The location on the High Street. Lovely rooms. Friendly staff
Can’t think of anything
Rooms are always immaculate and the staff are always friendly
Nothing not to like
It’s a beautiful place and exceptional well done
Nothing
So modern and very clean
The bed was very uncomfortable that’s our only fault
Echt heel goed mooie accomodatie en goed bed. Het ligt middenin het plaatsje!
Lovely staff, excellent location, quiet
Room very hot , no air conditioning

Very central to Burford, very clean, lovely staff, easy check in and access , lovely food with 20% off in cafe

We found the location perfect for our overnight stay. Our room was nice and clean and set in a lovely courtyard. We had breakfast in the tearooms which was great. We managed to park at the front of the tearooms where you can park for 2 hours free and later we moved the car across the road where it is not time restricted and also free. Burford is a busy village with lots of shops and pubs we found it a great location for visiting Bourton on the water, Stow on the wold and Broadway.
We didn’t dislike anything.
Quiet stay and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was huge and delicious and hot. Well equipped room and spotlessly clean
Was a little on the small side but it was only a short stay so not a problem as we didn’t have much luggage
Everything was lovely. A lovely private courtyard at the rear of the property to relax.
Everything was lovely
Outstanding location and close to everything Burford has to offer.
The small bathroom doesn’t have anywhere obvious (ledge/shelf) to put a toiletry bag and the water from the shower seeps across the floor in front of the sink. Not a criticism (as the price is very reasonable) - but something to be aware of.
Posizione eccellente
Bidoni della spazzatura nell’Ingresso della struttura
Location convenient value for Money
Small room but perfect for 1/2 Night
Location, clean and comftorbale rooms, easy access and nice courtyard area to chill out in as well.
We found it an ideal place for a one night stopover on route to York.
Lovely room, everything that we needed. The electric fan was a bonus for us. Comfortable bed, would stay again. Outside sitting area was lovely.
The only thing I would suggest is a light in the cupboard, very dark. Everything else was functional.
Great central location.
Very small, but had everything we needed. Good use of space. But did feel cramped.
Ottima posizione e se pur piccolo confortevole
The property was on the main high street very convenient for most things you might need for your stay.
Nothing.
Perfect location on the high street. Cute little rooms with lovely quiet communal garden area. Met the owner who was friendly & chatty.
The polyester thick duvet
The property was in a decent location central to Burford. It was clean and it smelt amazing. The bed was comfy and the private garden which is shared with other guest was an added bonus. 20% off at the Priory tea rooms was great.
The pillows were flat and the room could do with a mini fridge as once all the shops close there is no way of buying/ keeping drinks cold in the hot weather.
Amazing place to stop ,room was beautiful design, every thing was spotless. Lovely outdoor space to unwind ,breakfast was fanatics in the tea room ,staff were so friendly will be back

La posizione
Camere veramente troppo piccole
It had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy, set in a lovely location.
Nothing
Location was great. The rooms are out the back of the tea rooms so there was very little road noise. The shower was good and the bed comfortable.
The room was small. It was ok for the one night we were in the area for a wedding. But it would be too small for a much longer stay.
Absolutely everything .exceeded my expectations. Room was exceptionally clean and private. Breakfast was superb and the staff were amazing.
Nothing
Immaculately presented rooms which are tastefully decorated. Very comfortable bed and thank you for providing 2 flat pillows as too many places have one large bulky pillow & I can only sleep with a flat pillow. Perfect for a short stay and right in the very heart of Burford. Well landscaped & relaxing courtyard garden which is a quiet, peaceful sanctuary. This was our third visit & I would highly recommend this accommodation. Friendly, helpful owner.
It was all lovely.
Room was lovely, had everything we needed and more. Was quiet and peaceful. Was clean, tidy, comfy beds, great locations and the instructions for accessing the property were excellent. We loved that breakfast was extra (we aren't always hungry in the morning) but discounted for guests staying in the accommodation. Looking forward to coming back next time we visit the area!
