Lakeland Midsummer Lakehouse

We had a beautiful room with a view of the lake. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Gary was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Very narrow road to reach location, but worth it!

The household dogs, Billy and Zola are sweet and wonderful :)

Great location, really big room, great service and cracking breakfast

Nothing

enormous room, excellent bathroom. best breakfast in our 20 day trip! Most kind and hospitable host.

Excellent breakfast! Gary was a wonderful host.

.

One of the loveliest places I've stayed in. Spacious room with a great lakeside view. Wonderful breakfast and very friendly hosts. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

The Lakehouse is a fabulous stay with just the right amount of care and attention and independence. Environment has a lovely outlook, easily accessible to anywhere you want to go. A great central point for travelling.

Very friendly hosts.

Great B and B in a lovely location right on Lake Corrib. Gary is a good host and his dogs are gorgeous. Very friendly, and wanting to play, Billy even led us to our room. Very good breakfast, I particularly enjoyed the crepes with fruit. Very clean with a very comfortable bed. We will be back next year, and hope Billy will have a new ball.

L accueil exceptionnel, l emplacement parfait.

wonderful host Gary; fantastic Irish breakfast with some fresh fruit and joghurt as a buffet; two lovely dogs who want to play all the time; great big room with lakeview; remote area to relax

the ceiling of the shower could be renewed as it looks a little bit gross, but other than that: no complaints

Really nice place to stay It’s clean and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Billy and Zola make the place feel even more special. We really enjoyed my stay

It was very clean and nice and quiet breakfast was fantastic and the owner was very welcoming

Very clean and quiet

Breakfast was great, as was the peace and quiet. We also had a deck we could sit out on and look over a lake that was about 100 meters away.

it was a bit remote.

Stunning location, spacious room and delicious breakfast!

We had a very pleasant stay at this bed and breakfast just outside Galway. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were especially comfortable so we slept very well. The location near the lake was a real plus, making it easy to reach both Connemara National Park and Galway city without much driving. The host was friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and the breakfast each morning was tasty and satisfying. Overall, a wonderful and comfortable place to stay if you're exploring the area.

Gary provides and cooks a satisfying breakfast and is a most convivial host. He is attentive and accommodating. The bed and the shower were excellent and the room was quite comfortable. The view of Lough Corrib from both the room and the breakfast room is lovely. Just a little off of the N 59, the property is not difficult to find. This is a well placed location from which to explore Galway. Eat at Powers in town. I highly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to return.

No complaints.

Location is very Nice, room with a view, nice breakfast, amazing birdlife and wild orchids

The bathroom could use some good cleaning (there are moulds outside of the showercabin.

The property was wonderful! Stunning location for a getaway. Two lovely dogs there to greet you upon arrival. Lovely breakfast and lovely hosts!

Great Irish breakfast and very friendly staff. The dogs are lovely and playful. The location is just amazing, especially if you have one of the rooms overlooking the lake, really beautiful sunrises there! The rooms are very spacious. On our arrival we had a delayed flight and the hosts were kind enough to receive us way past the check-in hours.

The matters was a bit soft for our liking but other than that everything was great.

We had a beautiful big room and a small terrace with a table outside where we could have our dinner. Quiet place in a romantic position. Friendly dogs. Gary did his best to help us with our needs and we were grateful for that. He has a particular sense of humor. We stayed there for 2-3 days but I am sure there would have been much more to see in the area. Very good price for the value offered.

would appreciate a variation of food in the continental breakfast and the availability of Italian expresso coffee

Very good breakfast and lovely dogs. A fantastic lake view.

Fantastic, highly recommended. Breakfast was very good, hosts very pleasant, with lots of helpful advice, including recommendations. Lakeside location was beautiful and the accommodation was comfortable with everything you would need.

No complaints at all

Friendly owner and very good breakfast

All good

Location was great, beautiful view, great breakfast.

Location..breakfast was top class..great quality but the highlight of our stay (apart from Billy and Zeus the dogs) had to be the bed..Best nights sleep..so so comfortable ..there's nothing to complain about here..perfect stay!

Absolutely nothing.

Pleasant view, Clean comfortable room with adequate extras supplied (coffee, toiletries etc.) Great ample breakfast.

Did not seem as though there was possibility for purchase of cool refreshments and only option was trip of 3 odd kilometers to Oughterad.

On arrival, Gary took us around to our room which overlooked Lough Corrib. The room was spacious & comfortable plus we’d an outside seating area. The location is fantastic. Breakfast next morning was full Irish. Excellent!

Nothing, we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful location, excellent host, beautiful food, comfortable accomodation😃

The location was beautiful, so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was lovely and our host was friendly, funny and a great cook. We would definitely stay there again

Everything was perfect

Gary, the host was so relaxed, helpful and friendly! The rooms are huge, you have so much space, there is even a terrace with the view of the lake. It was so quiet, so if you look for some rest, you'll definitely find it there. It's also only a half hour drive to Galway. The breakfast was perfect.

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Large room with a great view. Really comfy bed. Great to have a fridge to use.

