Quirky and unique. Rooms were large in comparison to other accommodation in Japan. Nice lounge area where Yoshi our host sang traditional Japanese songs every evening at 10 pm

A bit far out of town. Too far to walk and no shuttle service, but quick and relatively cheap taxi ride to get into town. Rooms were a dated and tired but clean and well appointed.

The owner was the best guest ever. Also the sauna and onsen and the views of Mount Fuji

2泊3日で泊まらせていただきました！ オーナーさんのお出迎えがとてもよく、気さくに話すことができました！ 周辺の道案内もとてもわかりやすく、ミュージックバーではオーナーさんのギター生演奏と歌を聴くことができ、とても充実した時間を過ごすことができました！ 最終日の朝食では、自家製の野菜やパンなどとても美味しかったです！ ぜひまた利用したいと思います！

The owner, Yoshi, was very helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the onsen and sauna, the jacuzzi looked good but we didn't get a chance to use it. Breakfast was really good! Lots of home grown produce used, bread rolls to die for and filled us up for the day ahead. We had a view of Mount Fuji from our window which was amazing. Location is good if you have a car.

I would recommend hiring a car if staying here, it's worth it anyway to get around the mountain.

Romantic vintage hotel with warm host and excellent home cooked food

L’hôtel est très bien situé, nous avons profité de la vue imprenable sur le Mont Fuji depuis notre chambre. L’hôte est une personne d’une rare gentillesse !! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le petit concert donné le soir, un moment inoubliable et très convivial qui en vaut la peine ! Le jacuzzi offre un moment de détente très appréciable également. Nous recommandons vivement de passer un séjour dans l’hôtel de Yoshi ☺️

Yoshi, the host, was very kind and helpful. The amenities such as the hot tub and private onsens were a pleasure to use and experience.

富士山観光がメインだったので富士山を見れる部屋を選び大正解。よく見れました！！ お風呂は貸し切りのようなシステムで家族だけで安心して入浴できました。そしてなんといっても優しい優しい手作り満載の朝食。あったかい焼きたてパンや採れたて野菜のサラダなどなど。スタッフの方のおもてなしの気持ちが伝わるお食事でした。 大満足です。お土産つきも嬉しかったです♪

We really felt like this place was a hidden gem, it’s tucked away from the main streets but is only a 10 minute walk to the bus stop or has bikes available to hire at a nearby hotel. The owner was such a lovely man, very welcoming and you can tell he has a genuine care for his guests! The musical evenings are well worth staying up for, he is an incredible singer and I would definitely recommend trying the homemade sake.

It wasn’t a dislike, but the property is in a semi-rural area of Kawaguchiko. We liked this as you were off the beaten path and within tranquility, but some people may want to be closer to the town. We found you can walk to the nearest restaurant and 7eleven in 15 minutes so didn’t mind

De persoonlijke ontvangst van de gastheer, aandacht tijdens het verblijf, muziek avond. We reisden al 2 weken door Japan voordat we hier kwamen. Erg gastvrije ontvangst. Dat persoonlijke contact was heel leuk. Het heeft wel meer de ambiance van een pension dan van een hotel, maar dat is ook de charme van deze accommodatie.

Wat weinig water druk in de kamer. Maar in de kamer naast ons wat het prima.

Matraces are very uncomfortable and very worn out. Seems like they are there since this place opened.. They are in need of a replacement. Both our backs hurt every morning...kind of a dealbraker.. No idea why not more people mwntion it in their reviews..

Super aardige mensen, echt een familie bedrijf. Ontbijt met verse dingen uit de tuin is erg lekker. De ligging is ook top met uitzicht op de Fuji.

Hotel owner was the most humble person we have met in Japan. High honorable values and treats you with the upmost respect. The food, location, and vibes make the stay truly feel like a traditional Japanese home. The Onsen relaxes after walking all morning getting to see all around Mt Fuji.

Be to, skanus jo naminis slyvų vynas bei sake. Kalbant apie pusryčius, buvo skanu bei patiekiama kaip tikrame restorane – buvome nustebinti. Didžiulis privalumas yra ir galimybė privačiai pasinaudoti karštosiomis versmėmis bei jacuzzi. Kalbant apie pačią vietą, ji šiek tiek yra toliau nuo miesto centro, bet čia yra jos grožis. Netoli viešbučio yra kelios vietos, kur nuomoja dviračius. Tad keblumų pamatyti lankytinas vietas nebuvo. Arba galima tiesiog išsikviesti taksi. Ši vieta mus tikrai daug kartų nustebino. Svajojame čia sugrįžti.

