Sinclair's Rooms

It was in a great location with a view of the Main Street which was pleasant. The arrangement that they have with Lord Street Cafe for breakfast works very well. The staff were very pleasant. We will stay again

We had a room above the bar next door which was very noisy. However if we had thought about it we could have requested to move rooms and I am sure if possible the management would have obliged.

Room is a nice size, bed is really comfortable. The staff were lovely. Staff checked us in earlier as the room was ready and it was speedy.

Not the hotels fault, but people drunk shouting near the windows who have been in the bar below and if your after a night out and/or a lie in, the council send loud road sweepers each morning at 530am/6am.

The bar next door, we were right next to it, and it was so loud we might as well be in the bar. Did go and complain, but got nowhere. We are not kill joys but it was a bit much

Local to the station and Lord street. Clean room, the bed was comfortable and a nice shower. Great staff always polite and friendly. The breakfast was superb and freshly cooked.

Excellent location, lovely, spacious, well designed room with quality accessories. Furnishings, towels, glasses, mugs all complimented the room's style. I had mistakenly left an ear aid in the room, I asked the staff if they had found it. The staff could not have been more helpful. They went and checked the room, but couldn't find it, however, they said they would contact house keeping. As I travelled home they rang to say house keeping had it and would post it on. Which they have done. They also kept in contact via email, to make sure it arrived safely. Thank you Anthony, you are a credit to your company.

The only downside was that there was a 21st party on the Saturday night, the music was loud, but finished soon after 11pm. Apparently, not usually the case, but I would check before booking again. This was the only reason why it isn't 10/10.

Excellent location on Lord Street. Rooms were compact but clean and comfortable, en-suite was spacious. The bed was comfortable and bed linen was lovely. The shower was great. Very thoughtfully there was a fan in the room for hot nights. The corridor to all rooms had lights which only came on when guests passed.

The room was very noisy from the bar below, actually the next bar along the road. The music did stop at 12 midnight, but it precluded an early night! So the further you are along the street from Sinclair’s, the noisier the room. The en-suite, whilst clean and spacious, was down a corridor with an unlit step which meant I left the bathroom light on all night. And there wasn’t much room between the bedside cabinet and the bathroom corridor, tricky during the night! There wasn’t much provision for luggage, although there was a hanging rail unit.

We stayed for 3 nights x it was lovely, spotless x had a fridge, shower x fan

There was 'nt anything we disliked. The problem we had was not being able to work out the shower ! No water could do with doubke glazing could here people outside chatting .

Cleanliness of property and friendly staff

Qe stayed on a Saturday night for a stopover during a drive North. It was very loud. The room was over looking the street and the property itself played loud music till 12.30am where their customers sat outside our window. This was followed by staff dragging outdoor furniture for 10 minutes. You could hear their whole conversation it was so close. Other rooms may be quieter but even with windows closed it was very loud. Single beds were very small!

The room was very small and noisy. The photos on their website were very flattering compared to the room, number 3, we stayed in. No internet available or if there was there was no information or password available. No information on the area such as when to eat in the area.

My room was on the front of the building and as the windows are not double glazed the noise from outside was terrible and so impaired on my sleep u fortunately.

Location was good for local amenities but that also comes with a downside early hours as it's still noisy outside with nearby bars ....room.was warm so had to open window which increased noise I knew before I booked so it's hardly a negative but just bare in mind it's not nice and quiet of a weekend

Saying we haven't pay..plus I asked for twin room....there say there haven't hear from yourself... No hair dryer...no vouchers on the Sunday for breakfast..lucky the Cafe will ring them.sort it out Plus we are deaf.. couldn't ring the mobile phone..I did message them..no reply...

A great look to the Sinclairs rooms, Lovely rooms ,clean, comfortable beds, just a nice feel to the whole place and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again. A great selection of drinks at the bar and outside area.

The noise from the 18th party going on downstairs was terrible, the bar don’t think of their paying guests, way to loud couldn’t sleep needed to be turned down

It was cheap and cheerful. Breakfast in a cafe down Lord street was a bit unusual and my egg Benedict wasn't hot but i was hungry so just eat it.

The accommodation was exactly as described. The only issue was our room door has half of the door catch missing but this didn't affect it being secure.

Lovely room and very clean. Great location and the bar below was also very nice. Breakfast voucher for the cafe down the road which was a short walk and honestly the best breakfast! Great value for money and we would stay again.

Only small moan… there was a clothes rail but no hangers! Also advertised on booking.com with iron/board in room but that wasnt the case

Room 7 was noisy from karaoke below. This did stop at midnight. Generally noisy room from the street which didn’t disturb us too much but may be worth noting. Could do with a plug near to the dressing table, had to unplug the tv above to do my hair.

Looks a bit tired and dated in bits.

the bedroom was lovely clean only thing could do with a Long mirror somewhere to look when getting ready, also breakfast could be organised better. You have to go to a cafe just down the street that was not a problem the problem was sometimes there was no tables and they asked for us to go back which I think isn't right we booked and paid for breakfasts maybe Sinclairs could let the cafe know how many they have each morning for breakfast so they can reserve the tables. The room was lovely but we was at the front so noisy would stay again if a room near the back

Unfortunately it was very noisy until 11.30 pm impossible to sleep before then so loud could not hear the tv in your room less turned up to maximum and even then pounding music from the bar underneath . After 11.30 was quiet however .

I booked this knowing it was a budget option, so I didn't expect luxury—but I did expect to sleep! Unfortunately, the walls are paper-thin. We heard karaoke from the bar next door, glass bottles being loudly emptied at midnight, a guest returning at 1 AM, and another guest's alarm at 5 AM. The bathroom also needs urgent attention (loose toilet seat, broken shower door, and black grout), though it looks like they are in the process of a refurb. It’s a cheap spot, but massively disappointing if you actually want to rest

The young lad who greeted us when we arrived was great, very friendly, welcoming and attentive.
