I would give Villa Ensoleille 20 points if I could. It was hands-down the best place I've stayed in my 30+ years in Japan. I stayed for a week, and wished I could have stayed longer. The host, his wife and his mother were so kind, I wanted to adopt them. They went way out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and wanted. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and the bath with the jacuzzi was heaven. The view of Mount Fuji was beautiful. It was quiet. Even when five people were staying in the adjacent unit, I never heard a sound. The cleanliness was beyond description. There are wall outlets everywhere and the Wifi is strong. I'm already wondering when I can go back.

お借りした宿が富士山が見えない場所だったのでちょっと残念でした．

いいところがたくさんありました。 設備が整っており、食器や調理用具等特に持ち込むものがなく、荷物が少なくすみ良かったです。 また、BBQの火おこしや火やコンロの片付けを全て、スタッフの方がやってくださったのは、とても助かりました。 室内は清潔で広くてよかったです。 スタッフの方がとても感じが良く、チェックインする前に冷房を入れてお部屋を冷やしてくださっていて、気配りがとても嬉しかったです。 今回初めて利用しましたが、河口湖方面に行くときはまた泊まりたいです。素敵な思い出ができました。ありがとうございました。

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. The property was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location was also convenient, with easy access and ample parking. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we would happily stay here again.

スタッフの方が親切で、事前に床暖房を入れてくれたり、チェックアウトの後写真を撮ってくれたりしました。また、設備も申し分なく、お皿やカトラリー、コップもきれいですし、オーブントースターや電子レンジも使えるので、夜と朝の分は近くのスーパーで買ったものを温めて食べました。 アメニティもホテルに普通にあるものは、すべてありました。

バルコニーから富士山が見えるかなと思っていたのですが、見えない方の建物でした。でも、外に出てすぐに大きい富士山がどーんと見えます。

入住過程非常方便，突然有空出可以看富士山的房間，服務員亦主動在訊息以及現場告知我們可以使用增值服務，客戶服務員的態度非常親切友善熱情。 我租嘅呢一間喺樓上有兩間房，一間房有三張單人床，另一間房有兩張雙人床，兩間房可以獨立，亦都可以打開趟門變成一間大房！樓上樓下都有提供洗手間，呢一點亦都係令我覺得呢一間住宿比起其他住宿更加好嘅地方，去洗手間唔需要上落樓梯，就算多人入住，亦都唔使怕爭廁所！ 佢哋都有提供少量嘅單車出租，有唔同嘅收費例如1小時、數小時、或整天，亦有電動輔助或者傳統單車可以選擇！唔需要特登去到附近電單車舖先可以租到單車，我覺得好方便想喺當區深度遊嘅遊客或者冇揸車自駕遊嘅遊客！ 我在晚上10:40提出協助請求後，客戶服務員在10分鐘內已經回覆以及幫我解決問題，我住在G棟，期間有一些電子設備的小問題，客戶服務員亦馬上過來幫我查看，在服務泰度以及處理問題的速度方面我覺得可以媲美五星級的酒店或者更甚👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 本次十天的旅程中，住了四間住宿，這一間是我感到最滿意最滿意的一間。 他們亦有提供燒烤爐讓我在露台的私人空間燒烤，收費非常便宜，只需要3000円，服務已經包括燒烤的碗筷子碟、燒烤爐及炭、亦可以選擇用網燒或鐵板燒，亦有專人幫我預備備好燒烤爐及起火，使用後有專人來收走燒烤爐以及作一切清潔！ 廚房設施亦非常充足以及清潔，雪櫃亦都很乾淨沒有異味，製冷功能亦都非常足夠，雪櫃儲存空間亦都很足夠，非常滿意這次住宿旅程體驗，亦都10分希望能夠再次入住！ 浴室泡湯的浴缸空間很大，能夠兩個人輕鬆在浴缸內泡湯，浴室亦能夠看見富士山！性價比高於傳統溫泉旅館或其他能夠看見富士山的酒店式溫泉旅館。 如果第時有機會嚟呢度嘅話，我覺得我都一定會再租返呢一間！ 我哋離開當日，旅館嘅服務員一位老太太同埋一位老爸爸佢哋都好熱情去嘗試用英文教我哋行邊邊會快啲到達我哋去嘅地方，完全感受到佢哋嘅熱情同埋歡迎嘅感覺！

唯一令我覺得可惜嘅地方就係喺我入住期間因為天氣問題，只有少部份時間能夠睇到富士山，但係當天氣好嘅時候，可以咁近距離睇到富士山一邊浸浴好感動！

なんといっても景色が最高です。一軒家になっているので周りの音もそこまで気にならず、掃除も行き届いていてとても綺麗でした。駐車場や受付もわかりやすく、スタッフの方々もとても丁寧に対応してくださりました。

Location is great - on the north side of Lake Kawaguchiko, which is quieter and more rustic. The host is excellent - Hiroyuki-san took the trouble to give us recommendations for food & attractions in the neighbourhood, and also showed us how to operate items around the house. Laundry facilities are in the reception building - both washing machine and dryer are available. Parking is plentiful. Loved the view of Mt Fuji from the main bedroom and bathroom!