L’accueil était parfait, les équipements, les explications, les lits confortables… la vue sur le mont Fuji, l’emplacement en voiture est juste parfait ! dommage que nous n’ayons pas assisté au concert cette fois ci mais nous y avons déjà assister et c’est vraiment très sympa ainsi que les cocktails.

急な宿泊にも関わらず、ご主人の対応が丁寧で先回りでいろいろ説明をしてくれた。

・ご自身で夜のライブなどをされており、フロントが無人で対応いただけないタイミングがあり、客が戸惑ってしまうので貼り紙などあるとよい。 ・共有冷蔵庫では自分の食品に名前を書くスタイルだが薄いボールペンしか無く書けないので油性ペンを置いていただけると助かる。

The staff were amazing and so friendly, and the jacuzzi sun room was unexpectedly lovely. The private onsen was also great. The beds were super comfortable. Little touches like getting some home grown veg for breakfast was lovely too.

The accommodation was beautiful, and from our room we could admire Mount Fuji. Everything was clean, tidy, and well organized. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and available whenever needed. There is also a hot tub and a sauna, which made the stay even more enjoyable. In the evening, you can relax at the bar and listen to some live music. I highly recommend it.

The accommodation was nice and comfortable. The only drawback is that it can be a bit difficult to reach without a car or taxi. Getting there by public transportation is somewhat challenging.

Home away from home’ the host was brilliant

I don't remember that I ever had such a warm welcoming at an accomodation in my whole life. The owner, Yoshi, was just amazing. He appeared when I arrived to help me with the luggage, played the guitar and sang Japanese songs in the music bar - giving 100% for just 3 guests that night, prepared wonderful breakfast with his wife using self-grown vegetables from their garden, and perfectly arranged my luggage transfer to Tokyo. The location was also very nice (room with Fuji-view) and not far away from the lake. It was an unforgettable stay at the end of my journey through Japan. Keep it up, Yoshi !

We were very happy to stay here. The place is located away from the main tourist areas, which allows for a more local and homely atmosphere. The building is old, but very clean and well-organized. The host was extremely kind and cheerful and helped us with everything we needed.

Everything was amazing. The place was very cozy and the staff was incredibly kind. Everything was very clean, and we were astounded at the number of services that were offered, including the private jacuzzi, onsen, and the nightly musical show with homemade drinks. I would highly recommend to anyone coming to the Mount Fuji area.

It was a little far from a lot of the attractions and taxi services are sparse. However, if you don't mind a 15 minute walk, you can get to the areas that are more touristy.

Quirky spot with everything you’d need. Plus the owner is so very welcoming and accommodating which was a real plus.

La vista al monte fuji es maravillosa. Joshi es muy amable en su atención y las noches de música en vivo con Joshi tocando la guitarra son entretenidas. A pesar de que el hospedaje queda algo alejado de tiendas de conveniencia, restaurantes y comercio en general; la tranquilidad, la atención, el jacuzzi, el onsen y la vista al monte fuji que se tienen en el hospedaje de Joshi valen la pena.

Great accommodation! Nice host (but strict rules) and good to reach with the red sight-seeing bus line and with a little walking. We took a taxi there first with our luggage which was also okay and cost around 2.100 Yen. The hot bathtub is heaven! There are so many things to discover, we couldn't try them all. Our room didnt have the Fuji-view, but was still very nice and we could sleep with the windows open, there was not a single sound and we woke up to birds singing. We also loved the Yukata-style bathrobes.

The breakfast was nice, but if would wish for the portions to be a little bigger. We could have gotten more bread, but it is too light and sweet, that was not really my taste. It is a western style breakfast, but for this nice accommodation, we would have been even happier with a Japanese style breakfast. It is a little tricky to find dinner around there and the next konbini is a longer walk away, so come prepared! The house slippers were a little uncomfortable.

El propietario es una fantástica persona, muy atento y amable. Las instalaciones con onsen y spa, buenas vistas al Fuji desde el comedor y una zona muy tranquila donde relajarse y desconectar de los problemas. Un alojamiento increible.

