Breakfast amazing we had my husband 70th birthday meal we stayed 2 nights but our family just came up for the meal staff could not do enough Sherry the girl in mornings for breakfast could not do enough also Elaina on the night if the meal very helpful food was fantastic the only thing was we had a room with a bath and shower in the bath the baths are so deep and there were no handles so I did mention this and they are going to look into it then it will be perfect so quiet and the bed was massive free WiFi as well we will be going back

So glad we chose this accommodation.

I find a cooked breakfast is the best way to start the day and one supplied by the Buck was perfect! Liked the private entrance which allowed me to come and go as I liked without having to walk through a reception area. To paraphrase Arnie - At some point I'll be back!

Standby light on the telly was annoying!!

Just a few miles from the Norfolk County Showground which we needed to visit. Plenty of parking. Big, very clean room. Giant bed! Great quiet cool air conditioning. Walk in wet room area. Big TV, sofa and tea/coffee making facilities. Very friendly chatty staff. Great breakfast cooked to order. Just so many plus points!!

Such a small thing, but no fridge for the milk to make tea. But we took a flask and just popped next door to the pub for supplies. UHT was available in the room.

There was a bit of confusion regarding the price of one of the rooms which was discussed amongst the staff and we felt wasn’t communicated effectively with us. Breakfast felt quite rushed on the second morning. One of the garden rooms was overlooked by the pub garden and was quite dart inside. This room was a lot smaller than the family room, yet similar in price.

Not the pubs fault, but very difficult to get to at times with the roadworks on the A47.

We know the Honningham Buck having previously lived nearby, hence we chose it as it was well located for us to visit family. Breakfast was good and freshly prepared. The dinner menu was maybe too a-la-carte for a longer stay like ours, we were at the hotel / pub for a week and really could have done with some simpler menu choices. However overall meals and staff were very good.

Oh dear! Cleanliness let the hotel down. The rooms / bathroom could do with a very deep clean and would benefit from more regular thorough cleaning, e.g. on a daily or guest by guest basis. We remember the rooms being added to the pub and restaurant several years ago and at the time they were very well thought out and well appointed. But now a little more investment is required as the rooms are looking tired, The Buck always had a good reputation as a pub / restaurant but it seems the hotel rooms are now an important part of the business model so perhaps a bit more thought is required about improving the hotel type experience. Restaurant closing times were very early for a hotel and we witnessed a very unhappy business guest checking in later in the day to be told there was no food available. Not what one would want to hear after travelling a distance to arrive at the hotel.

The room was a good size as was the bathroom. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful and friendly.

Was a bit nervous to use air conditioning as the unit was right above the bed. I have had units leak in the night.

Room was clean & well presented. Everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Drinks at the bar were a good price, too. Didn't eat here in the evening, but the food coming out looked great. Plenty of free parking.

Key rings were massive! It's difficult to lose, I guess :)

Room was clean, well proportioned and had decent shower. Air con was installed.

No food available when I arrived, which was a sunset evening. Alos, there was nothing that could be done for me as I left the next morning before breakfast could be served. Not even a croissant or cereals.

Lovely rooms and food

The room seemed rather small but that was because the bed was so huge! The bed was SO comfortable that I didn't want to get up in the morning! Lovely bedding and towels. Air-conditioning was a real bonus. Even though the room was right by the pub, it was quiet nevertheless. Close to where I parked my car so it was easy getting luggage in & out. The bathroom was small but perfectly functional. However, the bottom of the shower door and screen could have been a lot cleaner. The staff were excellent and seemed to genuinely care about their guests. I had an evening meal in the pub, which seemed expensive for the portion size, but was delicious. The cooked breakfast in the morning was again small but cooked to order and of very high quality. I had an idea where the Honingham Buck is, which was lucky due to the upgrading of the A47. My SatNav was really struggling. If driving from Norwich westwards it's easy to find but if travelling west to east it may be better to drive through Mattishall and the villages. It's well worth persevering to find "The Buck" and I will definitely stay again.

We had a twin room. which was much more spacious and in better condition than any of the other hotels we stayed at. Room and bathroom really clean and welcoming. Best night's sleep of the entire trip, plus very quiet location, even on a Saturday night. Staff were so helpful, and even squeezed us in for dinner - they have an excellent menu, plus brilliant wines. People had travelled from around the area to eat there. And when I left, I forgot my charger, they called and let me know asap. Would really recommend this place and say thanks to all the staff, from the person behind the bar who checked us in, to all of the serving staff.

Bathroom on the whole was clean with fresh towels but attention to cleanliness not at its best. Toilet seat was dirty and tops of plugs had lots of dust and even a hair on it in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and hot both rashers were very over done.

unfortunately when i arrived at 715pm Sunday they had just closed the kitchens even though meant to be open till 9pm. HOWEVER breakfast was lovely ( Wish i had dinner there too. But there was a Mc Donald's 10 minutes away. room very clean comfy and quiet.

Stayed with friends and we all thought that the pub was great lovely atmosphere friendly helpful staff , super breakfast and food was really delicious and interesting . I had a lift so did not use my car .

