del mio viaggio in Malesia cappuccio e angolo dolci freschi come nelle migliori pasticceria d’Italia ( complimenti ai ragazzi)

Unico neo la climatizzazione della camera … nonostante la impostavo ad una temperatura normale durante il mio soggiorno, quando uscivo e rientravo tornava sempre a 18 gradi ghiacciando la camera e ci volevano poi diverso tempo per riportarla alla normalità. Detto ma mai risolto.

Groot hotel in het centrum van Kuching. Fijn zwembad en een goede ligging. Een deel van de kamers is gerenoveerd en die zijn erg mooi, een deel kan zeker nog een renovatie gebruiken.

De kamers op de 8e verdieping zijn nog niet gerenoveerd en kunnen zeker een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Verder hebben we weinig aan te merken.

Location was good, right beside the main waterfront area and the food streets, and there is a mall next to the hotel too. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom as well. It had everything we needed to unwind. We had a fantastic stay and would come back again!

Ottima colazione super varia e con tantissima offerta sia dolce sia salata e belle stanze (per risparmiare qualcosa abbiamo dormito nella stanza “base” senza vista, comunque consigliata). Posizione centrale e con una vista sul lungofiume eccezionale. Camera spaziosa e bagno molto grande con la doccia walk in. Il letto molto comodo e per noi che abbiamo problemi di schiena, siamo stati molto comodi e ci siamo sempre svegliati senza dolori. Colazione stra assortiti e abbondante, dal dolce al salato, dal locale all'internzionale. Il cappuccino era top e per noi italiani è un must have! Personale gentile, accogliente e sorridente. Il centro commerciale al suo interno fornito di tutto il necessario tra cibo, abbigliamento e altro ne aumenta l'atteattività.

Forse un pochino gli spazi ridotti per riporre i propri effetti personali, un piccolo armadio e un ripiano piccolo sotto al comodino.

Wonderful staff with amazing hospitality! The hotel is equipped with great facilities and amenities. Its proximity to the shopping complex & other tourists attractions is excellent. We happened to come across the TWH Ever After Wedding Preview. Truly customer-oriented. We enjoyed the preview very much. Attended a dinner event at the hotel's hall which made our stay most convenient & memorable. Food & beverages are superb with varieties of local and international choices. Grundsätzlich ein gutes Hotel in perfekter Lage mit freundlichem Personal. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön.

Wir hatten Probleme mit der Klimaanlage und es gab Bauarbeiten während unseres Aufenthaltes. Auch bezüglich des Wäscheservice hatten wir Diskussionen.

Had a lovely stay at The Waterfront Hotel Kuching! The morning buffet was one of the highlights, with a good variety of delicious food & different type of cuisine.. The hotel is also super convenient, right in the Plaza Merdeka and infront of Old Court & within walking distance to Waterfront area & cafes.. Our room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Overall, a very pleasant stay and definitely recommended!

J’ajouterais une prise de courant dans la salle de bain pour y brancher le sèche cheveux. Lors de notre passage la piscine était très bruyante l’après-midi avec des enfants qui hurlaient. Un règlement invitant à la quiétude et une remarque du personnel en cas de non intervention des parents seraient bien venus.

On checkout day I had a late flight but there’s no toilet on ground floor, you either had to pay to use the mall toilet or go up to fourth floor which meant waiting for the lift which could take a while; no cotton pads in amenities provided

Mooie locatie, ruime kamers, lekker ontbijt en veel keus. Meteen aan de mall, ook handig om even snel koffie te drinken of wat te eten.

Bij check-in rond 15.20 uur kregen we te horen dat we moesten wachten, omdat de kamer nog niet klaar was. Klein half uur later konden we naar de kamer, vloer had nog veel vlekken. Verbouwing in het hotel, precies onder onze kamer. Heel veel herrie. Eerst contact telefonisch, niets mogelijk. Bij receptie kregen we een andere, gerenoveerde kamer. Veel minder herrie te horen. Weinig bedjes bij zwembad, vooral veel ruimte voor tafels en stoelen.