Joshie var en enastående värd, han gjorde vistelsen speciell och genuin. Han, tillsammans med sin familj, tillagade frukosten på morgonen där allt var hemlagat och mycket taget från deras egen trädgård. En timme på kvällen spelar han musik för gästerna och till frukosten satte han igång ett självspelande piano, mycket trevligt! Vyn från rummen mot Mount Fuji är oslagbar! Det ligger dock en bit från stationen och har en äldre standard men Joshie och hans familj gjorde detta helt klart till det mest genuina hotellet vi bott på. Helt klart värt ett besök.

Jacuzzin och onsenbaden kan behöva en uppgradering/renovering.

점원 분이 굉장히 친절하시고 설명도 잘 해주셔서 좋았습니다. 부가 시설 이용도 편리하고 시설도 좋아서 대만족했습니다. 날씨까지 좋아서 후지산도 보이고 밤에 별도 볼 수 있었다면 환상적이라고 해도 좋을 것 같습니다. 특히나 바깥쪽에 위치한 코타츠방이 제 여행에 낭만치를 충분히 충족시켜 주었습니다.

올라올 때의 경사가 조금 높고 미리 듣긴 했지만 역시 편의점과의 거리가 꽤나 있습니다. 공용 냉장고가 있긴 하지만 여러명이 사용하니 조금 작은 느낌이 들었습니다.

The view for Fuji was amazing, the owner did his best to make us feel comfortable, I liked the bath and sauna room, smell of cosmetics was amazing, the tea was great. The room was very spacious, and the music evening was very nice as well

The hotel requires some renovation works. The location is quite distant and the last bus departures from Kawaguchiko around 7pm so keep it in mind, although there are also taxis available. But there are nice restaurants in 15 min walk distance. The music (bells sound) everywhere in shared space was too creepy for me, and gave me a horror movie vibe, but it can be only me and for others it can be relaxing.

The property is absolutely beautiful, feels like you are staying in a Japanese house! I also loved the sound of the birds in the morning. Yoshi-san was an excellent host, we felt at home. He even prepared us Yaki Imo for us to eat on the train the day we checked out.

It was great, just be mindful that is not close and has stairs. Other than that it was perfect

Tout ! Le jacuzzi, le sauna, le Onsen, les concerts de Yoshi le soir en buvant des petits cocktails japonais, et l’ambiance globale ou l’on se sent comme à la maison !

Le seul point négatif peut être l’emplacement. Nous avons loué une voiture pour ce séjour mais je pense que sans voiture cela peut être compliqué notamment pour les restaurants qui ferments assez tôt (19h30) et ne sont pas très proches !

In wenigen Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß die n Kawaguchiko See mit einem unglaublichen Blick auf den Mount Fuji. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Fuji Blick gebucht und wurden mit einer herrlichen Aussicht auf den Berg belohnt! Das Crescendo ist familiär geführt und Yoshi ist ein großartiger Gastgebet. Wir waren für 2 Übernachtungen da. Das Frühstück war hausgemacht und lecker! Wir haben den Whirlpool, das Thermalbecken und die Sauna genutzt und waren sehr zufrieden. Weil wir uns nach dem Frühstück beeilen mussten den Bus zu erreichen hat Yoshi uns noch warme Süsskartoffeln für die Fahrt eingepackt. So lieb!Fujikawaguchiko ist nicht schön und zu laut- im crescendo haben wir genau das gefunden was wir gesucht haben, Ruhe, Erholung und eine herrliche Lage!

Nous avons passé un incroyable séjour. L’accueil de Yoshi pour commencer qui était d’une rare gentillesse, la vue sur le mont Fuji ainsi que le Onsen et les fauteuils de massage ont rendu ce séjour merveilleux. En partant Yoshi nous a offert une collation à emporter pour le voyage. Merci encore :)

Eine wunderschöne, ruhige und topgelegene Unterkunft mit direktem Blick auf den Mount Fuji. 🗻 Der Gastgeber Yoshi ist einfach nur wundervoll, super freundlich. Unbedingt mit Frühstück buchen, super authentisch und voll lecker. Man kann wunderschön zum See und um den See spazieren. Es ist super ruhig und einfach nur top zum entspannen, unter anderem natürlich auch in den Onsen oder im Whirlpool

We loved our stay at Crescendo. It was a beautiful peaceful surrounding with a perfect Mt. Fuji view from our room. We enjoyed the hot spring and breakfast. The host was such a friendly man who warmly welcomed us and made the stay very good for us.

