Chambre petite, vieillissante. Salle de bain à améliorer (dans la douche étagère rouillée par exemple) humidité dans la chambre. Difficile pour breakfast, sans produits du terroir, confiture industrielle, fromage insipide et industriel.... Sinon bon accueil, souriante.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026La propriétaire d’une gentillesse extrême la propriété est en bordure du lac et très calme à quelques centaines de mètres du golf. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Je recommande le restaurant Connemara Greenway très bon et John super il parle français.

Na eerdere ervaringen tijdens onze reis door Ierland met B&B’s en de hosts, was deze host weliswaar vriendelijk, maar hanteerde ook wel meerdere regels, wat je vakantiegevoel beïnvloed. De locatie aan het water was mooi, maar door de locatie ook wat afgezonderd, waardoor je voor bijv boodschappen of restaurants op de auto was aangewezen.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Fijn: rust, uitzicht, mooi aan water met bankje voor geweldig uitzicht op het meer Lough Caddic, bij het huis een mooi houten flonder terras, waar je met goed weer lekker buiten kon zitten, schoon. Een attente vriendelijke enthousiaste host. Ze gaf bij aankomst aan leest booking.com berichten niet, dus beter bellen. Gelukkig leverde dit geen enkel probleem op qua inchecken en verblijf. Ze maakte een heerlijk ontbijt en we regen op verzoek heet water in thermos met thee. Gaf tips over omgeving nav onze research, die heel goed pastte bij wat we daar wilden doen (wandelingen, strand, historie) Geweldige artisan bio winkel Sullivans in het dorp, daar zijn we meerdere dagen geweest voor verse producten en vooral heerlijk vers zuurdesem en sodabread.
Het bed was voor ons iets te smal (daar hadden we zelf bij het boeken niet zo goed op gelet) wat toch het slapen zelf net wat onrustig maakte voor mij met bewegelijke partner ;-) Maar dat is wel meer gebruikelijk in Ierland bleek bij volgende accommodaties.

Für 3 Personen war es sehr beengt im Zimmer - leider. Ansonsten sehr gut.

La salle du petit déjeuner est cosy et typique irlandaise. Nous sommes en immersion dans une ambiance paisible et douce du pays, au sein du logement.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026The location is excellent, away from traffic, with a beautiful lake view. A place that's supposed to be peaceful.
Stay cut short after just one night, despite a 3-night booking. Right from arrival, the check-in time was changed 2 hours before my scheduled 4pm arrival and pushed back to 6:30pm due to painting work on the terrace. This was followed by a string of very strict rules that were never mentioned at booking: not allowed to keep shoes in the room (they had to be left in a hallway already cluttered with about ten other pairs, making it smell bad), not allowed to open the window at night, a single fixed breakfast time at 8:00am with no flexibility whatsoever — which then arrived 15 minutes late, with no greeting or apology for the delay. The continental breakfast itself was basic, served at the table with toasted bread because it wasn't fresh, and very limited in choice and quantity. The ground-floor room picks up every footstep from the floor above (wooden flooring, poorly insulated), forcing a wake-up at 6:30am because of the upstairs guests! The bathroom was outdated (rusty shelf, fixed shower head). My toiletries were moved onto the toilet tank without my consent while I was out. The owner was also very intrusive about guests' daily plans. One tip: park your car perfectly aligned with the others, or you may be asked to move it. More concerning from a safety standpoint: the smoke detector in the room wasn't blinking at all, suggesting it wasn't working. Overall the atmosphere was oppressive and controlling, the opposite of the freedom you'd expect from a stay. I would not recommend this place at all. Je ne recommande pas du tout cet hébergement.

Mary hat uns eine schöne Route für Connemara empfohlen und uns ein leckeres Frühstück bereitet. Wenn es uns noch einmal in diesen Teil des Landes verschlägt, kommen wir gerne wieder!

Noi avevamo la camera con una bellissima vista sul lago. La padrona di casa attenta cortese e disponibile. Veramente consigliato a chi vuole visitare il Connemara e Galway.

Das Zimmer und das Bad waren etwas klein, aber wir waren eh nur zum schlafen und zum Frühstück da. Wenn man evtl zu dritt und nassgeregnet zurück kommt, hat man leider nicht viele Möglichkeiten die Sachen zum trocknen aufzuhängen. Das Problem hatten wir nicht, von demher alles super.

Vermieterin zwar freundlich, jedoch sehr eigene Vorstellungen, wann man zum Frühstück zu erscheinen hat. Tag 1 vereinbarte Uhrzeit 9 h; um 08:45 h wurde mehrfach an Zimmertür geklopft und gefragt, warum wir noch nicht da wären. Tag 2 vereinbarte Uhrzeit 8 h; um 08:05 h wurde intensivst und beharrlich an unserer Zimmertür geklopft und dann gefragt, warum wir noch nicht im Frühstücksraum säßen. Wir empfanden dies als anstrengend und übergriffig.

Idyllische Lage direkt am See, große Terrasse vor dem Haus, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer, alles sehr sauber, das Bad ist sehr eng, aber mit genügend Ablagemöglichkeiten. Parkplätze sind für alle Gäste auf dem Grundstück vorhanden. Die freundliche Gastgeberin umsorgt ihre Gäste perfekt. Frühstückszeit ist entweder um 8 oder um 9 Uhr. Man hat die Wahl zwischen full irish oder continental breakfast. Frisches Obst, Joghurt, Müsli, Saft, Croissants, Marmelade ... alles super. Die Lage etwas außerhalb empfinden andere Bewerter als negativ, beim Blick auf die Karte weiß man das aber vorher. Wir waren begeistert und wären gerne länger geblieben.

De gastvrouw vond het maar niks dat we de telefoon niet hadden opgenomen. Dat doen we altijd als het een onbekend nummer is. We hadden nog wel het nummer gecheckt met die van de B&B maar dat bleek een ander nummer te zijn.

Die Matratzen sind schon ziemlich durchgelegen und das Bad war sauber aber einfach.

Breakfast timing wasn't very flexible - either 8am or 9am was the choice. We realised the 2nd morning we had to leave earlier than 8am for our flight so had to miss breakfast - nothing was offered to us to keep us going - not even cereal.

Le petit-déjeuner est aussi fabuleux, on a le choix entre le petit-déjeuner irlandais et le continental, sur les 2 jours où on est resté on a pu tester les 2 et ils sont parfaits aussi.

Unser Zimmer war hübsch, gemütlich und hatte einen tollen Ausblick, mit eigenem Bad. Mary hatte uns freundlich begrüßt und alles gezeigt. Zum Frühstück serviert Mary Irish Breakfast und eine Auswahl von süßen Speisen .
Wir wurden abends aus dem Frühstücksraum gebeten, als wir noch einen Tee (laut Beschreibung inklusive) trinken wollten. Das Frühstück hat feste Zeiten. Da wir an einem Morgen wegen eines Ausflugs sehr früh los mussten, bekamen wir gar kein Frühstück. Es wurden uns leider nicht einmal Müsli, Milch oder die Möglichkeit für einen schnellen Kaffee/Tee zum Selbermachen, bereitgestellt. Sehr schade! Andere Gastgeber waren da echt zuckersüß und zuvorkommender!
