Due to unforgettable circumstances we had to change our accommodation at the last minute. Our host let us know early and found us the most awesome place to stay right in the middle of town. Huge comfortable king size bed. Big shower with great water pressure and hot. Our balcony had a beautiful view of the mountain. Loved the colour scheme of our unit.

Everything was great. Could have done with a mat in the bathroom.

Unfortunately, this stay fell well short of expectations. The room felt very tired, with stained and threadbare towels, while the bathroom and toilet were not up to an acceptable standard. the view was onto the back of some messy warehouse. Communication was also poor throughout, which added to the disappointment. Sadly, I would not recommend this accommodation.

We were served breakfast in our room because it was snowing and that was suggested by the host. There was also very clear instructions on how to access our keys since she was not in the premises when we checked in. The fire place was also an extra bonus since it was cold during our stay.

The booking included breakfast but when the guests went for breakfast at something to 10am, they were informed that breakfast closed at 9.30am, which was not communicated prior and no alternative arrangement was offered.

Lack if maintenance on wash basin as the water doesn't remain in the basin and drains away. Empty air freshener container in the bathroom. Asked for one, as a Spar shop is 30m away from premises. Didn't receive a new one. Very noisy environment in front of the guesthouse.

It is in a beautiful location with great visuals of the mountains. Our reception upon arrival was very welcoming without being intrusive . The facilities in the unit was on point with reference to the fireplace and hot blankets on the bed, especially necessary for one of the coldest nights. The shower was great in terms of water pressure and hot water. The unit is spacious with beautiful artwork on the walls.

Everything in the unit is of great standard, as there was nothing to complain about.

Its exactly like the pictures. I particularly enjoyed the fire place. Close to town and theres a spar within walking distance. Beautiful view of the mountains, if you are licky enough to visit when there’s snow u’d be in for quite a treat; sadly i missed it. Room service breakfast.

The bathroom is a little dated, so i did not enjoy bath times. Stairs😂. Have a small bag that u can carry up and down stairs. Otherwise i definitely would still book there even with these 2dislikes.

Location was great. Cassandra and her staff were super friendly. Spoilt with breakfast delivered to our room which was delicious 😋 Room was very clean and had the extra bonus of a fireplace which was perfect in the chilly weather.

Room needs a little maintenance, broken towel rail, curtain rail and windows don't seal properly. Outside light needs to be replaced almost fell down the stairs one evening 🙈 all minor things

They brought me a lovely breakfast to my room. The room was comfartable, spacious and clean. Everything I needed was there. I also had 2 dogs with me and they were recieved well.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The place is fairly close to all amenities. The room has everything you need, even a fireplace. We are planning to come back for a longer stay. Very affordable!

The location is perfect. The rooms are spacious. They clean the room every day. The drinking water and daily milk is a bonus. The electric blankets were welcome as Clarens gets very cold.

There are no top sheets on the beds. Only a thick duvet. For people like me who cannot sleep under a duvet (too hot) its awkward and uncomfortable.

The rooms were excellent, they had everything we needed and well taken care of. The team is fantastic and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and okay but also allowed us time to explore and enjoy Clarens and the property.

I liked everything. I definitely will be taking up the breakfast and lunch option next time, so I don't have to worry about meal times and cooking.

Room was spacious with a relatively good view. The town and surrounds are excellent. Large bed with warm duvet. Bedroom had a bedroom wall heater but did not help much. Breakfast was reasonably good.

The room was cold! No way of heating. On first day there was wood for fireplace but did not burn too well or heat the living area. Bedroom did not have a usable bedside lamp, so only harsh glaring light. Bathroom shower pan did not drain. TV remote hardly worked, battery flat. Arrival situation also poor. Phone not answered, tried twice. Hostonce located inside a pottery was helpful. Have visited here years ago and must say the experience was somewhat disappointing in comparison.

That Guesthouse is walking distance from the square. Nice and cozy. The parking is safe and secure.

Other guests were very noisy causing us to wake early. Maybe put a sign up reminding guests to be considerate of others especially outside the rooms. The bathroom curtains needs a good clean and the shower had a drainage problem. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

ALERT - Let’s explain how this business deceive customers. One thing is what they write in their ads and the other is how things work there: 1 - We booked a room with the accommodation and when we arrived there, the hotel was empty but it was arranged for us a room in the second level. When we asked help with the luggage we were informed that there was no one available. We asked to move to a room on the ground floor and this was attended. 2 - At that point the issues started. When we were entering the room with our 4 heavy bags, the Manager/Owner told us that the internet was not working but the next day early in the morning it was going to be working. My wife and I work remotely and needed the internet and the representatives of the accommodation knew it. The next day around 10 AM, I had to go to the Manager and ask about the internet. She addressed to us that the repair was there is a few minutes it was going to work. After 2 hour I returned to the manager and ask about the internet for my important work and she told me to use her office with internet. 3 - One hour later I returned to work at her office with internet but I was not allowed to use!!! 4- I stayed at the accommodation 2 nights, stating the first day at 2:30 PM and check out 2 days later at 10 AM. On the first day when I went to have a shower at night, I realized that there was no hot water for a shower and the reception was closed with no one to help. The next day I was informed by the manager that the cleaner turned off the hot water and someone was going to turn on the hot water. What was not addressed to us was the fact that the heat system needed two hours to heat up the water. We could only have a shower at 12PM of the second day. It means that I arrived tired from long drive but could only have a shower the next day at 12 PM. Poor cleaner, she became responsible for the hotel not to provide hot water to clients when they arrive. 5 - Have I been treated as a customer by this business?

Terrible customer service. Check-in was not handled at reception desk...we were given keys for the room in the street outside the guesthouse (apparently as a result of dogs onsite). Following several service requests regarding a non-functional TV, a non-working microwave, and a non-working bathtup hot water tap, we were completely ignored the entire day...and at about 7:30pm when they eventually answered our phone call, we were shouted-at by some very rude fellow, and told that they do not operate a 24hr reception service...which was ridiculous, as they had completely ignored our calls and whatsup messages the whole day. We then contacted Booking.com to lodge a complaint and insisted that the booking be cancelled with immediate effect. This was the worst ever experience at a Guesthouse in the lovely town of Clarens, where we've been visiting over the years.
