All the rooms are facing the ocean. A wonderful breakfast spread. We really enjoy the food. The stuffs are exceptionally helpful.

Extremely poor noise isolation - we could hear the neighbours talk (and do other things) very clearly. Blinds didn't fully close, which is not great with most rooms facing south east. Mildly incompetent / unfriendly staff at the restaurant (breakfast).

I enjoyed the location, the staff attentiveness, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the rooftop bar, and the conveniences offered. I usually don't stay in hotels this nice but when I do, they seldom provide the amount of attention to details like the Octant does.

Our experience here was delightful with the exception of one small complaint. When arriving tired and bit frazzled I was told the nearest good restaurant was 15 min away. Later, I found an excellent one across the street. Their parking is very small and tight. They do offer valet.

Great hotel in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Within walking distance to the marina, restaurants, town center, and all the sights. Great location to easily explore the south side of the island. Stayed as a family of four with two adjoining rooms. One was a corner room on a high floor with floor to ceiling windows. The absolute best view of the entire town! Rooms are spacious, updated, and clean. Each room had a small but useable outdoor balcony. Service was great, very welcoming upon check in with hand towel and espresso! Valet parking is super convenient. Complimentary breakfast buffet is delicious and includes quite a bit of options. Fitness center is small but serviceable. Rooftop lounge is very cool. Pool is on rooftop and has cool sights but is a little small and cramped. An overall large hotel that is lively but in a good way, not too noisy. A bit pricey but decent value considering what you get. Great hotel but if you’re looking for a quaint, boutique feel, this is not it. Know what you are getting.

Really a great property, the customer service was outstanding, there was a little issue the first morning at check in but they more then made up for it, great Amex FHR hotel, Luis at the front was particularly helpful.

We had a fantastic stay and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, the breakfast was excellent, and every detail contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable visit. The Azores are absolutely breathtaking. The island's lush landscapes, volcanic lakes, dramatic coastlines, and charming towns make it a truly unique destination. We loved exploring the natural beauty, trying the local cuisine, and experiencing the warm hospitality of the people. Hôtel très bien placé, chambre assez spacieuse et propre. Équipes vraiment très sympathique, très bien placé avec une jolie vue sur le port. Très bon buffet PDJ (Ruben et Didier) Très bon restaurant avec une bonne sélection de viandes maturés merci à Paolo pour nous avoir trouvé une table. Bar très sympa avec un bon choix de Cocktails Classiques merci à Mariana qui était vraiment au Top, très sympathique avec chaque clients. Super service voiturier (Gilberto Miguel Luis). Salle de bain très sombre. Chambre assez basique, ameublement trop simple. Décoration n’est pas super, très simpliste. Literie pas terrible, oreillers beaucoup trop soft. Le turn Down n’était pas effectué chaque soir…

Cueca Zion, fantástica, con unas vistas muy bonitas al puerto. Hotel con todas las comodidades propias de su categoría. Merece la pena pagar por el aparcamiento, ya que el coche te lo llevan a la puerta cada vez que necesitas. El desayuno maravilloso, la terraza de arriba muy bonita, con unas vistas espectaculares al mar. La habitación es amplia y silenciosa, la cama muy cómoda. Todo está muy limpio, el personal muy atento, siempre te dejan detalles en la habitación y pasan por la tarde para ver si necesitas alguna cosa. Hotel a la altura de las expectativas y de las estrellas que ostenta.

El baño negro dificulta un poco la visión en el espejo. El spa es correcto, aunque bastante pequeñito. Como extra esta bien pero no lo destacaría dentro de lo que ofrece el hotel.

Comida fantástica. Funcionários muito acolhedores. Uma especial atenção ao funcionário Rodrigo, que sempre foi muito caloroso e atencioso. Sem dúvida que terá um futuro risonho na hotelaria.

O quarto que nos foi atribuído tinha duas camas de solteiro e fizemos a reserva para uma cama de casal, mas rapidamente foi resolvido.

The food was the best part.

The property itself felt rather disappointing definitely not a 5 star. If you like cookie cutter corporate feeling hotels than you’ll be happy. If you like firm beds then it’s for you. However, if you want to feel like you’re at a luxury 5 star property this place isn’t for you. The front desk staff seemed to have a chip on their shoulders. I was supposed to stay longer but asked to check out after one night.