Yoshi and his family have hospitality down to a fine art. They were amazing, made us feel so comfortable and at home. The amenities were brilliant, jacuzzi with a view of mt Fuji, private onsens and a wonderful view of mt Fuji from our room. The beds were also very comfortable. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

It was a little further out of the main hub but it did mean you had great views of Fuji.

Yoshi was so friendly and welcoming. I had too much fun listening to his music and drinking his homemade fruit spirits. The room was so comfy and cosy and the 3 private onsens were perfect. Also, breakfast was amazing. Thank you!!!!!

The host is really polite and welcoming. The location is good (it is not near the center, but the bus stop is nearby and it is on walking distance from oishi park).

We loved everything, it broke our hearts so much you can't imagine. The owner of the hotel is the most wonderful person in the world. The musical evening will remain etched in my memory forever; I watch the videos over and over again and cry with happiness and delight. Our view from our room was of Mount Fuji, the visibility was perfect. The onsen, sauna, and jacuzzi were also perfect.

We had a fabulous view of Mt. Fuji from our room on the 1st floor. Yoshi and his wife were excellent hosts. The breakfast was delicious! The home-made pillowy soft bread and soup were my favourite. The onsen had an option to lock the door so you could have a private onsen. There was a jacuzzi too but sadly, we didn't have enough time to enjoy it. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

The shower drain needs an upgrade as the water drained very slowly. Not too much of a bother, but an upgrade would be nice.

Yoshi was the ultimate host! He was so welcoming, happy, and helpful. The guesthouse is comfortable and well located on lake Kawaguchiko. We wondered if it was going to be off the beaten track, but it was well positioned to bus stops within a short walk, and we were glad we stayed here rather than the main town. Music hour and breakfast were definitely a highlight, as well as the onsen! Thank you Yoshi and family :)

We found the Crescendo Hotel charming and thought the host Yoshi was a most wonderful warm, friendly and helpful person. It's such a lovely family-run hotel and Yoshi takes great pride in the great establishment he has created here. We really enjoyed the evening time in the bar where Yoshi played his guitar and sang Japanese (and other) songs. During this time we had such a nice time talking to other guests and connecting with them - it was all a very memorable stay.

The room was amazing and the biggest one we had during our Japan stay. The view was also breathtaking and we were lucky enough to get two perfectly clear days of Mt Fuji views and sunsets! The hot spring and jacuzzi were amazing amenities and the breakfast was top tier. Made with ingredients from Yoshi's garden and was the best breakfast we had by far. The host and staff were so generous and accommodating. Yoshi was kind enough to call us a taxi when we forgot to reserve one or else we would have missed our bus. You will not regret staying here, and we can't wait to go back! 11/10

Это просто невероятные аппартаменты в Фудзикавагутико! Хозяин, японец Йоши, очень вежливый и внимательный хозяин, буквально за всем приглядывает, а вечером устраивает музыкальные вечера. Завтраки просто восхитительные, их кстати, готовит его жена, используя фермерские продукты из огорода. Просто невероятно! Cам номер просторный, со всем необходимым. Все очень удобно, недалеко от автобусной остановки, с возвышенности видна Фудзи. Пешком минут за 7 можно дойти до набережной, а также возможно взять велосипеды в прокатах и доехать до города за 15 минут. В стоимость входят просто шикарные Онсэн и Джакузи, вы можете ими воспользоваться в свободное время. Также внизу стоит кофемашина, которой можно пользоваться в любое время. Я бы хотела приехать сюда еще раз!!! Желательно на недельку)

Sehr herzlicher Gastgeber, der einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Gerade in einem anderen Land mit komplett anderer Kultur kann man sich schnell verloren fühlen. Hier fühlt man sich einfach nur willkommen. Vielen Dank nochmal, Yoshi!

The insane acre about every detail and the feeling of being at home

Crescendo was our absolute favourite stay throughout our whole time in Japan. The property and our rooms were absolutely spotless and had all of the amenities we needed. There’s a jacuzzi which looks onto Fuji, two Onsens one with a Sauna, a communal dining room also with a view of Fuji.

Nothing - there is nothing that could be improved. Yoshi has done an amazing job and is a fantastic host.

It was a bit like stepping back in time, but all was fine. The hosts were kind, and the breakfast was nice.

It was dated, but like I said, fine. We weren't told we had to order breakfast the night before. No big deal, but if you want breakfast, remember to do this. If you need to use a taxi, etc, the local tourist bus from the station stops not so far from the B N B. Stop 17. If coming from the station it took ages to wait for a taxi so I'd say catch the bus.
