Thu Bon Riverside Homestay

lovely hosts

The view is amazing and the owners were so lovely and welcoming. This place is very quite and at the same time quite close to the city centre and all attractions in Hoi An. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect

Walking distance from the historical center. Nice view from the terrace. Quiet location.

view from the balcony was very nice, room was clean and the host family super friendly and helpful.

25 minute walk to old town

My room at the third floor had a private balcony with a nice view of the river. The bed was comfortable and the room clean with Ac and fan. There is an amazing vegan restaurant nearby.

It is a quite far from the old town and it is convenient to use grab which is easy and very cheap.

Sinon super gentil

The owner and family are very kind and helpful.

A 21 aprox.

Very clean and comfortable room, great view from pleasant balcony. Location was nearby good cafes and restaurants, and scooter parking out front. Everyone living there was friendly.

Free drinking water refill would be nice. Some information on checkin would be good as well.

L'emplacement, la vue

L'odeur

It was very quiet and I had a room facing the river. Beautiful view from my balcony.

That they don't have water refill. I don't like buying plastic bottles but found a place near by where I could refill.

Lovely location in a quiet part of town. We used the bikes for free which was helpful. A lovely lady knocked on our door and brought us watermelon. This is a budget homestay so don't expect clean towels and the bed making or bins emptied every day.

Seems more tired than the pictures show.

The beds were very comfortable, the best we had throughout Vietnam so far. The staff were very helpful and kind considering they were also celebrating tet.

Its pretty far out, a half an hour walk to the main centre. They do provide bicycles though i was just not willing to brave the chaos of their roads and traffic.

Staff was very friendly and kind, and the location is amazing - very quiet with river views, but within walking distance to the ancient town.

Lovely friendly hosts, clean room and a fantastic view. Great value too

Nichts

sạch sẽ, thoai mai

Pretty good l, yhey gave me a nike very laid back area. The rooom had a nice patio.

Location of the room was good. River view from balcony. We can see the sunset on river bed easily that was an amazing moment.

Friendly staff, very clean, a good sized room with a pleasant bathroom, and a lovely view from the balcony. The location was also excellent, outside of the busy centre, but still a number of restaurants nearby.

Bon emplacement, vue sur la rivière

The large balcony over looking river

Air conditioning wasn't working so well. Fan made a loud sound when it was turned up as needed

WOW! This homestay far exceeded our expectations! The owners were super friendly and nice. The room is clean and has a GREAT view on the river (it was so great to chill and watch the fishing boats at sunset). We were so happy to stay there (wish we could have spent even more time there). Location is perfect to reach old town on a nice bicycle ride (available at the homestay). THANK YOU!

So glad we stayed here, it was perfect. The room was big, clean and comfortable with a huge balcony with an amazing and serene river view. After the chaos of the hoi an streets it is nice to return home here. Although there was a language barrier, our hosts were so kind and accommodating.

It is a 20-minute walk away from town which is a lovely walk, but if you want to be in the center this is not that. They offer bikes for free but they are not very strong (still got us around and to the beach though.)

Excellent stay, you couldn't ask for much more for the price. There was an incredibly comfortable bed, a balcony with a lovely river view, friendly staff members, and warm water + air conditioning. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the main town (or a 5-minute bike ride), which was perfect for me. The main town is absolutely flooded with people at all hours of the day, so being able to get away from it was great. Highly recommend!

Everything was great. You will have to share a communal refrigerator, so if you have anything to be kept cold, you'll have to go downstairs to store it.

Our room was spacious and clean. Really good shower. Unfortunately didn’t have a view of the river (on the road side) but the garden was nice to sit in. About a 20 min walk to the old town but you can borrow bikes (free of charge) which is great! Owners were always lovely and easy going. Very sweet dog!

Very welcoming stay! Had a beautiful room with a great view. Clean and comfortable room, nice location as out of the main old town.

Great view, clean room, nice family and good location - what else can you want?

Fair nice

Nice place

A Nice clean specious room with a porch right by the river in a quiet neighborhood, away from the busy center yet close to it by bike that the family land you. The bed is very comfortable, all facilities are good. The real highlight though is the family itself, who is the nicest i have met. In the time i had stayed with them i was invited to their celebrations and dinners. They helped in any way the could, including father saving the day taking me to the station when my ride was late. The mother of the family is a beautiful lady, a true angel who prepared vegetarian meals especially for me, in the house and even for the road when i left. Tinh is just the best! She's young, speaks good English, knows everything and always with a smile, and her sweet son is the cherry on top the cake. To sum it up, you enjoy a hotel-like room and services, but you get to know the great people of Vietnam. Thank you very much Tinh and all the family ♥️ I highly recommend this homestay.

The family were lovely and very friendly. The highlight for us was being able to use the free bicycles to cycle around the different cycle trails and paths. They gave us a kettle when we asked for water to make our own tea and coffee and even had a water filter to fill up water bottles. The view from our top floor room was lovely. Lovely, quieter stay out of the hustle and bustle of Hoi An!

The owners were super nice and rent us the bikes for free and helped us to book a car to Danang. And rent a motorbike. We had a nice balcony and a comfortable room.

Clean and amazing view. Friendly family staff.