Would have been nice to have more shelves or hanging space for clothes in the bedrooms, but that's just a small matter. Everything else was great!

Fantastic villa and the most helpful and polite host. We will be back

The location was excellent, with ample parking available for guests arriving by car. The staff were truly exceptional as it appears to be family-run, the hotel offers a warm and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. On our final day, they kindly waited outside to personally thank us and see us off, which left a lasting impression. They even took a beautiful family photograph for us with Mount Fuji as the backdrop. My aunt was absolutely delighted, and we were thoroughly satisfied with the level of service provided. It comes as no surprise that the hotel received the “Best Hotel of 2025” award. We will most certainly return on our next visit to Yamanashi.

We did notice some minor noises and slight vibrations coming from the roof, which felt a bit unusual at times. Additionally, we hope to experience one of the larger villas on our next visit, as having multiple beds in a single room was somewhat challenging for our group. That said, these were only small concerns. Overall, our stay at the villa was truly enjoyable, and we had a wonderful experience.

The location is beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views of Mt. Fuji! Hiro is the kindest property manager and was so helpful with the train pickup, grocery store stop and very thorough walkthrough of the property. Can’t recommend this place enough and only wish I could have stayed longer!

A friendly host welcomed us and showed us around our beautiful villa overlooking Mount Fuji. It had all the amenities we needed, plus a bubble bed. Highly recommended.

There was only one large room with four beds, but we prepared for that. Everyone brought their own earbuds.

Our family of five loved staying at this villa. The view of Mt. Fuji was spectacular from upstairs! The space was very comfortable for our family and we enjoyed cooking breakfast every morning and dinner one evening. The location was great, an easy drive to many fun activities. Everything was perfect and we plan on coming back again!

Walking distance from Kawaguchiko lake and Momiji Corridor. The staff makes it even better so caring to details, gave great recommendations for food and activities. We were even able to walk to the Haha-no-Shirataki Waterfall, by the way highly recommend visiting ほっとcafeり楽S (hot cafe relax) a family owned cafe that serves delicious food and cafe with a terrace that provides a beautiful view of mt. Fuji

We had an amazing stay at Villa Ensoleille. From the moment we arrived, the service truly felt 5-star. The pickup and drop-off service made everything so easy, and the grocery run upon pickup was such a thoughtful touch. Our host, Hiro, was incredibly kind, accommodating, and genuinely personable — something you rarely find even in top hotels. The villa itself is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the area (the jacuzzi was such a treat). Everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend Villa Ensoleille to anyone visiting the region.

Outdated decor, lumpy pillows, was a little unclear when booking that our room didn't have direct view of Mt Fuji (but lake is 5 mins walk away!)

Loved everything! The manager Hiro-san and other staff on site including our driver, were the best. Everyone went above and beyond for the guests. The complimentary pick-up/drop-off to and from Kawaguchiko station was so appreciated. The cycle hire was the highlight of our last morning there.

Can’t fault anything. I look forward to rebooking again one day.

The location was superb. All parks can be reached by bike within 20 minutes. The owner is very friendly. Electric bikes are available for rent, which are very convenient for riding around the area. I really enjoyed staying at this villa. Although the weather wasn't great and we didn't get to see Mount Fuji, we had a great time riding around the city on electric bikes that we rented from the owner. They also gave us warm jackets because it was very cold outside. There was one mishap during the trip: I forgot my money in the city and left for Osaka. The owner was very helpful, always available, and sent the money to my hotel.

We had a great time.