Camera e bagno ampi. Doccia molto comoda. La posizione molto buona, vicino ad un centro commerciale. Acqua in camera tutti i giorni.

I servizi sono da 5 stelle ma la camera. Abbiamo chiesto il cambio camera perché una finestra era rotta ed era presente molta muffa (nostro figlio è allergico). Ci hanno dato una camera nuova, più piccola e praticamente uguale alla precedente.

Todo perfecto. Como advierte la propiedad y otros comentarios, el alojamiento está en una calle con bares por lo que evidentemente se escucha la música y el ambiente, por lo que ya sabes dónde vas. Por otra parte, es cierto que las escaleras son empinadas, por lo que no sería apto para personas con problemas de movilidad.

Carpark is crowded on weekends and took some time to find a lot. There is some renovation going on at the lower floor which is noisy though the hotel informs us about this. Doesn't affect us as we are outsjde during the day but for guests wanting to sleep or rest during the day, this is something to take note of.

Staff were super kind. They arranged a little surprise birthday cake for my husband which was very much appreciated.

I hope the renovations include double glaze windows to improve sound proofing. It’s a very noisy neighbourhood

I liked the location, the room, the lovely staff, and being next to the shopping Mall. I especially liked the Sarawak Laksa and will try to make it back home in New Zealand.

Las obras eran constantes y no se podía estar en la habitación; aunque es cierto que por la tarde y noche no trabajaban, a las 8.30 AM ya teníamos mucho ruido. Es cierto que el hotel ya advierte del ruido, pero no es ocasional. Excepto este detalle, el resto perfecto.

Nice hotel with good views from our club floor room, although the club floor lounge view is a lot better. Very big room, bed was very comfortable with lovely good quality pillows and bedding. Amazing shower. Breakfast choice was really good albeit most of it was cold, staff are very friendly and attentive. Very central for all the attractions. I did not like the pool on the 4th floor as it is in the middle of the building so gets no sun whatsoever. Arnold and Remar the bartenders in Zapatos were very efficient and friendly, Noel the chef on 11th floor always went out of his way to explain all of the food options, Keran was a fabulous host too. Food options on 11th floor were amazing. Unfortunately we was woken at 07.30 with construction noise, which we reported to Remie, who informed us that a manager would contact us, however we was not contacted with an apology. The site states you are designated a parking space, however, the car park is in a shopping centre car park, and you have to drive around and around until you find a space, which was very frustrating, I would have thought a club lounge room would have had separate spaces, or be able to park out the front of the hotel, which we did ask, but was refused.

The hotel looks a bit old, it could do with some renovation. We booked two rooms (a few months in advance) and asked for them to be close together, but they were 6 rooms apart.

I love the bed,the spacious room and the bathroom too.I was surprised to see 2 TVs in the room which made my kids really enjoy their stay in the room.

Het enige minpunt vind ik het zwembad. Doordat het semi overdekt is warmt het niet op. Dit was het enige zwembad in 4 weken Maleisië waar we niet graag in gingen. Echt fris! Alsnog een 9 voor het hotel. Een 10 met warmer water.

Right from the start I was really well looked after with the staff doing everything to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The little touches like free pressing, chocolates at the end of the day, a really comfortable lounge area, and a view from the room which was just stunning made my stay really memorable. A big thank you to Mike and his team as he looked after everything - even booked a restaurant and got us the best table in the house! Really wonderful team. Thank you

Le non respect des horaires du check in. Nous sommes une famille avec 4 enfants et nos 2 chambres n'etaient pas pretes a l'arrivee apres un vol fatiguant. On nous a demande de quitter l'hotel jusqu a ce qu'on nous appelle. 2eme sejour a partir du 3 aout idem chambre non prete a 16h. Nos demandes de chambres en etage elevee n'ont pas ete respectees. Fermeture de la piscine a 19h donc difficile d'en profiter apres nos excursions. Temps d'attente aux ascenseurs penibles. Pas de bouteille d'eau dans le mini bar en arrivant. Pour un hotel de ce standing, ca fait cheap. Nous sommes extremement decus par le manque de consideration de notre famille. Nous avons tout de meme payes 10 nuits au total. Nous attendions beaucoup mieux.

