Very clean, excellent location. We could walk around downtown Cairo, visit Abou Tarek, Tahrir Square easily. Was upgraded also to a higher floor. Facilities were good. No noise on upper floors. Lovely small newsagent place opposite hotel. Staff friendly and helped us board taxis with luggage. Very good value for money.

Second bed could have been bigger.

Despite its prime location, the prices are excellent and affordable for everyone. The entire hotel staff—from the receptionists to the service team—are incredibly courteous and pleasant, always greeting guests with a smiles especially Mr Eslam. I highly recommend making this your first choice; a heartfelt thank you, and you will certainly be my top choice for future visits. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a two-minute walk from Talaat Harb Street, and is close to all the amenities a tourist might need. The cleanliness, service, and spacious, comfortable rooms are outstanding, and the breakfast buffet is absolutely superb.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent, and everything was well organized. We were also traveling with our baby, and the hotel was very accommodating and made our stay much easier and more comfortable. Overall, a lovely experience and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! ⭐️

Besonders hat uns der Service in allen Bereichen gefallen! Freundliche und kompetente Mitarbeiter überall! Weiters die Sauberkeit im Hotel, das in Ägypten nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. Die Lage so nahe am Tahrir-Platz im Zentrum ist perfekt. Das Frühstück ist nicht nur ein Geschmackserlebnis für alle, sondern auch sehr schön präsentiert. Es ist einfach eine Freude diese Vielfalt zu kosten und zu genießen!

Beim Abendessen hatten wir einen Tisch, der von der Klimaanlage angeblasen wurde. Selbst nach dem Tischwechsel war es immer noch sehr kalt im Speisesaal. Das ist eher ein technisches Thema, aber beim Abendessen mit Jacke zu sitzen ist bei 30°C außen auch nicht ok.

Muy céntrico, magnífica elección por su ubicación junto a la Plaza Tahrir. Ideal para ir al museo egipcio a pie y pasear por las caóticas pero seguras y bien organizadas calles del centro o cruzar hasta el otro lado del Nilo, y zambullirse en la peculiar vida Cairota.

The hotel is very good, clean rooms, has everything you’d need, welcoming and friendly staff, and a great location right in the city centre. It’s away from the main tourist attractions but still very convenient for getting to everything. Breakfast was also incredibly good, delicious, and had great variety. Overall a great experience and I’d happily stay again

Unfortunately, our stay was not as comfortable as we expected. Our room had a strong unpleasant smell, the shower leaked water into the bathroom, and there was no window that could be opened for fresh air. We also found the handling of our concerns disappointing. We spent a considerable amount of time communicating with the hotel regarding a simple goodwill gesture, but despite several emails, WhatsApp messages and face-to-face conversations, no satisfactory solution was offered during our stay. After departure, the hotel apologized and offered a 15% discount and a room upgrade for a future stay. While we appreciate the gesture, we would have expected any compensation to relate to the stay during which the problems actually occurred. The staff were generally friendly and the location is convenient, but unfortunately the room issues and the way our concerns were handled significantly affected our overall experience.

La struttura è in una posizione comodissima, pulita e moderna. Lo staff gentile e disponibile.

L’unica pecca della struttura è la piscina: essendo situata al 2 piano si percepisce tutto il traffico ed il rumore esterno.. non è un luogo dove rilassarsi a fine giornata.

Ohh how i loved this place. I have taken my time because I needed to give a well deserved proper review. The breakfast was amazing, but the staff were even better (everyone from the security, reception, housekeeping, the restaurant staff, the managers was genuinely kind and welcoming). I had a little issue with my eyes after a swim (probably an allergic to the kind of chlorine used) and i was honestly touched by how concerned and caring the staff were when I told them. They checked on me constantly and went out of their way to ensure I was okay. The fruits and soup they sent me were such a thoughtful gesture and made me feel genuinely cared for. That level of service honestly stood out for me. The location is also fantastic especially if you want to explore Cairo and have easy access to most places around the city like the Grand Egyptian Museum. I would happily stay here again, and even recommend everyone to stay.

