Fijn hotel om te verblijven om omgeving te verkennen. Was gezellig in het hotel.

To be honest, I never stayed here. I am in Australia and did a search on Arundel, Qld Australia. This came up, which is a UK address. I didn't notice that, so I booked it. Then I canceled because I couldn't get from Qld to the UK in time. It would have been nice though

If I got to stay there I would have found something i reckon, but as it is, I can't complain, The booking process was easy and the photos looked great.

Very nice place to stay I thoroughly recommend it. The food was amazing, plenty of it, good value. Staff were friendly & very helpful. Breakfast was excellent plenty of choices. Bedroom was spacious & very comfy. I really liked the fact that you didn’t have to check out till 12.

Well located for the short walk into Arundel. The food served at dinner and breakfast was quite good and the staff were fine.

This a very large pub with rooms and is well beyond its life cycle, it needs a major refurbishment urgently.

dinner and breakfast were lovely and exceeded expectations

check in was done by a lovely young girl, she wasn't sure how to do it, but figured it out. She asked a colleague for help, but she was quite flippant. The same member of staff was really vocal, moaning about management and her mental health issues at the top of her voice.

The staff at The Swan are brilliant. Very welcoming & friendly and always seeking to help. The hotel is good value for money if a little dated. My room was clean and well prepared, with tea & coffee facilities, along with a hairdryer. The room was a good size and the linen was soft. Breakfast was excellent.

Noisy traffic and the rooms need to be updated. And need a better cleaner . It was a hot day which they had a fan, but the fan was full of dust!

Near to Arundel, when you can’t get accomodation in the town itself. Really good dinner in the pub.

Overpriced for style of accommodation - though that could have been because we stayed a night on a bank holiday weekend (that we weren’t aware of at the time of booking.

It was quite comfortable and the bar was quiet in the evening so the we could enjoy a drink before bed. Very plentiful parking spaces

The entrance at night coming in from the main road was really dangerous - there needs to be lights at the entrance. It is really not much better than a travelodge and very much more expensive Very poor shower

We arrived later than planned and was very much welcomed and facilitated our evening meal order. Parking was easy spaces available.The manager was very helpful regarding plans for our onward journey to catch the ferry and travel advise. The room had everything to meet our needs and was quiet and comfortable bed. The only problem was the room was very warm due to the humid weather outside and no air conditioning present. We was up very early to progress our journey and the hotel was preparing for breakfast.

Lots of free parking available, able to eat outside in the good weather. Food was available in the restaurant, although not a very inspiring choice, not enough healthy options.

The duvet was lumpy and hard and too heavy for this hot weather, just a sheet was not available for use. Climb in bath rather than a walk in shower, the bath surround was old damaged and not very hygienic, the carpets were worn and shredded in places, there were rips in the curtain lining. The decor has seen much better days, it’s time for a refurb. The breakfast had to be ordered off a menu, being used to main land Europe buffet breakfasts, this was a total let down. Not enough healthy options, fresh fruit, yogurts, seeds and nuts, too much artery clogging options.

The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. Fresh and well cooked and presented and great value for money. The Service was warm and welcoming and did not feel rushed at any time which was nice

doors banged so loudly and the windows. if peope are going in and out of rooms in the evening for drinks and housekeeping constnatly banging in the morning so you got a short window for sleep.

From the moment we were greeted by Jack, spoke with Josh, fantastic breakfast served by Lily, complimented Pippa on the cleanliness of the hotel. Made to feel extremely welcome, nothing too much trouble. All staff very cheerful, considering what a hard job it is in hospitality these days. Well be back, as long as the White Swan retains its character! (and staff!)

That we were unable to stay longer! Didn't like hearing a large chain has bought the hotel, with fears that it will be modernised beyond recognition and lose the heart and soul of The White Swan which makes this historic hotel such a pleasure to visit. Please try and retain Jack and Josh, Lily and Pippa, essential members of staff!

Breakfast was good but had to use my own bread, because they sed they don't cater for gluten free food.

I love staying at the Swan hotel. It was very easy to get to my sisters across the road for the wedding and our recommend it to anybody.

The Room was very clean and comfortable , the location was good , not far from lovely attractions and museums , staff were friendly , Jo was very nice . The cleaning staff were very pleasant . Meals were tasty.

Being woken up around 4.30 by the bin collection on the first morning , second morning around 7 the deliveries arrived and just after that the recycle bin collection , the sound of the glass being dumped into the truck was like a freight train going pass , all happing under our room window , it would have been nice to have been informed before hand

Bediening erg goed, leuke inrichting, erg behulpzaam, ruime periode voor ontbijt, eten erg lekker Ligging is top om de stad te bezoeken in combinatie met de Engelse kliffen.

De properheid van de kamers, vooral badkamer, was een tegenvaller : nog haar van de vorige bezoekers op de grond, douchekraan lekte waardoor heel de badkamer onder water kwam te staan door het rondspuitend water.

Staff very friendly and breakfast was lovely. Location wasn't as close walking distance as advertised.The room had mould in the bathroom and could do with decorating but was clean.