Octant Hotel (formerly Azor Hotel) is simply wonderful! An excellent location in the heart of Ponta Delgada. The rooms are beautifully designed, very comfortable, elegant, and fully equipped. The level of pampering is above and beyond, including frequent and complimentary refilling of the minibar. The view of Ponta Delgada’s promenade and marina is breathtaking. The hotel offers both an outdoor and indoor pool, a luxurious spa, and a rooftop with a fantastic view. The breakfast and dinner are extremely rich, indulgent, and generous. Most importantly, the staff is absolutely amazing. They assisted us with everything — planning our trips, making us feel pampered, and taking care of every detail of our stay, both big and small. We would especially like to mention Solange from reception and Rodrigo, together with many others, who devoted a great deal of time, professionalism, and genuine attention to carefully planning our tours around the island, adapting them to the constantly changing weather. The hotel, its facilities, and its staff were among the key reasons why our vacation was such a success and so enjoyable. We very warmly recommend staying at this specific hotel when visiting the Azores, especially as a base for day trips around the island. Worth every euro! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Das Octant Ponta Delgada ist in Sachen Dienstleistungsorientierung und Ausstattung perfekt. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr schöne Zimmer und gute Lage um Ponta Delgada zu erkunden.

Die Hauptstrasse führt vor dem Hotel durch. Dies ist jedoch nicht gravierend, da die Fenster sehr gut isoliert sind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms and service are excellent. We loved the spa. We especially liked the welcome cheese platter and complimentary beverage services. The bed was super comfortable. Everyone goes out of their way to help you.

We were beyond pleased with this hotel. The hospitality is impeccable. The rooftop bar area was relaxing and the service staff at the spa could not be more accommodating (thank you Tiego!). All the hotel staff were invested in a lovely stay for us. I would highly recommend !

We had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights. The hotel is in a very convenient location, easily walkable to restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was outstanding for breakfast and dinner at both the rooftop bar and A Terra restaurant. The views from the rooftop bar and our room were gorgeous. The room was spotless and the bedding was very comfortable. We had a minor issue with our shower drain being clogged, and it was addressed right away. We booked through the Chase Edit program, and that was acknowledged upon check-in, complete with all the perks. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

The suite was a bit odd. The living area felt like a last minute add on, was poorly furnished and didn’t feel integrated with the bedroom, bathroom part.

Quarto muito espaçoso e com uma bela vista. Equipe muito atenciosa e sempre disponível para ajudar. O jantar no restaurante do hotel foi muito bom, com uma excelente cozinha. Localização muito pratica, próxima de muitas empresas de turismo para atividades pela ilha.

Pequeno almoço de nível bom, nada especial. Para um 5 estrelas poderia ser melhor. No primeiro dia faltou reposição de muitos produtos talvez pela alta demanda e falta de efetivo. O pessoal de maneira geral foi muito prestativo e simpático. Nos dias seguintes resolvemos chegar mais cedo para o pequeno-almoço e assim foi melhor.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff of the Octant made sure our stay was memorable! The staff, the Spa, the restaurant and bar, and the views from the rooms are unmatched. Because this is a Fine Hotel & Resort with American Express, we got breakfast included, a room upgrade, guaranteed late check-out out, use of the spa for 1 hour each day, and $100 room credit. We were able to charge most tours to our room as well. We easily walked everywhere in the city to restaurants, parks, and other tourist attractions. One of the best hotels we've stayed at in the world!

This was my second stay at the Octant Hotel and was just as good. Room was light and spacious with good view of the sea harbour and marina. Staff affable and helpful. Xmas Eve dinner was a veritable feast with five courses. Loved the individualistic touches like the beautiful weighty German Taschler (?) tomes in the communal areas. Excellent choice of buffet breakfast. Even though I stayed over Xmas, the room rate was exceptionally good value. Appreciated the personal touches in the room. Only c. ten minutes' walk into the town centre.

From the valet/doorman, to check in, to breakfast, to rooftop bar, to checkout the place was flawless. The room was on the small side but well designed and we slept very well, even in daytime hours. Will definitely return. Bonus—if you have Amex it is in the fine hotels, so all the benefits that go with that.

The price for Christmas dinner was really expensive and for that price I thought a live band would be there, Christmas tree where we are eating. Was expecting it to be more festive and not just dinner. Our room walls were damaged in one spot and could have used some refinishing with paint.