What an amazing surprise upon checking-in being upgraded to King Suite (River View) due to the unavailability of my initial booking for a Premier Twin Room (River View) at the same rate. Indeed the Waterfront Hotel is truly exceptional in welcoming & accommodating her guests. Simply top-notch👍🏻 Enjoyed our stay very much as we could invite family members to occupy the extra bedroom. The Sarawak river view from our room was stunning with the colorful display of lights in the evening. We got our request for a late check-out until 1pm as our function at the hall ended about that time. Very smooth check-out. Highly recommended to those planning to stay in Kuching 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 We appreciate very much your hospitality. Indeed it is way beyond our expectation. Thank you.

Location was so central, easy to walk to the river, shopping centre was part of the hotel and staff went above and beyond for us. Pool was lovely and clean, room service menu had a decent selection of food.

The lifts were not great, with queues at peak times. The pool area was disappointing. It is a conference hotel and one day, the majority of sun loungers were removed and replaced by conference tables.

Not friendly. I visited the hotel many times as club guest. This time i requested complementary upgrade (for loyal repeated club guest) was not entertained.

A massive wow for the view from your room, especially at night. Spectacular. The hotel itself is modern and well catered for. The pool also has a fantastic view and it’s brilliant to have it covered- they could have made it bigger as the view and cover encourages people to linger longer. Tasty breakfasts and friendly service. We stayed four nights with a 3&5 year old. The room maintenance wasn’t five star. The coffee machine didn’t work in our room. The bathroom had a horrible smell and we had to request service for. We also had to ask for our room to be cleaned. I had to ask for coffee as it wasn’t left. We were a family of four and were only ever left three towels. Which was odd. Ignoring the odd cleaning service in the room, the hotel is great and I would recommend.

Hotel is very central to shops, restaurants and local attractions. All of the staff are very friendly and polite. Rooms are lovely and big, lovely comfy bed and great bedding. A special thank you to Arnold and Remar in Zapatos, Noel and Keran on 11th floor club floor, who we felt went above and beyond. Breakfast was pleasant, but everything is cold, food on club floor was really nice but again the hot food wasn’t that hot either.

Hotel says you are allocated a parking space, but you have to drive round and round a shopping mall car park to find a space and sometimes we had to park quite far away from the hotels lobby entrance, even having a club floor room does not entitle you to park outside the front of the hotel. We was woken at 07.30 with construction noise, we complained to Remie, club floor concierge, who said a manager would get back to us, however nobody ever came to us with an apology. The pool is on level 4 right in the middle of the building, so it is in complete shade.

The hotel restaurants were quiet so we went out to other local restaurants instead.

We traveled with a family of five, three children under 12. This is the best possible location in all of Kuching. Walking distance to the India markets, the waterfront, and the Chinatown area. Cultural Museum 7 minute walk. The team working the front desk is as professional as they come - kind, informative, welcoming, and efficient. Every single inquiry, problem, or experience was resolved in seconds - not even minutes! Breakfast is a MASSIVE area with a variety of table sizes, from intimate couples tables to a 12 person circular table with a lazy susan. Fresh squeezed juice every morning, cuisines from all over the world, and probably the best omelette I've had in years (my compliments to the young woman at the egg station!). The pool bar is probably the highlight. First, Annie runs the show at the pool. I've traveled all over the world, but I'm not sure I've ever encountered someone as warm, funny, hospitable, and no-nonsense as Annie. She made our family feel welcome immediately. The bartending team was a highlight as well. A really exceptional staff has been assembled at this hotel. Our room was modern, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The little things, like a note in the room welcoming us, made a big difference. I cannot stress enough how GOOD this location is. The "secret" side entrance to the air con mall with McDonalds is also a plus if you have kids dying for a 2RM vanilla cone after dinner. Fantastic stay. Will 100% stay here when we return to Kuching.
