The breakfast was very good ,plenty of variety reasonably priced food and alcohol.

Lovely pictures, pretty they’re not accurate you don’t get two pillows the towels aren’t laid nice and neatly on the bed. You only get two towels and one hand towel. What’s that about? mould all over the shower.

Location. Communication from staff was good, a group of us were going to a wedding nearby and arriving early so they tried to accommodate an early arrival.

Rooms were too hot, walls thin so could hear everything outside the room. Beer garden playing music early on a Sunday morning was far from ideal after a wedding!

Good restaurant/ bar and beer garden. Food was good, but lots was unavailable on this occasion. Our room was great. A family suite, so basically 2 connected rooms with shared bathroom. Ideal for our family group.

A slightly laughable breakfast scenario, where our token child (17yo) was told she could only have the kids breakfast and nothing else, even though other items, including what she actually wanted, were the same price. Wasn’t a problem as a kids breakfast is more than enough for me lol!

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dennoch alles sauber und zweckmäßig.

Apart from having no brown bread on second morning everything else was good plenty selection. Staff were very friendly.

The bathroom needs a deep clean and upgrade (mould in shower and on floor under sink from the leaky tap. The bar the shower head is on has come away from the wall.

Location was perfect for event i was attending the Macmillan Mighty Hike. Breakfast was good, a decent range but would have liked option of scrambled eggs. Staff were all fantastic

Das Bad war in meinen Augen nicht gar so toll. Ich musste mich sehr vorsichtig auf den Toilettensitz setzen, sonst wäre ich runtergefallen (ernst gemeint). Der Sitz saß sehr locker, ließ sich nicht befestigen. Die Rohrverkleidung war stellenweise morsch u/o nicht vorhanden. Das Silikon an der Badewanne hatte stellenweise schwarze Schimmelflecken. Am Boden der Wanne war das Emaille hier und da weg, Wanne an diesen Stellen schwarz. Ich für meine Verhältnisse vertrage nicht so gut, wenn die Sanitäreinrichtung nicht sauber und gepflegt wirkt. Ich sage bewusst "WIRKTE nicht sauber" (obwohl sie es vielleicht ist). Dieser Anschein entsteht, wenn Instandhaltungsmaßnahmen aufgeschoben werden. Aber☝️ - Der Boden war neu!😁 (Anmerkung von mir: In Sanitärangelegenheiten bin ich ein Sensibelchen.)

Room was spacious and comfortable. Both the bedroom & bathroom were well-maintained and clean. The staff in the hotel were friendly and knowledgeable. The location of the hotel was great; very central.

Toiletries provided were very sparse - some handsoap and some combined shower/hair gel which was nearly empty. The toilets could also do with a refresh or deep clean but this was a minor concern.

The fact they allow dogs in the hotel and to live in the rooms I didn’t like, do you clean the carpet after every stay,coming from Australia we have law called occupational health and safety, would not have happened, so knowing it was this type of hotel I would not have stayed. I mean a dog crawling under the table when we’re trying to eat breakfast and having move so the owner could get the dog away, was not on. I do like dogs but in a public room no way.Was worried I would trip over it while it is sprawled on the restaurant floor.

Hôtel "du pub", de gamme moyenne. Mais on n'est pas dérangé par le bruit. Les chambres, d'ambiance plutôt rétro, sont très correctes et le personnel accueillant. Les repas sont de bonne qualité, sans plus, mais sans moins non plus. Bien placé pour découvrir la région.

Pas de stationnement, mais on peut se garer dans la rue. Pas d’ascendeurs.

The Waverley Hotel is an absolutely belting place to visit! The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I took my elderly mother for a spot of lunch, and as she has several food allergies, I was a little concerned about finding something suitable for her. Stephen and Shaun were absolutely fantastic — they were incredibly helpful, understanding and went above and beyond to make sure my mum was well looked after. It made our visit so much more enjoyable, and we really appreciated the care and attention they gave us. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended

Didn't stay at the hotel, but ate at the pub. Food was very reasonably priced and was very good. The bartenders and servers were very nice and helpful. Would definitely visit here again. A great stop for lunch while shopping in town.

L'accueil était parfait et le personnel à l'écoute. Nous avons pu dîner sur place. Très bon petit déjeuner.

La chambre est un peu bruyante du fait de l'absence de double vitrage sur une rue très passante. Mieux vaut demander une chambre coté cour pour les personnes sensibles au bruit.

Le lit était confortable.