We stayed at this hotel by a friend recommendation. As someone who has visited Japan thrice, it has been one of the most fun experiences so far. Hiro-san is highly trusted. He cares tons about the clients. After an amazing day at FujiQ, he went for us to the station in Fujikawaguchiko and then gave us a ride to the hotel (which is a big house in a villa) I HIGHLY recommend renting the electric bikes (these are not motorcycles but assisted bikes), and then have a ride to the town and get some gelato and know the town. This hotel can easily keep more than 4 people if they are willing to sleep in futons downstairs. The bathroom is amazing. The kitchen even has a rice maker machine (it uses AI, lol). If that's not enough, you can also rent a grill or barbecue! Hiro-san = greatest of all time One of the best experiences in this third, 25-day trip

特に無しです。 強いて言うなら、2階にもテレビがあればもっと快適になると思います。

建物が改装されておりきれいでした。 ちょっと古さは感じるところもありましたが、改装されていたためか古さはあまり感じるところはありませんでした。 バーベキュースペース今回はできませんでしたが、次回は楽しみたいと思います。

テレビのYouTubeなどが外国人向けに作られていたのか、全部英語になっていて、日本語にできずよくわからなかったことです。

Prachtig huisje, op een paar minuutjes wandelen van het meer. En ‘s morgens wakker worden met het zicht op Fuji is geweldig! Het is zeer proper, voorzien van alle comfort. We huurden fietsen voor 4 uur en konden zo rond 2 meren fietsen. ‘s Avonds bbq op het terras. Personeel uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Heerlijk bubbelbad, goede elektrische fietsen te huur, fijne gastheer met goede eet tips.

Management staff lead by Miyashita-san was super friendly and made us felt welcomed. The cabin is great for a family stay or a large group. When the weather is clear you get great views of Mount Fuji. This was our second stay!

The host was polite and thoughtful, always making sure we were comfortable. They were kind and welcoming throughout our stay. The place was quiet and peaceful — we had a very restful time. Would definitely recommend!

位置好，附近有農田，環境寧靜，如果天氣好，樓上陽台和樓下餐廳可以看到富士山，房間十分整潔，比相片顯示的更好，有齊各樣所需物品，屋主熱心幫助解決問題，有一天早上下着雨，屋主主動幫忙接戴我們到附近境點，期待下次再來！

Fantastic. This hotel is one of my favourite places to stay. The place is clean and spacious, the manager is super friendly and respectful and the view of Mt Fuji is perfect. I highly recommend everyone stays here for a peaceful and enjoyable holiday.

Emplacement incroyable avec la vue sur le Mont Fuji, le calme autour car endroit un peu reculé de la ville. Propriétaire extrêmement gentil et arrangeant. Il est venu nous chercher à la gare à l’aller puis nous a redeposer au retour. Expérience géniale et la vue magnifique. + location de vélo sur place, super pratique pour être autonome et faire le tour du lac :)

連泊するのに少しだけ使い勝手が悪かったのは三角コーナーがなく生ごみ処理をしにくいこと、ベッドサイドテーブルがなく、読書しながら寝るときに本を床に置かなくてはいかないこと 押し入れじゃなくて高さのあるクローゼットだと洋服が片付けやすいかな

The villa was very large when comparing with a Tokyo hotel and was beautiful with full panoramic views of Mt Fuji. With full cooking facilities, it was a home from home. The manager Hiroyuki and I believe his parents who run the Villa were so nice and helpful with any questions we had. The complimentary transport from Kawaguchiko station was easy to arrange with Hiroyuki before arrival using the messaging service provided through the Booking.com app. As other reviewers had mentioned the driver will also offer to take you to a large supermarket to stock up if you plan to cook during your stay, we did visit the supermarket and we are glad we did. We had a great BBQ in the villa's outside seating area the first night. The BBQ is provided for a small charge by the villa, they get it all going for you, you just have to cook and enjoy! There is FamilyMart (like a 7 eleven) about 15 mins walk away if you forget anything. The villa also has electric and standard bikes for hire. There are a lot of attractions in walking distance from the villa and a regular bus service if you want to venture further.

To be honest I can't think.of any thing. I would have happily stayed much longer.

I drive and come at 11:00pm late night to the hotel which already not the serving hours in the front desk, however, the staff here still keep waiting for me as I contact with him before by email. He is so nice and polite to introduce every part of the house to me, this make me understand what to be aware and how to use the bath tub. The house here one night is nearly not expensive compare to the hotel or houses around, but the service and view from the window is excellent. The most important thing is the house is very clean, even I move the bed around, the place under the bed and the corner has no dust or rubbish which make me live comfortably and amazed by this. The house can live up to 8 people. I and my family are in four this time. There are 2 floors in this house. Children are happy. The sri here is good and the environment around is quiet. It is spacious and I will definitely come back with more relatives and recommend this place to my friends next time.