We only stayed one night and we definitely would have enjoyed more time here but that's our fault!
Comfy beds, good location and good value
The bathroom is a wet room - it would have been better if the shower had a separate floor space so it didn’t make the whole bathroom wet when taking a shower.
De locatie was perfekt.
Beetje krappe behuizing
The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean. Fabulous location, courtyard just perfect. Amazing breakfast. Cannot wait to visit again

Room spotless, lovely area to sit in the private garden

Lovely little room, great nights sleep.
Beautiful clean rooms, outside was a commune area for people staying with patio furniture lovely to have somewhere to sit early morning and evening. East to access, will stay again first class.
Le camere sono nuove, pulite e ben curate. La struttura è sulla via principale del paese.

Easy to find. Rooms and courtyard are amazing. Breakfast was awesome too.
It’s a pain having to carry bags from Church Lane car park.
We had the perfect stay at the Priory Tea Rooms. Messaged Justin a few times before our arrival with our plans. Replied quickly & was absolutely fine with our surprise 60th for my husband. Warm welcome from Deb. Couldn't do enough for us. Perfect peaceful location. Comfortable clean rooms. Lovely food in the tea rooms with discount. Generously gave my husband a free breakfast on his birthday & didn't charge for the birthday cake I ordered, which we were overwhelmed with, so kind Already looking at dates to book again next summer. All five of us had the best time. Thank you Justin, Deb & the rest of your friendly team.
Nothing to not like.
Location, cleanliness, facilities in room and lovely sunny outside seating
Bed was a bit small - appreciate space constraint of room though
I was happy with everything, and was especially surprised with how quiet it was bearing in mind it is in the centre of Burford. The courtyard garden seating area was an added bonus. As a single person I felt very safe and comfortable there.
Having private parking would have been a bonus.
Beautiful rooms very modern and well equipped we slept really well loved the private outside area such a lovely peaceful area staff were very friendly and Burford is very central to the Cotswolds and great place on its own full of character
Only thing we found would be a great addition to the rooms would be a mini fridge
Nice place, tucked away on main street, but quiet. Lovely outside seating area.
A little bit tight on space, ie not easy to make a cuppa! But can managed.
Great location and friendly staff
Perfectly located in Burford High Street. Rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Lovely private patio garden to sit in and relax. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again in the future.
Cute and cozy place. Very quaint. Great location.
The directions to finding the room key was a little confusing we were looking for an alleyway and ended up being a door way but otherwise no complaints.
Excellent breakfast I could ask for no more and was not expecting it to be so well equipped and thoughtl full
Nothing
The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything you needed, including a fan which was great because the weather was very warm when we visited. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and communication regarding check in was spot on and easy. The location was great, in the middle if the town but set back behind the main street with their own private little courtyard. This was a great addition especially in the sunny weather where we could sit out with a drink or have breakfast.
The priory bakery didnt open until 9.30 which we felt was a little late as we were expected to check out by 10.30. So we bought breakfast from a different bakery in the town so we could take things a bit more leisurely and still have time to brush our teeth afterwards before checking out.
We absolutely loved our stay here the staff were so helpful it’s in a cute little place. Will definitely be back.
It was clean & comfortable. In the centre of town. It was nice & quite, set back from the main road. There were no stairs.
All minor things that would make the stay a little better. A shelf in the shower would be handy. The shelf over the sink is hard to use without bumping ones head. maybe move the mirror from behind the TV. Security catches on the windows so they could be left open would be handy. A flannel would have been nice. NO SMOKING please.