La porte de la douche était cassée. L'hôtel est dans son jus et les employés courent de tous les côtés pour tout faire.

This is the second time I have stayed here and it is a very good hotel the staff are helpful and friendly. The dinner food is good and so is the breakfast.

Great location in the Trossach and close to the scenic three loch forest drive. Callander has everything you need and the Waverley is for sure the place to stay. Btw: best bed blanket I have ever tested.

Meget sentralt. Grei parkering i nærheten, gratis. Veldig god mat i restauranten, enkel bestilling på en App. Koselig lokale restaurant og pub. Meget blid og hyggelig dame som serverte oss frokost. Enkelt å reservere bord i restauranten, fleksible ift at vi fikk bestille dessert (fra baren) selv etter kjøkkenet var stengt.

Dette hotellet, spesielt rommene, trenger å bli pusset litt opp. Madrassene er gamle og litt ubehagelige. Enkelt og greit bad, men ikke rengjort tilstrekkelig - med skitt i dusjen/flisene, en del hår i dusjen og på gulvet på badet. Dynetrekk og laken lå helt skrukkete og passet ikke til dynen(feil størrelse?). Støvete nattbord, lamper, lister, etc. Generell opplevelse av dårlig renhold.

Gemütlich und gut gelegen am „Tor“ zu den Highlands. Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, im angeschlossenen Pub kann man gut essen und eine breite Palette von Bieren und Whiskeys genießen. Tolle Wandermöglichkeiten direkt vor Ort und in der näheren Umgebung.

Die Zimmer zur Straße sind aufgrund der alten und etwas zugigen Fenster ein bisschen laut.

Ruim als familiekamer, de kinderen konden apart slapen. Goede bedden.

Enkel glas aan de straatzijde (drukke straat) en toevallig aan een zebrapad, dus vrij veel lawaai tot 21u. Vuile glazen en tassen op de kamer. Het ontbijt was ondermaats en wij zijn zelfs nog niet veeleisend.

Do think the rooms can be cleaned better not the best if I’m honest.

I live in Callander part-time and I head to the Waverley for dinner a couple times each month, so lots of experiences at this place. Look, if you're wanting some posh holiday meal you're best to stay down in Edinburgh with the rest of the tourists. But if you want an authentic Scottish experience in a wonderful community- full of real, down-to-earth people, then this is the place. The staff are really straightforward and genuine, because that's just how Scotland is and honestly it's pretty refreshing. Also- I'm coeliac and have never once had to worry about being 'glutened' here; they really take extra care with food allergies. All of the Greeneking-owned pubs have the same allergy menu and protocol, so you can eat safely! So walk in and grab a table like you're coming to eat dinner at an old friend's house- and you'll find me out on the patio with my face in a plate of nachos :-)

Aucun Intérêt...petit déjeuner de faible qualité, chambre qui ne ressemble pas a la photo, en bord de route donc bruyant, seche cheveux qui se met a fumer quand on le met en marche, pas de volet (mais cela semble courant en Écosse), une lamps qui ne fonctionne pas, une seule prise qui fonctionne...

OK for an Overnight Stay My wife and I stayed here for one night, and overall it was perfectly adequate for a short stay. The room was quite basic, with a small kettle, tea and coffee provided, and a TV with the usual digital channels. It had everything we needed for one night. The cleanliness was acceptable, although there were a few areas that could definitely be improved. There were some splashes or marks on the walls that hadn’t been cleaned, and the bathroom shower had mould around the seals. The grout also looked like it was overdue for a refresh or replacement. As we were only staying for a single night, these weren’t major issues for us. However, they may be more noticeable for guests staying longer or for anyone expecting a higher standard for the price. The biggest downside was the noise. The street outside became very busy from early in the morning, with traffic and nearby businesses receiving deliveries. Unfortunately, this made for a poor night’s sleep and would probably be the main reason we wouldn’t choose to stay here again. On a positive note, all of the staff we dealt with were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

Hotellet var ret slidt. Lå i tilknytning til en pub. Værelset havde flere mangler, såsom manglende badeforhæng, et meget løst wc-bræt og vinduerne kunne ikke åbnes. Wifi var frit uden kode og der var næsten intet signal. Der var inkluderet morgenmad der var under middel. Kaffe kan de ikke finde ud af at lave. Det var en gang tynd lort. Udrikkeligt.

Loo seat broken, only one socket in the double electrical socket worked. Hairdryer overheated if used on high speed. Nice options on the continental breakfast but coffee was stewed and luke warm, pastries stale.

The pub downstairs was good as was the breakfast and staff were ok too.

