Staff were all lovely. Gregs Bistro in the evening had excellent food and varied menu. The prawns breakfast was good. The bed was comfy.

Les gens qui sortaient du pub pour fumer parlaient jusqu'à tard sous les fenêtres de la chambre.

The Bistro food was lovely , breakfast was also good, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was filthy to say the least, mold in the bathroom, cob webs with lots flies attached to it, but on both windows, the bedding didn't feel or smell fresh , the sound of the hallway door closing loudly didn't make for a quiet stay , the 1st floor hallway was like walking on a rope bridge , this building is in serious need of refurbishment throughout, we wouldn't stay again.

The bed was very comfortable. The shower provided plentiful hot water. The room and en suite were good sizes and everything was clean. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Care from the restaurant staff in the evening and morning was excellent. The hotels bar is popular locally and prices in the bistro are reasonable. The food was very good - fresh and well prepared. I’d recommend👍

The hotel is dated and my room very much so. However, it had everything I needed and was comfortable.

Room 3. Our room was above the smoking area, so we could hear talking and the door banging most of the night, plus the extractor fan pipe is right next to the window so you hear humming all night, not the best room if you want to sleep.

Great location for what we needed

TV and hairdryer did not work. Bedding had a musty smell. Also the shower did not stay in place so could only use the top shower. I called the property before to explain why we were staying and check in time (charity walk and we were leaving at 6.20am) they did not inform us that they had live music on in the bar until 1 am until we arrived for check in. The music according to the staff would be on but shouldn’t cause us any issues, however the music was very noisy and heard every song that was played word for word, we heard the hoover and taps on and a door banged during the night. We did try to shut the door but unable to do so.

It was close to Edinburgh and Glasgow to travel too.

The beds were a bit soft and hard to sleep on.

The noise. We were right above an abba tribute. The room was vibrating until 1am which would’ve been great if we were there to party …. but we were up at 5:45 for a hike 🫣 also our window didn’t close and the smoking area was right outside. Staff did apologise in advance on booking in and looked for another room for us, but they were fully booked.

Excellent Bistro for dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff.

Parking is provided but not obvious. The Hotel really needs to provide information on the route to parking behind the hotel in advance. Usually one would look for an access road adjacent to the front of the hotel. Not the case with this hotel. A drive down Main Street in Callander past the hotel for about 150 metres then turn left into Bracklin Road, then after 80 metres turn left into Craigard Road and drive the 150 metres to bring you to the car park at the rear of the hotel. NB the small lane by the front of the hotel is a dead end which we initially went up!

Super localisation, dans le centre de Callander. Parfait pour explorer l'Ecosse. Salle de bains très bien. Très propre. Chambre spacieuse. Très bon petit déjeuner.

C'était un vendredi soir et il y avait un concert dans le bar, juste en dessous. Jusque minuit. Donc absolument impossible de dormir avant ! Nous avons téléchargé une application sonore et nous avions entre 75 et 80 décibels dans la chambre ! Donc faites attention aux dates et jours de concerts. Le petit déjeuner est annoncé comme durant jusque 10h mais à 9h40, tout était remballé. Et la serveuse ne faisait que râler, donc pas très agréable comme petit déjeuner de vacances à l'hôtel sensé être un moment de détente. Dommage parce que le petit déjeuner était bon et varié.

Room was ok, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was extremely good, bar area was nice with a good selection of drinks. Has it's own car park and central location in the town, didn't eat in the bistro as we had already made plans but the menu looked good.

First, we arrived completely wet because of the raining and they were so kind to let us check in a little bit in advance since the room was already ready. Then, the room was super comfortable and warm as well as all the staff. We have been very satisfied

Sehr gute Lage mitten im Zentrum, der Parkplatz auf der Rückseite. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, Matratzen, Bettzeug und Handtücher gut und das Bad groß und mit Fenster. Frühstück war in Ordnung, große Portion. Möglichkeit, in der Bar hinten oder im Bistro im Erdgeschoss zu essen (im Bistro mit Vorbestellung) - Speisekarten mit den Preisen liegen im Zimmer aus.

Einziger Mangel: Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Hinterhof, genau über dem Raucherbereich. Zwar steht dort ein Schild, dass bitte Rücksicht auf die Gäste des Hotels genommen werden soll (insbesondere was die Lautstärke angeht), freitags um Mitternacht interessiert das aber keinen mehr, da wurde dann intensiv diskutiert/gestritten.

Great value for a family of 3. Arrived late and the lovely host kept the kitchen going to cook us a dinner. Rooms are basic but spotless and breakfast delicious. Staff are genuinely friendly.

Kamer zou niet mogen verhuurd worden. Veel schimmel overal en vol vlekken op het meubilair. Zeer oude badkamer met o.a. verschillende gebroken tegels. Kamer nr 7 op de tweede verdieping. Het personeel legde uit dat deze kamers op de tweede verdieping nog moest gerestaureerd worden. Kamerwissel was niet mogelijk omdat het hotel volzet was. Wij kregen deze kamer ondanks het feit dat we heel vroeg geboekt hadden. Nogmaals: deze kamer zou absoluut niet in aanmerking mogen komen voor verhuur: overal schimmel in de kamer en badkamer. Ik meldde dit aan het personeel & via booking, maar kreeg geen reactie.

De kamers vies, het stinkt er, ontzettend slechte bedden ( ik denk met Outlander meegekomen , het eerste seizoen, 200 jaar geleden ) vieze kapotte gordijnen. Mijn badhanddoek was vies, gebruikt..

La salle be bain mériterait un petit coup de jeune (porte de douche cassée, joints à refaire, étagère brincballante) Des toiles d'araignée au plafond, une forte odeur de friture. Chambre située juste au dessus du bar : une groupe de personnes chahutait, parlait et rigolait très fort. Difficile de trouver le sommeil dans ces conditions.

Het was er erg gezellig. De eigenaar vertelde ons veel over Schotse dansen. Ook in de pub van het hotel was het erg gezellig. Ik denk dat ik hier in de toekomst nog wel een keer kom. Dank je Grec.

Nice and handy for everything in Callander. Staff were lovely and helpful. Good decent breakfast, plenty choice of cereals, pastries, toast, fruit juice and cooked breakfast. If you leave still hungry it's your own fault.

We were in a room above the bar and it was live music on Friday and Saturday nights which was very loud until 1am each time. It wouldn't stop us from returning but not on these nights.