Location good, didn’t have breakfast
Would have been nice to have a comfortable chair to sit on, stool was too high, if weather bad you can not always sit outside
Breakfast was amazing, staff very nice and helpful Debs remembered us from our last visit
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
Everything about the stay was great - the room is very small but for one night or a weekend, that's just fine, but being honest here, do not expect anything other. In terms of facilities, everything is there that's needed, packed away but available. No aircon but a fan in the room and we were really just there to shower and sleep and let's face it, how often in this country do we really need aircon (well as it happened on this weekend it would have been nice, but thats an exception). Do not take what I am saying though as anything negative the room is new, modern, clean, and the showers, toilets spotless and everything you need, it's just not spacious but very nice. But there is something that made our stay even more special, we were there to visit the Farmer's Dog and our hosts could not have been more helpful in arranging a ride for us when no taxi's were available, even using the services of a friend, who was himself unbelievably helpful, if this is the mark of overall service and value for money then 10/10. only gave it a 9 as in life everything can be improved, but take it from me, stay here you wil not be dissapointed. Finally, if you are in need of a ride to the Dog you can ask you host for a contact to Vince.
more space and air con but really not needed, maybe if these heatwaves continue, then it might become so.
Everything we will be back.
Very clean and comfortable. Room quite small but good for short stays.
Nothing
Cosy and comfortable ..I liked the court yard garden outside the rooms
The staff were so welcoming .The accommodation was super and location perfect .
We wanted a property situated in the middle of Burford for a three night stay while on a long trip round the U.K. This property ticked all boxes the rooms were comfortable with great showers and breakfast in the attached tea rooms was excellent. The owner was very helpful
Nothing
Recently converted rooms to rear of owners Teashop in Burford High Street. Rooms are quite compact but very well designed and fitted out with high quality fixtures and fittings. Clean and modern, neutral colour scheme and everything absolutely immaculate. Quality furniture, oak fittings, comfortable bed and spotless linen. En-suite excellent - again high quality fittings throughout, well designed and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden to rear for guests. No dedicated parking but Burford has lots of free on street parking nearby - we had no problem despite being Festival Week. Burford is always busy and lively because its a beautiful town - best in Cotswolds. Quality shops. Good pubs/restaurants. The perfect place for a weekend getaway - and we'll return soon.
I struggle to find fault! Just two tiny suggestions - a small corner shelf at shoulder height in the shower (just for shower gel/shampoo/sponge) would be helpful - saves groping on the wet floor - not easy for over 80's!. And a biscuit with our morning tea would be nice!
So compact yet complete
I did not like the small shower gel bottles, I have Arthritis in my hands so I really struggled with this. A croissant or biscuit would have been appreciated.
Breakfast lovely, location great
Nothing all good
Comfortable and cosy.
Spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. Great location and a reasonable price.
We have stayed at The Priory quite a few times in the past and the rooms were excellent. This time we had room 6 which was extremely small and cramped with just enough room for a double bed a small wardrobe and one bedside table with drawers. The tea making facilities were in the shelf at the top of the wardrobe and not at all convenient. There was nowhere on the left of the bed to store anything and no room to place a bedside table as it abutted the wardrobe. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. It was a wet room. Unfortunately the curtain around the shower area did not reach the foot and subsequently the first person to use the shower caused the whole of the floor, in front of the toilet and the was basin, in fact to bathroom door, to become saturated. This meant, of course that the next person to use the bathroom trod through a soaking wet floor. A sad experience after the great times we have had in past.
Great location, right on the main road, easy check in and check out process, lovely clean room
We booked all 5 room as we were visiting The Farmers Dog and Diddly Squat Farm with friends. The Priory Tearooms was the perfect location and privacy just made it even better. Justin and his partner were very welcoming and helpful. Thank you.
Perfect location. Really nice clean rooms. Would stay here again
Location, cleanliness, price
Very warm, thin walls could hear every move
Lovely place to stay for a night or 2, rooms were clean and tidy. And the breakfast was delicious 😋
Only issue we had was the floor for the shower needed to be designed differently as the whole bathroom floor was soaking after I had a shower.other than that everything was great.
A lovely, clean, comfortable room set in a gorgeous courtyard. The room had everything supplied; hairdryer, tea making supplies, iron and ironing board and even a fan - some of these you have to ask for in big hotels. The courtyard has plenty of seating, perfect for relaxing on a summer’s evening or a pre-dinner drink. Bring your own is allowed and not a problem. Check in was seamless and the lady who appeared to be in charge was pleasant, friendly and professional. Excellent value for money.