The rooms were tired and in need of a revamp. The shower was faulty and beds uncomfortable and the family room 2nd room are 2’6” (small single) so I had to ouch together as we did request it to be made up as a double. Floor boards squeaky and curtains didn’t close together without light coming in each end. The window rattled but we sorted that with a teabag being shoved in the gap! Only 5 tv channels non HD and lamps are broken and were odd lamps in each room. With a bit of love and attention it could be nice.

Tudo. A experiência começa no checkin - não havia ninguém para nos atender. Hotel sujo, parado no tempo. Não é um hotel que tem um bar, é um bar que possui quartos velhos e mal-cheirosos como os banheiros de um pub mal frequentado. Tivemos crise alergica ao entrar no hotel, mal podiamos respirar tamanho era o cheiro ruim e a quantidade de poeira no local. O banheiro não tinha exaustor. A janela não deixava o quarto escuro. Não possui ar-condicionado. Pessoas fumam e falam alto embaixo da janela até tarde da noite e não conta com isolamento acústico. Café da manhã servido por 90 minutos por dia, ridículo - você é obrigado a moldar seu dia em volta da estadia e não o contrario. Não nos sentimos bem vindos. Não possui estacionamento, nem escada. Você deve subir sua bagagem sozinho escada acima depois de parar na rua. Cama desconfortável, travesseiros finos e baixos.

This was a very last minute booking - turned up check in was quick and friendly- the rooms are a little small but it is a older town building so it’s expected- the room was very clear and very comfortable we had a good night sleep with zero noice from the pub or outside- we had a few drinks in the beer garden and ordered food on the app all very good quick service, very good enjoyable food - breakfast was very good as well a good selection and all the staff are very very nice and made us feel welcome the only down side is the menu in the rooms are different prices on the menu in the bar - WiFi drops off and I think some paintings in the rooms need doing again but all in all very good

Very friendly staff, nice collection of local beers in the bar, good place to watch football. Location is just perfect in a very center of Callander.

Windows are blocked from opening more than 15 centimeters for "safety", which makes air quite stale in the small room. Room is too small for longer stay, impossible to unpack for a couple. Breakfast is too monotonous, coffee is terrible.

Worst reception have received in a hotel not even a hello from person checking us in . Booked through hotels.com but on arrival told room only as we had booked bed and breakfast through hotels.com said your not the 1st won't be the last with this issue so with that told us to pay for breakfast and claim it back even though had paid for it already! Room was ok and building works ongoing however never bothered us but given the reception on arrival would not recommend this hotel .

La posizione è centrale. C'è il pub sotto dove c'è un cuoco meraviglioso, il loro Pie è il più buono di tutta la Scozia!! Camera grande, letto comodo.

Le tende oscuranti non oscurano molto. Le camere non sono insonorizzate quindi si sentono i rumori della strada e delle persone in corridoio... ma anche questo è caratteristico!

Zugehörig zum Hotel war ein Restaurant und ein Pub. Sehr praktisch. Essen gut, super Stimmung im Pub.

Room was grubby, headboard still had dandruff on from last guest. Bathroom tired, shower so tiny. Sheets crumpled. Hallways too hot. Although they get me a room at the back to be quiet, it wasnt really as could hear music being played out the back. Breakfast was from the freezer/microwave - would have been better to get a filled roll from the lovely bakery down the road.

The hotel was central to the town. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. The meals are pub style and good value. Staff were friendly.

Being central was a convenient but it was on the Main Street and they traffic noise in the morning was annoying. We had dinner in the restaurant/bar but they couldn’t come up with any English mustard; sorry we don’t have any was the reply. Drink prices were a bit OTT.

Petite chambre, petit lit pour 2. La chambre n'a pas été faite pour la deuxième nuit. Petit déjeuner basique et à partir de 19h, cinq plats du menu étaient épuisés. Les nuitées étaient bon marché, l'un explique l'autre.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the lovely bar downstairs, and the Full British breakfast was good. The town has a charming atmosphere, and I highly recommend exploring the nature trail around the area, especially the beautiful waterfalls.

While my stay was enjoyable, I did notice that the room was a bit tired and showed signs of the hotel’s age. Although the hotel could use some updates, it has its own unique vibe.

Les viennoiseries du petit dejeuner ne sont pas toujours fraiches. Pas de fruits frais sauf des pommes. Propreté tres moyenne. Sols lavés mais pas de depoussierage des lampes, plinthes, ... Personnel peu chaleureux .