The major issue I had was with the hotel location on the Maps apps because the map often directs you to the back of the hotel rather than the main entrance. I am not sure whteher this is something the hotel can do but an updated map is needed especially for when one has luggage and can't comfortable move to the back. I also noticed the smoking in common areas which can be very uncomfortable. It would make the hotel experience better for non smokers like me if there were some restrictions on smoking in areas used by everyone, or at lease enforce smoking areas.

L’hôtel se situe au centre de la ville à deux pas du Nil. Quartier très animé mais on entend rien la nuit. Personnel très très gentil , toujours le sens du détail. Beaucoup de choix au petit déjeuné, produits locaux et européen.

Prix excésif au restaurant de l’hôtel comparer au restaurant de la ville. En mangeant dans des restaurants locaux à 3 nous pouvions manger pour 700 LE comparer à l’hôtel où nous avons payer 6000 LE.

Our stay in Steigenberger was above our expectations. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the rooms very comfortable and sparkling clean. All the staff starting from the reception to the waiters and cleaners were so friendly and helpful (Thanks to Ahmed!). I was been in 5 stars hotel in the past and I can tell that even Steigenberger is a 4 star I would think they are a 5 star hotel, you cannot think otherwise after staying here and see how much this property and the staff can offer. More than recommended, you have to go.

I had a wonderful stay at Steigenberger Hotel Cairo. The hotel is very neat and always kept clean, and I really appreciated how the staff regularly changed the bed linen and checked in to make sure everything was okay or if I had any complaints. What touched me the most was the birthday surprise. I honestly forgot it was my birthday because I was so exhausted from training. When I returned to my super clean room, I found a beautiful and delicious birthday cake waiting for me. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture, and it truly made my day special. Thank you, Steigenberger, for making my stay so memorable. I’ll definitely keep coming back, God willing. ❤️

Hotel très bien situe mais un peu bruyant par moment le soir a cause de la rue. Les personnels est très professionnel. Mention spéciale pour le jeune homme Ali du 7 ème étage qui est bienveillant et au petit soin avec tout les clients. Et d'une gentillesse rare. Et Asma au petit déj qui faisait qu'on manquait de rien. Je reviendrai.

Adoramos ter está experiência 🥼🧪 Este hotel foi um dos melhores hotéis que já fiquei 💗 O serviço de quarto é super bom e deixando tudo bem organizado ☺️ A localização é boa encontra-se a alguns metros do Rio Nilo O quarto é super confortável com tudo bem limpo e cheiroso. Funcionários muito educados e simpáticos, e algum deles que se destacaram nesta estadia foram: Ahmed que sempre nos dava indicações e se preocupava connosco Cristihne, ela é muito fofa e super simpática sempre com o sorriso em seu rosto 🌝 Shaaban que ficava sempre ao horário da noite a servirnos todos os dias que ainda estava em treinamento e na mesma atendeu tão bem que até nos surpreendemos. Asmaa super fofa e no final nós comprimentos e se despediu de nós desta estadia ótima que tivemos neste hotel 🏨 Os chefes do restaurante que fizeram a melhor omelete de sempre adoramos . Estamos dizendo aqui alguns nomes mas todos foram ótimos/as. Agradecemos por todo o carinho e o respeito que tiveram por nós. Aqui deixamos está palavra neste hotel super divertido e animado.

Wir sind spät angereist und die Zimmer waren nicht runtergekühlt, ein Pluspunkt! Lage nicht weit von der Talat Harb street mit vielen Geschäften und Restaurants (eher Fastfood). Pool area war bis Mitternacht zugänglich. Betten sind sehr bequem. Beim Frühstück (6-10am) gab es eine ausreichende Auswahl an frischen Früchten, Brötchen, Marmelade, Eierspeisen (Omelette wurde frisch zubereitet), Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Zimmer 8002 liegt direkt am Aufzug, trotzdem war es nicht laut. Fenster im Zimmer kann man nicht öffnen.