Nothing really. As it’s a tearoom, it is not open for early breakfast (opens 9.30am). But I knew this in advance and was directed to a local bakery for breakfast, which opened earlier. Not an issue at all.
Great little place everything you need
Nothing
Clean, comfortable and in a great location. The room we stayed in was at the rear of the Tea Rooms and accessed via a lovely guest only patio area with tables, chairs and parasols all of which we used as the weather was beautiful☀️ The coffee wasn’t too bad either, particularly as there was a guest discount 😀
Excellent location and very clean. Lovely courtyard, safe and welcoming.
Clean and great location
Nothing
Great value, lovely staff and decent rooms
Everything was great
It was an amazing room very clean and comfortable. All staff lovely, Justin and Lisa very helpful and great breakfast from Debs in the coffee shop. Will definitely be returning.
Beautiful little find x
Everything you could possibly want. It even has a lovely outdoor sitting area.
The room was comfortable but a little on the small side but still absolutely fine. It might get hot in the middle of summer because there’s No A/C but I am just guessing?
Cosy room
Location was excellent
Room was lovely, clean, nice bathroom but quite small, no where to really put anything.
Breakfast on site was good. Staff v helpful and courteous
Parking the car is an issue as The Priory is on Burford's High Street.
Very clean room small but adequate for a short stay could do with a better seat in the room
Parking can be an issue as Burford is a very busy place
Everything
Great Location, clean, modern tidy accomodation.
Lovely place half the price of the Travelodge 300yds away on a Saturday
Room maybe a bit on the small side but thats just being really picky
Fab location, and the service was excellent, property very clean and tidy and the outside court yard area a good addition, out of hours access very simple
Room was tight it needed space for a chair and in my view it needed a side table on both sides of the bed
Newly remodeled in a quaint setting.
Checking in and out was dead easy. There's staff there if you need them but you can essentially pick up your key and let yourself in and leave your key in the designated place in the way out. No queuing and waiting for people to do any paperwork.
Easy check-in. Fab location. Outside seating area a bonus
Would have preferred a chair to sit on rather than a stool. Heating came on late and it was very difficult to read the dials and control panel as the bed extremely close to radiator plus due to my mobility this didn’t help the matter It had been a very hot day so we were surprised to find the heating on but eventually managed to turn it right down. Also would have preferred a lighter quilt
We stayed in a really cute room at the back of the property. It was tiny, but cosy and serviceable for one night. They’ve got it set up with a lovely courtyard area and everything is quite fresh and newly constructed.
In the heart of burford, close to visit family and friends in Witney. Beautiful clean, fresh room with everything you could need. Towels changed daily along with room cleaned. Tearoom on site which did fabulous breakfasts in the mornings if you wanted to eat there. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff, a real jewel which we will definitely be using again.
A cute, quaint little establishment in the most perfect location. We had a great stay and loved Burford as a base. The breakfast was lovely too and would definitely choose priory tearooms to stay again.
Small but fit for purpose
Really clean, staff were friendly, perfect location and great facilities. It had everything we needed for a short break.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like,
The quality of towels and bedding, the quality of the mattress, was all excellent. Iron/board, teas/coffee and both semi skimmed and full fat uht all great. Loved our stay.
It’s been said before 1) a print out map of where you can/can’t park 2) shelf in shower cabinet would work a treat. Wouldn’t stop me staying here again tho. Loved the trust from staff too.
Location. Friendliness of staff. Lovely, clean, modern rooms. Fabulous breakfast in the tea rooms with discount for ‘residents’
We found the room very hot and tried to adjust the heating. We opened windows but also found the quilt a bit hot for us. Maybe a spare sheet in case of finding it a bit too warm. We were in room 3 with windows to the side and the blinds allowed in a lot of light. Maybe a blackout blind?
