Reviewed Sep 5, 2026No breakfast was available that I was aware of. I loved the room. cozy bed. A bit of traffic and seagulls in the am as you are around water. Very friendly staff.
If you have mobility issues park in spaces 1 to 5, if not you are walking a block with your luggage etc. Also, a stair railing in the front entrance would be helpful.

The room was very small, and the air conditioner pretty noisy. Seems like an upgrade on the latter is in order.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Beautifully decorated suite in walking distance to restaurants, shops, and coffee bars. The building is from the 1860s, the entrance very stately. The instructions to find the building and how to get in were very clear. Same with parking (has to be booked in advance). The noise from the street wasn't bad at all.
For us, the mattress was too soft, but that is - of course - a matter of taste.

The description of the suite does not match what was on ground in reality. The bedroom is not separate from the kitchen area. The sitting area are all in same room with bedroom and all. When we used the oven and opened it., it triggered the smoke detector alarm and we had to leave the room. It took the intervention of their staff who coincidentally was there to deliver pot to us to help ventilate the room for us to get back to normal. Room not good for heavy cooking. Smokehood not effective for heavy cooking and frying. Smoke detector comes on often.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Location was central and quiet, across the street from a good Italian restaurant and a short walk from a farmers market and interesting historical sights. The accommodations were very comfortable, and included kitchen facilities, and free use of washer/dryer in the building.
There is limited close-by parking available thru the property managers, for 15CAD/day. The instructions for how to access the various parking spaces are complicated. And the entry into the building requires climbing a short set of steep steps, entering a code, opening that outer door, climbing another short set of steep steps, entering the same code, and opening the inner door. At that point, your envelope with parking pass and key to the room is waiting on a table. This is all challenging while carrying luggage. Not a serious problem, unless you have trouble with stairs, but just set expectations appropriately!

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Very Clean, comfortable, every detail was taken care of including molding, beautiful furniture, cotton sheets, luxurious feel, air jetted pool tub, kitchen, comfortable couch, table and chairs, free laundry washer and dryer to use - one of our very favorite places in our 2 week travels throughout Canada. It lives up to a 4 and 1/2 star out of 5 quality place or a 100% satisfaction for value, cleanliness, details for a stay, and comfort .

Instructions to get to prepaid parking area a little confusing as there are 2 driveways between Union Street address and Aquatic Center and a driver needs to take the one that accesses the upper lot, not the lower area. As a result, I went around the lower loop twice and finally a maintenance guy showed me the way.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Great location for both seeing the town and getting out of town. Lovely historic building. Very spacious bed and full cooking facilities. Parking available if pre booked. Excellent shower. Very quiet. We arrived during a downpour, and some hooks for wet coats would be useful.
One of the reasons for staying was the washing machine, so disappointing to find the machine display was broken and very hard to know the cycles. Limited to a 15 min wash in any case, but we got there in the end.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026We frequently stay at Chipman Hill. It's a lovely site and we've had the privilege of staying in two separate buildings. Beautiful old homes that have been converted. The rooms are spacious, clean and have lots of "nice touches" from the housekeeping staff that make our stays very pleasant. The kitchens in each suite are well-stocked. We're going back!

Es stehen private Parkplätze bereit, um die man sich allerdings rechtzeitig kümmern sollte. Der Zugang zum Gebäude erscheint erst kompliziert, man bekommt allerdings eine ausführliche und bebilderte Beschreibung. Hat alles problemlos geklappt, sehr zu empfehlen.

My husband in awe of the craftsmanship exhibited throughout-esp the painter- a ‘true artist!’ We are elderly so the steps were a bit of a challenge-our fault for not requesting a 1st floor room. Only suggestion is to install a handrail coming inside the front door if this is possible. Overall, a terrific stay!!!!