Le prix du petit déjeuner est prohibitif et incohérent par rapport au prix de la chambre Le service en charge des excursions est à revoir. Il ne répond pas aux demandes faites via booking et sur place, a proposé des visites à des prix indécents totalement déconnectés de la réalité : transport vers et des Pyramides à 114 USD au moment où les Ubers coûtent 200 EGP maximum, l’heure de camel ride proposée à 100 USD alors qu’elle coûte 100 EGP tarif officiel Ce n’est pas sérieux et questionne …

فندق "شتايجنبرجر التحرير" من أروع الفنادق التي جربتها في القاهرة. النظافة فيه لا يعلى عليها، وموقعه قبالة ميدان التحرير ممتاز للتسوق والتنزه سيرًا على الأقدام. ​طعام المطعم صحي ومتميز جدًا، والفضل يرجع للعمود الفقري للمطعم الشيف عبد الرحمن بفضل حرصه الشخصي على متابعة النزلاء، إلى جانب الآنسة دنيا التي تعاملت معنا بقمة الذوق والمهنية. ولا أنسى السيدة سلمى في الاستقبال على حفاوتها وتفانيها. ​

الملاحظة الوحيدة خلال إقامتنا لـ 8 ليالٍ هي أن مساحة الغرفة كانت ضيقة قليلاً بالنسبة لثلاثة أفراد (بالغَين وطفل 14 سنة). رغم ذلك، أنصح الجميع بزيارته والحجز فيه بثقة.

No WiFi but it was not the Hotel’s fault.

Convenient location, comfortable bed, friendly service, a quiet place to relax in the busy city.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Het zwembad is klein maar welkom na een dag in de stad. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en zeer verzorgd. De badkamer is erg proper. Wij zaten op de negende verdieping en hoorden bijna niets van het lawaai.

Iedereen is erg vriendelijk, maar er wordt constant gevraagd om scores en beoordelingen te geven: tijdens het ontbijt, tijdens het diner, ze bellen je ook iedere dag op om te vragen hoe het je bevalt en of ze iets kunnen doen. Dit gaat er echt over. Het zwembad ligt aan de straatkant en is enorm lawaaierig.

All reviewers seem to mention the staff… but, yes it was the staff who were superb and made the hotel. Fantastic, grand, a bit posh, very clean, lovely coffee in the morning, nice open bar area, and we ate in the restaurant over half of our nights.

The location was both good and bad. It’s so close to everything which is why we chose it… we are use to walking everywhere on holidays, but the crazy Cairo roads/drivers meant we didn’t venture further walking than the old museum and the amazing Abou Tarek restaurant (it’s viral on the socials. Check it out) as we were too cautious/scared! But still close for Ubers and all the guides picked us up and dropped us off each day.

Siamo tornati allo Steigenberger El Tahrir per la seconda volta dopo cinque anni e nulla è cambiato: ottimo rapporto qualità - prezzo, pulizia eccellente, personale gentile, attento e professionale, struttura curata e colazione strepitosa. La nostra camera vista piscina era ben accessoriata e corredata di ottimi prodotti per l’igiene personale. Una cosa che ho apprezzato è la possibilità di regolare l’aria condizionata in camera senza gli eccessi tipici di alcuni hotel.

Localização excelente, atenção dos funcionários e limpeza. É uma cadeia de hotéis espectacular e uma pérola no meio do caos do Cairo. Os funcionários são super atenciosos e disponíveis, prontos para ajudar em qualquer situação. Pequeno almoço com elevada qualidade. Segurança total, para entrar na zona de parking do hotel todos os condutores têm que se registar, inclusive os guias turísticos. Recomendo a 100%!