Nothing

Lovely hotel with an stunning view from the balcony! Amazing family owners, comfy rooms, great location not too far of a walk into the centre of everything

Nothing

Perfect

Super nice family running the place, we stayed in 3 out of 4 of the rooms, all really nice and beautiful location.

Awesome room with great view. One of the best places that I had in Vietnam. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is cheap and good.

It's a bit far from the center (2km) but they have bicycles for free that you can use if you don't rent a motorbike.

- lovely room & great view on the river - lovely family - bikes for free - huge terrace & room - everything clean - comfortable bed

- nothing!!

The homestay is next to the river and very beautiful. The view from the balcony ist great! And they also have a nice terrace with View of the river, where you can eat breakfast (best banana pancake!) Everything is very new and clean and the owners are very nice and always ready to Help you.

Really Clean and comfy room with lake view!

Very nice Homestay, the family are so nice and helpful. The room was very nice clean and bright with nice view on the river and balcony. They provided FREE bicycle :) The location is 20min walk more or less to the city centre but with the bicycle provide it is perfect. They also arranged a taxi for Danag when we checked out for a good price compared to Grab.

very nice family, clean room with great view from the balcony, as the home stay is about 20 min walking to the old town they offer free bike rental which is very considerate

nothing

Very nice room, with super nice patio with a beautiful view over the river. The hotel is located a short bike ride from the city center (the hotel has bikes for free) which was really nice, as Hoi An city center is overwhelmed with tourists. I strongly recommand staying there - and would go back if ever in Hoi An.

Breakfast wasn't great, but it's not really a big deal since there are tones of places to eat in Hoi An

Best homestay in hoi an go here directly if you are around.

Nothing everything it’s very very good , and hoste very very kind

The family who run this place are so helpful and kind. They were truely a pleasure to meet. It has safe parking for motorbike/bicycle. You can also take one of their bicycles into the town. Rooms were exeptionally clean and the river view was peaceful. You also have a mosquito net which is great. The Cafe Sua that they make is also very nice.

The staff were very nice and it was one of the cheaper rooms available in the area.

My room is advertised as a " deluxe room with a balcony". I feel this was misleading as there was nothing deluxe about the room. Also as many of the properties in the town have misleading high ratings . That was a mosquito net provided so that you could keep the metal plate door open, it's close to the water and sunset sunrise there are a lot of mosquitoes, this would not be a problem but the fan is not above the bed. Obviously you would want to switch on the ancient air conditioning system with a door open. There is no window, otherwise there was no natural light in the room. There is a shared terrace, and unlucky for me,there were self-absorbed couple sharing it who were self absorbed and unfriendly, making an uncomfortable experience of sitting out there. When I arrived I noticed there was no kettle so I asked the manager if she would provide one. She said she would but did not. The rooms upstairs have private balconies and are described as "one bedroom house" I would recommend staying in these, although they are definitely not one bedroom houses they are just rooms with the balcony. Which actually would be better described as the deluxe room with balcony as the rooms downstairs are poor by most traveling standards. The booking price was the same for a couple yet when they realized I was only one guest they wouldn't talk to the room ahead of me and removed the second town leaving me with only one very small old towel, which was not enough and reflection of greed. The cost of the room was 360 dong. Breakfast not included.

The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. We were welcomed by the family who were very accommodating. This is one of the best accommodations we have stayed in in Vietnam.

Possibly some shampoo in the bathroom

Breakfast was really tasty with nice :) All family were really kind

This is a lovely home stay and the family is very friendly but don't have much english. The room is on an upper floor and the view is wonderful so nice to wake up to this every morning. It is away from the old city on the island so it is quite peaceful at night. You can walk to the old city about 15 minutes . They organised transport from the train station in Danang when we arrived and also to our hotel in Danang on our last morning.

everything

nothing

The host are very friendly and cute. The location opposite with the Thu Bon river. The big balcony and very nice view to the Thu Bon river.

The facilities a bit old and not morden enough in some cases.

Super clean for travelers visiting HoI An. I rented a scooter so it was easily accesible, but without a bike it's a bit far from everything.

Lovely air cond room with a great view from the balcony. The owners were exceptionally kind and the breakfast was lovely as well. They helped us book a cooking class and sorted our onward transport out!

It was out of the way but the bikes made it really easy to get around!

everything was perfect

Wonderful family, clean room, good view, great price

the owner and staff is very welcoming and helpfull. they provided a bycycle for free, which is very nice to go around the city. will come again for sure.

Friendly accommodating owners going the extra mile to help. Beautiful morning view over the river.

Distance from old town. Taxis were reluctant to go there. 15 to 20 min walk from old town.

very nice room with a beautiful view from the balcony. Room is clean and the bed was super comfortable. Staff is kind and do their best for you.

Bathroom was very wet after showering.

Excellent place, comfortable, and with great views of the Thu Bon River. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay here! The family is incredibly nice and always helpful, they offered us free bicycles for the whole stay so we could reach the Old Quarter and restaurants and shops in a few minutes. We had a big balcony with incredible views to the river, especially during sunrise/sunset. It’s a very peaceful place and they cooked us delicious breakfast every morning. It’s a great place for couples. So lovely we will definitely come back again next time :)

Lovely family, perfect place, very clean and big room. we used scooter to move around, perfect experience, enjoyed the terrace to do yoga on morning with the river view, thank you 😎👌