The patio area in front of our room looked a bit neglected. It gave the wrong impression because inside was great.

Lake a few yards from our room; room spacious and comfortable; breakfast excellent.

Restricted evening dinner choices (in village)

Very personable and helpful host. Delightful location beside the lake. Excellent breakfast.

A little off the main road but worth the drive given the the environment and beautiful location.

Beautiful lakeside location. Gary was so helpful. Two lovely friendly dogs. Very well behaved

Beautiful lake experience. Host helpful and beds comfortable.

Very comfortable, quiet, very clean and a wonderful breakfast…

Nothing

We got to stay in a very nice holiday home. I do intend to stay there again.

Ok..... by far one of our favourite stays in Ireland! The rooms here are bigger then most peoples living rooms with a view of a sunrise that will make you cry. This place and it's grounds are stunning it was an absolute treasure to find and get to stay here.... oh and the breakfast....... don't even get me started! 1000% Opt in to have breakfast here! you wont regret it. It was DELISIOUS! The owner is great and has an amazing sense of humor, with 2 dogs that love pats and to play fetch! We miss it here, one night was NOT long enough! We also appreciated the flowers for our anniversary!

There is nothing we didn't like, but this place is in the country so expect country. It's 1000% worth it and a true gem!

The location is a piece of heaven on the lake. Serene, clean, and Gary is a gem. His breakfasts put to shame any we had subsequently. I would love to return.

Nothing

Thanks to Gary ☘️♥️🇮🇪 and the dogs mmmmmh lovely. Wonderful stay!

Location, value for money , will return but this time arrive earlier, so that we can enjoy our surroundings

Nothing

Gary is the perfect host. Ready and willing to chat, but also not pushy. The place is amazing, beds are comfy, and the scenery is beautiful. I'm going to try to make this a yearly trip. But he books out very quick.

He is very popular so books out quick. I just got lucky.

Beautiful setting, a large and very comfortable room with a very comfortable bed, more like a hotel than a b&b. Big double glass doors onto decking with a separate entrance. Friendly helpful owner. Fresh fruit salad with a hearty breakfast.

Lake view apartment, calm place, great breakfast and the dogs 🐕

-

Great comfort, nice place in front of lough Corrib, big good breakfast and overall hospitality

We enjoyed our stay very much. Great lake view. Super friendly dogs. Great breakfast. Fully recommended. Gary: thanks a lot for your support!

Great location, comfortable bed, good breakfast. What more could we want?

The shower was a little disappointing, very poor pressure.

Host is very nice Room is clean Breakfast was excellent

Toilet is a little old

Large room with a view of the lake. Very quiet.

Difficult to locate with Google Maps but just asked the locals for help.

Homely Atmosphere

Nicely presented and location. Great host. Very friendly very informative and engaging

Very good location: The apartment was situated 20 m from Corrib Lake and we could see the swans from our balcon. Very good breakfast, the proprietor indicated us very good places to walk.

Beautiful location. Tasty breakfast!

Nice big room and friendly dogs

Bathroom bit dated Breakfast menu could have been provided for choosing night before

Lovely place, right on the lake. Friendly owner and nice breakfast, would recommend!

The Lakehouse felt just like a summer cottage at the lake shore. Wonderful, quiet area and beautiful views. Very nice host, big and clean room. In the morning we got huge irish breakfast plus there were also fruit, cereals and everything to get full for the whole day. There were most adorable dogs at the property !

The road to get to the place is very narrow and a bit far from the main road. The bathroom and furniture at the terrace are rather old and would require a bit of improvement/renovation. It is a shame really that the pier next to lake is more of a ruin with trash and concrete construktions and does not allow the swim or simply relaxing time at the shore. The place is so stunning, what a shame...

View on the lake. Big room and bathroom Fantastic irish breakfast Very Nice host+++

Perfect location for a lovely relaxing evening after touring the Connemara National Park

Nothing

The property with it's lake views is great value for money. The rooms were neat, beds were very comfortable and breakfast was great. The dogs were lovely too. You will need a car to come here. Recommended stay enroute Connemara National Park!

beautiful setting, large comfortable room, and wonderful host. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Food was great. Nice and hot. Host was friendly, helpful and funny. Room was very spacious. Loved the bath.

Deck chairs could be repainted or replaced.

Lovely breakfast overlooking the lake and great chat with the host. The bedroom was more than enough with a double bathroom.

Minor issues. Sadly the wooden deck needs to be replaced. Bigger towels please! Clear the shower drain if possible.

very nice spacy room , lake view , good breakfest.

The location is wonderful, with rooms in front of the lake. Very peaceful place! The owner was very sympathetic

Bedroom furniture are quite old, especially in the bathroom (shower and towels)

Hosts were very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. There were kitchen facilities there for making tea and coffee. Lovely views out to Lough Corrib. Breakfast was good - just what I wanted before running the Connemarathon. I would definitely recommend this b and b and would stay there again.

It was all good.

Unbelievable place, clean, comfortable and very friendly owners… Super recommend…
