AC Hotel by Marriott Boston Cambridge

Muy limpio, habitaciones amplias, todo nuevo, personal muy atento. Si vuelvo a Boston, sin duda será el primer lugar que intentaré reservar, siempre que no suban precios. Del hotel al centro de Boston, hay 50 minutos en coche, todo y la poca distancia que hay.

El aire acondicionado de los pasillos de las plantas del hotel, está al nivel de la cota 6000m del Everest🤣🤣🤣. Pero soportable a los que nos gusta el frío 😉😉

The staff that was the front desk didn't know what the hell he was doing double charge me an my mother for our rooms didn't know how to refund my money horrible how you have someone checking you that has no experience never again will be calling corporate

The amenities are great for extended stays. There are self service options: hydration stations, microwaves, laundry room for guests. Cleaning services are every other day or upon request. Alewife station is within walking distance. Staff are very accommodating and nice! Highly recommended for long stays!

Great place friendly staff

The staff was very nice, especially the two people who were at the front desk for the first two nights we were there. The room had just about everything we needed to get by and the A/C worked well during a humid august stay. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Free coffee (that was actually good) in the lobby every day.

Our window was extremely dirty, so much so that it was gross to look out of. The bathroom was nice and clean but the shower water pressure should be a lot better in a newer hotel. There were not enough drawers - we had to put all our things on the long bench below the TV and it looked extremely messy. We requested a set of clean towels but they were never brought up to our room. I could see how this hotel would be great for business travelers but not ideal for a family vacation of more than a night or two.

Good pruce

The room was not very clean, and housekeeping never cleaned our room during our three-night stay despite saying they would. The room faced a busy road, so it was quite noisy, and the air conditioning was not very effective. Overall, the price was good, but the service and room quality could be improved.

Breakfast buffet is overpriced!! $ 21 for a "European" buffet that isn't very diverse or high quality. Parking is paid for 30$. The food at the bar is also overpriced.

Convenient to what we required.

The stay was a comedy of errors. The air conditioning in the room would only work for 5 minutes before it shut off. The room temp during July was 82 degrees although the temp controls were set for 68. No big deal, these things happen. Called engineering to get it fixed….front desk promptly sent up someone who assured it was reset and would be fine. Believing that, we headed out for the night and came home late to a room that was 82 degrees! Toilet would not flush properly and clogged. Finally, the shower controls (which were Grohe fixtures) had two temps…..very hot and scalding. So hot that I had to have a “sponge bath” as to avoid injury. Again, wasn’t addressed during our stay. We have stayed at this hotel several times without issue but we got the full Monty on this trip. Overall, it is not great value for the money….you spend $300-$400 per night based on the season and should expect more. There are other options in the area and will explore those next trip. PS…..the revolving doors to the entrance of the hotel do not work……they didn’t work when we visited the hotel 4 months earlier. Could be an indication of maintenance practices perhaps?

Ten minute walk from Alewife Station makes this a convenient spot for folks who want to explore the city without exorbitant prices. The front desk was very hospitable and our room was Clean and Comfortable. The decorator didn’t like color so be prepared for grey and brown

Nice room and furnishings

Breakfast isn't worth the money. The waitress was very grumpy. No service whatsoever. Only cold food and almost nothing left at 10am even though it closed at 11am on Sunday. It claimed they would have fresh order eggs and bacon. They had none of that.

We are staying here as I type this. It’s 7:00AM on a Sunday morning and I’ve just been awakened twice by the front desk calling our room mistakenly! Bonvoy Platinum status means nothing here. We arrived yesterday, the last night on our vacation. We’d requested two beds and got one. The woman at the desk said “we’re full”. Our room was clean but the pull out had one dirty fitted sheet on it and nothing to make the bed. We called for a room change. The manager helped us get that. The new room pullout had no sheets so we called for those. We were told we could have just one blanket as the hotel was all out. How is this even possible and why would someone say that to a guest? We bought a few things that needed to be refrigerated and came home to find the mini bar doesn’t work. It’s a steady 67. The hotel didn’t have a spare working fridge so at midnight they brought us an ice chest. I could almost cry as the hotel looks nice on the surface but is a hot mess. Breakfast is an extra fee. Parking is an extra fee. What’s the point of chasing Platinum status if the hotel treats everyone the same? I would not choose this hotel again. I’m tired and crabby from fighting with this place for things that should just be present like clean sheets and a working fridge in the room. And waking me up by accident due to sloppy front desk work.

The location is ok, the problem is there is no taxi around, especially in the early morning. So I consulted the receptionist the day before I planned to leave. He confirmed that I can get a taxi in the early morning, but in fact I didn't get any kind of taxi in half an hour, even though the receptionist tried several phones. So I had to hurry up to metro station for the airport with my heavy luggage. It's a disaster!!! I almost failed to catch my flight and got myself totally exhausted.

They can either have several taxi connections that can provide instant support or offer shuttle bus from hotel to the metro station Alewife, at least provide some convenience to clients who leave very early.

Beds were comfortable

Breakfast buffet was overpriced. For the food offered it wasn't worth $21.00 per person. No full menu available for dinner. Had to order delivered food every night. Housekeeping was so-so.

It’s a modern property. Bats are comfortable.

I stay there two days. There was no room service that means no towels to use the next day. The coffee machine was broken. The hotel is not walking distance to anything.

parking is in the different building so we had to drag all our suitcases, nobody at front offered any help. You pay $30 extra for every day parking, have to go to front dest every time to validate parking ticket. Very uncomfortable. Rooms were not clean properly, floor was dirty. The room with 2 beds was so small and had no place to put our clothes at all

The hotel itself was lovely, and the room was modern, spacious, and very nice.