My room was well appointed, a lovely size and very comfortable. The air conditioning was a treat overnight, the location was lovely and quiet, the staff were incredibly friendly and my breakfast was second to none.

My pillow had a few marks on it - I didn't say anything, so there wasn't anything for the team to address. My bathroom was a bit tired, could do with a new shower and a tidy up on grouting. And some pesky ants were hanging around the desk

Unfortunately the bath had such high sides we couldn't get into it to use the shower- so old fashioned flannel wash - lovely hot water though!

Nice big car park near the accommodation. Food in the evening restaurant and breakfast was very nice. I'd prefer something sharp with the squid like a yuzu mayo instead of the black garlic but that's just my taste

A fascinating busy old pub, in a sweet little village. The cosy restaurant serves excellent food and you can sit in the sun in the Beer Garden and hear lots of birds singing. The staff were exceptional especially the breakfast lady.

Such a lovely spot, the rooms were a great size and to a good standard. Felt secure and private. The bathrooms were good size too. Had everything we needed for our stay there. No issues with cleanliness at all. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The food served couldn’t fault and they accommodated for our fussiness so a win! The breakfast in the morning I wasn’t expecting much but was actually brilliant and very generous portions / amount offered! Really quiet location and it’s great they rooms are in a separate building to the pub. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Rooms were just like the photos. Cozy and clean. Very short walk to the pub which was ideal as my Mum had limited mobility. Pub was very old, beautiful and great atmosphere in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. Good quality food. Same with the evening meal. All made a trip to Norwich (a short drive away) very special.

Garden view was lovely, comfortable spacious room. Decent bathroom with a good size bath to soak in. Friendly and welcoming staff who looked after us amiably. Good selection of beers and choice of food which was well presented and tasty.

It was modern and comfy. The evening meal food was lovely. The staff were friendly.

The shower/bathroom had a tiny shower screen. So went you showered the whole room got soaked. Struggle to go in without getting your feet wet. Also it was causing damage to the door through to the bedroom. Also lack of vegetarian breakfast for my wife. So she had poached eggs with 1 round of bread instead of a full English.

from the moment I arrived and was welcolmed to when I left in the morning the service was 1st Class. The room was great. Bed was so comfy struggled to wake up. The shower was big and temp perfect for me. Evening meal was really tasty and beer served with a smile. Really cozy atmostphere with log burner, a real old fashioned pub. In the morning had breakfast. two poached eggs on toast which were perfectly cooked. Even down to the salt & pepper grinders. Ground the salt & pepper evenly over my eggs. Tea pot poured great tea and did not spill everwhere like a lot of pots do. I could not find fault with the Pub which had been recommended to me. I stay in a lot of Pubs as love the vibe. I have to say that this ranks as exceptional and the best pub I have stayed in for many years. You will only be charmed and spoilt by the uncomplicated service within. Will defo be back.

Lovely cosy room, clean and contemporary. Beds were very comfortable. Young lad who checked us in was friendly. Bar area was cosy cosy and inviting - fire was lit. Dinner was nice, and the young waiting staff were lovely.

Breakfast the next morning - lady serving was polite but not particularly warm or friendly. Full English could not be adapted for vegetarians - all it takes is some veggie sausages and substitute the bacon for spinach or something similar.

Room adequate and clean breakfast and dinner good though wait for dinner was lengthy due to a large party being catered for.

The place was beautifully clean

I booked this stay as a gift for friends and their children who visited over xmas. The website stated 2 bedrooms although this was not the case when arrived. It also stated free cot however I was charged an extra £10 for the cot with no bedding! No heating was on when they arrived and as it was late they were in a cold room for a while.

Nice pub feel, all old oak beams, nicely set out. At the time it was all set up for Christmas and looked really nicely decorated. The rooms are a good size and seem to be fairly new. Bed was really big. Good size TV. My room had a velux window with a remote control to be able to close it at night. Breakfast was really nice.

Very comfortable bed, slept very well. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and plentiful. The dining area very cosy with the fire burning added to the very pleasant atmosphere

Whilst clean a perfectly acceptable the room, particularly the bathroom fittings would benefit from a deep clean and descale. A few items and surfaces in the bedroom also a deep clean.

The pub staff very helpful and attentive to all your needs. The food was well presented. Could do with more vegetarian options.

The room needs a refresh it’s tired, skirting boards need cleaning, the toilet needs a better clean. The wall as you walk in the front door needs repairing in the room we had. Large stain on the floor that hasn’t been removed.

Location was beautiful, great room and spacious. Staff really lovely and a good breakfast.

My daughter found the sofa bed a little uncomfortable ( family room) and we struggled to keep the bathroom floor dry because the shower screen is small ( it’s a wet room) and the spray goes everywhere.

It was just in the right place and service was great - most comfortable. Loved it all.

シャワー室の排水が弱く、すぐにトイレ側まで溢れてしまいました。せっかく素敵な部屋なのにインフラが弱いのはもったいないです。スタッフは可能な限りの対応をしてくれましたが、改良が必要でしょう。 どなたかが言及されていたグリーンライトは塞がれていて気になりませんでした。
