Claire was a fantastic host with lovely extra touches to make our stay even better. We were there for the Comrades marathon and she left treats in our room to say good luck and had hydration available for the duration of our stay. She even offered an option to order lasagne the night of the race so we didn't have to go out. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet and the accommodation well located.

Everything was perfect.

Everything - honestly never slept so well and Claire and the team continue to be amazing! Second stay and wouldn’t stay anywhere else if coming to the area.

Ein besseres Guesthouse hätten wir nicht haben können. Wir haben hier 6 Nächte verbracht und uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Alles war perfekt. Das Zimmer war gross, sehr sauber, hochwertig und sehr bequem. Alles war in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Das Frühstück-/Aufenthaltsraum ist gross und wie das ganze Haus gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Dazu noch eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Der Pool bietet eine willkommene Abkühlung und die Liegen eine geruhsame Erholung. An der Honesty Bar kann man gekühlte Getränke und feinen Kaffee beziehen Die Besitzerin ist eine sehr sympathische junge Frau und Lydia eine herzliche Haushälterin, die uns jeden Tag mit einem strahlenden Lächeln begrüsste und mit Frühstück kulinarisch verwöhnte. Strand und Shopping sind mit dem Auto rund 5 Minuten entfernt.

Our stay at Lavender Moon was truly exceptional! The rooms were impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable, with luxurious bedding and a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious array of options to start the day. Claire the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The pool and gardens were a perfect place to relax and unwind, and the location was ideal for exploring the nearby attractions.

Centrally situated, close to restaurants and the beach; an interactive owner and friendly staff; in a quiet area, king sized beds that are very comfortable with pillows of different hardness levels (Bonus :-) ) Netflix and other cable TV channels, aircon in the rooms, quick response to a minor topic ( informed the owner at breakfast that the mosquito repellant in the room was finished and it was replenished and operational when I returned early afternoon), breakfast was simple yet tasty and more than enough, coffee is very good.

Good location. Claire and Siya were such amazing hosts. Beautiful place and very comfortable. I liked that the TV had Netflix, so I was able to catchup on some of my favorite shows while taking the much needed rest.

Room size was bit small but space was very neat and clean. Would recommend for a single traveller.

Claire is a very welcoming host and we enjoyed her personal involvement with us as guests. We loved the large living room and breakfast area. The breakfast varied a little each day which was always a nice surprise. We had a great time in Durban!

Amazing property. The room was spacious and bed extremely comfortable. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. Claire is a great host friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was great with high quality ingredients used and made to order. The staff are helpful and friendly . Guests have the use of the ground floor completely as the host lives upstairs .

I told the host I was going to leave at 6.30 in the morning and I was told I was not going to get a hot breakfast because of that. But when I was preparing to leave there was a lady who was having an omelette in the dining area. Found that a bit strange.

The rooms, dining and living room areas are comfortable. The view is great from the dining room. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast Siya cooked for me was very delicious. He is an asset on the property. There is plenty of parking for this size B&B. It’s secure. It’s a short drive to Gateway Mall, the beach and to the airport.

The floors were not cleaned in my room. Other than that everything was perfect.

Claire, the owner is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The guesthouse is well situated with a nice view, and everything is very functional, perfect for corporates.

The place is in a perfect location and I loved its beauty and good service. It was everything I imagined, comfortable bed with spotless linen. One of the best places in Durban 10/10

I give the bathroom 8/10 though it was clean the bathtub had hair inside and I couldn't use it.

Wonderful view towards seaside while eating a lovely breakfast. Calm and relaxing lounge Breakfast, you got scrambled eggs, omelette with some good vegetables, yoghurt with fresh fruits. Toast was also available.