The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan. We thought it was broken, but when we asked about it, we were told that none of the rooms have exhaust fans. The shower itself was nice, but the drain got clogged, and maintenance had to come and fix it. The hotel is in an isolated area, about an 11-minute walk from the nearest station. On the way there, we had to pull our suitcases along a deserted road, which felt a bit unsettling. We took a Lyft back to the station.

The staff was remarkably welcoming to me and my little dog. It was particularly nice to have Alewife Reservation across from the entrance where we enjoyed a beautifully landscaped park full of summer flowers with plenty of places to sit.

In spite of it being close to a busy highway, you did not hear the highway nor did you feel that you were close to it, but it was slow to access during high traffic time.

Front desk staff not very friendly.

I had a very comfortable stay here! The location is fantastic and the entire property was exceptionally clean. A huge thank you to the staff, who were absolutely wonderful and made me feel welcome throughout my visit.

Bathroom Setup, The bathroom lacked a lock on the door, which felt a little inconvenient since the bathroom itself is positioned very close to the main entryway of the room. * Amenities: The in-room coffee maker was having some technical issues during my stay. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay with great service, and I would definitely recommend it—just hopefully with a working coffee machine next time! We didn't have time to call them and fix it, though.

O trânsito na região é pesado, a distância pra região de Harvard é pequena mas o deslocamento não foi tão fácil quanto se vê no mapa. É desanimador se deslocar pra outra região.

L’hôtel est en bord d’autoroute … c’est à dire avec du traffic du 4h du matin jusqu’à 23h ! Je n’ai pas eu la chambre que j’avais réservé, malgré ma réclamation, il ne s’est rien passé et personne ne m’a tenu informé. Personne n’aide pour les bagages.

O hotel é moderno e o quarto é espaçoso, com boas instalações, e fica próximo à estação de Alewife (durante o dia é mais confortável cortar caminho pela reserva, porque o trajeto é mais plano). Todos do staff foram muito educados e prestativos, atendendo as nossas solicitações com muita rapidez. Destaque para o senhor que nos atendia no café da manhã, que foi extremamente gentil, atencioso e profissional.

Estaba en la última estación del metro y había que caminar por el bosque. Se nos hizo peligroso. Si no llevas coche, no es tan cómodo. El restaurante cerraba a las 10 am y ya no había opciones para cena. No se nos hizo nada práctico. 2 días no nos hicieron la limpieza.

Check in was easy

$30 for parking was excessive. Bad rating is largely due to this. However, the shower floor was very slippery. It was hard to figure out how to operate the shower.

Comfortable bed. Very spacious and clean.

Tea station was not fully stocked up. No microwave in room.

The staff were amazing from when we first stepped foot in the hotel, nothing was a hassle to them and they were so friendly and helpful a real credit to the hotel. The room was brilliant just what we required and we had a nice view in the morning to wake up to. The bed was super comfy and the food was delicious

​For the price, the location is fair (10 minutes to the end of the Red Line). Our room on the 2nd floor was clean and spacious for the family, and the staff was friendly. However, we were very disappointed. ​The biggest issue was that our toilet clogged every day. It was gross and unacceptable. On the day we checked out, I even tried to use the public toilet downstairs, and one of the toilets there was clogged too! I informed the receptionist upon checking out, but I haven’t heard anything back. Also, the shower water was quite cold and wouldn't heat up properly. The hotel looks pretty, but the basic necessities were not met.:-(

Good geographic location for my purposes. Room is good size. Nice size shower with low water pressure. Big windows. I like the free coffee and fruit water in the lobby.

"Heated" pool is cold. I was there for a week earlier this year and again lately and both times the supposedly heated pool was freezing. The workout room was freezing one day and stifling hot another day. The pool and workout room were unusable. The floor of my room was weirdly bubbled up. One towel had make up on it and clearly had not been washed--who knows about the others, blech. Found a fellow guest wander the floor with her ice bucket--no ice despite signs for hydration station. It's a weird hotel. Nicely set up but then just doesn't work well. Who is in charge?

Bien situado cerca de la estación de tren de Alewife para ir al centro de Boston o al aeropuerto. La habitación muy cómoda y amplia. El desayuno está bien y el comedor es amplio y agradable. El personal muy amable, correcto y eficiente.

El ruido. La nevera de la habitación hacía ruido. La teníamos que apagar por las noches. También se oía ruido de la calle y de la ventilación del pasillo. Tener que dejar propina para la camarera de piso y en el desayuno. Sería mejor pagar bien a los empleados. El microondas de la planta donde estábamos no funcionaba ningún día y ni lo arreglaron ni lo cambiaron después de decírselo.

Room was fine and clean but some floor boards are bubbled up and this is a pretty new hotel. They charge $30 (per night!) for parking on top of hotel fees, which is ridiculous since there's really no other way you're going to arrive and stay here. Yes, the Alewife T is nearby but who arrives with luggage by the T? You also find out about this fee upon arrival and it's too late. Staff is nice and friendly but I'll stay elsewhere where parking is included next time.

I left pretty disappointed with this stay. The breakfast buffet is $21, but the options were very limited and absolutely not worth the price. It felt overpriced for what you actually get. The hotel also advertises a heated pool, but the pool is tiny and genuinely cold, so it wasn’t usable or relaxing like we expected.

Traveled here with a family member for a room with two queen beds. Upon check-in the front desk informed us they had none of these room types available so they generously gave us two rooms, each with a queen bed. Rooms are spacious and clean. Easy access to the red line. Jim Denton at the front desk was wonderful and very accommodating.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was super helpful and nice. The bed was very comfortable.
