Hotel was clean and well presented, staff were helpful and friendly, and no issues at all.

Nothing really, had a couple of small issues with the room and the reception staff sorted straight away.

Terrible bed. Two single beds pushed together and both with a huge sag in the middle. Should have been replaced years ago! Very thin walls so lots of external noise and an old bathroom ceiling fan that sounds like a small aircraft that stays on for 10 minutes after the light goes off.

The hotel was central to events we needed to atend in 3 local towns. The staff were very friendly and accomodating to additional requests. Though the hotel was full it was not noisy.

The room did not have aircon .The bedroom radiator was difficult to use . A second chair would have been appreciated as well as a box of tissues. Breakfast coffee in thermos was not very hot. Individual caffetiers or a coffee machine could helpto provide Hot coffee. When requesting just blackpudding and tomatoe for breakfast -one slice plus 1/2 a tomatoe was served. A continental cold table choice would have been appreciated- especially for foreign tourists.

This hotel cancelled our booking at 22.10 the night before we were due to stay as they had overbooked, but tried to excuse themselves by saying they had a plumbing issue in the room. Booking.com confirmed in their messages that it was due to overlooking. .Unacceptable less than 24 hrs before stay.

Room was on the ground floor which was what we wanted. Shower was great it was walk in. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size Breakfast was superb.

Being able to check in late without any delays was excellent. Staff communication when we queried check in was prompt, clear and helpful. Breakfast was very good value, lots of choice.

The room was very spacious, the evening meal was prompt, hot and delicious. We both had the Lasagne and wasn't disappointed. The staff were extremely attentive. Nothing was any trouble even with our late checkin.

Very central to where we needed to Go

First three days was very very nice! Friendly staff, nice check-in, breakfast very good. Everything working! But on wednesday 12/8 the staff changed and the whole place went "Fawlty Towers". Deskclerk unfriendly, breakfaststaff sighed and complained open to guests about her workload (quote - unfortunately i have to do this again tomorrow)... Meat on the meny was missing and somehow the hot water in the shower just disappeared.

The room was nice, a bit small but that's because my sister got a large room, to the front of the hotel, so ours was small, by comparison. The restaurant was lovely and we had dinner and breakfast, which was great.

Unfortunately, there was a bad odor, coming from the bathroom. It was clean enough, but there definitely was a block somewhere. We were only there, one night, so didn't complain.

Modernish place, everything worked okay. Nice walk-in shower. The staff seemed to work as a yeam, pretty well. Breakfasts were more than ample.

I can't think of anything, everything was as you would expect in a hotel of this type.

The hotel is in a good location to the train station.

There was live music in the restaurant and it was a bit loud. While eating i would prefer a quieter atmosphere.

Spacious

Plug locations weren’t great (no plugs by bed, and none close enough to the mirror to be able to get ready). Room itself felt like it was on a slant, and the shower was ok but the water pressure could have been stronger. At breakfast, the first day where food was ordered was great and it was super speedy service. However, the last day it was a buffet and not so great. I can appreciate it was a little busy and the staff likely did their best, however ordering separately for dietary requirements was delayed.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful - lovely rooms for what we paid for the night.

The location was handy for where I was going. The restaurant was nice and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.

The room I stayed in was in desperate need of repairs. The bathroom door was severely water damaged and wouldn’t close. The beds were terrible. The springs had gone on both mattresses and the bed base on one had failed too. Which meant that you were sleeping in a dip. Not acceptable at all. I did manage to get some sleep in the other bed but the springs made a terrible noise when you moved. I was rudely awakened in the early hours of Saturday morning by the two “Gentlemen” in the next room setting off fire extinguishers and shouting very loudly. When I mentioned it to the night manager the next morning he just said “it’s the weekend, you should expect that sort of thing.” What I expected was to get a decent nights sleep. Not that. I had requested a breakfast roll to be made up on the Saturday and Sunday morning at the time of booking. Saturday morning was good but Sunday morning when I asked for it I was told that he hadn’t been instructed to prepare one and had no intention of making one. Not very good customer service. I won’t be staying here again.

Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Einiges defekt, Schimmel im Bad sowohl in den Fugen als auch an der Decke. Betten sind schon etwas durchgelegen. Die Räume sind sehr hellhörig und es war immer wieder viel Lärm (durch andere Gäste, Gäste des Pubs auf dem Parkplatz und rasenden Autos draußen) Auch der pub bzw. das Restaurant ist dunkel und alt. Das Frühstück ist von der Karte zu bestellen. Kein Buffet. Abendessen generell gut aber etwas einfach und lieblos. Leider hat es mir nicht so gut gefallen.

The whole hotel was good, but the restaurant had few menus and it was difficult to understand the flow to order.

La struttura è semplice ma funzionale: parcheggio ampio, ristorante dove è possibile cenare, colazione sia dolce che salata. Le camere sono ben tenute.

Hétvégén svédasztalos a reggeli, hétköznap rendelni kell a pincértől. Finom a bacon és a gomba is.Nagyon segítőkészek, dinnyét vettem, kértem kést és szuper élest kaptam. Kényelmes ágyak, elég nagy szobék. Csend!

Das Zimmer war groß und recht sauber.

Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört die Fernseher aus den Nachbarzimmern. Der Geruch im Flur und im Zimmer war unschön. Wer mit englischem Frühstück allein nicht glücklich ist hat Pech, da es praktisch nichts anderes gibt. Der Kaffee war leider auch nicht gut.

Hotel in ottima posizione poco fuori Edimburgo, facilissimo da raggiungere in auto e in un punto strategico per la costa est. Colazione ottima e abbondante ( se piace lo stile Scottish). Consigliatissimo.

Long trek to room, up stairs and to far extreme of hotel. Difficult for people of our age with limited mobility. Poor quality buffet breakfast on Saturday morning. Food was cold and scrambled eggs smelled and tasted suspect.

Although booked with booking .com no room was allocated to us. There was no breakfast for us as a bus load of foreign visitors were there and the staff were unable to keep up with the demand, so left without breakfast. We booked a superior room no comfortable seating in the room.

I know it's not really in their control but some of the noise from the guests was a bit much. We had noise near us past 1am and again around 7am. It would be great if they could put up signs like at the Premier Inn asking for quiet.

The room and bathroom were a good size, which was good as I had upgraded. Only ate breakfast there, but it was good.

There was nowhere to put a suitcase except on the floor, and there were no drawers that would take anything bigger than socks. Had to ask if they could put a chair in the room for my suitcase, and one in the bathroom, as there were no surfaces to put anything on. Bought a basket with suckers to put in the shower to save getting my toiletries off the floor of the shower. Also had to get a member of staff to find out how the shower worked!

Very good hotel, and I highly recommend it. There was plenty of space for three people, which made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast offered a good selection of options to choose from. Overall, the hotel was comfortable, convenient, and provided everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