Breakfast was very good particularly the poached eggs.Staff very pleasant. The bedrooms were overall well appointed and comfortable although the bedside light bulbs would benefit from being upgraded to LEDs.

The bedroom doors banged loudly despite notices. Could be helped by better damping on self close mechanisms.

La struttura è molto caratteristica e gli spazi comuni sono esteticamente molto belli. La posizione per noi era ottima in quanto si trova sulla strada principale, quindi perfetta se si è di passaggio. Ampio parcheggio gratuito! Il centro di Arundel si raggiunge in due minuti in macchina o con una piacevole passeggiata di poco più di venti minuti a piedi Lo staff è stato molto gentile e disponibile, un grande punto a favore! Il pub offre piatti elaborati e molto buoni Le camere sono arredate in modo piacevole e abbastanza spaziose

Le stanze andrebbero sistemate nelle rifiniture, si vede che manca un po' di cura. Per una notte va benissimo ma per più giorni non lo consiglierei Consiglierei un'attenzione maggiore alla pulizia, soprattutto in bagno c'era molta polvere e anche un po' di sporco per terra

Het stadje Arundel is echt enorm mooi om te zien. We hebben er heerlijk gegeten. Zowel het avond avondeten alsook het ontbijt. Een full English breakfast. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk.

De kamer was warm en er was geen verkoeling. Het was niet de aller schoonste kamer.

Location was excellent, accommodation very good, breakfast was average but the staff were very accommodating about a late night return.

Restaurant and bar were very expensive. This is not London and we would have eaten elsewhere if we had know.

Good food, friendly staff, lovely area (our room overlooked the carpark on one side and fields on the other). Large carpark. Midday checkout - although we didn't need this, it's nice not to feel rushed.

Mosquitoes and midges. No fly nets on the bedroom windows if this is a known issue. Room maintenance - they were unaware that the bathroom fan/ventilation wasn't working (I'd expect housekeeping to report this). A bedside lamp was removed without explanation (although replaced when reported). Poor WiFi in rooms, kept cutting out.

Friendly helpful staff. Big car park. 20 minute walk into Arundel on footpath through woods- this was safe and away from the traffic apart from crossing the roundabout at the end. Breakfast choices were good.

Staff were very helpful. We were there for a wedding and had booked multiple rooms. The staff were very patient.

We liked the fact that there was a footpath directly from the hotel leading to two or three different walks. The food was good, and the staff were excellent.

We felt it was a good 3 star but not a 4 star standard. We also didn't like the outside seating area that was on the main road or overlooking the. carpark.

The building itself was very nice, having a lot of character, also the outside area was very nice to use in the summer. Rooms were ok, a little dated and could do with air con, but an old building so appreciate these points are hard to resolve.

Male staff member behind the bar area was quite abrupt and rude, witnessed the same treatment to other customers as well, not sure why they have decided on this career path if they are lacking in people skills. Other staff members were pleasant but seemed to be struggling with workload despite the venue not being overly busy, so maybe more training is required, or other factors were occurring that we were not aware of.

A lovely little hotel. Very dog friendly and in a great location. Room was comfortable and clean. The food here is exceptional, totally fresh, generous portions and just gorgeous. Compliments to the Chef. Even if I wasn' t staying here, I would come here for the food. The staff we saw are very friendly

Although all staff are lovely and do a really good job, I think sometimes they may be stretched a little thin. One morning we were seated for breakfast, got served our drinks and then the waitress just disappeared! After waiting a good while, we went up to the bar and from then on we were served with no problems.

Little bit tired but was perfect for a night of rest.

The staff were very friendly and handled complaints very well although could do little about it. The location whilst at the side of a busy road has a good location if you have a car.

There is no aircon. At the height of summer this was intolerable. The hotel charges a hefty premium for events such as Goodwood. However whilst I understand this I think there should be toiletries in the bathroom. There was some shower soap in a dispenser but the one above the sink was empty. No shampoo or body lotion. Minimum drinks tray. I’ve stayed in Travelodges with better facilities. Many bedroom are exposed to the kitchen fan which doesn’t turn off until very late.

Nous avons réservé et payé 3 nuits. Il a fallu chaque jour réactivé nos badges pour entrer dans notre chambre. Le ménage n'a été effectué qu'une fois A 23h30 j'avais oublié un chargeur dans ma voiture. Impossible de sortir de l'Hôtel je ne savais pas avoir réservé un séjour en prison.

On this very hot days we coudln't open the window wide, No aircondition made it hard to sleep, and outside the window there was the colling-machine of the kirchen(?) running all night.

A nice place to stop, for a lovely part of the world. Easy to find, parking was straight forward and the receptionist was very polite and friendly. The room was comfortable and the food was nice.

I was probably quite unlucky, but my stay turned bad in the early hours around 6:15am the fire alarm went off, which meant we all had to get up and leave.

The whole place needs a complete makeover, which I believe it’s going to have next year but in the meantime it was definitely not what I expected for £155 per night. Not value for money at all. There was tape covering holes in the carpet in the bar/restaurant. The room was clean but the carpet was badly stained and the bathroom was in desperate need of an upgrade. The Whole place looked tired and dated.
